CYOA: A Day in Ponyville

Previous ChapterNext ChapterChilling with Rainbow sounds like a fantastic idea. "Lead the way." You get right up beside her as you fly out over the calm waters of the pond. You glide over its surface, taking in the serenity of it all. It feels good to just relax and enjoy yourself.
You both touch down on the beach. She pulls out a cot and ties it up between two trees. "You got one?"
You did not, and admitted as such. "No biggie." She proves she has a second that she ties up right next to the first. "There. Now we've got somewhere to lounge."
You shake your head, glad she has it all taken care of. Rainbow is quite a lot more prepared than you gave her credit for. "You really thought this through."
Rainbow hops onto her cot with a satisfied sigh. "When it comes to chillaxing, you can never be too prepared." She glances at you. "Gonna lie down, or what?"
You come closer, testing the waters. It's soft, yet firm. You let out a satisfied sound and plop down on the cot with a deep sigh. Part of you is excited. It's not often you get to chill out with the leader of the weather team. You know this kind of experience was rare.
She pulls out some peanut butter crackers, offering you one. You happily accept. You stay like that for a while, basking in the warm sun and cool breeze.
A shadow passes over the both of you. "Is that you?" A serpant is coiled up and over you both, smiling at Rainbow. "I was about to get irate, but then I saw who it was. Rainbow Danger Dash!"
Rainbow bursts into laughter. "Steven Magnet! What are you doing in a little pond like this?"
"Oh, I came across it and figured it'd be a lovely place for a midday nap." He adjusts his position, lying on his side. "What do you say? Shall we nap together?"
You shake your head, amused at what had become your chilling buddies. "Sounds good to me."
Rainbow pulls down some dark goggles over her eyes. "Already ahead of you. Have fun."
You snuggle up against Steven, enjoying the feeling of his scales against your coat. They're soft and smooth, and quite warm in the sunlight. You feel an ache in your muscles as you lie down, then quickly forget about it as your eyelids grow heavy.
With the cot under you, Rainbow to one side, and a rather snuggly river serpent on the other, you enjoy a nice nap.
That was a fine day in Ponyville.
The end.
