Twilight’s heart was pounding as she took in the scene before her. The Golden Oak Library—her home, her sanctuary—was standing there, as if untouched by the chaos that had torn it apart during her battle with Tirek. It was hard to believe. The place she had spent so many years, the place that held so many memories, now stood right before her, preserved in time. Every book, every shelf, every corner seemed just as it had been the last time she had seen it, a perfect reflection of her past life.

“I thought it was destroyed when I battled Tirek,” she whispered to herself, unable to tear her eyes away from the door. There was a deep sense of disbelief in her voice. Could it be? Could this be real?

Her heart ached with a mix of joy and confusion. Was this a dream? Was this a strange illusion? But as she looked at her friends, they were all just as shocked as she was.

"You’ve got to see the inside, Twilight," Rainbow Dash said eagerly, already pushing open the door with a hoof. “It’s huge! It’s just like you left it!” Her voice was filled with excitement.

Twilight followed behind her, each step feeling like a step back in time. When they entered the library, she gasped in awe. The inside was exactly as she remembered it: bookshelves filled to the brim with volumes, the large windows letting in the soft moonlight, the spiral staircase leading up to the second floor. Everything seemed to be in perfect order.

“How did you find this?” Twilight asked, her voice full of amazement as she turned to face her friends. Her eyes scanned the familiar surroundings. She had so many questions. How had it been restored? Why hadn’t she been informed?

“No threats have been detected,” Tempest Shadow said quietly, scanning the room with a thoughtful look. She stood tall and poised, her sharp eyes taking in every detail of the room. “It’s safe.”

Twilight was so lost in the beauty of the moment that she almost didn’t notice Fluttershy stepping forward, a soft smile on her face as she approached with something in her hooves. “Owlowiscious brought me here,” she explained softly, her voice full of affection as she held up a small scroll.

Twilight felt a surge of warmth in her chest. Owlowiscious! Of course, her wise old owl would be the one to lead them to this place. She could picture him fluttering in and out of the library, always keeping a watchful eye over her.

“And there are presents too!” Spike’s voice broke through her thoughts. He held up a comic book, a new addition that she had never seen before. “Can I read this one, Twilight?” he asked excitedly, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Twilight gave him a warm smile. “Of course, Spike. I’m just as curious as you are.” She took a deep breath, trying to process everything that was happening. This was too much. The library, the presents, the mysterious magic—it was all overwhelming.

Fluttershy, still holding the scroll, looked at it with gentle eyes. “May I read this?” she asked, her voice soft as ever. Twilight nodded, motioning for her to continue.

Fluttershy unfurled the scroll carefully, her eyes scanning the words as she began to read aloud. “For Twilight, books from my world…” She paused and handed Twilight a large, leather-bound book with a simple title: Therapy. Twilight raised an eyebrow, intrigued. She made a mental note to read it later. It sounded important, but she didn’t have the time to look at it just yet.

“For Spike,” Fluttershy continued, reading from the scroll, “comics from my world. If you don’t like a series, it’ll disappear and be replaced with new ones.”

Spike’s eyes widened in excitement. “Cool!” he exclaimed, immediately flipping through the pages of Superman: Birthright. He was already absorbed in the comic, eagerly turning each page, completely lost in the world it contained.

Twilight smiled, her heart warmed by the sight of her assistant so happy. She could tell that Spike was already planning which comic book he’d dive into next.

Fluttershy’s voice returned as she read the next part. “Walk into the next room.”

Everyone exchanged puzzled glances before stepping toward the next door. They opened it together, curiosity buzzing in the air. The room beyond the door was a complete surprise. Fluttershy gasped, her hooves trembling as she dropped the scroll in shock. Twilight followed her gaze and immediately understood why.

The room was filled with animals—cats, dogs, rabbits, and a variety of other creatures, many of which were injured or appeared to have been abandoned. It was a sight that filled Fluttershy with immediate concern, and Twilight could see her friend’s heart breaking for the poor creatures that filled the room.

“Oh my goodness, where did you all come from?” Fluttershy whispered, her voice full of surprise and tenderness. She took a hesitant step forward, her wings fluttering nervously at her sides.

Starlight Glimmer, standing quietly beside the group, picked up the scroll again and continued reading the next line. “These animals are for Fluttershy, to help find them new homes—some have missing limbs, and others are… a bit more challenging.”

Fluttershy’s eyes softened with compassion. She approached one of the more aggressive dogs in the room, whose teeth were bared in a snarl. The dog growled, its fur bristling, but Fluttershy wasn’t scared. Her voice was calm and soothing as she approached him.

“Hello, friend,” she said gently, lowering herself to the ground so that she was on the same level as the dog. The dog lunged at her, snapping at her wing in an instinctive display of aggression. But Fluttershy remained completely calm. With one gentle yet intense gaze, she met the dog’s eyes.

The Stare. It was a gift that Fluttershy had honed over the years, and it worked every time. Slowly, the dog’s body relaxed. The aggression melted away from his posture as he sat down, his eyes softening. “There we go,” Fluttershy whispered, reaching out a gentle hoof. “You’re safe now.”

Twilight watched in awe. She had always known how strong and capable Fluttershy was, but seeing her in action like this was something special. Fluttershy was truly a healer, in every sense of the word.

“Sorry, Starlight, I interrupted you,” Fluttershy said quietly, lowering her gaze as she turned back to the group.

Starlight smiled, understanding the importance of what had just happened. “It’s fine, Fluttershy. I understand,” she said kindly. She turned back to the scroll and continued reading.

“And for Rarity…” Starlight said, her voice growing more excited. “Unlimited fabric for all the dresses she could ever imagine.”

Rarity’s eyes sparkled with delight. She gasped, her face lighting up with joy. “Oh my stars! May I feel some of the fabric?” she asked eagerly, trotting over to a pile of shimmering silks and delicate lace. Her hooves trembled with excitement as she ran them over the luxurious fabrics, her eyes gleaming. “This is simply divine!” she exclaimed, her excitement barely contained.

Starlight continued, her voice full of amusement. “And for Rainbow Dash… an unlimited cider barrel.”

Rainbow Dash’s jaw dropped, her eyes widening in disbelief. “No way!” she shouted, dashing over to a massive barrel with the words Sweet Apple Acres Reserve emblazoned on the side. Without hesitation, she filled a mug and took a long swig, her grin widening as the cider hit her taste buds. “This… is… awesome!” she declared, her voice full of satisfaction.

“It will literally never stop,” Starlight said with a chuckle, clearly amazed at the infinite supply of cider.

Suddenly, Pinkie Pie’s voice broke through the noise. “Wait, is that a cannon?” she asked, her eyes locking on a brightly colored object in the corner.

Starlight laughed as she read the next line. “And a cannon for Pinkie Pie!”

Pinkie Pie’s face lit up with glee as she dashed over to her very own Party Cannon, which had been fully restocked and upgraded. It was bigger, shinier, and had more sparkles than before. “YES! The Ultimate Party Cannon!” she squealed, bouncing up and down in excitement. “Now every party will have even more balloons, confetti, streamers, and… OOH! Look at those glitter cannons on the side!” she exclaimed.

Twilight, ever the voice of reason, couldn’t help but laugh. “Not in my house, please,” she said half-jokingly, trying to hide the amusement in her voice.

Pinkie’s face fell, but only slightly. “Okay,” she said, sounding disappointed. “Maybe next time.”

Just then, a familiar voice called out from the doorway. “Hey, sugar cube.”

Everypony turned, startled, and saw Applejack standing in the doorway, a warm smile on her face. She was joined by another figure—her mother, Pear Butter.

“Momma!” Applejack exclaimed, her eyes sparkling as she ran toward her mother. Twilight’s gaze shifted between them, her mind racing.

“Pear Butter?” she asked, unsure if what she was seeing was real.

“You got so big,” Pear Butter said with a soft, proud smile, her eyes welling with emotion as she looked at Applejack.

Tempest Shadow’s voice cut through the tension. “Wait, what? Could she be a changeling?”

“What is a changeling?” Pear Butter asked, looking confused as she glanced at Tempest.

Applejack raised an eyebrow, clearly puzzled. “Hang on,” she said, glancing between her mother and Tempest. “What’s goin’ on here?”

Tempest, still confused, hesitated before responding. “A changeling is… a creature that can disguise itself as somepony else,” she explained, her gaze now focused on Pear Butter. “But… you seem too real to be one.”

Applejack stepped forward, her hooves planted firmly on the ground. “What’s my mother’s nickname?” she asked, her voice firm.

“Buttercup,” Pear Butter replied with a smile. “That’s what your daddy always called me.”
