Chapter 014: A deal
"Your laugh is so ugly, it ruins the mood."
" What're you doing?"
" Can you not laugh?"
" This filly is having a seizure!"
" You should be thrown in the factory."
" Sweetie, I think it's best that you just smile."
There, a little Filly stands alone in the dark, holding her smile as she listens to the voices echoing through the void.
______
The soft-spoken knight wakes up to a day where the sun blinds her.
She tried moving, but her hooves were shackled and her abs and stomach were cramping.
" Ouch... Uugh, what happened?" she mumbled as she woke up.
She tried sitting up, and she saw her fellow knight standing there, looking at her.
" You ready to listen and talk this out?" Treasure asked.
She then remembers.
" You, SICK, BASTARD! Resorting to torture to get your way... despicable!"
This ticked off Quilt.
" You gave us no choice! Remember! You stabbed me!"
" It was a logical action; it was inevitable."
"... Treasure, give me that bomb of yours," Quilt requested, and was tossed one.
The knight sees this and recalls the horror of that yellow bomb.
She'd involuntarily tried to move away. "Y-you wouldn't? Y-you monsters! Not only that, you revealed your name! You have forsaken your promise!"
" Not this again... I'm Quilt, this is Tapper, Treasure—" " sup," "— Cross, Bluebell, and Apple."
" Blasphemy!!" The shock and disgust can be seen in her face.
This ticked off Quilt even more. He placed the bomb on the ground and approached her.
" You wanna go at me! You sava—AHAHAHAHAHA STOP!"
Quilt began to tickle her, and her memories from the past surged back.
She began to cry and was able to hold her laugh by biting her lips down, to the point where it began bleeding.
" I said... stop." Her body temperature begins to rise.
Treasure prepares his Hemlock bombs, while Quilt stops his torture.
"Now, leader, we don't want bloodshed; please listen to us," Bluebell begged as she cast a cooling mist spell to cool her off.
" You also use ice magic? Has the academia not thought you to master only one? What a waste of potential."
"Well, she lives in a timeline where that rule doesn't apply to ours; also, it was decreed by Princess Midnight Sparkle," Quilt added.
Bluebell and Cross began sweating bullets as Quilt gave the big reveal, while Tapper and Treasure looked at each other and prepared for the worst.
"C-come again?" Her soft-spoken tone mixed with infuriation and disbelief.
" you ready to listen?"
_______
"Lord Gallus..." Smolder pointed at a charred-down village.
" They started without me," Gallus smirked.
They landed at what was known as Appleoosa and were greeted by creatures engulfed in purple flames.
His army would easily slay these creatures without casualties.
" Is this it? How disappointing." The pegasi sighed.
" Of course not; this is merely what has remained," Ocellus replied.
" Hmm, this flame is unusual..." Smolder began sniffing the ashes.
" Gallus, last night, the stars were not aligned for us, and this stench is quite different... It actually resembles... Her."
" The stars never favored us, Smolder; when has it ever stopped us?"
" Lord Gallus, heed Lady Smolder's warning. She has never led us astray. Don't make me regret joining you," Ocellus warned Gallus, as his anger might cloud his judgment.
" Then what would be our action? Wait for the stars?" Gallus glared at his weapons.
" I will wait for the stars; you lot can go ahead if you wish to search aimlessly." Smolder then meditated at the corner.
" I shall wait with her." Ocellus then vanished.
" Tsk, the rest of you go search for any signs of survivors or those knights!" Gallus commanded.
The rest of his army would spread out and search while they waited for Smolder's signs from the stars.
______
" Then... what is our purpose?" The soft-spoken knight asked.
"That's the problem. We don't know," Quilt replied.
" But we made a promise: to serve the princess and her people. If we could not serve her, then we would serve her people," Treasure answered.
" That I can agree with too; what do you think, Bluebell?" Cross asked.
" That'd be a yes, silly." She snuggled.
"I suppose I'll tag along," Tapper pondered.
" I'd want to know more about this world," Quilt answered.
"Well, we can work together with our goals! This way it won't be lonely and hard!" Treasure says, excited for their next adventure, while Apple applauds her master.
" How about you, leader? Come with us. Let's learn the truth together and continue serving everyone in Equestria," Bluebell asked the leader with open hooves.
She'd look at her in the eye with soft puppy eyes while their leader would glare at her menacingly.
" With one condition," she asked.
Everyone looked at each other.
" It won't hurt to hear her out," Tapper suggested.
" Shoot!" Bluebell replied.
" Save him... Help me save him. Save my love..." She bowed down to them and begged as her tears flowed down.
Everyone grew silent and began to make a decision.
" Then a condition on our side as well."
" Name it!" She took it with no hesitation.
" What's your name?" Bluebell asked.
By then, Treasure would remove the shackles to her hooves, and Tapper would give her some potion while blocking Cross from using his heal.
Bluebell would give her a helping hoof to help her stand up, but he would lightly tap it away.
" We save him first, then I'll give you not only my name but two others as well."
Blue Bell would pout for a second and would just have to agree on that.
" Fine. Then shall we?"
" Sure, I'll lead the way."
She'd walk towards Quilt and give a punch to his stomach, enough to make him kneel.
"W-wh-,whyyyyhhhhhhh..." He gasped in pain.
" You were very punchable."
Tapper and Treasure began to give her distance as she neared them.
"Quickly, I don't know how much time he has left."
