Cassie Loves a Parade (featuring Applejack, Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle)

It was another normal day here in Canterlot City. Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle were at Applejack’s place and were having some drinks.

“So, what’ll be guys?” Applejack questioned.

“I hear you make the best apple ciders in town.” Fluttershy said.

“I agree with Fluttershy, you really do.” Sweetie replied.

“You betcha’ y’all.” Applejack said. “So, what’ll be? fizzy apple cider or non-fizzy apple cider?” she questioned.

“I’ll take the non-fizzy” Fluttershy said.

“Fizzy will do.” Sweetie said.

“Okay.” Applejack said.

Then she gave them a glass, one fizzy apple cider and one non-fizzy apple cider.

“Hey.” Fluttershy said.

“What?” Applejack said.

“I said non-fizzy, this is fizzy.” Fluttershy said.

“That’s my order.” Sweetie said.

Suddenly, there was something flashing in Applejack’s room. They knew what that meant: their dragon friends are calling them.

“Look.” Applejack said.

“The dragons are calling us.” Fluttershy said.

They went into Applejack’s room, put on their dragon badges, held a dragon scale together and said the magical phrase; “I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with dragons, in a land apart.” They all said in unison as the dragons on Applejack's wall fly off, swirl around them all and off they went!

In Dragon Land, Cassie’s friends were waiting for Cassie to come out. Cassie appeared with a bow on her head, ready for a special event that was happening in the School in the Sky.

“Do I look okay?” asked Cassie. “Today is such a big day.”

“Wow! Love that bow, Cassie. It’s so bow-utiful.” replied Wheezie in joy.

Suddenly, the 3 girls start to re-materialize after being transported to Dragon Land.

“Hi, everybody. What's going on?” Fluttershy said.

The dragons said in unison; “The School in the Sky parade!”

“Whoa… now that sounds like fun.” Fluttershy said.

“Fun? It's gonna be wild, with balloons and floats and–” said Wheezie.

“-And flowers and music and–” continued Zak.

“Guess what else. Cassie might get picked to ride on the book float.” Ord continued.

“You will?” Applejack said.

“Oh, I hope, I hope, I hope.” Cassie said in joy.

Ord said, “Quetzal's gonna pick the names of the winners right now.”

“Oh, let's go.” Cassie said in excitement.

And so, they hoped on their backs and started to fly into the School in The Sky. Everyone was really excited because the winner was gonna ride on the parade float. When they arrived at the building, all of the dragons were working on the floats.

“Wow. This parade’s gonna be humongous.” Sweetie said in excitement.

“Big, too.” said Ord.

Suddenly, the other dragons were working on their floats, until they spotted a float that resembled a book.

“There it is. The Book Float.” said Cassie. “Isn't it the best float you've ever, ever seen?”

“I agree, Cassie. Besides, you're gonna look great riding on top of it, Cassie.” Fluttershy said.

Quetzal appeared, and was holding a black hat and said, “Gather round, niños. It is time to pick the names of the dragons… ...who will ride on this year's book float.”

Zak chuckled and said, “Good luck, Cassie.”

“We’re rooting for you.” said Fluttershy. “Come on, everybody. Cross something.”

Some of them crossed their fingers while some did not cross their fingers. They crossed their heads and their bodies instead.

“Uh, Fluttershy, why am I crossing?” asked Ord

“To bring Cassie good luck.” Fluttershy replied.

Cassie giggles and said, “Thanks everyone.”

Quetzal announced the winners… by pulling out the hat and said… “...and the lucky dragons are…. Luna and Sparkle. Congratulations.”

The dragons, Luna and Sparkle were very happy. They hugged each other because they get to be in the float.

Everyone watched in shock, and they were speechless.

“Looks like Cassie didn’t get picked.” Sweetie said.

“It figures.” Applejack said.

“I didn’t get picked.” Cassie said sadly, while shedding a tear. Suddenly, she starts to shrink when she feels so sad, and repeats what she said; “I didn’t get picked!” Suddenly she starts to fly away in tears… Like Ord who feels sad or scared, becomes invisible, Cassie has the ability to shrink when feeling emotional. For Zak and Wheezie, well, it’s unknown…

“Cassie, come back.” Wheezie said.

“We thought isn’t the only one who has an emotional ability. Ord's ability is that when he gets scared or sad, he becomes invisible.” Sweetie Belle said. “But Cassie, she can get small when she gets really emotional.” she continued.

“Yeah.” We’d better find her.” Fluttershy said.

In the forest, a small Cassie was still crying and complaining while flying.

“I really, really wanted to ride on that float. It's not fair. It's just not fair.” Cassie said sadly. Suddenly, she bumped into a tree, then on a spider web, then on a flower.

“I just hate today.” Cassie said, sad and angry.

Suddenly, she heard a voice crying… it was the flower.

“I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?” Cassie apologized

“No.” the flower said, sniffling.

“Then why are you crying?” Cassie said.

The flower said while crying, “Because I didn't get picked to be in the School in the Sky parade.” Then, he sobbed.

Cassie groaned, “Me neither.”

The flower stops crying and said, "All my friends were picked for a special float, except for me, and now I feel... I feel—”

“Terrible…” continued Cassie.

“Awful!” continued the flower.

“Sad…” continued Cassie

“Left out.” they both said, sobbing.

Suddenly, they stopped crying.

“My name’s Cosmo.” The flower introduced himself. “What’s yours?” he continued.

“I'm Cassie.” Cassie introduced herself. “Thanks.”

“For what?” asked Cosmo.

“For making me feel a little better.” Cassie said. Suddenly, she goes back to her normal size.

Cosmo looked shocked. “Whoa! You're big.”

"Sometimes, I get little when I feel really bad about something. Like not getting picked for the parade." Cassie explained.

"Oh, don't remind me!" Cosmo said as he starts to cry again. Everything's about to get better when Cosmo blows his nose, which makes a really funny noise. Cassie instantly giggles.

"You wanna hear that again?" Cosmo asked if he could make his silly noise again and Cassie replied with an "Uh-huh.". Cosmo blows his nose again, makes that silly noise and they both laugh and feeling better for their dilemma. "You try it." Cosmo suggested to Cassie.

However, she was nervous and was worried that she would look too silly. "Oh, I couldn't."

"Sure, you could." Cosmo encouraged. With that, Cassie reaches into her pouch for a blue towel and blows her nose. They both laugh and are already getting along.

Meanwhile, Sweetie Belle is riding on Zak and Wheezie alongside Applejack riding on Ord, while Fluttershy has ponied up and is flying with them as they are searching for Cassie.

"I can't believe we haven't found Cassie yet!" Sweetie Belle said, worried about what happened to her.

"Don't worry, sugarcube. We'll find her." Applejack replied, just when they heard noises of noses blowing. They all realize that it's Cassie.

"Wait a minute, I hear her." Zak exclaimed, relieved.

"You do? I don't. Wheezie said, confused and being a ditz as usual. With that, Zak wipes her ear with an orange towel.

"How about now?" Zak asked, clearly annoyed by her sister's antics.

"Hey. Down there in the forest." Wheezie yells out in relief. "Thanks, Zaky."

"Let's go." Fluttershy said, with them landing to where they found Cassie. "There you are, Cassie."

"We've been looking all over for you." Sweetie Belle said worriedly.

"You were? I thought you'd all be at the parade." Cassie asked.

"Without you? It wouldn't be any fun." Applejack replied, also relieved that Cassie's okay. Everyone then sees a moving, talking flower beside her.

"Uh, what's that?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"Everyone, this is Cosmo." Cassie says, introducing everyone to her flower friend.

"How do you do?" Cosmo said, politely introducing himself.

"Wow, a talking flower." Fluttershy exclaimed, adored by the flower's charm.

"I talk. I wave. I blow kisses. I was made for a parade, except..." Cosmo continued.

"We weren't picked." Cassie and Cosmo pointed out in unison.

"Hey, there's always next year, sugarcubes." Applejack said, comforting Cosmo.

"But that's a whole year away." Cassie confirmed.

"Four whole seasons." agreed Cosmo.

"Wait a minute. Who said you have to wait a whole year? Why don't we just make our own float?" Sweetie Belle suggested.

"Yeah. We could make a beach float. I'll go swimming." agreed Ord, pulling out a beach ball and beach umbrella from his pouch.

"It just wouldn't be the same as the book float." Cassie denies the beach float idea.

"How about a storybook float?" Fluttershy suggested.

"A storybook float?" Cassie asked.

"Yeah. I saw one on TV during a Thanksgiving Day parade one time." Sweetie Belle agreed.

"Ah remember! You pick your favorite story, and you act it out on top of a float." Applejack describes her idea.

"Yeah, like Daring Do hunting for a lost treasure." remembered Sweetie Belle.

"I don't know." Cassie said nervously

"Come on, Cassie. It wouldn't hurt to try. What's your favorite story?" Applejack said, enough to encourage Cassie to make the float. It's just then Cassie pulls out one of her storybooks from her pouch and gets an idea.

"Well, I kind of like The Dragon Princess." Cassie reads, just when Ord grabs a flower headpiece from his pouch and has Cassie put it on, thus making her the Dragon Princess (for her float that is).

"Oh, my. We're going to be in a parade, ha, ha. I better get ready. Hello world, here I come." Cosmo exclaimed as he got ready to be part of a parade.

With that, everyone is working on the float. Sweetie Belle and Fluttershy just made finishing touches of the castle. Applejack, Zak and Wheezie were painting the float. Sweetie Belle was goofing off until she knocked over a paint can and all the paint splattered all over Applejack.

“Sorry, Applejack.” Sweetie Belle said, sheepishly.

Cassie was reading her storybook for more ideas on the float while Cosmo, now in a flowerpot, is practicing his wave for the parade.

“What are you doing, Cosmo?” asked Cassie, wondering what Cosmo’s up to.

“Working on my wave for the parade.” Cosmo replied, still practicing his rehearsals.

“Which do you like better? Bubbly (Hi, hi, everybody, heh-heh-heh.) or elegant (How do you do)?

It didn’t take too long for Cassie to decide. “Uh... Bubbly.” It was just when Fluttershy went to check on her and Cosmo.

“Do we need anything else, Cassie?” Fluttershy asked.

“It looks pretty good, but in my storybook, the princess lived near a mountain.” answered Cassie, asking for one final touch of the float

One mountain, coming up. Come on, Zaky.” Wheezie replied as she and Zak flew off to pick up a small pointy boulder and place it on the float. They couldn’t quite decide where to put it, until they dropped it right by the castle. Thankfully, the float didn’t break and everything is all set.

“There needs to be a magic tree growing near the mountain.”

“I can help you there, sugarcube.” Applejack said as she found some twigs with leaves, pulled them off and waved them.

Wow. It's fantastic. All we need now is a flower for the princess to hold, and I pick you, Cosmo.” Cassie exclaims as she picks up.

“Me? I got picked. I got picked.” Cosmo exclaimed, clearly excited about his role in the parade.

“Is the princess ready?” Ord asked, since the float’s all set and ready.

“I'm ready.” Cassie replies as Sweetie Belle climbs on her back and they fly to the float. Cassie places Cosmo on the windowsill of the castle part of the float. “You know, this is gonna be just as much fun as the book float.”

“No kidding, sister.” Cosmo replied as he uses his breath freshener to truly look handsome.

“All aboard!” Wheezie calls out.

“Ready?” Ord asked, eager to pull the float.

“Ready.” everyone said in unison, wanting their own parade to start. Ord begins to pull the rope to move the float with everyone there doing their part, laughing and cheering along the way. Cosmo starts blowing kisses, taking in the popularity that he thinks he’s getting.

“Oh, I just love a parade!”

“Me, too.” Cassie agreed. Suddenly, Ord missteps on a large hill and the float begins to roll fast. They were all holding on for their lives. Some of them seemed to enjoy the ride while others were feeling scared of what would happen if the float rolled too fast.

“Uh… How are we gonna stop this thing?” Ord asked, suddenly feeling too nervous

“Easy. You can fly us out of here.” Fluttershy suggested.

“Oh, yeah.” Ord said, laughing sheepishly. He flies and the float flies with him.

“Now we're a float that floats!” Sweetie Belle exclaims, clearly taking in the thrills and loving every single second of it. Eventually, they land at the parade area of the School in the Sky, where Quetzal was waiting for them. Cassie was still holding Cosmo in his pot.

“Niños, I wondered where you went. Look at this beautiful float.” he said, impressed with the float Cassie and the gang made.

“We had our own parade.” Ord replied, clearly proud of what he and his friends did.

“I was worried about you, Cassie. You were sad this morning.” Quetzal continued, obviously concerned about what made Cassie sad.

Cassie spoke up, “Yeah. I was sad because I didn't get picked for the book float. But then--” Cosmo suddenly speaks up.

“She met me.” Cosmo continued, with Cassie giggling.

“I ended up having fun anyway.” Cassie continued, clearly happy about her parade float and the adventure she and the gang had on it.

“You know, if you hurry, you can still find a place at the end of the School in the Sky parade.” Quetzal requested, making Cassie and Cosmo even more happy.

“Really?” Cassie asked, looking at the open spot of Luna and Sparkle’s float.

“Let’s do it!” Applejack exclaimed.

“Have fun, niños.” Quetzal said as everyone else got ready for more parade fun.

After the parade, it was time to go home. “I wish, I wish, to use this rhyme, to go back home, until next time.” Applejack, Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle said in unison as they went back home.

Instantly, they teleport back to Applejack’s place.

"Hey, I never did get my non-fizzy apple cider." Fluttershy complains. Luckily, Applejack has something better for her.

"What's that?" Sweetie Belle asked.

"A triple-decker apple pie with some chocolate chips, frosting and a cherry on top, plus some milk on the side." Applejack announced as she brought out her decked-out plate.

"Wow! You sure are a great chef, Applejack!" Fluttershy cheered.

"I should come here more often!" Sweetie Belle continued.

"Aw, shucks!" Applejack replied as she chuckled.
