Equestria Girls: Adventures in Dragon Land (Season 1)

It was another great day. Canterlot High has closed for the day and the Rainbooms, Diamond Tiara, the CMCs and Spike were talking about what to give to their new dragon friends as a present in a group online chat.

“What are you all making?” Diamond Tiara asked from the chat feed of her dragon-ified room.

“We’re drawing a picture of Cassie, so it’ll show her how much we love her. Ain’t that right, sugarcube?” Applejack asked her sister.

“Aw, you bet! She’s definitely gonna love it!” Apple Bloom replied, adored by the drawing.

“What about you, Rarity? What are you making for our new friends?” Applejack wondered.

“Oh, darling. Sweetie Belle and I are making a really neat bow that we’ll give to Cassie.” Rarity answered, excited to go back to Dragon Land obviously.

“Yeah! She's definitely gonna want to keep it!” Sweetie Belle spoke, excited to go back to Dragon Land obviously.

“I’m thinking of giving a book about animals to Ord. I had the book for a long time. Now I don’t really need it anymore.” Fluttershy spoke, showing the book to the camera.

“Well, Spike, Sunset and I are making magic harmonicas to give to Zak and Wheezie, because they love music.” Sci-Twi commented.

“As for me, I’m giving Zak and Wheezie this party horn. They’re definitely gonna looove it!” Pinkie Pie said, making a Wheezie impression.

“Oh, those are great ideas! What about you, Rainbow and Scoot?” Diamond asked.

“Well, Scootaloo and I are making a rainbow-colored baseball bat for Ord. I think that he likes sports, but we don’t know for sure.” Rainbow Dash said.

“We’ll see, Rainbow. We’ll see.” Scootaloo replied.

“Well, I'm making a necklace I constructed out of diamonds from my collection and giving it to Cassie. I have to get back to work. Keep up the good work, you guys!” Diamond said, ending the chat.

Sometime later, the gifts are all set and everyone is ready to go back to Dragon Land.

Everyone opens their closets and grabs the box to get their dragon scales out. “I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with dragons, in a land apart.” They all said in unison as the dragons on their walls fly off and swirl around them all and off they went!

Sometime later, they rematerialized at a playground at the School in the Sky, exactly where Ord, Cassie, Zak and Wheezie are waiting for them.

“Hey!” Cassie exclaimed, happy to see that their human friends are back.

“Fluttershy! Sunset!” Ord exclaimed.

“They’re all here!” Wheezie said loudly, annoying Zak in the process.

“Yeah. I can see that. You don’t have to yell.” Zak said, obviously annoyed by his sister’s loud voice. Ord then comes up and hugs them all in a tight hug.

“Uh, Ord? You’re squishing us.” said Sunset in agony.

“Oops! Sorry.” Ord said, sheepishly as he puts them all down.

“Here, Cassie. My sis and I drew this for you.” Applejack offered as she gave the drawing she and Apple Bloom made to their pink friend. Of course, she loves it.

“It's a picture of me. Oh, thank you. I really, really like it.” Cassie replied.

“Oh, don’t forget about us, darling!” Rarity pointed out as she and Sweetie Belle gave her the bow they made to her. Cassie puts it on and looks at Rarity and Sweetie Belle. “Well, what do you think?” Sweetie Belle asked.

“Wait! Before you answer, I have something for you, Cassie.” Diamond Tiara said as she gave the diamond necklace to her.

“Oh, they look pretty! They match with my new bow!” Cassie replied, feeling a little more happier.

“These harmonicas are for you two. I made them with the help of Sci-Twi and Spike.” Sunset offers as she gives them to Zak and Wheezie. Zak blows softly on his, but Wheezie blows hard and loudly on hers, much to Zak's annoyance. Wheezie enjoys it of course.

“Looove it!” Wheezie yells out, giggling.

“What about me?” Pinkie Pie steps in, giving the party horn to the 2-headed dragon. Wheezie blows on it and giggles, showing that she definitely loves it!

“Scootaloo and I made this baseball bat just for you, Ord.” Rainbow offered as they gave the bat to their big, blue friend.

“Wow! It’s like a rainbow!” Ord exclaimed, swinging before he fell. He, of course, made a small crater and was laughing.

“That’s because it is colored like a rainbow! I even added some super speed attributes to it!” Rainbow pointed out, giggling.

It was then the bell rings and Quetzal came out the door.

“Ah, bienvenidos, everyone.” Quetzal greeted, seeing that the Rainbooms, Spike, the CMCs and Diamond Tiara had returned.

“Hola, Quetzal.” Spike greeted back while everyone waved before they all came into the School in the Sky, as Quetzal was about to announce Ord’s special assignment.

“Now niños, today is a big big day for our friend Ord. Today, Ord's special job is to find a magical star seed. Deep in the Forest of Darkness, there lives a star tree. Ord, I would like you to bring back one star seed from this tree.” Quetzal explained.

“You betcha!” Ord said, accepting the offer, but he doesn’t know where in the Forest of Darkness the star tree is. Luckily, Cassie knew where to find it.

“I think so. Is it just past Half Moon Rock?” Cassie guessed.

“Eight paces to be exact. Very good, Cassie. Here is what Half Moon Rock looks like.” Quetzal explained as he sprinkled his dragon magic on the page which has the illustration of Half Moon Rock pop up.

“Is the forest... uh... you know... safe?” Ord asked, concerned that the forest might be dangerous.

“Sí, Ord, very safe.” Quetzal answered, making Ord better.

“Can I bring my friends to help?” Ord asked, wondering if they could help.

“Of course. That's what friends are for.” Quetzal answered.

Sometime later, the Rainbooms, Spike, the CMCs and Diamond Tiara and the dragons fly off to the Forest of Darkness. Sci-Twi, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy ponied-up and Spike has dragon-up so they can fly themselves alongside them.

“How much farther, Cassie?” asked Ord.

“We're really really close. The Forest of Darkness is just past the Dragoon Lagoon.” Cassie answered as they flew past Dragoon Lagoon. It wasn’t long until they made it to their destination. “Look, there it is, the Forest of Darkness.”

“Thank goodness. We’re finally here.” Apple Bloom sighed in relief as they all land and are about to enter the forest of darkness. Sci-Twi, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Spike go back to their normal selves and are ready to enter.

“What are we waiting for, yall? Let's go.” Applejack encouraged. It wasn’t long until they noticed that Ord wasn't coming with them.

“Wait a minute. Wait a minute! Nobody told me it was going to be dark there!” Ord exclaimed in realization.

“Why do you think they call it the forest of darkness?” Rainbow Dash replied, clearly annoyed by Ord’s dilemma.

“But it's really really dark! There might be monsters in there! Big, huge, hairy, scary monsters!” Ord exclaimed, clearly scared. Fluttershy tries to comfort him, but he turns invisible.

“Ord, wait! Where are you going?” the CMCs asked in unison.

“Oh, great. I had to hang out with the most cowardly creature I have ever encountered in my life.” Diamond replied in annoyance.

“Diamond, Be nice!” Rarity said, scolding Diamond for her reply. Instantly, Diamond stopped and has calmed down.

“Come on. Let's find him.” Rainbow Dash encouraged.

“In case you haven't noticed, Ord can turn invisible when he's scared. We'll never find him, never ever, not in a gazillion years!” Zak pointed out, being a worrywart that he is.

“Oh, sure we can. Where do you think that's coming from?” Sunset points out, seeing a trail of tears. They can see that Ord is crying, despite him being invisible.

Eventually, after they followed the tear trail, they found him.

“Ord, please stop crying. Tell us what's wrong.” Fluttershy said, comforting their crying friend.

“Please, Ord?” Pinkie Pie asked in worry. Just like that, Ord turned visible again.

“I can't get the star seed because I'm scared of the dark.” Ord explained, sadly.

“The dark's not scary.” Sci-Twi said, trying to cheer him up.

“Yes, it is. Monsters live in the dark.” Ord replied, still feeling sad.

“Ord, there's definitely no monsters in the dark.” Fluttershy promised. “I used to be afraid of the dark when I was little. Since I was 11, I started getting used to the dark and I knew there were no monsters whatsoever.”

“She’s right. You just have to tell yourself you can do it even if you are afraid.” Sunset encouraged. Ord starts telling himself the same thing.

“I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.” It wasn’t long until he heard an owl hoot and that’s what snapped him out of his trance. “Nope I can't. I wish I wasn't such a scaredy dragon.” It wasn’t long until Wheezie came up with an idea.

“I have an idea. Let's play a song. Music helps me forget when I'm afraid.” Wheezie points out.

“Ooh, I love that idea, Wheezie. We can make a parade and march into the forest.” agreed Pinkie Pie, happy with the idea.

“A parade? Love it. Left, right, left, right. Zaky, feel the beat, move your feet.” Wheezie laughed, marching along.

“Okay, okay, but we play nice and easy.” Zak requested as he got annoyed and wanted Ord to feel braver and more comfortable.

“I say we play fast and wild, baby!” Wheezie requested back. Obviously, Zak is the calm and neat-freak one, while Wheezie is the ditz and hyper/loud one.

“I think everyone should play nice and easy. We don’t want Ord to get scared easily.” Apple Bloom points out.

“How about I hold your hand. That way, I can make you more at ease.” Fluttershy offered as she held out her hand.

“Good idea.” Ord exclaimed, accepting the idea. He and Fluttershy held hands as everyone marched into the forest of darkness.

“This is so dark and scary, but I'm going to do it. I'm going to find the star seed.” Ord said to himself, trying to gain confidence.

“See, no monsters here.” Fluttershy said.

“Yeah. This parade is fun. I'm feeling a little better.” Ord replied, slowly feeling better.

“Sunset, wait. I think we left someone behind.” Wheezie said.

“Rainbooms, CMCs, Spike, Diamond Tiara, Ord, Zak, Wheezie, Cassie, me. We're all here.” Sunset replied, having taken attendance.

“Then, who's that?” Wheezie asked as a pair of big eyes and no more of a figure was shown in the darkness.

“Monster! Hide!” Ord yelled in fright as he scurried into a hollow log.

“It's not a monster, it's just a huge pair of eyes coming closer and closer. I'll just pop in there and make sure you're okay. It'll never find us here.” Fluttershy said.

“Uh, excuse me, many pardons, are you lost? Because if you're lost, I can help you.” Forest Bird said.

“You have big eyes.” Pinkie exclaimed, laughing.

“Oh yes. Quite big. Large, really. So, which is it? Lost or not lost?" Forest Bird said, surprised by the size of the beings he’s seeing.

“We're definitely not lost. We're just taking a very, very long time to find Half Moon Rock.” Fluttershy replied.

“Half Moon Rock, you say? Oh, delightful. You're right on course. Just straight ahead between those trees.” Forest Bird said.

“Thank you.” Fluttershy said.

“My pleasure. Love to be of service. Toodle-oo!” Forest Bird said while leaving.

“See Ord, no monsters.” Fluttershy said.

“Nice bird.” Sunset replied.

“Ah sure wish we could have a bird like that, sis.” Apple Bloom commented.

“You can only dream, sugarcube. You can only dream.” Applejack replied as everyone marched between the two trees the forest bird was talking about.

“Are we there yet?” asked Ord, wanting to find the tree already.

“Do you see Half Moon Rock?” replied Sweetie Belle.

“No.” Ord answered.

“Then we aren't there yet.” Diamond said, clearly getting impatient.

“Boy, oh boy. I wish this was the forest of light. Hey, that's it! We need light.” Ord said scared.

“That's a great idea, Ord.” Fluttershy said.

“We do have our fire breath.” Cassie said.

“Yes yes, fire breath! That'll make a huge light!” Ord agreed, feeling so much better already.

“You know, I can do that too!” said Spike as he shoots out fire breath with his mouth. Zak also used his fire breath for extra light.

“It's bright. Much better!” Ord said, feeling confident again.

“Just like a flashlight.” Sci-Twi said.

“You did it Zak. Now lead the way." Apple Bloom praised.

“Thank you, Zak. The light makes me feel better.” Ord said, relieved.

After a fire breath-guided hike, Eventually, they finally reach Half Moon Rock.

“Do you think this is Half Moon Rock?” Ord asked.

“It looks just like the picture in Quetzal's book.” Cassie answered.

“Yup, we’re almost there.” said Applejack.

“Quetzal said to take eight steps beyond Half Moon Rock to find a star tree. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven…” Suddenly, he bumps into a tree trunk. “...eight. It doesn't look like a star tree. Where are all the star seeds?” Ord asked

“We came all this way and there's not even one star seed on that tree. Thanks a lot, Quetzal. You tricked us!” Diamond complained.

“Wait! You know you can't see a star in the daylight. It needs to be dark.” Cassie explained.

“I guess there are some happy things you can only see in the dark, like the stars. Maybe... maybe it needs to be dark to see the star seed.” He realizes as he takes Fluttershy's hand. “Go ahead, Zak. Turn out the light.” Ord commanded.

“Are you sure?" Wheezie questioned.

“With all of you with me, I'm not scared much." Ord said as Zak deactivates his fire breath and stars appear on the tree.

“Oooh, it really is a star tree. Sparkly!” Pinkie exclaimed in pure happiness, taking in the brightness. Suddenly, Ord’s pendant is glowing.

“Look! My dragon badge is shining!” Ord replied in joy.

“What's a dragon badge?" asked Sci-Twi.

"All dragons wear them." Ord explained.

“They shine when you do something really really hard, like Ord did just now." Cassie continued.

“Kind of like a test of doing hard challenges and goals!” Sunset exclaimed, amazed.

“I came all the way through the forest of darkness, even though I'm scared of the dark.” Ord said.

“I knew you could do it, Ord!” Scootaloo replied, proud of Ord’s accomplishment.

“Now to get a star seed.” Ord said to himself as he flew up to the big tree to pick and grab a glowing star seed.

Back at the School in the Sky, Ord explained how the adventure went. “It was really dark and I was scared, but I kept trying. All my friends were with me and then we made a parade. Then we shone a light, and you know what? The dark didn't seem so scary anymore.”

“Bueno, Ord. You should be very proud!” Quetzal said happily as Ord gave him the seed. Quetzal notices that the star is trying to say something. “What? Do you have a surprise for Ord?” Quetzal asked before he handed the star back to Ord. “It seems so, but you'll have to wait until tonight when it's dark.” Quetzal explained.

“For me?” Ord asked, feeling surprised.

“I also have a surprise for your friends, too!” Quetzal said, giving the Rainbooms, Spike, the CMCs and Diamond Tiara their own Dragon Badges.

1. Sci-Twi’s dragon badge is a pink star held with a purple ribbon.

• Spike's collar has been upgraded to a golden jewel-studded ribbon with a green flame medallion.

  1. Sunset Shimmer’s dragon badge is an orange sun with yellow and red flares held with a red ribbon.
  2. Rainbow Dash’s dragon badge is a red lightning bolt held with a blue ribbon.
  3. Fluttershy’s dragon badge is a pink butterfly held with a yellow ribbon.
  4. Pinkie Pie’s dragon badge is a blue balloon held with a pink ribbon.
  5. Applejack’s dragon badge is a red apple held with an orange ribbon.
  6. Rarity’s dragon badge is a purple diamond held with a white ribbon.
  7. The CMCs’ dragon badges are the same: A color-coded triangle with their separate symbols for each of them.

• Apple Bloom's dragon badge is a yellow triangle with a red apple held with an orange ribbon.

• Sweetie Belle's dragon badge is a light pink triangle with a purple music note held with a white ribbon.

• Scootaloo's dragon badge is a red triangle with an orange lightning bolt (the bolt outlined in black) held with a blue ribbon.

  1. Diamond Tiara’s dragon badge is a tiny pocket-sized tiara held with a yellow ribbon.

Everyone was excited for their very own badges and they each put their own on. They all loved their new accessory.

“Whenever you reach your goals or accomplish something, your badges will glow, too!” Quetzal explained.

“Thank you, Quetzal. You sure are wise indeed. I wish I never doubted you.” Diamond said, already regretting what she said about him in the forest.

“That’s okay, Diamond. Everybody learns new things every day, even making new friends in life.” Quetzal explained, forgiving Diamond as he patted her head.

“Your surprise will have to wait until tonight when It’s dark out.” Quetzal continued.

“D-d-dark?” Ord stammered.

“It’s okay, Ord. Remember what you learned today: just face whatever’s in your way, no matter what. There are no monsters. Next time we come back, let us know what your surprise was.” Fluttershy requested.

“Who said you're going to miss Ord's surprise, eh? Esta noche, look out your window.” Quetzal said, hinting that they’re also going to see Ord’s surprise, even though they’re back in their world.

“Tonight? Of course! Thanks, Quetzal. Ready to go, girls? Fluttershy asked.

“I wish, I wish, to use this rhyme, to go back home, until next time.” the Rainbooms, Spike, the CMCs and Diamond said in unison as they went back home.

Later that night, it is time for Ord to discover his special surprise. The surprise is that he has his own star in the sky now!

“I have my own star.” Ord said as Cassie, Zak, Wheezie and Quetzal watched and were feeling happy for him.

Back in Canterlot City, the Rainbooms, Spike, the CMCs and Diamond Tiara have set up an online video chat with the star shining in the main camera. Everyone was immersed by the star and they were feeling proud of their big friend. They wish they could have that experience themselves just one time.

“Look! I bet that's Ord's surprise.” Sci-Twi said.

“It is!” Spike realized.

“Wow. His own star.” Sunset said.

“It looks so pretty! I think I’m starting to get inspiration for my new fashion line and you can help me with that, Sweetie Belle!” Rarity exclaimed, with her sister nodding in agreement.

“Sparkly!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

“It sure is sparkly indeed, Pinkie.” fluttershy agreed.

“Well, I’ll be darned! Ain’t that the most magical thing I’ve ever seen!” Applejack exclaimed in wonder.

“Don’t forget about me, sugarcube!” Apple Bloom replied.

“I just wish I also had a star like that.” Diamond Tiara, Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash said in unison.

“Jinx! You owe me a soda!” Rainbow Dash replied as everyone laughed in amusement and excitement when suddenly, everyone’s badges started glowing.

“Look at us! We’re glowing!” Pinkie Pie shouted in laughter, happy with what she and her friends were feeling.

“You’re right. We are all glowing, just like Ord today! I guess we discovered our goals as well: forming a friendship that will last till the end of time beyond new worlds!” Sunset explained as the chat ended with everyone exclaiming in agreement.
