The Adventure of the Mane 6 - The Complete Story
Episode 1 - The Porridge Party
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIt was a cold and gloomy day on The Island. The sky hung low with thick clouds, and a chill breeze blew across the beach. The Mane 6, along with a few friends, were feeling the nip of the cold weather. The usually lively and bright atmosphere of the island felt subdued, almost sleepy, under the weight of the overcast sky. Yet, amidst the gloom, a certain pink pony bounced along the beach, her enthusiasm undeterred by the dreary day.
Pinkie Pie was making her way to Twilight Sparkle's makeshift kitchen on the island. She hummed to herself, a cheerful tune that contrasted the weather.
"La la la la, la la la..." Pinkie sang as she bounced along, her curls bobbing with each hop.
At Twilight's side, the alicorn was already busy at work. She was stirring a small pot over a stove, adding two quaker oats and a splash of water. The warmth from the stove provided some comfort from the cold air.
Pinkie Pie appeared beside her in a flash. "Hi, Twilight" Pinkie chirped. "It's cold and gloomy."
Twilight nodded without looking up from the pot. "I know, Pinkie. That's why I'm making porridge."
Pinkie's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Yippee! Woo! Yippee!" she exclaimed, bouncing around Twilight as she prepared the porridge. "La la, la-la la la la... Woo! Yippee! La la la, la la la la... Porridge! Porridge! Is it ready yet, Twilight?"
Twilight smiled at her friend's enthusiasm but remained focused on her task. "Nearly, Pinkie. Mmm... Just a bit more stirring."
Pinkie Pie continued her merry dance, humming and bouncing as the scent of warm porridge filled the air.
Suddenly, Rainbow Dash swooped down from the sky, her wings creating a small gust of wind that ruffled Pinkie’s mane. "Yo, Pinkie! What's up?" Rainbow asked, landing gracefully beside her.
"Hello, Rainbow Dash. I'm waiting for porridge," Pinkie replied, bouncing in place. "Porridge, porridge, porridge!"
Her excitement was infectious, and soon Rainbow Dash found herself grinning. "Woo-hoo! Porridge, porridge!" Rainbow echoed, following Pinkie as she bounced over to where Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity were chatting.
On the beach, the group gathered around. "Porridge! Porridge! Porridge, porridge, porridge! I'm so hungry. I could eat...anything," Pinkie announced.
Applejack chuckled. "Oh, Pinkie, you're hilarious."
Fluttershy giggled softly. "Oh, that was great, Pinkie."
Rarity nodded, her usual elegance intact despite the chilly weather. "Absolutely, darling."
As they chatted, Twilight suddenly teleported in front of Pinkie with a spoonful of porridge for a taste test. "Do you think this is about right?" Twilight asked, offering the spoon.
Pinkie took a big slurp. "Yum! Yum! Yum!" she exclaimed, licking her lips. "Yes!"
With the porridge ready, everypony trotted over to the table, eager to dig in. But before they could sit down, Rainbow Dash dashed ahead to claim the best seat.
"Woah, wait for me, guys!" Rainbow called out, plopping into a chair just in time. "Phew, I made it!"
Applejack, however, nudged Rainbow to a different seat beside her. "Not anymore, ha!" Applejack teased, making herself comfortable.
Rainbow pouted slightly. "Nevermind, but I'll get it next time."
The group settled in, each with a steaming bowl of porridge in front of them. As they began to eat, a chorus of satisfied hums filled the air.
"Mmm! Mmm!" they all said in unison. The porridge was delicious, warm, and hearty, just the thing they needed to chase away the cold.
Twilight Sparkle, pleased with the result, sighed contentedly. She couldn't think of one bad thing about porridge. "Twilight," Pinkie Pie piped up between bites, "if we could make enough porridge today, we could eat it every day without having to wait."
Rainbow Dash, her mouth full, nodded eagerly. "Mmm! That porridge tastes awesome."
Twilight thought for a moment. "That is an idea. I've got rather a lot of spare bowls. We could fill them all up with porridge."
Rainbow grinned. "Great idea, Twilight."
Twilight glanced at the small pot she had been using. "I think we'll need a bigger pot."
Pinkie Pie, always ready for a challenge, jumped up. "Yes!"
Rainbow Dash darted off and returned with an enormous pot. "Here's the pot!" she declared proudly.
Twilight’s eyes widened. "That IS a big pot." She nodded in approval. "Right, how to make a lot of porridge. Put in all the porridge from the box, and from any other spare boxes, quite a lot of water, and two spoons."
Rainbow handed over the ingredients. "Here you go."
"Yay!" Pinkie cheered as Twilight added everything into the pot.
"Thank you, Rainbow," Twilight said with a smile as she started cooking.
As Twilight, Pinkie, and Rainbow began preparing the enormous batch of porridge, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity huddled together nearby.
Rarity looked over at the trio with a curious expression. "So, what's the idea?"
Fluttershy answered softly. "Well, I think Twilight, Pinkie, and Rainbow are making a porridge party, right, Applejack?"
Applejack nodded. "Well, sugarcube, this is gonna be a bit messy, but it’ll be good though."
Pinkie called over her shoulder. "Nearly ready, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity."
Fluttershy gave a hesitant smile. "Um, okay."
As the porridge in the giant pot continued to cook, the bubbling grew stronger and stronger.
"Woo-hoo!" Pinkie Pie cheered as the smell of fresh porridge wafted through the air.
Twilight added the finishing touches. "Here it comes!"
Rainbow Dash, quick on her hooves, got the bowls ready. "Whoa, sweet! Let’s start off with the table."
They filled bowl after bowl with porridge, but soon, the table was full.
"Okay, now the floor," Rainbow suggested.
But it wasn’t long before the floor was covered too.
"Um, guys, we’ve got no more room on the floor," Rainbow pointed out.
Pinkie Pie, ever the optimist, giggled. "It’s all right. We can put them outside!"
And so, the group began placing bowls of porridge all around the island. Pinkie Pie almost crashed into Rainbow Dash as she zoomed around.
"Pinkie! Watch out!" Rainbow warned, narrowly avoiding a collision.
"Oops!" Pinkie giggled. "Sorry!"
Despite the near miss, they both continued to distribute the porridge across the island.
Eventually, Pinkie Pie returned to Twilight with an old box. "Put some in this old box," she suggested.
Twilight obliged. "Porridge."
Rainbow Dash handed over an old boot. "And don’t forget to put porridge in this boot." She grinned as Twilight filled the boot. "Thanks, Twilight."
Rainbow flew off to place more bowls, while Twilight continued stirring and filling containers with porridge.
Back at the beach, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were almost done. Rainbow started counting the last few bowls. "97, 98, 99, and 100! Pinkie, I think we’re done."
Pinkie nodded in agreement. "I think we’ve got enough porridge now, Twilight."
Applejack looked over at the massive collection of bowls. "If this works, then the porridge party will be ready to go!"
Just as they were about to celebrate, a loud splodge echoed through the island as a massive pile of porridge came crashing down on them.
"Or not," Applejack said dryly, shaking porridge from her hat.
Rarity panicked as the sticky porridge splattered all over her mane. "Not the hair! THE HAIR!"
Fluttershy, wiping porridge from her face, smiled sheepishly. "I think we have enough porridge on this island as well."
Rarity sighed. "Same."
Applejack nodded. "Same here."
Meanwhile, Twilight was still making a mess, completely absorbed in stirring more porridge. Pinkie and Rainbow Dash watched her, their patience wearing thin.
"You can stop stirring now, Twilight," Pinkie finally said.
Twilight blinked, looking up from the pot. "What?" She glanced around at the porridge-covered island. "Oh, yes. Good idea." She slid down from her spot, taking a step back to admire the massive quantity of porridge they had created. "Oh! Ooh! Well, what a lot of porridge!"
Rainbow Dash gazed at the towering porridge pile, her eyes sparkling. "That. Was. Awesome."
Pinkie Pie was bouncing again. "Woo-hoo! We’d better have a porridge party! Woo-hoo!"
In her excitement, Pinkie tossed a bowl of porridge into the air. It flew high and landed with a splat on Vinyl Scratch’s DJ desk nearby, right as she was setting up for some music.
The music screeched to a halt. Vinyl Scratch, unfazed, took a bite of the porridge that had landed on her equipment, and then, with a grin, blasted an air horn to signal the start of the party. The speakers erupted with house music, and the beach transformed into a dance floor.
"Woo-hoo! Wee!" Pinkie Pie cheered, spinning around in time with the music.
Twilight couldn’t resist the rhythm either. "Woo-hoo!" she shouted, dancing next to the giant porridge pile.
Rainbow Dash, always up for some fun, made a porridge circle on the ground and started rolling around in it. "Woo-hoo-hoo!" she shouted, laughing as she spun in circles. "This is 20% cooler!"
As the music pumped and the party continued, the fun reached its peak when Rainbow Dash lost control of her porridge rolling and crashed into the giant porridge mound, sending porridge flying everywhere. Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity were stuck in the porridge pile but couldn’t help but laugh at Rainbow’s antics.
Applejack spotted Rainbow Dash amid the porridge and chuckled. "Oh, there you are."
Rainbow grinned sheepishly. "Ha!"
Everypony gathered around Twilight, who was now sitting on top of the porridge pile.
"I think I might have had enough of porridge," Twilight admitted with a sigh. "There’s so much of it."
Pinkie Pie didn’t seem too bothered. "Oh, that’s all right. We can eat it tomorrow."
Twilight, however, had a thought. "I just realized—it will all be cold by tomorrow."
Pinkie’s eyes widened. "Well, in that case, we’ll have to eat it today!"
Fluttershy nodded in agreement. "Or find something else to do with it."
Pinkie clapped her hooves together. "Yay!"
Twilight then had another idea. "I know what will help us eat it. Honey!"
Pinkie’s face lit up. "Oh, yes! Yum! Yummy!"
The group trotted off to find the honey, leaving Rainbow Dash behind as she continued to have fun with her porridge.
"Anyway, I’m going to do some surfing with the porridge," Rainbow called out, catching a wave of porridge as she slid across the beach.
The others found the honey high up in a tree. "Where’s Rainbow Dash? She could reach it," Pinkie wondered aloud.
Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was still playing in the porridge, completely unaware of the group’s search for honey. "This...is...so...awesome!" she shouted, her voice echoing across the beach.
Twilight, realizing they were on their own, sighed. "I think we might have to get it ourselves."
Fluttershy, always the problem solver, suggested, "I know! How about we climb up together?"
Twilight nodded. "Good idea, Fluttershy!"
Applejack took the lead. "Okay, everypony, climb on!" she said, kneeling down as the others carefully climbed onto her back.
As they reached for the honey, Pinkie Pie teetered on top of the stack. "Yay!"
Twilight, holding onto the branch, glanced down nervously. "Ooh!"
Pinkie leaned forward, trying to get closer to the honey. "Woah!"
Fluttershy wobbled but managed to maintain her balance. Meanwhile, Rarity held on for dear life, trying to keep her mane out of the sticky mess.
Twilight, using her magic, shook the branch just enough to make the honey drip. As the honey finally started to pour, the group celebrated.
"Yes!" Pinkie cheered, her hoof reaching for the jar.
Fluttershy called out, "Woah, careful guys!"
With a final push, Pinkie grabbed the honey. "Oh! Got it!" she exclaimed, holding the jar triumphantly. She took a quick taste. "Mmm! I think we’ll want to eat the porridge once we mix it with this!"
The group cheered in agreement, but then, they realized their precarious position. "OK, can we...get down now?" Pinkie asked nervously.
Twilight looked around. "I don’t know. We seem to be stuck together."
Applejack’s eyes widened. "Oh no, we’re gonna wobble!"
Twilight panicked as the stack began to tilt. "Oh no! Oh no! This is not very good!"
The inevitable happened. Applejack lost her balance, and the whole stack wobbled dangerously.
"I’m starting to lose control!" Applejack shouted as they all swayed.
And then, they lost control.
The Mane 6 found themselves tumbling from the tree. "Ooh!" they yelped as they fell, crashing into the sand below.
Applejack tried to regain control. "Oh my goodness! Guys, whatever you do, don't tilt towards the water!"
At that moment, Derpy Hooves trotted up from the water. "What’s going on, guys?" she asked, her eyes wide with concern.
"Derpy, we’re stuck together!" Pinkie explained, trying to stay upright.
Derpy gasped. "Oh no!"
The stack tilted further, causing Twilight to scream in panic. Suddenly, Derpy found herself stuck on top of Pinkie's head
As the Mane 5 tilted further, Applejack's panic grew. "We're tilting!" she cried.
Rarity, her mane still sticky with porridge and honey, shrieked. "Oh my God! We're going to crash!"
Fluttershy whimpered. "Oh no, oh no, oh no!"
Derpy tried to help, but her clumsy nature got the better of her. "Look out!" she shouted as they all tumbled apart, with Derpy screamed into the water with a loud splash. along with the Mane 5 aswell.
Thankfully, they were free from the sticky situation. Derpy, ever helpful, used her bubbles to lift them all to the surface.
"There you go," Derpy said with a smile as the Mane 6 emerged from the water, now clean and porridge-free.
Twilight sighed in relief. "Ah, good."
Pinkie Pie grinned. "We’re not stuck together anymore."
Twilight looked back at the island, still covered in porridge. "But everything at home is still porridgey."
Pinkie Pie shrugged. "We could live in the sea with Derpy."
Twilight shook her head. "We might get cold."
Just then, they heard a loud snoring sound. The group followed the noise, curious about what could be making such a racket.
Pinkie Pie’s ears perked up. "What's that noise?"
The group trotted off to investigate. Applejack tipped her hat. "Well, thanks anyway, Derpy."
Derpy smiled. "You’re welcome! See you later!" she said, waving as she dives back into the water.
The Mane 6 continued towards the source of the snoring until they found Rainbow Dash, fast asleep on the beach.
The porridge was gone. Every last drop had disappeared, and all that remained was a single boot with a bit of porridge in it.
Twilight stared at the empty bowls and then back at Rainbow Dash. "Where can it all have gone?"
Pinkie Pie giggled. "I think I know."
Twilight raised an eyebrow. "What?"
Pinkie pointed to Rainbow Dash. "Hello, Rainbow Dash."
Rainbow, still asleep, let out a loud burp, and the whole gang burst into laughter.
"Clever old Rainbow Dash! She’s eaten it all!" Twilight chuckled.
Rainbow Dash continued to snore, oblivious to the world around her, as the others laughed and shook their heads.
As the sun began to set, the beach was filled with the sound of waves crashing gently against the shore. The Mane 6, exhausted from their porridge adventure, lay down on the sand to rest.
"That was an adventure, Pinkie," Twilight said with a contented sigh.
Pinkie Pie nodded. "Yes. It was."
As they all drifted off to sleep, Twilight thought aloud. "I think I might like toast tomorrow."
The others mumbled in agreement, already half-asleep.
"Me too" they echoed.
Twilight chuckled softly. "Ho-ho-ho!" she laughed as she continued tidying up, the only one still awake.
And so, the day ended, with the island quiet once more, except for the gentle sound of the waves and the soft snores of Rainbow Dash. The Porridge Party was over, but the memories of their sticky, sweet adventure would stay with them forever.
