Chapter 4: The Final Standoff
Sunset Shimmer and Wallflower Blush stood on the edge of the haunted garden, facing the menacing scarecrow. Equestrian Magic radiated from the scarecrow; a powerful aura that made it nearly invincible. Their friends, transformed into pumpkins, lay scattered around the eerie landscape.
Sunset turned to Wallflower, determination shining in her eyes. "We need to combine our powers. It's the only way to defeat this scarecrow."
Wallflower nodded; her green eyes filled with resolve. "Let's do this."
Sunset activated her geode, a brilliant light emanating from her, while Wallflower focused her gardening skills, drawing upon the magic within her. The ground beneath them began to tremble as vines erupted from the earth, glowing with an ethereal light.
The scarecrow lunged forward, but the enchanted vines shot up, wrapping around its limbs and torso. The scarecrow struggled, but the combined power of Sunset and Wallflower was too strong. The vines tightened, crushing the scarecrow until it shattered into pieces, disintegrating into nothingness.
As the dust settled, a magical wave swept over the garden, and the pumpkins began to glow. One by one, their friends rematerialized, covered in pumpkin juice but back to their normal selves.
Rainbow Dash shook off the remnants of the transformation, looking both relieved and exhilarated. "That was awesome!"
Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo hugged each other, grateful to be back. Applejack and Apple Bloom exchanged a tearful embrace, happy to be reunited. Sci-Twi adjusted her glasses, examining the remnants of the magic. Big Mac simply nodded, a smile on his face. Rarity and Pinkie Pie were busy cleaning themselves off, but their relief was palpable.
Fluttershy cries tears of joy in her eyes as she brought back to normal and is reunited with her friends. She had hung in there and hoped to be rescued. Her hopes have really paid off!
Above them, the planet of Pumpkinia began to shrivel and fade away, the magic that sustained it dissipating now that the scarecrow was gone. The once-threatening world disappeared from sight, leaving nothing but the serene landscape of Sweet Apple Acres.
The friends stood together, united and victorious, knowing that their bond and combined efforts had saved them once again.

Chapter 1: The Haunted Garden
The autumn sun cast a golden glow over Sweet Apple Acres as Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo around a large pile of pumpkins.
"Alright, y'all," Applejack called out, lifting a pumpkin high above her head. "Let's get to smashin'!"
Rainbow Dash grinned, eager to show off her strength. "This is gonna be awesome!"
As the friends took turns smashing pumpkins, laughter filled the air. Orange fragments and seeds flew everywhere, creating a colorful mess.
"Applejack, this is so much fun!" Apple Bloom said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"I must admit, it is quite satisfying," Rarity agreed, though she carefully stepped around the mess to avoid dirtying her boots.
After smashing the last pumpkin in the pile, Scootaloo looked around. "Are there anymore? I'm not ready to stop yet!"
"Ah reckon we got a few more over by the north field," Applejack replied, wiping sweat from her brow. "Let's go see."
The group made their way across the farm, chatting and laughing. As they approached the north field, they noticed a narrow, winding path leading into the forest.
"Hey, y'all, over here!" Apple Bloom called out, pointing to a narrow, overgrown path leading into the woods. "I think I see more pumpkins down this way!"
The group exchanged curious glances before following Apple Bloom. The path was winding and eerie, with twisted trees and thick underbrush.
After a short walk, they emerged into a strange garden surrounded by an old, crumbling stone wall.
"This place gives me the creeps," Scootaloo whispered, her eyes wide.
"Look at all those pumpkins!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, already eyeing the potential for more smashing fun.
As they ventured further into the garden, they noticed a weathered sign staked into the ground. Rarity brushed off the dirt and read aloud:
"Smash all the pumpkins you want, but never tamper with the scarecrows that live here."
"Ha! Who's afraid of a couple of old scarecrows?" Rainbow Dash scoffed, her confidence unwavering.
The others nodded in agreement, their curiosity outweighing any sense of caution. They spread out, each finding their own targets among the pumpkins scattered throughout the garden. The sound of pumpkins smashing filled the air once more.
Suddenly, Apple Bloom's voice rang out. "Hey, y'all! Check this out!"
They hurried over to find Apple Bloom standing before a particularly large jack-o-lantern-headed scarecrow. It stood taller than the others, its eerie grin carved into the pumpkin head. Next to it was another scarecrow, its jack-o-lantern head slightly askew.
"Let's smash these ones!" Apple Bloom suggested with a mischievous glint in her eye.
Before anyone could protest, Apple Bloom grabbed a large rock and smashed the jack-o-lantern head of the scarecrow's wife. The head shattered into pieces, scattering seeds everywhere.
"Nice one, Apple Bloom!" Sweetie Belle cheered.
But their celebration was cut short as the remaining scarecrow began to move. Its limbs creaked and groaned as it came to life, turning its glowing, carved eyes towards them.
"You've made a grave mistake," the scarecrow rasped, its voice filled with anger.
Apple Bloom took a step back, her eyes wide with fear. The scarecrow lunged forward, grabbing her arms with its rough, hands.
"Hey, let go of me! What’re ya doin'?!" She struggled, but the scarecrow's grip was too strong.
She starts to feel the transformation slowly beginning, looking at her arms in horror.
"No! What's happenin' to me?!" Her voice becomes more panicked as she notices her skin turning a sickly shade of orange and hardening.
"Somebody, help! I’m turnin' into a pumpkin!" Apple Bloom shouted, her voice weakening as her fate was about to be sealed.
"Please... I don’t wanna be... a pumpkin…Help..." Apple Bloom cried out as she fully solidified and was about to be smashed.
"Apple Bloom!" Applejack shouted, rushing forward, but it was too late. The scarecrow threw the pumpkin-ified Apple Bloom to the ground, smashing her to pieces. It bent down, collecting the seeds from the remains. Everyone screams in terror and cries in tears from what they had witnessed and realized they're next!
"We need to get out of here!" Rarity cried, her voice trembling.
The scarecrow straightened up, its eyes glowing with malevolence. "You cannot escape. You will all pay for what you've done."
Panic set in as the group scattered, each running in a different direction. The scarecrow moved with surprising speed, its limbs propelling it forward as it chased after them one by one.
Applejack darted through the trees, her heart pounding in her chest. "We have to find a way to stop it!"
Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo tried to regroup, their minds racing with fear and desperation.
"This way!" Rainbow Dash shouted, leading them towards a denser part of the forest. "Maybe we can lose it in the thick brush!"
But the scarecrow was relentless, its sinister laughter echoing through the trees as it closed in on them. They could only hope to find safety before the scarecrow caught up and exacted its revenge.
The eerie silence of the haunted garden pressed heavily on the remaining girls as they dashed through the twisted paths, desperately seeking refuge from the relentless scarecrow. The garden's ominous aura seemed to pulse with life, every rustle of leaves and snap of twigs amplifying their fear.
Applejack sprinted through the maze of gnarled trees, her heart pounding like a drum in her chest. She could hear the scarecrow's raspy voice echoing through the foliage, taunting her.
"Running won't save you, little farmer. I will find you." The scarecrow taunts as Applejack continues sprinting.
"No! Stay back, ya varmint! Y'all ain't takin' me without a fight!" Applejack yelled in confidence that she’s going to lose the creature.
She stumbled upon a small clearing and hid behind a massive tree, hoping to catch her breath. Unfortunately, the scarecrow was too close. It emerged from the shadows; its limbs creaking as it moved.
Applejack screamed and tried to bolt, but the scarecrow's hand shot out, grabbing her ankle and tripping her. "Whoa, nelly! Let go of me!" she yelled after the scarecrow tripped her.
“What in tarnation...? I ain't goin' down like this!" She exclaimed as she felt a strange sensation wash over her as her body began to transform. Her limbs turned rigid, and her skin hardened into the rough texture of a pumpkin.
"Please, no! My family needs me!" She yelled out before she became completely solidified. The scarecrow's cruel laughter filled her ears as it stomped on her newly formed pumpkin body, squashing her apart and collecting her seeds.
Rainbow Dash, ever the athlete, leapt into the air, grabbing onto a high tree branch. She hoped the height would keep her safe, at least for a moment. “You'll never catch me; you overstuffed hay bale! I've got speed on my side!"
Suddenly, she sees that the scarecrow was prowling beneath her. "Come down, little flyer. Let's see if you can escape." She watched in sheer terror at that moment Before she could react, the scarecrow's arm stretched unnaturally, grabbing her foot.
"Hey! Let me go, you creep!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she was being yanked.
"What the...?! This isn't happening! Somebody help!" Rainbow screamed in fright as she hit the ground hard, her body morphing into a pumpkin upon impact. The scarecrow lifted her fragile form. grew its legs up high and dropped her again, smashing her into pieces. It gathered her seeds with a satisfied grunt.
Sweetie Belle crouched behind an old, crumbling fountain, trying to stifle her sobs. She heard the scarecrow's footsteps drawing near and pressed herself closer to the cold stone.
"There's no hiding from me, little one." the Scarecrow yelled with Sweetie sobbing, “No, no, no! Please, don't!" Suddenly, the scarecrow's hand swiped into her view and grabbed her head, lifting her effortlessly.
"Let go of me!" Sweetie Belle yelled before she gasped as her body transformed into a pumpkin. "This can't be real! Rarity! Help me!”
That's all she had to say before she became solidified. The scarecrow raised her high above its head and slammed her down, shattering her into pieces. It picked up her seeds with meticulous care.
Rarity and Scootaloo, the last two standing, found themselves cornered near the garden's edge. The scarecrow loomed over them, its eyes glowing with malevolent intent. Just as it reached for them, a burst of light filled the air. Sci-Twi, Sunset Shimmer, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy appeared, all ponied up and filled with determination. They also have Wallflower Blush and Big Macintosh by their side.
"Back off!" Sci-Twi shouted, her hands glowing with energy.
The scarecrow hissed and recoiled, momentarily stunned by the combined power of their saviors. Seizing the opportunity, Rarity and Scootaloo rushed to their friends, relief flooding through them.
"This isn't over," the scarecrow snarled before vanishing into the shadows.
The group stood together, shaken but united, knowing they had narrowly escaped a dreadful fate. As they made their way out of the haunted garden, they couldn't shake the feeling that the scarecrow's curse would continue to haunt them.

Chapter 2: The Story of Pumpkinia
After being saved by Sci-Twi, Big Mac, Wallflower and the others, Rarity and Scootaloo are still traumatized from what they saw what happened to Applejack, Apple Bloom, Rainbow Dash and Sweetie Belle.
"All right, tell me what happened and what made you this way." Sunset requested as Rarity and Scootaloo both sigh and tell their story.
"Okay. It all started when I was there smashing pumpkins with my friends, especially Applejack. We searched for more pumpkins when I found a mysterious path through the forest that took us to that haunted garden where that scarecrow prowled and hunted us down!" Scootaloo explained as Sunset suddenly had a flashback vision.
She sees a wisp of Equestrian Magic that has flown to a normal plantation garden into a haunted Halloween field with mysterious scarecrows being magically teleporting to the location. Sunset immediately recognizes the scarecrows as she snaps back into reality.
"I recognize those creatures! They're from Pumpkinia!" Sunset exclaimed.
"What's Pumpkinia?" Rarity asked.
"Pumpkinia is a planet that lives way outside our solar system. It's occupied by many monsters and creatures from nightmares and that must be where it took Applejack, Apple Bloom, Rainbow Dash and your sister!" Sci-Twi explained with Rarity becoming even more scared.
"Oh, my god! Poor Sweetie Belle. I do hope she can handle the nightmares. Who knows what's going on there?" Rarity exclaimed, when the spirits of Applejack, Apple Bloom, Rainbow Dash and Sweetie Belle suddenly appear in front of them.
"Rarity! Thank goodness you're safe." Applejack's spirit said in relief.
"Sweetie Belle! What happened to you? Where are you?!" Rarity asked, worried about the spirit of her sister.
"Rarity! It sure is scary there. I do hope you can all save us! It also appears that our souls are all imprisoned in the void within those pumpkin seeds. The worst thing is we're all covered in pumpkin juice now!!" Sweetie Belle said, scared.
"I do hope we can hang in there until you release us. You better think of something fast!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as her spirit starts glitching out.
"You can do it! Ah believe in you!" Apple Bloom exclaimed as her spirit glitches out along with everyone else.
"Oh, my. Stay safe, sis." Rarity said, scared for her sister's well-being as Fluttershy comforts the sad fashionista.
"It's okay, Rarity. We'll figure this out. You just need to have faith in your sister and the others." she said, with Rarity starting to feel a little better.
"Thanks, Flutters. We just need to figure out how to save them from Pumpkinia. What do you think we should do to fight back, Twi?" Rarity asked before Wallflower states something that might help.
"I have an idea. As an experienced gardener, I personally know the scarecrow's weakness." Wallflower exclaimed with Rarity and the others closing in to hear her out.
"Go on." Big Mac requested as Wallflower Blush continues.
Meanwhile on Pumpkinia, there are dark spirits roaming around the dark forest while the souls of Applejack, Apple Bloom, Rainbow Dash and Sweetie Belle are still trapped and floating helplessly inside those pumpkin seeds and the void within.
"Ew! My dress. I hate this so much. I'm scared!" Sweetie Belle complained, clearly despising the pumpkin juice spilling all over her outfit. Luckily, she has Apple Bloom by her side to cheer her up. So was Rainbow and Applejack. They all floated over to the scared little girl.
"It's okay, sugarcube. Ah know your sister and the others will rescue us and destroy Pumpkinia while they're at it. Just hang in there and we'll just have to float around and wait, sugarcube." reassured Applejack, starting to shed tears herself along with her sister and Rainbow Dash.
Back in Sci-Twi's house, Wallflower explained that the Scarecrow's weakness is light and everyone started making weapons so they can fight back, knowing that they can use its weakness to their advantage. Just minutes later, they're set to fight against the scarecrow and rescue their friends from their nightmare. They arm themselves with slingshots along with ammo in form of magic fireballs (plus gloves that are magically fire-proof). They also have swords, whips, magic-blasting guns and anything you can think of.
"Let's go slay that monster!" Wallflower exclaimed.
"We'll get dirty trying, but it's the risk we'll be willing to take!" Rarity said.
"Don't forget that Pumpkinia has to be destroyed after we save our friends!" Scootaloo and Pinkie Pie shouted in unison.
"Yep!" Big Mac said.
"Alright, everyone. Let's move out!" Sci-Twi and Sunset commanded as they all leave the building and are ready to fight against their Halloween enemy.

Chapter 3: The Battle of the Fittest
Several minutes later, they go back to the haunted garden armed with weapons and ready to fight.
"All right, everybody. Just stay alert for any abnormal activity." Sunset instructed as they roam the garden. Fluttershy was especially nervous to do anything at that point. Luckily, Pinkie Pie is there holding her hand. It was when Wallflower begins to hear rustling in the field.
"I think I detect something, Sunny." Wallflower tells Sunset, which has the group stop upon Wallflower's statement. Just when Wallflower opens her mouth to explain more, something jumped in front of them. It's the scarecrow! They arm themselves and split up, going to different areas so they have more room to fire away and fight.
Sunset and Wallflower went to the trees so they can blast magic ammo out of their magic guns with Sunset using her geode for extra protection.
Sci-Twi and Big Mac went to the farmhouse and armed themselves with their magic swords.
Fluttershy and Rarity went to the fountain with fireballs and slingshot. Rarity also makes a dome shield around them, except for the hole in front of them so they can still fire away.
Pinkie Pie hides in the crates in the far side of the yard with her whip.
They waited in their own areas for the scarecrow to pop-up into their sight. Eventually, the creature showed his jack-o-lantern face in the farmhouse. Sci-Twi and Big Mac immediately slashed at him with their swords. That clearly didn't have any impact on it.
"That's impossible! It must be Equestrian Magic that is protecting the monster. How come I didn't think about that?!" Sci-Twi exclaimed in panic as the scarecrow approaches her and Big Mac.
"You're just realizing this now?!?!" Big Mac yelled as the scarecrow suddenly grabs them and starts turning them into pumpkins!
"Nooo!!!!" Sci-Twi yelled out as she turns completely solid as Big Mac turned solid as well. The scarecrow laughed as he smashes a giant hammer on the two teens, collecting their seeds that have souls floating in them. The scarecrow then leaves to go to wherever he can find more victims.
Meanwhile behind the fountain, Rarity and Fluttershy were keeping guard inside the dome when the scarecrow shows up in front of them! He was holding Sci-Twi and Big Mac's seeds.
"Oh, no! Twilight! Big Mac! You're going to pay for this, you big pumpkin-headed monster!" Rarity yelled as Fluttershy starts slinging fireballs at him. Suddenly, the scarecrow's hand extends itself to Rarity's shield and it has enough force to break it and Rarity collapses to the ground upon impact.
"Rarity!" Fluttershy yelled as the scarecrow grabs hold of Rarity's ankle.
"Oh, woe is me! My outfit! It's ruined!!!!" Rarity screamed out as she became completely solidified. The scarecrow makes a fist and slams it against pumpkin-fied Rarity and smashes her. The scarecrow picks up Rarity's seeds and just walks off, not noticing Fluttershy who is still hiding.
Fluttershy is just sneaking out from behind the fountain when suddenly, the scarecrow sneaks up on her, holding Rarity's seeds in his hand and picks her up by the head and she becomes solidified. He then slams the poor animal lover to the ground and picks up her seeds.
On the far side of the garden, Pinkie Pie is caught by the scarecrow as he approaches the party girl who pops out and prepares to attack with her whip. Unfortunately, the scarecrow grabs the whip and spreads his pumpkin-ification powers on it. Pinkie Pie was still holding on to her weapon as the solidifcation spreads to her directly! She was innocently giggling as the transformation tickles her, until she's completely solid now. The scarecrow pulls the whip from her and slashes her apart, grabbing her seeds.
Over at the trees, the scarecrow approaches Sunset and Wallflower.
"You wondering where your friends went? Look and see for yourself" The scarecrow asked as he holds out the seeds he collected. Sunset and Wallflower can clearly hear their spirits calling for help within them!
"No!" Sunset Shimmer yelled in despair as Wallflower Blush is ready to fire away.
"Your magic won't work on me!" the scarecrow exclaimed, taunting the gardener. Sunsets takes a closer look at the scarecrow (from the very safe distance of course). Her geode senses that there's Equestrian Magic on the scarecrow and realizes that it's the reason that Pumpkinia came into existance.
"I think I'm starting to understand now. Wallflower, stop!" Sunset exclaimed as Wallflower stops before she could fire away. "I think I know why the scarecrow is invincible. There's some Equestrian Magic protecting it and the wisp must've spread to the farthest reaches of the universe to create Pumpkinia!" Sunset continued with Wallflower intrigued.
"How are we supposed to beat the scarecrow and save our friends?" Wallflower asked.
"Oh, I have a plan. Listen up!" Sunset exclaimed as she motions the gardener closer to her and Sunset starts whispering her plan to her friend's ear.

Chapter 5: A Halloween to Remember
The eerie glow of the full moon illuminated the streets of Canterlot City as the echoes of laughter and chatter filled the air. The aftermath of the battle with the scarecrow had left everyone relieved and ready to embrace the joy of Halloween once more.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders, dressed in their meticulously crafted costumes, skipped along the cobblestone paths, baskets in hand. Apple Bloom, with a witch’s hat slightly askew, led the way alongside Sweetie Belle, who twirled in her elegant fairy dress, and Scootaloo, confidently flaunting her pirate ensemble. Their sisters walked alongside them, their faces alight with the festive spirit.
“Alright, y’all,” Applejack said, adjusting her sheriff’s hat, “Let’s see who can get the most candy tonight!”
“Challenge accepted!” Rainbow Dash grinned, her superhero cape fluttering in the breeze.
Rarity, elegantly adorned as a regal queen, smiled warmly. “Now remember, dears, it’s not just about quantity, but also about quality. Choose your treats wisely!”
The group visited house after house, their baskets filling up with a delightful assortment of candies and treats. Laughter and playful banter followed them everywhere, the events of the recent battle already fading into the background.
Meanwhile, at Sci-Twi’s house, the atmosphere was equally jubilant. Streamers and balloons decorated the spacious living room, and a variety of Halloween-themed snacks covered the table. Sci-Twi, dressed as a mad scientist, adjusted her glasses and welcomed the guests.
“Welcome to the spookiest party in town!” she declared; her voice filled with excitement.
Sunset Shimmer, in a fiery phoenix costume, laughed. “You outdid yourself, Twi. This place looks amazing!”
Wallflower Blush, shyly adjusting her plant-themed costume, smiled. “I brought some pumpkin cookies. I figured they’d be a hit.”
Pinkie Pie, already bouncing with energy in her cupcake costume, clapped her hands. “This party is going to be epic! Let’s get this Halloween bash started!”
The music pumped through the speakers, and the room was soon filled with dancing, laughter, and the sounds of friends enjoying each other’s company. Games like bobbing for apples and pumpkin carving contests kept everyone entertained, and the night was filled with the joy of celebration.

"Sunset, what happened?" Sci-Twi's voice trembled; her glasses somehow still perched on her pumpkin form.
"We failed," Sunset said bitterly, her eyes flickering with the remnants of the fire that once burned within her. "The scarecrow won."
The scarecrow walked among them, his presence casting a dark shadow over the garden. "Welcome to your new home," he sneered. "You'll make fine additions to my collection."
"What do you want from us?" Applejack demanded, her voice steady despite the terror that gripped her.
