Daniel Book 3- Life in Ponyville

Ditzy walked up to the tree that Daniel was sleeping in, and called to him, "Daniel!" Daniel rolled out of the tree and landed on the ground in front of Ditzy.

"Yeah, Ditzy?" He asked.

"I'm going to Canterlot, would you like to come with, it could be fun," She said. Daniel shrugged.

"Okay, I don't really have much to do, I was planning on just working at the spa today anyways.

"Really, no complaining, no bickering, no it's to far away?" Ditzy said, disbelievingly.

"Why would I complain about going to Canterlot with you?" Daniel asked.

"It's just, usually when I ask somepony to come with me somewhere, they always say no, giving some complaint or whine." Ditzy said.

"Well I think it could be fun." Daniel replied.

"Well, okay, let's go!" Ditzy said excitedly, pulling Daniel to the train station, once there, she asked for tickets for the next train to Canterlot. Then they sat down on a nearby bench, to wait. It was still before Celestia's sun hadn't been risen yet, and Luna's night time sky was twinkling brightly, but not harshly. "Oh, I can't wait!" Ditzy said, pulling Daniel in for a sideways hug.

"You must really love Canterlot." Daniel observed.

"No, not really, it's fun sure, but it's awfully lonely, unless you have somepony else with you." She replied, gazing into Daniel's eyes.

"Oh, well, I'm glad I could accompany you there." Daniel said with a smirk, and as their faces drew closer, they gazed into each other's eyes, and then--

"ALL ABOOOAAARRRD!" The conductor called, making both their heads snap back, and looked around to see if anypony was staring, luckily, nopony really cared what they were doing.

"We should, you know, get on the train." Daniel said.

"Uh, yeah, right." Ditzy said with an emberassed giggle.

"You know, I don't know anything about you Ditzy, I know your personality and all, but I don't even know your middle name." Daniel said. The train was half way there, they still had about two hours. Ditzy giggled and nodded.

"My complete name, is Diane Ditzeno Doo." Ditzy answered, "My turn, what's your complete name?" Ditzy asked, Daniel nodded.

"My complete name is Daniel Feindoiose Sallite." (Fane- Doy- Ose) Daniel replied. "Okay, what's your favorite color?" Daniel asked.

"Ice Blue, because it reminds me of you." Ditzy said, "What's yours?" Ditzy replied.

"Golden yellow, for the same reason." Daniel replied. "Go ahead and ask the questions yourself." Daniel suggested.

"Okay, what's your favorite food?" Ditzy asked.

"Uh, truthfully, this will gross you out, but chicken with lemon squeezed over it, my mom made it for me the day before the fire." Daniel replied, "what's yours?"

"Blueberry muffins hooves down," Ditzy said with a grin.

"What's one odd custom in your old world that you still practice here?" Ditzy asked.

"Wearing clothing," was Daniel's reply, and Ditzy laughed.

"Okay, if you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?" Ditzy asked.

"Uh, let's see, oh, the need for meat, and the like of the taste of it." Daniel said honestly. "What about you? What would you change?"

"About me, or you?" Daniel shrugged. "With you, I love you just the way you are, but as for me, I wish I could get my eye fixed, I look wierd with it flicking around like it does." Ditzy said with a sigh.

"I actually think it makes you look kind of cute." Daniel replied. Ditzy smiled and blushed slightly. She stood up and changed her spot to be next to him, she snuggled up close and Daniel put his arm around her.

"Thanks for that, even if you're just trying to make me feel better about myself" Ditzy said.

"Hmm? What are you talking about, I'm not just saying that, Ditzy if your eye bugged me, I wouldn't have said it makes you look cute, I would of just shut my trap." Daniel said seriously, Ditzy nodded.

"At least your honest." Ditzy said with a giggle.

"I try."

The train pulled up into Canterlot station, and the doors opened, letting everypony on it get out. Daniel and Ditzy walked out side by side. Daniel got a lot of stares, and a colt came up to Ditzy and asked, "Can I pet your, um, pet?"

"She doesn't own a pet as far as I'm aware." Daniel replied, and the colt jumped back in shock.

"Whoa! That's so cool, what are you?" The colt asked.

"What do you mean, aren't I a pony?" Daniel asked playfully.

"No, of course not!" The colt laughed, and his mother came up.

"I'm a human being. I'm the only one in Equestria." Daniel said, as the mother pulled him away. Daniel heard her muttering about not going near strange things like that. Daniel rolled his eyes, smiling. 'They'll learn,' he thought to himself. They continued off the platform and towards their hotel. It was only a block away, near the castle. As they walked, the whole street stared at Daniel. They walked in, and went to the front desk.

"We would like to check in, I made a reservation, it should be under, Diane Doo." Ditzy said to the mare, who looked up and then at Daniel.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but we do not allow pets in the building." The tan unicorn mare replied, Daniel leaned over the desk, and looked her in the eyes, and a grin grew on his face.

"I'll make sure to tell that to the next person with a pet." Daniel said, making the mare shrink down.

"O-oh, my apologies sir, I didn't know--"

"It's fine, but we would like the keys to our room please." Daniel cut her off.

"Oh, but of course sir." The mare said with a worried grin on her face, Daniel just laughed whole heartedly and grabbed them, handing one to Ditzy, who took it. They went to their room to spend the night.

I really actually liked how this chapter came out for a change, the next few chapters will be of Daniel's stay in Canterlot, as the mane six and Cadence/ Shining Armor are busy fighting king Sombra. King Sombra may or may not become an enemy of Daniel's. I haven't decided yet, anyways, give me that feedback, and for every favorite, I would like to receive a thumbs up, believe it or not, they keep me writing about Daniel.
