The very next day, me and the other defenders were at the beach with Princess Angel Adella, Flounder Finn, Sheldon Seahorse, Zion Zooplank, Pearl Popps, preparing to leave Mt. Aris to go on our ocean quest. Queen Skystar wanted to say "goodbye" before we leave.

"Angel Adella," Skystar said. "have fun on your journey with our new friends, but please be careful. There are unexpected things out in the ocean."

"Don't worry, mom." said Angel. "We'll be okay."

"I'll watch over them, your Majesty." said Flounder.

"Alright my pony friends." Skystar announced. "You all have a great quest, and I bid thee good fortune."

We all went into the water, joined hooves and talons together, and Angel and Flounder touched their magical pearl fragments, which turned all of us into seaponies. And, off we go to go across the ocean and stop Shelby from taking over Mt. Aris and Seaquestria.

We stopped at the Drop Off. It was the first time someone went into the open water.

"I can't believe we're doing this." said Zion.

We all started to leave the reef. It was the only way to get to Shelbie.

We were still swimming beyond the reef, twelve miles away from Mt. Aris. I looked at my GPS to see how long the trip is going to take. As I was examining, I discovered we have to go through eight different places. There was the Sandy Reef, the Sea-Forest of Misery, the Shipwreck Graveyard, Melody Meadow, the Field of Spongepop, Blue Whale Territory, Sea-foggy Clouds, and the Seaquestria Current.

"Alright everypony, we got lots of places to get through, but let's do this!" I told everypony.

We arrived at the Sandy Reef. It was all sand on the sea floor, some sea grass growing out of the sand, big rocky corals around the reef, and lots of schools of fish swimming to migrate to their homes.

"Wow, look at all these schools of fish." said Peach Fizz. "They're migrating home."

"This is one of the places to see under the sea." I say.

"Come on everypony, let's swim." said Sheldon Seahorse.

Then, we keep on swimming through the reef.

We were still swimming past the Sandy Reef, and it was so lovely with all the life around it.

"Wow, all the life in this Sandy Reef is so lovely." said Trueheart.

"You can say that again." said Tangerine Twist.

Princess Angel thought of something as she was looking at the fish.

"Everypony, I think there's a sea creature you may want to meet." Angel said.

Then, we started following Angel to see someone.

Angel lead us into an underwater cave. As we went inside, it was full of light from the holes in the ceiling. Then, we stopped, when we hear a voice.

"Is that my Angel Adella?" the voice asked.

"Yes, Grandma Manta." Angel replied. "I'm here to talk to you."

Then, Grandma Manta appeared in the spotlight. She was an elderly Manta ray. And the best part is she knows all around the ocean. And of course, she treated her friends and visitors like her family, Angel is what Manta loves the most, when Angel was a kid.

"Good morning, child." said Manta. "You know how much I love it when you can come over to see me. And, what a treat of you to have some friends with you, even your boyfriend."

"Great to see you, too, Grandma Manta." said Flounder.

"Sheldon Seahorse, Zion Zooplank, and Pearl Popps, you three are cute as ever." said Manta.

"Amazing as ever." said Zion.

"Enjoyable." said Pearl.

"Outstanding." said Sheldon.

"And are the rest of you ponies from Equestria?" Manta asked.

"Yes, yes we are." I say.

"You look amazing." said Cloudy Carla.

"Why, thank you, dear." said Manta.

"Grandma Manta serves as my advisor." said Angel. "She always gives me great advise of what I should know."

"So, what brings you all here?" Manta asked Angel.

"Well, we're on a quest to find and stop an evil seapony witch named Shelby." I say.

"Shelby? But, she's so wicked."

"We know." said Ellagant Glare. "But we, the Great Defenders of Friendship, can handle danger like Shelby."

"We are good at solving friendship problems back home and other places, and fighting villains." said Clumsy Bumzy.

"Well little ponies, that is a big trip." said Manta. "You foals need to be careful, Shelby is really famous for trapping intruders in her own magic bubbles"

"Yes, ma'am." I say.

As we were leaving the cave, Grandma Manta was telling Angel something.

"Now child, I know how much you love Flounder Finn. If you want him to marry you, you should remember that God will give you the courage you need. Just express your feelings and tell him how much you love him."

"I will. Thank you so much." said Angel.

Then, as Angel left the cave, we continue swimming through the reef.

We were all still swimming, and swimming, and swimming, everypony got completely bored.

"Man, I'm so bored." said Bubble Burst.

"Me, too." said Sharpy Gem.

"Come on, everypony." said Flounder Finn. "We got to keep our heads up."

What we were noticing is that Clumsy Bumzy was beat boxing to entertain himself.

"Clumsy, why are you beat boxing?" Glory asked.

"It's a way to entertain myself." Clumsy answered. "We can sing during trips, you know? And, I'm singing."

We'd forgotten about making music, we joined Clumsy into a song. Clumsy was beat boxing, while the rest of us were singing our vocals from low to high. Angel and Flounder were singing with us too.

Minutes later after we sang our song, we made it to the other side of the Sandy Reef and found the Sea-Forest of Misery. It was full of prickly sea branches, urchins, and dark green kelp, and it was so scary.

"Looks like a Sea-Forest of Misery to me." said Fearful Moe.

"Okay, everypony, the forest is pretty dangerous. So, we got to stay together." I say.

We all entered the forest together, so we all don't get lost.

We were swimming past the kelp and sea branches, looking for anything suspicious.

"Don't tell me we're going in there." Zion Zooplank begged.

"Sorry, but we are going in there." said Pearl Popps.

"We're all in this together." said Sheldon Seahorse.

When we were swimming near an underwater cliff, something big came out of hiding. It was a giant eel and it scared us.

"Okay everypony, let's just swim past the eel." I say. "i understand there are giant creatures in this part of the sea.

"Call me a giant doctor." Present Prize whimpered.

"Present, I'm a doctor. I'll be here when someone's hurt." said Sapphire Serum.

"Oh right. I keep forgetting." said Present.

Author's Note

The part where Angel met and had a conversation with Grandma Manta was a reference to "Pocahontas," where Pocahontas was visiting Grandmother Willow.

The heroes singing a song with beat boxing was like from "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning."
