CYOA: A Day in Ponyville

You follow after Pinkie. "That scale was really hard to get! And the dragon was a lot bigger than I thought." You pull to a stop, gaze falling to the ground. "I'm not sure if it was worth it."

Pinkie twirls around with a light giggle. "Well, you did what I asked. And that's the most important thing. It doesn't matter if it was hard, or you regret it, or even if it was boring! What matters is that you got the job done." She cups your cheeks between her hooves. "Thanks to you, everypony I had planned is going to get what they most want. I am so thankful to have you here."

You beam at that, cheeks burning. "Pinkie, don't say that. You're gonna make me cry!"

She pulls back with a light gasp. "No tears at a party!" She goes right back in, nose to nose. "I'm sorry if I didn't thank you properly. I didn't mean to! You did an amazing job."

She suddenly plonks to her bottom. "So tell me! Regale me with your adventure, brave scale snatcher!"

You clear your throat and trot in a circle around Pinkie. "Ahem! The journey started with this fair unicorn taking the train to a faraway land, seeking only the finest scales to decorate the finest of parties."

Pinkie blinked softly. "Hey, did you peek at my notes?" She pulls the edge of the page and casually browses a few other chapters. "Wow, you got into all kinds of trouble... Mmm, lucky guess?" She lets the edge go and laughs. "Silly pony. At least you found one of the good endings."

You freeze in place, halfway through a dramatic gesture. "Pinkie! What's that supposed to mean?"

She trots away from you with a bounce in her step. "Don't worry about it! Enjoy the party. I'll be naming you as one of the guests of honor."

You're both confused and excited by that news. Your hooves carry you off after Pinkie, but you can't find her. A stage has been set up in the center of town. A banner across the top declares, 'Thank you, Ponyville!'

Ponies gather around you, joyfully crowding and asking questions. They're all smiling and happy, and you can't help but feel the same way too.

This has been a wonderful, if exciting, day in Ponyville.
