Searching for Monks

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

The following day, the monks were sitting at a table having breakfast.

“Hoo wee! These is sum mighty bacon an eggs!” Clay said as he ate.

“So what’s the plan today?” Kimiko asked Raimundo as she took a bite of her pancakes. She was wearing different clothes than she had yesterday. She wore a white T-shirt with blue capris jeans and a brown blazer with rolled up sleeves.

“We're gonna keep searching for the Genie Moo,” Raimundo explained.

Omi ate some eggs as he turned to Dojo, “Still no clue on finding it?”

“Sorry, kid, but I got nothing,” Dojo said as he ate some bacon. “I can sense the Genie Moo's here but can't get a proper reading. Like something is blocking the signal.”

“Then we'll keep searching,” Raimundo declared.

“But we should be on the lookout for Jack Spicer,” Omi pointed out.

“Along with those turtles and girls,” Kimiko pointed out.

“Let's hope we don't run into them,” Clay said.

Down at Time’s Square, Leo and Mikey, in their holo-disguises, were walking out in the open.

“Good thing we have our holo-disguise watches on us,” Mikey said as they walked.

“Yeah, it is,” Leo agreed. He got out his T-phone and said, “All right, everyone. Remember, we’re searching for those Monks. Once you see them, do not engage; keep a tale on them until the rest of us arrive.”

April and Karai were in their civilian clothing, walking along the streets.

“No monks around here,” April said.

“Obviously,” Karai said dryly.

April got out her T-phone and made some calls, “Anything?”

Carter was riding his motorcycle through the Bronx with Angel riding on the back.

“So far, nothing,” Carter reported.

“You'd think a group like theirs would stick out like a sore thumb,” Angel pointed out.

Casey was passing Yankee Stadium.

“Nothing on my end, red,” Casey said. “Although they’d have to be crazy not to see the Yankee Stadium while in town.”

Gabby and Shini wandered around Harlem searching.

“Negativo on our end,” Gabby said as she and Shini kept walking.

"These Akumas are hard to find," Shini pointed out.

Keno was riding the pizza scooter to deliver a pizza.

“No sign of any Monks,” Keno said as he approached the door with the pizza box. He then rang the doorbell, and a middle-aged man opened.

“Enjoy, mister,” Keno said to the customer.

“Don't tell me what to do, brat!” The man slammed the door on Keno.

Keno had a scowl on his face, “Rude.”

Zach, Catlyn and Buffy were in Queens, passing some shopping districts.

“Nothing here,” Zach pointed out. Caitlyn was recording everything on her phone when she noticed Buffy looking through shop windows.

Caitlyn saw Buffy as she dragged her away, “Buffy, try to focus.”

“Right, sorry,” Buffy said.

“Betcha Rarity's gonna get distracted by shopping as well,” Zach theorised.

Applejack's voice spoke through the phone, “Nope, not fashion...

“...she's distracted by a mani-pedi.”

Applejack was dragging Rarity away from a salon.

“Sorry, but the salon's having discounts on mani-pedis, and I just saw the cutest shade of purple,” Rarity explained.

Applejack just gave her a look.

Rainbow Dash, Sunset Shimmer and Pinkie Pie were walking through the streets.

“Nothing on our end,” Sunset said.

Pinkie Pie was popping out of different places, “No Monks here,” … “Or here,” … “Or here,” … “Or here.” Pinkie then turned over a little stone. “Nope, no monks.”

“I doubt they’re hiding underneath that stone, Pinkie,” Rainbow said.

Twilight and Fluttershy were walking around. Fluttershy was talking to a pigeon on her fingers.

“Mr Pigeon says ‘he hasn't spotted them either’,” Fluttershy translated the pigeon.

“Yeah, nothing here,” Twilight informed.

Hana, Pervis and Max were searching as well.

“Nothing here,” Hana informed them.

Max then noticed something in a store window.

“Guys, it's a new addition of Wingnut and Screwloose!” Max said in excitement.

“For real?!” Pervis said, also excited.

“Guys, focus!” Hana informed the boys.

“Right,” Pervis realised.

“Sorry,” Max apologised.

Raph and Donnie, in their Holo-disguises, were walking around.

“Nothing either,” Donnie informed them as well.

Raph then growled, “This is stupid; we're never gonna find four young monks in a city this big!”

Leo and Mikey made it to one of the rooftops as they de-cloaked.

“There is no sign of them either,” Leo informed them. And calm down, Raph; we must find them!”

Mikey then noticed something on the streets, “Uh, Leo.”

Leo ignored him, “It's important that we do find them....”

Mikey spoke a little louder, “Leo.”

Leo continued speaking, “And when we do...”

Mikey had enough, “LEO!”

“What is it, Mikey!?” Mikey turned Leo's head to face the monks, who hadn't noticed them. “Oh.”

The monks were looking around Bleeker Street.

“Dojo, anything?” Raimundo asked the dragon on Clay's shoulder.

“I still got nothing,” Dojo said in disappointment.

“Ya sure the Genie Moo is even in the city, little buddy?” Clay asked.

“I'm telling you guys, it's here, in this City. I just don't know where,” Dojo admitted.

Kimiko was holding a little bronze monocle with a red eye and an eyebrow over her eye.

“Falcon's Eye!” Kimiko looked through it as she looked around. “No sign of the Wu.” She then saw something that made her recoil. “Ugh, that's so wrong.”

“What?” Omi asked.

Kimiko deadpanned, “You don't want to know.” She took the Wu off and held it. What they didn't know was that a small creature was watching them.

Raimundo informed them, “Guys, I know this is becoming the hardest Wu search we've done, but we still need to find it.”

Omi said, “Maybe we should inform Master Fung about our lack of accomplishment.”

“You have a good point, Omi,” Raimundo agreed. “We can't have Master Fung wondering...”

Raimundo was interrupted when a small creature approached them: a Mouser.

“What in tarnation is that?” Clay wondered.

“Could be one of Jack’s robots,” Omi said as he took a stance.

The Mouser approached and grabbed the Falcon's Eye from Kimiko's hand, and ran off.

“Hey!” The monks gave chase.

“No doubt one of that side-winder, Spicer's bots,” Clay suggested, knowing their arch-enemy.

“But this seems different from what he normally makes,” Kimiko said, knowing about Jack's robots, like the back of her hand.

From above, Leo and Mikey spotted the monks, and he also spotted the monks chasing the Mouser bot.

“Everyone, I spotted the Monks. And they're chasing a Mouser bot!”

“Stockman,” Twilight said from the phone.

“Are they working with him?” Raph asked.

“I don't think so. It looks like the Mouser stole something of theirs,” Mikey pointed out.

“We're following them; rendezvous to our position,” Leo ordered as he and Mikey followed from above.

The monks chased the Mouser towards an abandoned warehouse.

“There it goes!” Clay said.

“Be careful, guys, we could be walking into a trap,” Raimundo pointed out.

The monks entered the warehouse where they lost the Mouser.

“We lost it,” Omi said.

“That thing’s slippery as an eel covered in oil,” Clay said.

“Ew,” Kimiko responded to what Clay just said.

“Guys, be on alert,” Raimundo reminded his teammates.

“Yeah, I don't think we're alone,” Dojo said in fear while on Clay's head.

The Monks stood in stance, ready for whatever would come.

“Maybe there's nothing?” Omi asked.

“Ooh, that would be a relief!”

Pinkie Pie appeared in the middle of the Monks, surprising them.

“How in tarnation!?” Clay asked in surprise.

“Say, you're one of the girls from yesterday,” Kimiko realised.

“Yep, that's me. I'm Pinkie Pie. Nice to meet you!” Pinkie said as she shook Kimiko's hand very fast.

“Uh, nice to meet you as well,” Kimiko awkwardly said while Pinkie shook her hand.

Just then, the Ninjas dropped down near the Monks.

“You guys again,” Raimundo said as he and the others got into a fighting position, but the ninjas held their arms in surrender.

“We don't want to fight; we just want to talk,” Leo told them.

“That's funny, after the beating I got from you girls,” Omi said, not trusting them, which ticked them off.

Rainbow approached, “Well, if you hadn't said those things about girls...” Sunset stopped her.

“Alright, Rainbow, let's all calm down.” Sunset turned to the monks. “I promise, we're not your enemy here.”

The monks were hesitant, but April put her hand on her head.

Donnie noticed, “April?”

April removed her hand and looked worried, “They’re all around us.”

Just then, the lights turned on, and it was revealed that Jackbots and Stockman-bots surrounded them.

“Hey there, Xiaolin Losers!”

Everyone looked to see Jack Spicer standing on top of a ledge.

“Who's the redhead?” Angel asked.

“And what's with that awful dark outfit?” Rarity asked, her fashionista side showing.

“Jack Spicer!” Omi said as the Monks saw him.

“That's right! Along with some giant turtles and a few cuties.” The girls groaned at that. “And it's not just me. Let me introduce you to my new partner in crime.”

Out came Baxter Stockman.

“Bender Stacksman?” Rainbow said as they saw her.

“It’s Baxter Stockman! Why can't people get it right!” Stockman said in anger before calming down. “Greetings, Turtles and Rainbooms, and others.”

“What's your angle this time, Stockman!?” Raph demanded.

“Me, not much. Just helping an internet pal,” Stockman stated.

“Internet pal?” Casey asked.

“We shared some online tips. And now, we're going to take you losers down! Hahaha!” Jack cackled.

“This guy’s a loon,” Rainbow whispered.

“All right, Jack Spicer, spoon over the Genie Moo!” Omi commanded.

The ninjas were confused by what he just said.

“I think you mean Fork over the Genie Moo,” Raimundo corrected him.

“Oh,” the ninjas realised.

“Can't do that, cheese ball, because I haven't found it. But even if I did find the Wu, no way I'm giving it to you,” Jack boasted.

“I say we finish them right now,” Stockman declared as the robots moved forward.

The ninjas and monks were surrounded. Leo told the monks, “Look, I know our first impression wasn't great, but right now, I think we should work together to get out of here.”

The monks looked around and knew the turtle was right. Raimundo answered, “Okay then, we’ll work together."

Leo then turned to everyone as the Robots looked ready to fight.
