CYOA: A Day in Ponyville

Previous ChapterNext ChapterSore from all that weather fighting, you land in front of the hospital and slowly walk inside. Nurse Redheart smiles as she notices you. "Hello, did you get into some trouble out there?" She stands beside you as you come inside.
You don't think it's too bad. "Just some storms." You wince as you lift a wing. "It was a bit rough, but we pulled through. I was hoping for a quick checkup."
Redheart looks you over. "Well, you've been in here enough to know the drill." She guides you down the hallways, stopping in front of an examination room. "Go ahead and change into a gown, then I'll have a look."
You pull on a gown. Why a pony had to get dressed to be examined, you had no idea. Properly garbed, you climb up onto the table.
"Oh, you're in the paper." Nurse Redheart gestures to a newspaper discarded nearby. "Sounds like things were rougher than you said. Good work out there. I'll be sure to make sure your personal effects are locked away while you're here." She starts patting you down carefully. "Let's have a look. Anything hurting?"
You hesitate before telling her where it hurts, as it feels silly. But she asks again and you give her the whole list. "Wings ache a little, some muscles are sore, and my face hurts from frowning at clouds all day." You squeak as she finds an especially sore part near where your wings meet your torso.
She seems quite concerned with that spot. "Alright, let's get to work on this." She brings in a second nurse who assists her with some kind of pressure points treatment. She has you lie down on your belly so she can reach the areas without causing more pain. "And just try to relax. Let me know if I'm pushing too hard."
The two of them prod and pull and push. You expect a lot more pain than you do get. There's some, but they're good at what they're doing. The two of them actually seem to enjoy working together to help you. After what feels like hours, you feel much better.
Redheart nods approvingly. "There, that should take care of most of it." She sits back on her haunches. "The rest can only get better with time, and you relaxing. No weather fighting until the pain is entirely gone, you hear me? It wouldn't do to have you injured out there because we didn't do a thorough enough job."
You sigh, contentedly happy with the care you've received. "I don't mind getting in here again for another one of those."
Redheart taps your nose. "No. You only come here if you get hurt doing the right thing. We will kick you right back out if we think you're coming on purpose." The other nurse nods in agreement. "So, keep an eye on yourself and come back if something gets worse, alright?"
"Sounds like a plan." You hold out a hoof, exchanging a friendly shake with the nurses. You shake off the examination clothes and hop down to the floor. "Thank you."
You head home with a smile. It was a good day of weather patrol.
