Doctor Whooves and the Eye of Discord
The Call From a Princess
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThe sister princesses stood by the statue. The freshly made statue of Discord.
He had been laughing when the two had used the Elements of Harmony on him. He was frozen in his laughing pose.
The chaos that had covered all of Equestria began to recede. The world became normal again.
“So,” Celestia started, “is that it?”
“It would seem so,” Luna answered. “All of the chaos that covered Equestria seems to be gone now.”
A stallion walked behind them. He wore a hat, jacket, and a multicolored scarf. He had a very curly mane, an hourglass cutimark, and seemed to be middle aged. On his face were a pair of what looked to be 3D glasses. He spoke. “I wish it were that easy but look.”
He pointed to a small object on the ground. Most people would assume it was just a pebble on the ground. However, upon further inspection, it had the distinct shape and look of an eyeball. The pupil of the eye seemed to be a button.
“What is it, Doctor?” Celestia asked.
The Doctor looked down at it and carefully picked it up. “Well,” the Doctor began, “when the elements were used, Discord was stored in that statue, but what about the magic?”
“Would it not just disappear?” Luna asked.
The Doctor laughed. “Ah, but where would it disappear to? Even if it disappears, it would have to go somewhere. I believe this little eyeball is what the chaos magic is stored in.”
“That little thing?” Celestia asked “How could it hold so much?”
“That’s the thing about aliens,” the Doctor said. “They never conform to the norms of other worlds. They could, say, store moments in their eyes.”
“Then we must destroy it!” Luna said resolutely. “If it stores the chaos magic, we must make sure it never is released!”
“Well, that would be counterintuitive,” the Doctor stated. “If we destroy this ‘Eye of Discord’ it could release the chaos magic back into the world again.”
“Then what do we do with it?” Celestia asked. “How do we know it won’t be destroyed and bring back all of the chaos again.”
“I’ll take it,” the Doctor said. “I’ll find a place to store it on my home planet, Gallopfrey. Of course, I’ll have to find somewhere the rest of the Time Lords can’t find it, but I’m sure I can.”
“Thank you, Doctor,” Celestia said. “If it weren’t for you, we’d never find the Tree of Harmony, and now here you are doing this. How can we ever repay you?”
“Oh, don’t worry,” The Doctor replied. “All I asked is that you remember to govern your people well. I’ve seen too many nations fall from not caring about the people that live in it.”
Both sisters nodded. “We promise,” Celestia answered.
The Doctor smiled. “That’s what I like to hear.” He then turned to his ship, the Tardis. “Well, I suppose I should find a place to hide this. I’m sure we’ll meet again.”
“Goodbye Doctor!” The sister princesses shouted as they waved at him. They stared at the Tardis until the engines roared and it disappeared.
“I hope we see that stallion again,” Celestia said. “His knowledge might even rival Starswirl’s.”
Luna chuckled. “Don’t let him know that or he’ll go hunting down the Doctor looking for a duel of wits.” Both sisters chucked as they walked away.

The Doctor woke from a dream. No, it was more like reliving a memory.
He had woken up, decades after this memory, in his tenth form. He had spikey hair, a collar, a tannish coat, and his signature hourglass cutiematrk.
He had just recently fixed his Tardis back to the point where it could travel through time and space once more. Just a week ago, he and his companion had stopped an army of Cybermares. However, after his first time travel adventure after a few years, he was exhausted. He was plagued with dreams of his past. Specifically, he was plagued with the memory of the Moment.
The Doctor shook his head and simply walked around the Tardis, going through his morning routine. He thought of what adventures he could do today. Share a muffin with Derpy? Get more apples for the Tardis? Maybe finally take Rose on an adventure through time on the Tardis.
The Doctor continued to ponder what he would do before he heard a knock on the door. He opened the Tardis’ door but saw nopony. He looked around until he heard a boyish, “Hello?”
The Doctor looked down and saw Spike the Dragon, Twilight Sparkle’s loyal assistant. “Hello there,” the Doctor said, looking down at the young dragon.
“Hi,” the dragon said. “I’m Spike, nice to meet you!” Spike put out a claw for a hoof shake which the Doctor accepted.
“And you as well my scaley friend,” the Doctor said. “Now, what can I do you for?”
“Oh yeah!” Spike said. Reaching behind his back, Spike pulled out a piece of parchment that was tied in a red ribbon. “Princess Celestia has summoned you.”
The Doctor tilted his head. “Why?” He chuckled. “Did I break some law?”
Spike giggled back. “Not that I know of. The letter just says that she wanted to talk to you about some eye.”
“An eye?” The Doctor said. “May I see the paper?”
“Of course!” Spike said. He handed the parchment over to the Doctor.
The Doctor opened it and read the contents.
“Dear my loyal subject, Spike.
“Please tell the Doctor to meet me in Canterlot to discuss an important matter. I cannot disclose much of it but inform him it concerns the Eye of Discord. The Doctor resides inside of a large blue box in Ponyville.
“Thank you very much. With regards, Princess Celestia.”
The Doctor looked up from the paper with a shocked face. “The Eye of Discord?” he said.
“Thats it,” Spike said. “I wonder what’s so important about Discord’s eye. Anyway, I better go. I’ve got a new Ogres and Oubliettes book that I’ve been dying to read.” He thought to himself for a moment and laughed. “Now I’m starting to sound like Twilight. Anyway, see ya!”
The Doctor watched as Spike strolled away from the Tardis. He looked back at the letter and reread it. “It can’t be a coincidence,” the Doctor thought, “that after all of these dreams, Celestia wanted to discuss the eye. They must have some connection.”
The Doctor ran to the controls of the Tardis and began the engine which started to roar.
“Canterlot, here we come!”
Author's Note
Hey, been a while. I'm gonna try to post more often. I hope you guys like this story. Just so anypony reading that likes Doctor Who is wondering, the Eye of Discord in the story is the "Moment" from Doctor Who. I read that it's another name for it and ran with the idea. It'll be more clear when the rest of the story comes out, but I just put this here in case it wasn't obvious enough.
