The changeling and the protege

A break-in to the library, A surprising familiar acquaintance

A medium sized black mass laid on the wooden floor with glass and green sludge surrounding the mass, with a groan the mass pushed up on their front hooves and got up. Looking around only able to see out of one eye, the mass saw a mirror and got a look at their face. The figure was a changeling with a blue eye and a green eye with something that happened to penetrated the changelings eye. Blinked quickly upon seeing the shard of glass in their eye, they grabbed the shard of glass in their eye before yanking it out causing them to begin screaming as green slime is splattered onto the mirror. The changeling felt dizzy from lack of energy, falling onto the floor and feeling about to pass out while blood drooled from their eye socket when something entered the library. The changeling couldn’t hear who it was but felt that if it was one of his kind then he was truly dead, so with a long sigh the changeling let the void take them.

??: Twilight…? Are you in here….? Did you get home already…? I can whip us up some daisy flowers before I….- AAAAAAGH CHANGELING!!!!!

Ponyville train station, two days after the canterlot invasion/ real wedding

Twilight and her friends including spike had left the train in a mixed mood while the others, save Twilight, left the train cabin in a happy mood for both beating back the invasion and celebrating a real royal wedding. Rainbow spoke up first, with her cocky attitude.

“That wedding was so cool! Well with me there it was 20% cooler with my sonic rainboom going off at the end”

Rarity brought a hoof up to her muzzle, chuckling softly.

“Darling, you must calm yourself before you tire yourself out… those dreadful changelings were absolutely horrendous…”

Applejack looked at Rarity, raising a brow as she started to complain.

“At least those varmints were blasted away… those evil snakes… they tried to make us their walking, talking cattle!”

Applejack said, bringing up her honest opinion on what the changelings would have done to them. Pinkie Pie bounced with her friends, not really having a decent argument nor a good point to bring up however Fluttershy brought up a very crucial question that couldn’t be ignored.

“W… what would’ve happened to… anypony t… that were too old…! W… would they have slaughtered them like they did to the group that we… injured to get the elements..?”

Everypony stopped for a moment, spike hadn’t been noticed by them so he chose to stay silent and let them explain what they were talking about. Spike wondered about why a changeling that had dual colored eyes, which he heard be called Fang, was with his friends and promptly blasted out a window by Chrysalis. Before Fluttershy continued, she saw spike and felt her heart clench in horror that he would ask her to explain what she meant so she gently looked down at spike before speaking softly.

“Spike um c.. can you please wait at the library… y.. you can’t hear about this t.. till you’re older…”

Spike responded with a hint of annoyance in his voice, he was being babied again even if he was a a year younger than them. Spike was at his mid eighteen years old and was quite old enough to hear what they were talking about the group of changelings she mentioned.

“I’m not a kid Fluttershy, I’m eighteen years old already..!”

Spike said as a hoof from an orange colored mare gently placed itself on his head and began to rub softly.

“Listen sugarcube, this won’t be a pretty subject for your ears… ah don’t want you to be traumatized by this information..”

Applejack spoke before her hoof was removed by spike, who was frustrated at being treated like a kid, before raising his voice.

“So watching Chrysalis blast this Fang out a window wasn’t traumatizing..?”

Applejack stubbornly looked away, not wanting to hear the fact that Fang was murdered by his queen while had apologized for his kinds invasion. Unfortunately, the airhead, Rainbow dash began to speak in her usual brash manner.

“They killed their own without hesitation… infront of our eyes… I’m far too awesome to be affected by that…”

Spike eyes widened, hearing that the other changeling killed their weak, while Fluttershy couldn’t handle it and ran off crying.

“Fluttershy! Wait don’t go alone..!”

Dash said before flying towards Fluttershy, both being quickly out of earshot. Spike was first to speak up after hearing the news.

“Applejack… is it true… did they kill their own….?”

Applejack looked away from the situation, her stubbornness giving spike his answer. Spike felt himself get sick before he turned away and bolted home. Pinkie pie, Rarity and Applejack looked at eachother before promptly giving each other a goodbye and going to their homes. Twilight however left the group earlier and had gone to the ponyville lake to drown out her sadness, it was the first time that a book will not be able to comfort her.

While twilight stared into the lake she began to recall everything about Fang and what he said..

“Let me die with some semblance of pride…”

“I apologize for my kinds invasion”

Fang was strong even after being beaten by both his kind and her friends including her. Twilight didn’t understand why she came to his defense, but felt it was the right thing to do, even if he was still a danger. The look on Fangs face as she and her friends approached him still lingers in her mind, a changeling terrified of her as she like she was a predator. Twilight looked up quickly, feeling her heart beating quickly as she felt powerful and in charge of Fang. Twilight’s face grew red as her mind became much more dirtier than possible, thinking of binding Fang to her lab table his with legs spread as she… Twilight screamed in embarrassment before shaking her head, she didn’t understand why she felt such weird and perverted thoughts. She tried to recall the yearly cycle of estrus, only to gulp as her week is coming in seven days. Twilight began to mentally make a list of what she’ll do once she got home before sighing softly, this week was going to be a nightmare and thank you Celestia spike is too young to consider a possible… another yell of anger came from her, she was far more along than she thought and needed a cold shower once she got… Twilights thoughts died mid way through as she saw spike running away terrified.

“Spike what’s wrong!?”

Twilight called out as she rushed up to the baby dragon, hugging tightly as spike started to whimper loudly. Twilight softly spoke up in a concerned manner.

“Spike whats the matter..?”

Spike spoke up quickly, still completely terrified.

“C… c…. CHANGELING in the library!!!!”

Twilight eyes widen as she let go of Spike and galloped towards the library in a panic, bursting through the door, quickly looking around the room. Unable to see the changeling, Twilight ran up stars seeing a large green puddle on the rug and a changeling by her bed. Twilight eyes widened, seeing glass in its chitin and how shredded their wings are. Shaking her head, she growled before saying threatened the threat. The changeling turned to face her, causing Twilight to gasp from how damaged the changelings condition was. The changeling coughed a bit blood before speaking weakly.

“Hello…. Twilight…”

The changeling fell onto the floor, going unconscious right after causing Twilight to call out in concern.

“FAAAAAAAANG!”

Ponyville hospital

Twilight had carried in Fang to the hospital reception, feeling absolutely worried that somepony that had just been recently killed to being alive in her house. Upon getting Fang inside the hospital staff took him into the and got him onto a gurney, taking him to surgery and leaving twilight to herself. While Twilight was waiting, she was hoping that Fang would make it and that the doctors are impartial to changelings. Twilight messes with her hooves as Rarity entered the hospital waiting room speaking with concern.

“Twilight are you ok darling!? Spikey wikey said that a changeling was in your library and when I didn’t see you in the home a… and saw all that vile blood on your carpet i immediately went to the hospital looking for you while spikey goes to get the others… a.. are you ok Twilight..?”

Twilight was so lost in thought that the next question that Rarity asked brought her out of her daze.

“So Twilight do you have a special somepony to spend the time with after..”

Twilight looked up shouting in fear, causing Rarity to blush madly.

“F.. Fang..!?”

Rarity held her mouth in shock, feeling completely uneasy about her choice in stallion.

“I… forget what I asked..”

“Rarity wait I didn’t mean to say… that..”

Rarity quickly left the hospital before hearing Twilights response as the others of her friends walked in, making everypony nervous. Fluttershy was the first to ask, feeling slightly confident at the moment then getting much more shyer.

“Twilight are you here for somepony… I… if you want to tell us..”

Applejack walked up to Twilight, gently touching her before pulling away.

“What in tarnation!? Twi! Your cold as ice…!”

Rainbow, Pinkie and Fluttershy all gently touched you before reading back as well. Twilight nodded and gave an amused smile before responding.

“It’s nothing…”

Twilight lied as she didn’t feel comfortable telling them why she was here, Fang is too injured to deal with her friends. Applejacks eye brow rose to give a knowing look to Twilight before speaking up.

“Twi, I know that’s a lie you know keeping it..-“

“Ms Sparkle… your doctor is ready”

A male nurse said, causing Twilight to stand up and quickly and move to the nurse.

“This way..”

The male nurse lead Twilight to an empty office, entering with her before shutting the door. Before Twilight could ask any questions about green fire consumed the nurse, and revealed a changeling that pinned her to the wall.

“Listen here you pompous bitch..! My brother is in huge pain because of you ponies and I may not show any love to him.. I do care so be warned… if my brother gets hurt anymore… I’ll kill all of ponyville and your brother!”

Twilight grunted in pain as the changeling held her to the wall, the changeling seemed to care for her brother to a degree. Before anything else happens, the changeling let her go and sneered. Backing up, the changeling huffed before speaking.

“This is your only warning, oh and I’m Venus if you’re wondering..”

Venus said, taking the form of Redheart before leaving twilight stared at the door, rubbing her neck before exclaiming.

“W… What the fuck..?”

However Rainbow didn’t want to wait for an answer and promptly followed the two before watching them enter an office, looking around and seeing she was alone she placed her ear against the door. Her hunch was correct and made Rainbow furious enough to ask a nurse at the desk about a new arrival. Lying to her about being her lover before getting their room number. Trotting to the door, Rainbow growled as she was ready to begin.

Fang groaned softly, waking him up as the bright light on his face made him wince and try and cover his face with his right hoof, only to find it cuffed to the hospital railing and a royal guard beside his bed. The guard looked over at Fang before sneering at him, still sore over the attempted coup but it was understandable. The door was soon opened, revealing Rainbow Dash with an angry look on her face before shouting.

“VENUS IS YOUR SISTER!?!? IM GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS TILL YOUR NOTHING BUT GOO BY THE TIME IM DONE!”
