Chapter 013: Who do you serve?

Tapper would lunge towards the soft-spoken knight and kick her hands off of her blade.

Once again, she would use her wings to blow him off, but this time he evaded the scorching winds and grabbed her at the back. He began chocking her while she began to burn up and release her purple flames.

Cross saw this and began assisting Tapper. "Hold on, brother!"

"What do you think I'm doing?... aargh!"

The nameless knight would begin casting ice magic, freezing her body and helping Tapper cool off in the process.

Treasure then grabbed a ball made of hemlock and rammed it into her mouth, which exploded, fully knocking her out.

Drop went the raged pegasi. Everyone sighed in relief and caught their breath before she woke up again, and who knows what she'll do again?

Tapper began pouring a potion on Quilt's wounds. but Cross would just end up healing him quicker and wasting the potion he just used.

"Thanks, Cross," was Quilt's reply.

Tapper could only roll his eyes in frustration and let it be. "ANYWAY, what was in that bomb that knocked the leader out?" Tapper asked, curious at the contraption Treasure made.

"T'was a Hemlock Bomb, the good one."

"I guess everyone here is full of surprises," the healer added.

"Now what do we do with her?" Mapper asked. No one can answer.

" Then I say we kill her," is Quilt's solution.

"We can't just kill her!" the nameless knight protested.

"Watch me."

But she'd block his way and be stubborn about it.

"You know she's going to kill us when she wakes up, right?"

"The lower ranked are bound to follow their superiors and shall not harm them as commanded, so declared Princess Midnight Sparkle."

Everyone grew silent as she spat those words out of her mouth. Cross's expression of worry could not be painted.

"Come again?" Treasure asked.

"I mean, no disrespect, but she is our superior."

"No, not that. What princess do you serve?" he asked once more as he closed in on her.

Cross would see the fear in her eyes, which made him move to save her. He blocked Treasure's movement going forward.

"You heard her."

"Yes, I did."

"You know what must be done, correct?"

"Yes, but let me handle this."

Treasure would back away and let Cross handle this situation.

He took his blade out and pointed it at the nameless knight.

"The princess has broken her promise and fallen from harmony; now we must fulfill our promise and kill thy princess if she ever falls from grace, as Twilight Sparkle commands. Which princess do you serve?"

"T-The princess has not fallen! She had to! To save Equestria!" She bravely replied.

" If that's true, then why is the world a mess, hmm?" Treasure pointed out.

" Perhaps!... Perhaps that's why she called us! Why would the princess resurrect us?"

Quilt would get in their way.

" Halt! We need not bloodshed; we need answers. This revelation brought more questions and confusion, and killing each other won't give us the answer, perhaps regret."

Quilt continues,

" First of all, our resurrection by the princess is more of an assumption and is crumbling already. If the mare says true and our princess has turned to night, why call us who gave promise to kill her?"

" Perhaps it is so; she wished to be killed," Treasure replied.

" Then why call her as well?" She pointed at the nameless knight. Which she nods in agreement.

" Aaahhh! Shit!" He lied down on the ground, confused and lost. Apple would go to his lord's side and pat his head to help ease his worry.

" And you? Who do you serve?" he asked Apple.

" Well... I serve Fate."

" Is she the white mare in the church?"

" No, the white mare is a deity of Fate." Apple replied.

This just made Treasure even more confused.

" I shouldn't have asked, I SHOULDN'T HAVE asked..." He sighed.

Apple continuously pats his head, hoping it will relieve his stress.

" Fate?... What of Midnight Sparkle? Have you heard of her before?" Quilt asked.

" No, I do not know her." She bowed once more.

" Is that so..."

Even more questions were brought up.

Meanwhile, Tapper had lost interest halfway through, while Cross and the nameless knight were having a hard time catching up.

"So our quest is already over? No one knows about Midnight Sparkle; perhaps another force of evil has gone and made a mess of this world. We might be irrelevant at this point." Tapper ranted.

" So what now?" The nameless knight asked.

Everyone pondered.

_________

They decided to rest for today and set up camp. They decided to tie up their leader, and hopefully they can talk to her properly.

Everyone was gathered at the fire pit they made and was waiting for the night to pass.

"Hey. Is it alright if I sit beside you?" She asked.

Cross would look at her and scooch a bit for her to sit by his side.

" Thanks."

It was silent.

"Cross," she'd be interrupted by Cross and say aloud. "Bluebell..."

She blushed and looked at her, confused.

" Excuse me?"

" Bluebell, don't you like it? For your name."

She leaped at his hooves and once more assaulted him with kisses and touches.

" Mare! Behave oneself, less you sully the name I gave you!?"

" Please sully me!" The mare has gone wild.

Apple could only blush and cover her eyes. While the rest would scold and hold down Bluebell.

" Please help me!" Cross screamed.

" Hey! Get a room!" Treasure yelled, while Tapper was biting his bagcloth with jealousy and envy.

" Can't a mare get some peace and quiet when she sleeps!" Their leader bursts out of her rope, burning with fury.

She then trips and kneels on one knee.

This gave them time to get ready and prepare for the worst.

Treasure then pointed his blade at the leader.

" We have spared you, for what we say to you is of utmost importance."

She spat at the ground where they stood.

" You should've killed me, you traitorous bastards."

" Okay, I had enough of this." Treasure threw one of his bombs and scattered a powder of yellow substance on her.

" Cough, cough! What matter of witchcraft are you up to-hihi....what hihihi.... What did you do to-hihihihihi ouch! Hihihihihi...."

She began laughing uncontrollably.

"Listen or die laughing," Treasure asked.

"Damn, that looks painful," Tapper added.

" Stop!! Hihhihihi, it hurts! Hehehehe, im not used to laughing! Haaaahahaha!" The laugh was so ugly and unnatural that it began to creep them out.

" Maybe we should..." Bluebell said with a disgusted look.

" Err. We can't; just give in to our demands already!" Treasure begged her to do so.

" Never!!! Blblblrrrgrgrghhh..." Her mouth foamed.

Author's Note

Please remember that she is soft-spoken... Hence her laugh is quite meek and silent. So her laugh is quite weird and awful.
Just imagine her laughing without air. Yup that kind of painful laugh.
Its more like an Ah, ah ah ah than a hahaha

Also when shes angry and shouting, keep that in mind as well that she is soft-spoken.
