Silverstream hides from her friends.

Later that day after class at around 5pm, he went over to Silverstreams room. Even though he knew she liked him back, he still felt a bit shy about it himself, since he had never confessed his feelings to a girl. Still though, he felt excited about it. He had no idea for ages that Silverstream liked him, and now that he had found out she did, he felt so happy inside.

Gallus had never known someone who had feelings for him, and someone like Silverstream wanting him, it made him feel special.

He had not interacted with Silverstream at all today. He did have one class with her earlier, but she sat on literally the opposite end of class from where he was, and she probably knew he was there, but she hadn’t dared look at him.

He wanted to go sit next to her, so he asked Applejack if he could move next to her, but she said, “Sorry Gallus, you’ve already chosen your seat, you’re going to have to sit there.”

He wanted to get up and talk to her, but he wasn’t allowed to just get up in class to talk to another student.

He called out to her multiple times, but she wouldn’t respond to or look at him. He could tell she could hear him because she was beginning to look nervous.

Lastly he tried to talk to her when class finished, but she got out too quickly and he failed to get to her.

He then went up to Silverstream’s room and knocked on her door. “Who is it?” Said Silverstream.

“It’s Gallus,” he said. But then Silverstream went dead silent and didn’t say anything. Gallus was now getting a bit impatient and eager for her attention. “Silver I know you’re in there, I heard you say who is it.” And yet she didn’t respond as she was too scared to talk to him.

Gallus then stormed off down the hallway. Her lack of confidence was starting to piss him off quite a bit. “Why won’t she just talk to me for fuck sake!”

He then bumped into Ocellus, who was walking down the hall as well. “Oh hi Gallus,” she said, “Did you find Silverstream?”

“She’s in her room, but she’s being a pussy and won’t talk to me.”

Ocellus looked disappointed, “Really? That’s annoying. Didn’t you have English with her before lunch today though?” She asked.

“Yes but she sat on the other end of class and wouldn’t even look at me. Have you seen her at all today?”

“No, it’s like she’s just ghosted us.”

Gallus was honestly starting to worry about Silverstream. “Do you think you could come help me with something on my English assignment? It should only take a few minutes.”

“Sure Gallus. I unfortunately have a counselling appointment with Trixie in about 15 minutes, but I can come help you with it when I’m finished. I should be finished by 7.”

“Thanks Ocellus.”

Later on Gallus was in his room waiting for Ocellus. He was still feeling a bit sad that Silverstream was avoiding him, if only she knew how much she meant to him.

Then Gallus heard Ocellus knock on the door, meaning she had now presumably finished her appointment.

“Coming,” said Gallus as he went to open the door for Ocellus. As he was opening the door he said, “Thanks Ocellus, I really appreciate your…” only to find it was actually Silverstream, looking at him nervously.

“Hi…Gallus,” she said very shyly.

Gallus had not been expecting this. He spoke in a flirtatious tone, “Hello there beautiful, I’m glad to see you’ve finally come to see me. Why have you been avoiding me all day?”

Silverstream looked at him with a bit of remorse “Do you really like me Gallus?”

“Yeah, course I do, I tried to get your attention in class today, but you wouldn’t respond to me.”

Silverstream sighs, “I’m sorry Gallus, it’s just, I’ve never had a boyfriend before and I’m just a bit nervous about it. Like this all happened ever so suddenly, they asked me my crush was literally last night and now you already know it’s you. I guess I just needed some time to let it sink in.”

“I understand Silverstream. We don’t have to go into a full on relationship now if you don’t feel ready for it. I must admit I’d rather take things as slowly as we can. I don’t want to get into anything too soon. But whenever me and you hang out, it’s always with all our other friends, and, it’d be nice if we could like spend time alone, just you and me.”

“Yeah, I’d love to,” she said. Silverstream was now feeling like her old excited self again. “Just asking though, are our friends mad at me for avoiding them?”

“No of course they’re not, they understood why.”

“That’s good, I’ll apologise to them later,” she said again. Then she spoke to Gallus in a mildly flirtatious tone, “But, I think it can wait until later. Maybe now for the first time ever we really can have some alone time.”

“There’s just one problem with that Silverstream.”

“Oh, what is it?”

“Ocellus is coming over soon to help me with my English assignment.”

“Oh, well maybe I can help you with that.”

Gallus looked at Silverstream a bit awkwardly, unsure whether to decide or not, but then Gallus heard his phone go off. He saw that he had got a text message from Ocellus saying, “Hey Gallus, very sorry, I have to go help Thorax out with something back at the changeling hive. Real sorry, but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning before I can help you.”

“Oh never mind,” said Gallus to Silverstream. “Ocellus just texted me saying she’s not going to make it.”

“Oh that’s good, well, do you want me to help you with your assignment?” She said.

Gallus looked at her in an adoring way, “Yes please Silverstream. I’ll text Ocellus saying I’m getting from with you.”

Then Silverstream came into Gallus’ room with him. “Your room smells nice Gallus.”

“Oh, thanks,” said Gallus who was looking a bit shy and blushing a bit.

Then all of a sudden they hear Sandbar knocking at the door. “Hey Gallus are you in there? I can’t get in because I gave my key to you earlier and I forgot to ask for it back,” said Sandbar. Gallus and Silverstream kept their mouths dead shut. “Huh, maybe he’s not in there,” said Sandbar to himself and then walked off.

“Phew, that that was a close one,” said Gallus. “Thank god I forgot to give his key back to him.”

“Yeah, do you think Sandbar will be okay though?” She asked.

“He’ll be fine, it’s only 7 o’clock. He doesn’t go to bed until like midnight.”

“Okay. So you want help with your assignment?”

“I think it can wait a bit. Why don’t we just, I don’t know, snuggle up in bed for a bit?”

Silverstream smiled at him, “That’d be nice.” And she slowly crawled under his blankets with him.
