Zecora had told the two dragons about the history between their kind and Changelings.
"So then that last remaining hive are the ones who kidnapped all the ponies from the village I grew up near." Emziko said.
That was when a knock occured on the door. "Zecora, are you busy right now?" A female voice asked.
"That's Twilight." Spike said.
"Spike, what are you doing out here? Oh never mind..." Twilight said, though her voice was slightly muffled being on the other side of Zecora's door.
Spike let Twilight in, letting her meet Emziko in the process. "Huh. When I heard you'd go to the dragon migration, I didn't expect you to bring a different dragon back with you." Twilight stated.
"Name's Emziko." Emziko said.
"Can you back up for a moment though Emziko; what exactly did you mean the ponies at the village you grew up near was kidnapped?" Spike asked.
Emziko looked a little perhensive, but decided to share her story anyways.
Emziko's P.O.V.
I was born near a pony village some ways away. These ponies were scared of me because I was a dragon. And because I was born alone, I had to grow up fending for myself.
The pony village was in an area that was constantly in danger from wildfires, and all the houses within the village limits were fire proofed because of this. However, there was one pony family who lived on the outskirts of the village because they couldn't afford a place inside the village limits.
One fateful day, their house got caught on fire from one of the wildfires, and seeing as they wouldn't have gotten out by themselves, I gladly helped them out. After all, dragons are able to swim in lava, so a fire like that was nothing to me.
After I had saved the pony family, the village became a lot more accepting of me and what I was. While some fear remained, I worked hard to help the village out where I could. That allowed me privileges I didn't have before. Which included books all about dragons and what they were all about. Everything about them was in those books, and I memorized each and every line.
One fateful day, the village was running low on the supplies they used to protect their houses form wildfires. Since a lot of ponies needed to be in the village to evacate any homes that caught on fire while protection supplies were low, I volunteered to go fetch additional supplies. I was given a sizable amount of bits to purchase these supplies, and then left the village.

"By the time I got back however, every last pony had gone mysteriously missing. Every house reeked of the smell of burnt cockroach. I wasn't sure why I knew that smell, but all I knew at that time was that the ponies I thought of as my family were all gone." Emziko said. "Everything I just told you happened two years ago."
"So, when the dragon migration happened, you saw that as a chance to get a fresh start?" Spike asked.
"Yeah. I was hoping I'd run into some creature who might give me a lead on the culprits. Didn't think I'd end up with an answer." Emziko said.
"I feel very sorry for what you went through. I know Ponyville could never replace your old village, but I feel like you'd make a fine addition to the town." Twilight said.
"Would they really accept me though?" Emziko asked.
"Hey, I've lived there for a while now, so I doubt they'd react negativitly towards you. Besides, you don't seem like a mean dragon." Spike said.
"I'm only mean towards those I deem worth being mean to. Ponies aren't really on that list unless some pony specifically is mean to me." Emziko said.
"Besides, I'd really appreciate it if you were around more often. While we do have an idea on the creatures that kidnapped all those ponies, you have no idea where they are right now. I'd say until you know more, you decided to start over." Spike said.
So...this is why Dragon Lords always looked to Purple Dragons for advice... Emziko thought to herself. "Yeah. Because I wouldn't know what do to with myself after I brought those culprits to justice. I don't know if the ponies that were kidnapped are even still alive at this point, but regardless, for their sake, I will find the culprits responsible." The green dragoness said aloud. "Until then...perhaps getting a fresh start properly wouldn't be such a bad idea..."
Author's Note
I created an original backstory for Emziko for the purpose of this fic. What do you think? Did I do good?
