The Princess' Morning

Equestria has gone through a lot over the years. There were unexpected times when the Elements of Harmony had to intervene. Without these elements, Equestria would not be able to survive and prosper. The rulers of this mostly equine society are the royal sisters, who ruled this land for over a thousand years. And while there were troubles, the land and its citizens survived and thrived in their unity and harmony.

One of these royal sisters was an alabaster alicorn princess named Celestia. As she did every morning, she rose from her bed with a great yawn and headed for the bathroom where she did her normal morning routine. Running the hot water over her form, she cooed as she couldn’t stop herself and was slowly rubbing along her lucious, alluring body. This wasn’t just the feeling of a body that was blessed by some growth and time. But Celestia’s body was the envy of every mare in Equestria.

Her height was superior to even the tallest stallion, standing over a head taller, and was used to having to look down on her subjects. Her neck was smooth and slender then ran down and led any eyes who gazed upon the rest of her body. Moving her hooves down to rub and clean herself, she reached her belly. It was thin and smooth, despite rumors of her gluttonous behavior when it came to cakes and treats. This only made her feel more pride in herself as she washed along herself. Cooing a little, the mare could feel the previous night’s aches and pains melt away with the water.

And finally, her flank, an ass that made anyone with even half a libido to turn and stare; even for a moment. Stallions and mares alike couldn’t resist gazing at the Princess’ royal ass at least once. The stallions would often fantasize about what it would feel like, while some mares would switch between desire and envy. It was in the perfect shape. Big enough to wiggle and bounce between the casual steps she took, but small enough not to make any clapping sounds as she walked.

“So good.” Celestia cooed, rubbing her body conditioner all along her alluring, beautiful form. It was a pleasure she had loved since her foalhood. “Nothing like a hot shower to melt all your worries away.” She was in such a good mood, the mare couldn’t help but hum a small tune as she did so.

Finishing up the shower, she exited, walking back into her room naked; the remnant waters dripping off her curves. While she would’ve preferred to relax and let her body dry slowly in the glow of the sun’s light, plans for the day forced her to speed up the process with magic. Igniting her horn, the Princess’ body glowed and then dimmed, her body having been thoroughly dried.

Once dried, Celestia looked herself over. It was always a lovely sight to see herself in the mirror. Doing a small twirl, she gazed at not only her voluptuous figure, but the grace of her large wings, how the feathers fluttered a little with each small flap. How her horn gave off a gleaming shine as if it was always well cared for and polished. And how her body looked to be at the peak of beauty and allure no matter what.

“Now, I think I’ll make some breakfast.” Celestia nodded to herself, smiling as she looked herself over in the mirror. Before she raised a hoof to call her servants to action, she paused. With a playful giggle, she winked at herself. “You know, maybe I’ll do the shopping myself this time.”

Walking over to the door, she had just barely opened it when a pair of royal guards stood at the rear. One was a unicorn mare, the other was a pegasus stallion. Their armor was freshly polished and ready to serve their Princess. Celestia smiled at the guards, but continued to walk; and the guards followed. The alicorn couldn’t help but hum a little, a little pep in her step as she trotted her merry way to the kitchens.

Upon arrival, she saw the kitchen staff were hard at work. A number of pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies. And while she tried to be sneaky, it didn’t take long for one of the staff to see her. This only caused a small chain reaction as the rest of the staff all but fell over each other as they stopped to see that the Princess had personally come to the kitchen. Thankfully, nopony was hurt as they all but crashed together.

“P-P-Princess?! What are you…” One of the cooks asked, looking around to the others. But then, clearing their throat, they continued. “I understand we’re behind in your breakfast. But don’t worry, we’ll be finished very soon.”

“Oh, there’s nothing to worry about.” Celestia said with a smile, levitating a cloth saddle bag over to her. “I was actually feeling like going out and doing some shopping for breakfast today.” The kitchen staff, along with the two guards beside her, gasped at her words, but she maintained her warm smile.

“P-Princess…” One of the guards commented, leaning in close to the alicorn. “Are you sure about this? We can simply pick up any food you desire for you.”

“No, no, I feel this is for the best.” Celestia replied, looking at the guards with a smile. “Besides, what manner of Princess would I be if I didn’t at least go out and see my subjects?” It was clear she wasn’t going to be persuaded out of this.

It was a beautiful day outside with no clouds in the sky, perfect weather for a brisk morning trot. The pegasi that flew through the air ensured this superior display in the sky. Celestia couldn’t help but smile at the glowing radiance of this day. Even with her two guards at her sides, she walked along the streets with an air of warmth, kindness, and confidence. But this didn’t stop many of the citizens of the city stopping to stare, or giving a respectful bow to their monarch.

“This is how a Princess should rule.” Celestia muttered quietly to herself. “Not from some cold throne with harsh eyes, but down here, on the street with her subjects.”

After a period of time walking, she eventually found what she was looking for; a fruit vender. The stallion at the stall was a strong looking unicorn, clearly some earth pony must be in his blood with how strong his muscles were. But the grace and care he used when he used magic to move and adjust the fruits in which he sold. It showed how serious he took his job, and that he was the one she would buy products from.

“Hello, and welcome to-” The stallion greeted, only to have his words trail off as soon as he saw who had come to him. “P-P-P-Princess Celestia?! W-w-what…” He cleared his throat, composing himself. “How can I help you today?”

“I was looking to make a special breakfast, and want to have some fresh fruits.” Celestia greeted the vendor. “What would you recommend?”

The vendor hesitated. The Princess, one of the four Royal mares, was asking him what he would suggest for her breakfast. His eyes quickly darted among his inventory. If he could provide the best possible service, not only would this satisfy the Princess, but the prestige of having done so would bring more and more business to him. Quickly, he gathered a number of different fruits, levitating them over towards the alicorn.

“Here we are, apples from the orchards of Ponyville. Mangos and Oranges grown in the gardens of Manehattan. Cherries and Grapes from vineyards all the way from Appleloosa.” The vendor commented, showing off his wares to the Princess. Celestia only looked on. “Oh, and these are something you would find fascinating.” Putting the other fruits to the side, he presented a pineapple. “A special, tropical pineapple from the southern sea islands close to Mount Aris.”

“My, my, that is a very expansive collection of wares you have.” Celestia smiled, which only caused the stallion to blush a little. “I’ll take them all.”

“Yes, yes, of course…of course. That’ll just be…” The merchant paused, realizing he was about to charge money to the Princess. But she didn’t seem to speak up, so perhaps this was okay. “T-t-thirty bits.”

“Sounds good.” Celestia nodded, opening her bag and levitated thirty coins to the counter. The vendor, a little wide eyed about it, quickly wrapped up what she wanted and handed them off to her. “Thank you very much. And have a lovely day.” With that, she placed the fruits in her basket and continued walking on.

Now that she had the fruits, the next thing Celestia needed was grains. Continuing to walk along the streets, she eventually found who she was looking for. It was a pegasus mare, currently getting large sacks of various grains on display. Some were open, showing off the various seeds available. While others were bundled up in stalks. This vendor was further away from her surroundings, noticing Celestia before she arrived.

“Princess Celestia?! So good to see a mare of your royal status out and about.” The mare greeted, bowing her head respectfully as she gestured with her hooves. “How can I help you? Are you interested in any of my grains today?”

“I am. I’m in need of some cereal grain, as well as flour.” Celestia replied, maintaining her kind smile. “So how much can I get for twenty bits?”

“Oh, let me gather what I can.” The mare responded, quickly grabbing a number of different grains and flours. After a few short moments, everything was presented. “Here you are, this is twenty bits worth.”

Celestia rummaged through her purse and pulled out the bits. Levitating the food over to her, she placed it in her basket. Smiling with a nod, she turned to leave. The mare smiled back, still shocked that the Princess herself would come to her stall. It was certainly an experience no vendor today was going to consider. But this was only the second stop on the alicorn’s list. The guards at her sides followed behind, not letting her out of their sights as she continued her shopping.

After her shopping, Celestia returned to the castle. Heading straight to the royal kitchens, she layed out all that she had purchased. Not only the fruits from the first stand, or the grains from the second stand, but other fruits such as bananas, kiwis, berries of many colors, as well as eggs and milk. It was enough food to feed half a dozen full grown ponies, and the alicorn seemed eager to get to cooking. Immediately, some of the cooks sheepishly approached her, but she playfulled waved her hoof at them.

“Oh, that won’t be necessary.” Celestia commented, looking at the kitchen staff. “You all do so much, and I’ve bought many ingredients. So I’m thinking of whipping up something special.” The staff were speechless, but they didn’t disobey. Though they did help by gathering all the kitchen equipment the Princess would need for cooking.

With the ingredients she got from the markets, Celestia began to prepare the batter for some pancakes. She levitated out a mixing bowl and set it on the counter. For the batter, she stirred the eggs, milk, and flour into the bowl. The magic that held the various tools and mixers caused the utensils to dance about, almost in a rhythmic pattern. All the while, Celestia hummed a sweet melody to herself. The kitchen staff had left the room by this point, not wanting to get in her way; but her two personal guards were given a full look at this performance.

With the batter all set, Celestia moved onto the next step. Levitating a massive skillet over to the stove, she smiled at what she was planning. Heating up the skillet, she added some butter to it, savoring the sweet sounds of the sizzling before pouring the batter in. Taking a moment, she brought a pair of smooth edged spatulas and kept a close eye on these cooking pancakes. The faint wisps of cooking steam wafted upwards, making the Princess smile as she was getting ready for the next step.

“Almost…just about…there!” Celestia commented, quickly using her magic to flick at the pancakes, flipping them and causing them to perfectly land back on the skillet. “There we go. Keep the flame steady, and keep them nice and fluffy.”

Repeatedly cooking and flipping the pancakes, the alicorn eventually finished them, arranging them all on a massive smooth countertop. Quickly, her magic gripped at the various fruits she had purchased, bringing them over to her. She decorated the stacks with whipped cream and some fruit. Content with the results, she seperate two of them, while leaving the rest in the kitchen.

“I’ll be dining with my sister.” Celestia said to the two guards, who were already starting to follow her. “By all means, please tell the kitchen staff to enjoy their pancakes. Oh! And be sure to enjoy yours.” The guards stared at her, shocked that she would even make food for them, but the look of the delicious breakfast was very enticing. “Princess’ orders.”

Arriving in the dining room, Celestia had just barely sat down at the table, getting the plates of fruit and whipped cream pancakes over when she noticed Princess Luna walking in. It was the end of her nightly duties, and while this was breakfast for Celesita, her sister was coming to enjoy her dinner. Letting out a small yawn, the lunar alicorn was flanked by her two personal guards, a pair of bat ponies who wore silver armor that contracted against the golden armor of the day guards.

"Good Morning, Celestia." Luna greeted as she appeared in the kitchen. “Looks like you did some shopping.”

“Morning, Luna. Just some nice food for breakfast, the merchant was very friendly." Celestia greeted as she placed the artisan pancakes on the wooden table. “So how was your dream walk, and how was your sleep?”

“Nothing much from my dream walk and I slept well.” Luna replied, as she took a slice of the pancakes. “What about you, sister?” Taking a bite, she let out a small sound. “Oh wow! They taste really good!”

“Thank you, and I slept fine. I did my duty of raising the sun, and I was at the market getting the essentials. The ponies I passed by were preparing for Hearts and Hooves Day.” Celestia said, as she did the same. “I saw some romantic partners spending time together at cafés. I wish we could still have our own lovers to go to.”

"Today is Hearts and Hooves Day?” Luna asked as she was eating her breakfast. “What does this holiday have to do with either of us?"

"Well, we're immortal, and we've seen Equestria grow throughout our lives. Isn't there something missing in both of us?" Celestia leaned back a bit and tapped the table a bit before resettling herself. "Twilight did write me asking the question that could change things."

"Really?" Luna replied, swallowing down some food before wiping her mouth with a napkin. “What did she ask you?

Celestia brought out the letter that Twilight had written to her. While she was using her magic, she moved the scroll to Luna, who opened it with curiosity. Certainly, Celestia did not say such things so frivolously. Luna was reading the letter of her sister's former pupil, who now held the title of Princess of Friendship. But this didn’t mean that she wasn't writing letters to her former mentor with all manner of questions. And while Celestia was happy to help, this particular situation was a little more unique. Humming a little to herself, she read the letter aloud.

Dear Princess Celestia,

I am sorry to bother you, but do you think there are any alicorn stallions in and around Equestria? Nopony talks about them and there are hardly any documents mentioning any of them. I'm curious about them and their abilities. I know that there are only alicorn mares like myself and Cadence. Could we talk about this matter?

Your faithful student,

Twilight Sparkle

“Wait…what?!” Luna said, shaking her head in disbelief. “She actually asked you that?” The mare could barely contain the obvious look of shock. “Oh my, she actually did.”

“Yes, she wrote that to me." Celestia commented, as she paused from her thoughts. Eventually her characteristic smile returned, if only briefly. "Should I tell Twilight the truth?” Luna’s face looked almost in shock at the question. “I know it’s been a long, long time since…since then. But she is an alicorn as well, and should know the truth.”

"Well, sister, since there’s nothing we could do, we have to." Luna said as she finished breakfast. “There would be more questions from her if we don't do that. So you should prepare for this conversation you plan on having with her.” She chuckled a little to herself. “You know how inquisitive Twilight can get when she learns something new. Remember when we showed her the restrictive section of the Library?”

"How could I forget, she was practically skipping from shelf to shelf, reading nearly a dozen books at once. But okay, I'm going to write her back. " Celestia said as she took out a sheet of paper and another quill to compose a new letter. “Let’s see…how to properly word this?” Taking a deep breath, she composed the letter.

Dear Twilight,

Thank you for your letter. That's something we should talk about sometime. Would you come to the palace tomorrow if you are available? This talk should only be between you, my sister, and myself. We will talk more about this after you arrive.

Your mentor,

Princess Celestia

“This should be enough.” Celestia commented, sighing a little. Using her magic, she rolled up the letter, tied it with her seal, and sent it to Twilight.. "I hope I am making the right decision…"
