Twilight was finally feeling like she had some space to just be herself. It wasn't that she didn't love Celestia with all of her heart, or desire to spend every waking moment with her. It was just that she hadn't had much time to actually think about things. Especially what happened in the shower. Her mind was lost in deep concentration as she went over the event. The feeling, the sensations, the kissing, and the look of love in Celestia's eyes. They were so great, so deep, and so full of passion that Twilight had been lost in them. It was only after it was over, and after Celestia had ceased babying her that she finally let it click into place.
She had sex with Celestia.
The idea, the mere notion, the implication alone, was enough to send Twilight's face into a fit of blushing red. At least her nethers were not burning up like before. They felt... satisfied if that was a thing she could say about the place she peed from. Yes, satisfied was suitable. She hadn't ever really considered how good that sort of thing could feel. Far as she was concerned up until now, it was just a way for procreation to work, and something lovers did once married. Then again, if what Celestia and Luna both told her was true, she probably wasn't going to get 'married' she was going to get a herd.
Was she expected to do that with all of her friends? No, better question, was she going to be lucky enough to get to do that with all of her friends? The mere idea sent shivers down her spine. She could feel something in her mind wash away, like some filter that had been there preventing her from understanding the world around her in perfect harmony was going away. Yet the truth it was replaced by left her feeling excited. She wanted to know more.
Spike was busy putting a few of the book returns away nearby. So she thought she'd ask him, he always knew more about this kind of thing anyway. "Spike, do we have any books on lovemaking?"
"HA, do we? It's half of what ponies want around here anyway. I'd say Ponyville is full of perverts but that would be an understatement."
"How come I didn't know this before?"
"Know what?"
"Ponyville being full of 'perverts' or that we had sexual books."
Spike gave her the strangest look. "Because every single time we talk about it until right this moment, your eyes would glaze over and you'd ignore what we said..."
"That doesn't sound like me."
"Twilight, it sounds like you to a T. The fact you're talking about it now doesn't sound like you. Did something happen?"
Twilight's entire face went blushing red and she looked down at the papers on her desk with sudden importance. "Oh no, just uh... requests from ponies.."
"Yeah, I don't believe you. So who was it?"
"I don't see why I'd have to have made love to somepony for me to ask about such things. I am an adult!"
"I didn't say you did, but good to know. Now who was it?"
"I... it's private, Spike!"
"HA! That's fine. I just wanted to make sure you'd actually done it. Got rid of that virginity of yours finally huh? Maybe now you can get over the trauma that Cadance left with you?"
"Trauma?"
Spike froze in place, gulped and looked over at her with wide eyes. "Oh... oh you really are paying attention now aren't you?"
"Spike, what trauma."
"I... I don't want to risk hurting you."
"Spike, you better tell me or I'll go ask Cadance herself."
"No! Don't do that. She'll tell Celestia and then I'll get in trouble... Just don't tell anypony that I told you this okay."
"I promise."
Spike let out a sigh of defeat and then nodded. "When you were a filly, you hid under Celestia's bed one time, Cadance and Shining Armor snuck into the princess's bedroom to have sex on her bed. Yes that's as gross and weird as it sounds. Since you were under the bed at the time... you must have heard or seen something that bothered you. Because after that, you haven't been able to comprehend sex outside of a strictly biological need for procreation. You even saw some of our friends having sex once and just couldn't perceive them. It was... kinda scary."
"I see." Twilight looked down at her papers letting that information sink over her. She couldn't remember the event at all, but what he said did make perfect sense. If that event had caused her underdeveloped mind some trauma then she may have put up a mental barrier to defend herself. Tartarus, she could have even used actual magic to do so. But now that she'd made love, the spell, or trauma, or whatever must have been broken. "Thank you for telling me. I won't tell anypony you said that. I'll just say that I remembered the event myself. Still... ew. On Celestia's bed."
"Right."
"If anypony should make love in that bed it should be me and cel-"
Twilight cut herself off but it was far too late. Spike's jaw dropped as he glanced upstairs where the princesses were relaxing. "You and Celestia... wow... okay, I am not going to say anything. Just... like.. score?"
"Score? There's a score? Like in the sports?"
"Ugh, you're such a nerd."
"But you still love me right?"
He smiled up at her before going back to work. "Who couldn't love you? Apparently, Celestia can't say no either HA!"
Twilight realized things were probably about to get real awkward around here... oh who was she kidding, they crossed that barrier the moment Luna told her she was going to help her get a herd. This was just an evolution of absolutely weird and probably terrible writing tropes made manifest. She'd need to do research into these books her library had and soon. After all she had an awful lot of catching up to do.
Later into the evening Twilight made her way upstairs and found Celestia peacefully napping in front of the fireplace sleeping her cares away. Luna was walking around looking a bit less relaxed than her slumbering sister. Luna looked over the moment Twilight entered the room. "Twilight, we request entertainment from thee."
Twilight shook her head. "Want entertainment? Read a book, I have more than en-" Twilight stopped herself when she realized that Luna may not be talking about the traditional kind of entertainment. "Um... do you mean something... more private?"
Luna shrugged. "Nay, we are seeking entertainment from an electronic source. A TV is what we require."
"Oh, I have one of those. I put it away, give me a moment I'll get it out for you."
"You have put your TV away? Why? What foul demon has possessed you to perform such action?"
"No demon, I just don't like distractions when I'm surrounded by books. Spike doesn't even like the TV much."
"How dare!"
Twilight opened the supply closet and pulled out the TV in question. A 24 four-inch, black and white TV with a total of 24 channels. It was attached to a cart, and had a VHS player player. "I usually only have this on hand for educational purposes. Works better than the projector which somepony, and I won't name the rainbow-haired menace, broke with a jar of peanut butter."
Luna looked at the TV one of her eyes twitching as she studied it. "Twilight... please tell us this is some kind of jest."
"Oh no, I'm sincere, you can use my TV as much as you want, Luna. I don't mind I promise."
"How... how does one play video games upon this thing?"
"Video games?" Twilight sat down for a moment and let out a quiet sigh of defeat. "Listen, I have a history with those."
"Oh you like to play?"
"No... but... ugh, okay let me explain. When I was younger I used to think video games, movies, and TV were all just there to give ponies a severe case of brain rot. It wasn't until I caught Fluttershy playing some weird game, Super Maria Sisters or something, that I thought I'd look into it more. I did extensive studies into gaming and its effects on the brain. While certainly a few games are not good for your mental health, what I found is that certain parts of the pony brain are stimulated during 'intense gaming sessions' new skills especially problem-solving skills are practiced and it can actually help increase one's intellect. If one plays right. In the case of Fluttershy, it was more that she found the game relaxing and therapeutic. She also likes some game called Fable Craft."
Luna nearly squeed as she hopped into the air. "Oh yes! We and the Fluttershy play Fable Craft all the time. We have a server together. She builds such beautiful and organic structures, like houses shaped like bunnies. We build more sharp and contrasting castles. Together we're working on a project to make an organic castle design. It is so pretty!"
"See now that's the kind of gaming I approve of. It helps reinforce creative problem-solving, artistic skills, and resource management skills. I can see it really helping young ponies education."
Luna grinned. "Agreed. Now where is the gaming console, we art bored and our sister's dreams are no longer fun to watch. We need entertainment."
Twilight raised an eyebrow. "Gaming console? Luna... I don't own one."
Luna's eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "Surely you must own at least one? A Pony Entertainment System?" Twilight shook her head. "A Pony Genesis?" Another shake. "A Pony Colt Color?" Another Shake. "... A computer?"
"Oh I do own a computer. It doesn't have any games though, its just for work."
Luna slumped down. "Not even solitaire?"
"Took up space, so I deleted it."
"You are the biggest of buzz kills"
That was not the first time Twilight had heard such things. Still it hurt her feelings to hear such coming from Luna. Especially after all the promises to help build a herd. How could Twilight take care of a whole bunch of ponies if she was so boring that even one would be fed up with her. "I'm sorry."
Luna blew out an exasperated sigh. "Tis fine. We did not fall in love with you for your gaming preferences after all."
"I'm... wait, you love me?"
"Twilight, do you have any games? Even board games?"
Twilight's ears perked up at that. She jumped into the air and giggled. "OH, now you're talking my speed. Board games, card games, dice games. I have lots of those. Even ones that are not based solely on educational values."
"Let us see this gaming collection, and we shall make you entertain us then."
"Okay!" Twilight was happy to find something they could bond over.
As she introduced Luna to the gaming closet, she watched as Luna's eyes widened once more, this time they sparkled with excitement as she looked at the some eighty-plus games stored all neatly and organized in the closet. "You love board games?"
"Of course I do. They build friendships. I have a lot of cooperative-based games, my favorite one is Zombie Ponies. It... scares Fluttershy, but I think it's a wonderful little game based on working together, problem-solving, and friendship."
Luna gasped. "YOU HAVE THIS!"
Her dark blue aura reached out and gently slid a copy of Zombie Ponies Crimson Tide out of the shelf. Twilight giggled as she put a hoof on it. "I signed up for the Buckstarter."
"Twilight Sparkle, you do not know how rare this is. We have sought a copy for some time, but you have one right here. This, we shall play this until the morrow comes on incestuous golden tides."
Twilight Sparkle blinked at that. "Um... what?"
"It means when Celestia wakes up. She is currently dreaming of you, something about raising you as a filly in a small home just the two of you and your older sister."
"I don't have a sister."
"In her dreams, she sees Cadance in that role."
"OH! Yes, I can see that. That's sweet of her."
Luna giggled. "Game, now, then we can discuss other plans later."
Before Twilight could do or say much else, they had gotten into gaming. Once Spike came upstairs he joined in and the three of them played board games until the wee hours of the night. At least until Spike and Twilight passed out. This was truly a splendid night for the three of them.
