CYOA: A Day in Ponyville

A unicorn pony, with bright yellow fur and a soft orange mane. Yep, it is all in order. You are looking as good as usual. With a chuckle, you move past the mirror and the ponies holding it up. They can't be bothered with acknowledging you.

With a glowing horn, you help the mirror move along and end up following the ponies to where a new shop is being assembled. A new crystal store called "Cutie Mark's Collectibles."

"Oh look," the first mare says. "Here comes the special guest now." She lifts her head and gestures over your shoulder with her hoof.

"Perfect! I hope you have everything ready. I have an idea that will really set this place apart from any other," the new arrival says as she approached.

You have a look at the new manager, a slender earth pony. Like most ponies of Ponyville, he had neither wings nor horn. You are one of the rarest around those parts, with a magical horn atop your head. "Do tell," you invite. "I like the look of it already."

The building has large picture windows with two display dummies inside. One held a tiara. The other displayed a parasol. It looks elegant and refined already.

The manager walks up to you, the one that spoke. "I'm glad you asked. These crystals come from none other than the Crystal Empire itself. Each and every shard if authorized by Cadance, their princess. The quality just can't be beat! Look at them, touch them."

You feel the texture of the walls. It is very smooth. It reminds you of something else, like marble.

"I have to make this stand out from other shops." He moves in front of his door as his workers busily labor behind him. "So you can all enjoy its splendors. I do hope you all like glittering things. For your mane, or hanging on a leg, or even around your house. A little crystal can brighten your day!"

The first mare holding up the mirror thinks about it. "This sounds great. Do you think we could have a first pick of some things?"

"Oh, not only will you get first picks of the prettiest and most unique crystals." He leans in with a smile. Was there a crystal embedded in some of his teeth? You feel certain you spotted a few. "For being here today, you all get a special coupon for when we open!"

Mares in the crowd began to twitter with excitement. Even the one holding the mirror looked especially happy.

"That's right," he continued. "We'll be giving everypony a chance to purchase the newest and nicest crystal wear before anypony else gets their hooves on it." He curls on himself and pulls out a wad of coupons. "I have enough for all of you who gathered here nice and early today. One at a time."

You lean forward, eager to receive your coupon.
