Fleur en scales (a Spike and and Twilight lost connection side story)

The massive skyscrapers of Vanhoover towered over the busy streets below, as a familiar figure pondered the city without notice. It was Spike he had deterred his mother princess Celestia to buy her a gift whilst they were getting some last minute supplies for their mother and son day they had planned later that day in the forest near Silver Shores.

Spike hadn't been to Vanhoover by himself before, but he wanted to get his mother/potential marefriend, a gift for planning this special day for them. So while he shopped for the supplies, he was window shopping for a that would make his mom happy. Unfortunately, the things he thought would make her happy was too expensive to even think about buying, so he decided to wait until next time he had a bigger allowance. He eventually met up with Celestia in the hotel district and she asked if they could get this last bit of items before they left.

Spike checked the list and said "Extra cookies? Check. Honey lemon tea? Check. ...banana flavored condoms?" Spike looked at his adopted mother as she had a sluty look on her when he mentioned the condoms, she looked at him and said "those are for some 'late night fun tonight~' I didn't say it was gonna be just a Mother and son day...it'll also be a lovers night~" Spike looked at her with a knowing smug, knowing that his mom would fix sex in there day somewhere. Celestia and Spike grew curious as well and decided to go and investigate. It turned out that the mayor of vanhoover and the mayor of coltarodo were having an argument on financial terms that could benefit both their citys economy and their tourists numbers. The problem...who would get control over the share.

The argument seemed to be ready to blow up into a Civil War between both citys if something wasn't done. Celestia knew this, but didn't want want this come between her day with Spike, especially since planning another one was tricky with her schedule was so tight. She had to talk to her planner on scheduling more time with Spike in the future.

Spike knew that private days with his mom are hard to come by, but this situation proved to be an immediate danger. So he said "go mom. I'll wait Here. After you get it resolved, we can head to silver shores and have a good time together."

Celestia was proud of her son for seeing the bigger picture of what could happen if this was let alone. She kneeled down to his eye level and said " I'll try to make this quick sweetie. Ill come find you When I'm done, and we will head straight to sliver shores. I love you." She gave him a quick kiss on thr check, dawned her official royal Attire, and when to resolve this matter.

Spike decided to hang out near the hotel district as it had lobbys to stay in and cool off incase its too hot to stay out too long. As he was waiting for Celestia to return, he began to think what would make a perfect gift for her, when a familiar voice called out to him and said "well as I live and breathe, if it isn't my old pal Spike!"

Spike turned around to see who was called him, and was shocked by who it was. The stallion in question was a stallion who's he's ran into multiple times while living in cantrlot castle. He name is fancy pants. He was a highly respected member of the cantrlot elite, was in the day court second only by his mother Princess Celestia, and is one of the most wealthy ponys in equestria. However, no pony would ever expect that a young dragon was his best friend! "It's been a long time old friend! How have you been?"

Spike walked up to fancy pants and shook his hoof saying "likewise old friend! I've been good being Twilight's assistant. So, what's beings a pony like you to vanhoover? Here for the sights? Or here for the REAL sights~?"

Fancy pants chuckled, amused that Spike still knew him so well. "Hahaha. Oh Spike, still can see right though me can't you? While I do admit the mares here ARE quite a sight and I wouldn't mind a 'up close' tour, I'm afraid this is more of a emergency call."

Spike was curious shout what he meant. He knew that fancy pants had some businesses here, they've always had a good showing giving how popular they were. He asked him "what's the emergency? Has something happened to one of your businesses?"

Fancy pants shook his head and said "No, they've been doing rather well actually. But not for much longer if these feuds keep going."

Spike grew concerned and said, "feuds? What do you mean?"

Fancy pants began to explain the problem "well recently, the cities of vanhoover and coltaroto have purchased a old mining operation in the mountains near by. It turned out that a miner pony had discovered a active vein of golden gems in the mines!"

Spike's eyes widen in excitement! Saying "Golden gems?! Those are extremely rare to find! I thought they could only be found in Kencoltky? If there's a vein of it here..."

"Haha! My thoughts exactly my old friend! Such a rare business opportunity to use those gems! Of course, there in lays the problem. Both of the cities clam that the vein is on their property of the mine and have started a feud to claim the others land and the vein of golden gems."

Spike then realized the Severity of the situation and said "if those two keep on fighting like this...then this feud will eventually grow into a war! And the golden gems will probably be lost forever!"

Fancy pants nodded at the young dragon,always amazed that someone so young and see the dangers that surround a problem. "Yes, as you can see, the problem isn't just a financial problem but a potential disaster for all of equestria. That's why I arrived here as quickly as possible. I hope to get the mayors to compromise a agreement that can benefit both cities equally. And use that opportunity to score a share of the golden gems in the process."

Spike had decided to tell him about his mom's presence in vanhoover, so he can help them to take care of this problem before it gets any worse. "Fancy, hold on! My mother is also here in the city. We heard the ruckus earlier and when to try and resolve it."

Fancy pants was surprised by the news to say the least and said "The princess? Here? Why that's a real coincidence! What were you Two doing out here anyway?"

Spike began his own explanation on why they were in vanhoover as well "we were passing by on our way to silver shore. We had a mother and son day planned when all this started."

Fancy smiled and said "a mother and son day? Golly good! I'm glad Celestia finally made time in her schedule to spend quality time with you. That's what makes a family strong after all."

Spike then nodded, agreeing with that advice. Fancy then had a look of remembrance as he said "great goggley moggley, how could I forget! Spike I'm terribly sorry to ask this on you but...I have a urgent matter to ask you about."

Fancy started to get nervous and said "Well yes...it's more of a personal matter actually."

Spike could see fancy feeling nervous about something and It usually meant something big, so he said " listen fancy. whatever you need, I'll help you with. Just tell me what's going on."

Fancy pants decided to take the plunge and ask him, "Spike my friend. We've been friends for years now. We've helped each other though think and thin, you helped the day court countless times, and you even introduced me to my wife fleur-de-lis. And now I ask you for this personal favor...be my wife's sex partner!"

Spike nearly jumped out of his scales when he said that and said "wait...WHAT?! but...but she's your wife fancy! You want me to help her cheat on you?!"

Fancy pants nodded in understanding saying "I understand perfectly Spike. As for why, well...it's actually purely for business. Some ponys can't afford the cost of their purchase so they offer sex as a I.O.U if that makes sense. Others use sex as payment for any last minute augments that they have and They she use see as payment to see who wants it the most.
