Daniel Book 3- Life in Ponyville

"Daniel..." A voice said, the voice came after a harsh whispering echo of itself. Daniel's eyes opened, and he found himself once again falling into a darkness.

"Yes?" Daniel asked, unafraid.

"I am here to warn you..." The harsh voice said, it sounded like it was directly next to him, and far away at the same time.

"About what? I know you are not Faust, and unless you are my dark form of myself, I don't know who you are." Daniel said.

"You may call me Friend. I am here to warn you about an enemy..." Friend replied.

"Well, Friend, what is this enemy that something powerful enough to join my dreams needs to warn me about?" Daniel asked.

"A horrid creature, known as the Newborn is rising..."

"What are the Newborn?"

"Nobody knows, the history behind them is unknown, but a new hero has appeared in Equestria, one that cannot stay. This is the first sign, his name is Alexander..." Friend said, as an image of a human boy, a couple years younger than Daniel was eating an apple, while staring oddly at the talking earthpony and unicorn.

"Another human? But, wow, okay, so what threat do they pose." Daniel said, simply excepting the fact that another human had gotten into Equestria.

"The Newborn pose the threat to all creatures of Equestria, they feast on the good emotions, leaving nothing but a hollow shell of a pony. The shell is known as a Changling, a drone of the Newborn..." Friend said, somehow more dark than its voice was before.

"Changling? Ditzy told me about those, they feast on love. Nearly took over Canterlot, and Equestria." Daniel said. "So these things turn things into Changlings, alright, how do I kill them?" Daniel asked.

"you have a sword, you can use that..." Friend replied. 'Oh duh.' Daniel thought.

"When will the Newborn arrive?" Daniel asked, quickly realizing that the darkness was fading away to conciousness.

"Nobody knows, but soon. Beware Great Fifth, you are in danger..." And with that oh so happy note, Daniel woke up, and found himself being stared at by Ditzy.

"Daniel, are you alright?" Ditzy asked.

"Uh, yeah, at least for a while, new threat, no idea how, when, or where. Some new mystic being who calls itself Friend, or maybe it really was just a dream this time." Daniel said, getting up, and finding himself back in Ponyville, and in Ditzy's bed.

"Oh, uh alright. Come on, we have to get prepared, and find the right ponies to help, here's a list of ponies and things you are going to need for the wedding." Ditzy said, and Daniel simply chuckled and took it.

"Best man, Feather barer, four or more groomstalions, one fucking hell of a bachelor party- (optional), and a tuxedo." Daniel read out loud. "Holy cow, better get started." Daniel said, and Ditzy nodded.

"I guess so, the wedding is in one month." Ditzy said, and grabbed her own list, and trotted out.

"I'm not going to be getting any time for anything except this wedding, ah well, worth it." Daniel said to himself, then walked out the door himself.
