Tears streamed down Discord’s face. He looked at the Doctor and didn’t know what to feel.

The Doctor walked over and put a hoof on the weeping draconequus. He understood the pain of losing all of the people of your species. Even though the extermination of the draconequus was several hundred years ago, the Doctor understood that to Discord this was a new sense of grief that the lord of chaos was going through.

Screwball stood there too. She had taken in what the Doctor had said. While she wasn’t draconequus, she still felt the pain of Skaro’s story being a creation of the chaos magic herself.

“Why...” Discord started. “Why did they all want to kill me?”

The Doctor sighed. “They were brainwashed by Davros. Whatever he wanted done, they’d do it. And because you didn’t obey his commands...” The Doctor’s words trailed off.

“And the Dalek...” Discord started to say. “You said they all died.”

The Doctor nodded. “The eye killed more than just the Timelords. It wiped the Daleks out too.”

Discord nodded. “Then they’re all dead. We’re the only ones left.”

The Doctor gave a small laugh. “The last survivors.” Small tears started to fall from his eyes too.

At that moment, both the Doctor and Discord felt something around them. It was hooves. They looked to their sides and saw Screwball there hugging them both, the Eye of Discord still in her hoof.

They stood there for a minute. All of them just stood still in the embrace, tear stains on each of their faces.

The Doctor was the first to break out of the embrace. He looked at Discord and Screwball as they stood like stone together.

Discord then stood up further and looked at Screwball. He examined everything about her, seeing that he truly had created this chaotic mare. She was a beautiful creation.

“I understand now Doctor,” Discord said. “I understand why you didn’t just want to take the eye from her. She really is alive. Alive and well.”

The Doctor smiled at this true reunion of father and daughter.

Discord’s face became more serious. “What do we have to do to keep her and the eye safe?”

The Doctor’s face did the same. “Ah, now there’s question, isn’t it? We can’t take the eye away from her, but we have to make sure she can’t accidentally set it off.”

“I’ll be super careful!” Screwball pleaded.

The Doctor sighed. “I’m afraid that’s not enough.”

“If only we could attach it to her somehow,” Discord said.

The Doctor thought. His face lit up. “Maybe we can!” The Doctor started trotting away. “I just need to get to my Tardis an-” Before he could finish his sentence, he slammed headfirst into the Tardis. Discord had seemed to snap his fingers while he was running and summoned it in front of him. In that moment, the Doctor was very happy he hadn’t made the outside chaos proof like the inside.

The Doctor ran inside and rummaged through several chests until he found the bottle. He bolted out and presented the liquid inside.

“This is azbantium!” the Doctor presented. “It the hardest thing in the universe being 400 times harder than diamonds.” He then poured a shiny liquid into his hooves and moved it around. “And I have a special version of it.”

He pulled out his Sonic Screwdriver and pointed it at the liquid. Instantly, it hardened and became a solid stone. “This was originally used by a galaxy police force to make hoofcuffs that hardened around a creature's hooves. I was able to snag a small amount of it. If we surround the Eye of Discord with it and attach it to you, the radiation from the eye should still come off the eye and stabilize your form and leave no way to set off the eye. How does that sound?”

Screwball’s eyes lit up. “That sounds wonderful!”

“Great!” the Doctor said. “So where would you like the eye to go? On your arm? On your back?”

“Can I wear it like a necklace?” Screwball asked.

“I don’t see why not,” the Doctor responded. “Discord, hold the eye in place while I put the azbantium on.”

Discord complied and put the eye near the bottom of Screwball’s neck so it was still touching her. The Doctor began pouring the metal liquid around her neck. He worked his way down until he got to the bottom of her neck. He covered the eye with the liquid and grabbed his Sonic Screwdriver. He pointed the screwdriver at the liquid before it could run off and it solidified.

Discord took his hand away and looked at Screwball. Despite the eye not being in her hoof, she didn’t disappear. Discord picked Screwball up and embraced his daughter in a hug.

After a moment, the two separated and both looked back to the Doctor. “What now Doctor?” Discord asked.

“Well, I’d say our mission is complete. We were able to secure the eye, I don’t see any reason why we need stay here.” The Doctor looked at Screwball. “Now then, the only thing we need to figure out is what we do with you.”
