Lights, Camera, Dragons! (featuring Rarity and Diamond Tiara)

It was a normal day here in Canterlot City and Diamond Tiara had a problem: she wanted to go see a sci-fi movie, but it's rated R! She just walks off in disappointment because of that.

“Ugh! It’s rated “R” and I’m not even old enough!” Diamond said angrily.

Suddenly she gets a call from Rarity and Rarity asks her what's wrong. She explains her situation and Rarity feels understandable by it.

Rarity offers to have Diamond come over to her house so she can think of ways to make up for Diamond not seeing an R-rated movie. Rarity gets an idea: Diamond can make a video diary of herself so she can reflect on her problems. Diamond likes the idea, and Rarity gives her a camera. Suddenly, Rarity's closet is glowing, and she grabs her dragon badge & her scale.

Diamond grabs her badge from her pocket and puts it on too. They recited the magic phrase: “I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with dragons, in a land apart.” They all said in unison as the dragons on Rarity’s walls flew off, swirled around them all and off they went!

In Dragon Land, Ord was laughing playfully until Rarity and Diamond were re-materialized.

“Huh? Diamond. Rarity.” said Ord. “Meet my new friend.”

“Uh, where?” Diamond said, looking confused.

“Here.” Ord said as he shows a pink mouse eating cheddar cheese. “I named him Cheddar, because he loves cheese.”

“Wow… he’s adorable…” Rarity said, squealing.

“He's cute.” Diamond said.

“A dragon mouse. I have an idea for a video.” Rarity said, snatching her camera from Diamond.

“Hey, I needed that!” Diamond complained as Rarity started filming the mouse. "What are you doing?!"

“Well, darling. It’s my camera. We’ll get to your video diary later.” Rarity explained.

“But…” Diamond said as she tried to explain, but Rarity was busy filming her recently thought-of movie and asked Ord for something for her movie.

“Come on, Ord. Say something into the camera.” Rarity ordered.

“You want me to say something? Right now?” Ord asked. “I… I don't know what to say.” he stuttered.

“Well, then do something.” ordered Rarity.

“I don't know what to do.” Ord said, scared.

Suddenly, Cheddar starts smelling something good, something that is SO tasty and delicious, that he ran off and chased that tasty smell!

“Cheddar. Where are you going?” Ord complained as he saw his mouse friend running away from the smell.

“Perfect. Now I can call my video ‘The Great Dragon Mouse Mystery’ and you can be the star, Ord.” Rarity exclaimed

“Yeah?” asked Ord, confused.

“Lights, camera, action.” Rarity ordered.

“Yeah!” cheered Ord, as he became confused. “What does that mean?”

“It means, let's go find that dragon mouse.” Rarity said.

“Okay.” said Ord triumphantly.

So, the Great Dragon Mouse Mystery was on. They went off to find Cheddar, where he was at Zak and Wheezie’s knuckerhole. He jumped on the thing, looking for the source of the smell as Rarity, Diamond and Ord arrived.

“I saw him going to that knuckerhole.” said Ord.

Suddenly, the earth shook when Zak and Wheezie popped out of the knuckerhole, flying up and landing down on the ground hard.

“Love it!” Wheezie said her favorite catchphrase. "What's that?” she asked.

“It's my video camera.” Rarity explained. “I'm taping you right now.”

“Ooh. I just love being in videos. They’re so…” Wheezie said, as she made funny sounds on the camera.

“Wheezie, you're making us look silly.” Zak said, embarrassed, then he looked at the camera. “Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad. It's me, Zak.”

“Hey, did you two see Cheddar?” asked Ord.

“Who cares about cheese, Ord? You're interrupting my scene.” said Zak.

“I'm not talking about cheese. I'm looking for my dragon mouse, Cheddar.” explained Ord. “He ran into that knuckerhole.”

“So, that's who scared Zak.” Wheezie said.

“He zipped right under our feet. Nearly tripped me.” Zak said.

“Oh, I'll never find him here.” Ord complained.

“Wait! I know just what this video needs: a detective.” Rarity said.

“I wanna be a detective! I always want to be a star. Please?” Diamond begged. Suddenly, Cassie appears and wonders what’s going on with her friends lately.

“What's all the excitement?” asked Cassie.

“I'm looking for my dragon mouse.” Ord explained

“I'm making a video about it called ‘The Great Dragon Mouse Mystery.’” Rarity explained.

“Rarity needs a detective for the video and–” Diamond said until Rarity interrupted her.

“You'd be perfect for the part, Cassie.” Rarity said, interrupting Diamond’s conversation.

“What, how?! How come she gets to be a detective!” Diamond exclaimed, feeling left out.

“Wh-- What do I have to do?” asked Cassie.

“Can I borrow some costume stuff from you, Ord?” Rarity asked.

“I guess.” Ord said, reluctantly as he opened his pouch while Rarity grabbed a detective’s magnifying glass and a Sherlock Holmes-style hat.

“This is perfect.” Rarity said as she grabs the magnifying glass and puts the hat on Cassie’s head.

“Now, just start looking for the dragon mouse while I tape you.” Rarity said, as she was getting ready to film her project.

As for Diamond, well, she was getting impatient, it felt like she was betrayed.

“It's not fair!” Diamond complained as she walked away.

“Diamond? Wait.” Rarity exclaimed as she walked towards her friend who is sitting on a rock, looking very disgusted and feeling left out.

“What's wrong?” she asked.

“I’m very disappointed. I can’t make my video diary and now I can’t be part of your movie! What is wrong with you?!” Diamond complained angrily.

“We’ll get to your video diary later, darling. Right now, I'm in the middle of my movie.” Rarity replies as Diamond scoffed in disgust.

“Can you at least help with my movie?” Rarity asked.

“Ugh, what do you want me to do? Stay off camera and do nothing?” Diamond asked.

“You can make sound effects.” Rarity said.

“Sure. I’ll finally be credited for my part of your work for sure!” Diamond said, glad that she's going to be part of Rarity's movie for a change.

Several moments later, everyone was ready for the filming for Rarity's mystery movie.

“Alright, Cassie, you lead the others in search for the dragon mouse.” Rarity said while Cassie did as she was told and looked at her magnifying glass to search for Cheddar.

“What kind of sound do you want me to make, Rarity?” asked Diamond.

“Shh.” shushed Rarity. “Right now, they're looking silently, so don't make any noise.”

“OK.” said Diamond, silently before she realized that she was tasked with doing nothing for Rarity’s movie. “Wait, what?! I’ll never be a star like that!! I want to be on camera for once!” She asked, scuffing in anger.

Just as everyone was working hard to film the whole film together, the same smell from earlier happened again and boy it smelled good. It made Ord feel hungry and Cheddar appeared!

“Look. There goes Cheddar.” Ord said.

“Great. Follow him.” Rarity said.

“Whoa, wait for me.” whispered Diamond, following them as she doesn’t want to be alone anymore.

Everyone chased the mouse and the smell, which led directly to the School in the Sky, where Quetzal is making a sandwich. It wasn’t long until Cheddar showed up and scampered onto the table.

“Hola, ratón. ¿Cómo estás? Hungry, eh?” Quetzal asked as Cheddar hopped onto the table.

“Cheddar!” Ord exclaimed, off-screen.

“No. It’s tuna fish.” Quetzal replied, obviously not understanding the situation.

“No, no, no. Cheddar’s the name of the mouse.” Wheezie answered, giggling.

“He's Ord’s pet, but he ran away.” Zak continued as the mouse took Quetzal’s sandwich and scampered off.

“Caramba. Now he's run away with my sandwich!” Quetzal shouted as Cheddar went through the door holding Quetzal's sandwich.

“Perfect! Now, Detective Cassie can find Ord's mouse and Quetzal's sandwich. My movie’s going to be fabulous. First, we need some dramatic dragon music.” Rarity exclaimed.

“If I can't be in your movie, can I help you provide the music?” Diamond asked.

“Sorry, darling. My movie needs real dragon music. Besides, you are already assigned to make sound effects. Remember?” Rarity replied.

“But…” Diamond complained, but Zak and Wheezie interrupted her.

“We can make real dragon music. Can’t we, Wheezie?” Zak asked.

“Of course. We're dragons!’ Wheezie giggled as she grabbed a trumpet and Zak grabbed a flute. They started playing away!

Rarity and the gang leave the school so she can continue making her movie. Except for Diamond and Quetzal. Diamond has had enough of working on Rarity’s movie, since she has been feeling left out and nobody is listening to her.

“Forget it. You’re on your own, fashionista wannabe! I’m done helping you!” Diamond Tiara yelled as Quetzal comforted the tween.

“Calm down, Diamond. How do you like to help me make another sandwich, Diamond?” Quetzal asked.

“Okay, as long as It doesn’t involve that dweeb, Rarity.” Diamond answered, still annoyed.

Okay then. I hope you have a big appetite, because we’re going to make one monster of a sandwich!” Quetzal exclaimed as he brought out the ingredients he and Diamond were going to use.

Meanwhile, Rarity and the dragons are flying through Dragon Land looking for the mouse while Zak and Wheezie are making the music, and Rarity is riding on Cassie as she continues recording.

“The great dragon detective flew over Dragon Land in search of the little dragon mouse.” Rarity narrated as Cassie looked down, trying to see where Cheddar went. Suddenly, everyone started to notice that something smells really tasty, and it seems like it’s coming from the School in the Sky.

“Mm. I smell ham, cheese, lettuce and tomato. It’s all coming from the School in the Sky! Let’s go back.” Ord exclaimed, clearly beginning to feel hungry.

“Whoa, darling. We can't stop now. We have to finish my movie, and you have to find your pet dragon mouse.” Rarity said.

“Oh, yeah. Poor little Cheddar, where could he be?” Ord said, clearly worried about his pet as they all continued flying.

Back at the School in the Sky, Diamond Tiara and Quetzal were busy making their sandwich. They added ham, tomato, mustard and any delicacies they could think of. What do you know, Cheddar is hiding behind a jar!

Rarity and the dragons continued searching until they landed.

“Whew. My wings are getting tired.” Zak exclaimed.

“So are my lips.” Wheezie continued.

“I'm getting hungry.” Ord spoke as he noticed that delicious smell and flew back to the School in the Sky.

“Ord, wait.” Rarity commanded, but he’s too far away. At least she has Cassie, Zak and Wheezie left.

“Come on, Cassie, you're the detective. Find the dragon mouse!” Rarity commanded.

“Uh, actually, Rarity, all this flying has made me kind of hungry too. Why don't you come and have a snack with us?” Cassie asked.

“I can't. I have to finish my movie.” Rarity answered, still wanting to finish her movie.

“Well, okay.” Cassie answered as Rarity sighed. She realized she doesn’t have the detective for her movie anymore. She only has Zak and Wheezie left for her movie.

“At least my movie will still have music, won't it?” Rarity wondered.

“Sure, it will. Right after lunch.” Zak answered.

“Right after lunch” Wheezie continued as she and Zak flew off.

“Wait, what about my movie?” Rarity spoke, clearly losing her interest to continue her movie. She doesn’t have any more cast members.

Back at the School in the Sky, they all gathered around Quetzal and Diamond as they both continued making their sandwich. The dragons were clearly loving it. Eventually, Rarity showed up.

“Hi, Rarity. How is your movie going?” Diamond asked.

“It’s not going so well anymore, darling. I need my own stars to continue my movie.” Rarity replied, beginning to feel left out. She’s clearly starting to feel what Diamond Tiara felt when Rarity didn't let her friend be a part of the movie. “I guess I have no cast. I guess my movie had to be canceled.” Rarity sighed in disappointment.

“Really? Did you ask Diamond how she wanted to help?” Quetzal asked.

“Oh, I guess I didn’t really think about what she wanted, did I?” Rarity realized before she thought of an idea to make up for the conflict she caused and approached Diamond Tiara. “How about this, darling. I can have you appear in one part of my new project.” she said.

“I’m not a dragon, though.” Diamond replied, feeling down for how she acted.

“I’m making something new: The Dragon Chef and you & Quetzal are the stars!” Rarity offered as Diamond accepted the offer.

“Aw, thank you. I knew you would understand my greatness.” Diamond said in excitement as Rarity started filming her new show. After the show finished, Rarity’s dragon badge began to glow.

“Whoa! My badge.” Rarity exclaimed, admiring her purple diamond gem’s glow. “I guess friendship will last as long as I have all my friends a part of it.”

It’s just then Cheddar shows up!

“Cheddar! You’re back. Where were you?” Ord exclaimed as he held his hand out and Cheddar scampered on it.

“I guess it’s a happy ending for all of us. Let’s dig in, everybody!” Diamond spoke as everyone laughed and started eating.

After their lunch, it’s time for Rarity and Diamond Tiara to head home. “I wish, I wish, to use this rhyme, to go back home, until next time.” they recited in unison as they returned to Rarity’s room.

“It sure was the greatest adventure I ever had today. Sorry that I have been a jerk towards you today.” Diamond said, feeling sorry for how she acted.

“Don’t be too hard on yourself, darling. I should’ve listened to you and I’m sorry. Now that I’m finished with my projects, how about you start on your video diary.” Rarity replied as she hands her camera over to her friend.

“That’s okay, Rarity. I forgive you. I actually don’t need a video diary anymore. I feel better now, and I know I can wait until I’m old enough to see an R-rated movie anyway.” Diamond replied.

“That’s my friend. Always looking at the bright side of things!” Rarity exclaimed as she and Diamond Tiara giggled.
