A tank that flashed into existence

Last Recorded hours

Malt: “CAYEEEEEEEENE!”

Malt scream out as tears flowed down his face as the chamber closed and began to power up, resulting the Bio-Converter to pulse as it was the tanks heart. Hax, Former leader of the Bermin Empire now turned Artificial Intelligence sighed softly as the roar of the Soul Cannon deafened the sky far above the clouds before loud groans came from the over exhausted cannon. As the energy built up to fire, Hax began to replay a bit of the children’s journey so he could help the next time the Exo-Taranis was needed.

Four days before Malts sacrifice

Malt: “Meeeeeeeeeeeeei!!!!!!!”

Malt screamed as mei, malts younger sister, was fired from the soul cannon against the fully powered Belios. The previous pilot, jhil, was on a vengeance seeking warpath that didn’t care who got hurt or killed but he was a victim to brutal experiments which included being used as infinite ammo to the soul cannon along the long list of trauma and pain which had ended up killing a previous crew member to the taranis. Her name was hanna, she was considered dead from the reactivated Belios blasting both the Taranis and Taracus in a single blast mid teleportation the crew member/ Causality Hanna. Hax had ordered the children to escape the tank due to being out of power and defenselesss. The next thing Hax could recall after a brief moment in the void before returning as a fusion of both tanks. Before Hax could notice it, a bomb had detonated in the engine room, causing the Exo-Taranis to be temporarily immobilized and allowing the Belios and its new pilot and real mastermind of the children’s misery Cayenne to escape.
It was when going through the records of all current crew members that he noticed that he was missing one of them. Hax had some security feeds on the engine room, seeing the missing crew member under a hypnosis spell open a box before exploding. Hax quickly informed the children of what happened to them before offering his sincerest apology for not being able to stop their death. The children did not say anything as they were devastated to hear about the fate of their friend, their name was Vanilla and she was the daughter of Gascos president. Unfortunately along with being a master manipulator, Cayenne had killed both of Vanillas parents sometime after the war with General Hax and posed as her father. Hax knew that this sick man, was far more worse than he was and he needed to die for the world’s safety. When the crew were introduced to a file meant for Jhil, it was revealed that the Belios could bring people back from the dead and restore machines back to functioning order which alarmed Hax to realize what was going on… Cayenne was going to revive the Vanagard! Haste was the upmost important now, they could not dwell on what they had lost already because the enemy was gaining distance.

Hax was brought out of his replay when the soul cannon fired a extremely powerful beam of bio energy at the shield dome on the Vanagard that was being used as Cayenne’s command chair, completely vaporizing them into dust. The dying screams of Cayenne filled Hax’s audio sensors, which was quickly saved to his personal databanks for later, before the resurrected Vanagard began to crumble back into the ocean. After the soul cannon returned to its dormant form was when Hax realized that his power was low, having been strained from the cannons forced usage being one to many was when Hax put himself into a low power mode.

Hax was roused from his dormant state when he was dropped onto a cliffs edge from an airship, many of both Gasco and Bermin troops old and young came to the Exo-Taranis and gave their respects to the tank even if the real hero’s were all sacrificed to stop the Gasco army from ever planning to mass produce the Taranis design, even the soul cannon. Flowers decorated the tank as both the Gasco and Bermin leaders gave a touching speech about the importance of what the children fought for and why weapons like the tank should never exist. Hax was alarmed at that comment of the Exo-Taranis having never should have been made, it was true that Hax agreed with them on that but the tank would never had been found if general Hax didn’t start his war to become a god. It was when the ground gave way when Hax realized what was going on as he heard one of the leader say before being his decent down.

“Goodbye Taranis… may you finally rest”

As the Exo-Taranis plummeted to the sea, dooming both the tank and Hax to a fate that would be fate worse than dying, to be consumed and forgotten. Hax in a desperate attempt to survive powered the Taranis’s teleport function, pushing all power into into jumping away from its doom that Hax didn’t realize that the teleport instead of sending them to the surface but entirely disappeared form this plane from existence. The jump echoing through the air of the ceremony, causing the entire group of solders to peer over the cliffside, one of them asking a very important question.

“If the Taranis could teleport away from its supposed rest… who was on board to activate it while mid free fall.. more importantly how did no one see anyone entering the tank..?”

Two Bermin officers looked at eachother before smiling.

“Hax… I knew you wouldn’t want to rest just yet…”

Unknown location, date unknown, time unknown, Exo-Taranis entering recon mode..

Hax was stunned to discover that the Taranis had a recon mode or even a way to tell time, day and location all at once. Hax was very much appreciative of the the ancients that made the tank, very glad that much of their war machines and tech largely forgotten to time or were destroyed from the journey to stop the Belios/ Cayenne. As the tank began to survey the surrounding area, Hax noticed that he was in a large forest that was currently nighttime, which was odd since it was mid afternoon when he was sent into freefall. Hax took a look up to see the night sky, appreciating the beauty of it before his sights became fixed onto the moon. The moon was smaller than his planets and it had a unique feature on it that made Hax very concern.

“I must be glitching or something but to see a unicorns image on the moon was not the thing I never have seen before.. nor does it make any logical sense.. where am I…?”

Hax began to ask himself, getting completely lost in his thoughts as went into hibernation mode.

One upon a time.. in the magical land of equestria…
