Its Not Order

1. Return

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Anon looked longingly at the facade of Canterlot High School as they prepared to return to Equestria.

That was never your home

It had been a few years since they met their opposite version and merged with them, becoming a unique being.

Another lie, you are alone. There's no other you.

Now, as he walked through the familiar halls of the school in search of the address, feeling the soft murmur of the classrooms around him.
The bell rang, marking the end of class time and the beginning of lunch. Students filed out of the classrooms, some of them recognizing Anon and one approaching them curiously.

"Senior Director Anon! What are you doing here?"

"Calm your curiosity, Pinkie. And just call me Anon, I don't like formalities."

"I'm sorry, Sir... I mean, Anon. It's rare to see you around here, considering you're also in charge of the Crystal and Dragon Academies. We usually see you managing those schools."

" I'm not that absent, Pinkie. Just running multiple schools at once can be tricky."

" I guess so."

"You haven't organized any parties recently at the cafe, have you?"

Pinkie smiled nervously at Anon's question, and a voice behind him answered.

"I assure you she hasn't done so since you last saw us, Sir."

Anon turned around to find a person who looked a lot like a human, with yellowish skin and pink hair.

"I'm glad to hear that, Fluttershy. I don't know what I would do if I had to organize a food fight with inedible decorations again. That one was a disaster."

Everyone laughed remembering the event.

"Well, Professor, I have to take Pinkie with me. Rarity and Applejack are waiting for us."

Anon nodded in understanding as Fluttershy led Pinkie away. In the middle of their conversation, Anon managed to hear a question and a muffled answer.

"Is Applejack going to confess?" Pinkie asked.

"No, but I'm working on it. They are so obvious with each other that only they don't see it..."

Anon didn't have time to hear anything else as he began to walk away towards the principal's office. He greeted other students and teachers, including the PE teacher, Chrysalis, who seemed to have some interest on them.

Anon knew he was attractive for this world standards, but he didn't understand why he was causing such a stir. He had white hair due to his albinism, a trait he didn't possess in Equestria. In addition, he had heterochromia in his irises.

Although they could change the color of their left eye, they rarely did so so as not to scare people. His body was well-trained; after all, why not stay fit if you were immortal? They had a few battle scars that told stories of their adventures.

He knocked softly on the door of the address, and a voice from inside answered, "I'm coming." The door opened, revealing Luna.

Luna ran to Anon and hugged him tightly.

"Uncle Anon!"

Anon accepted the hug warmly and balanced himself against Luna's weight on top of him.

"Nice to see you again, Luna."

At that moment, Celestia arrived at the door.

"Luna, what's wrong?" she asked from inside.

"Flameball, come here. Uncle Anon is back!"

Anon looked at Luna for an explanation, and she shrugged into his lap.

"Remind me why I taught you that nickname for your sister?"

"You know why."

Anon rolled his eyes at Luna's response and started laughing.

You wish it had been like that...

Celestia, who had caught on to Anon's dramatics from the start, also laughed.

"It's okay, Luna, I was just joking. You're right though, because I came with a specific reason."

Celestia calmed down and asked:

"Which is it?"

"Well, you see, due to certain business matters, I have to leave the country. You may not hear from me for a while, but I will try to get back to you as soon as possible."

" Where are you going?"

"I have to go to Jamaica, and due to certain background checks, I may not be allowed to make calls."

"What happened?"

" It's a long story, maybe I'll tell you later, but not now. What do you want me to bring you?"

"I want the rarest flower you can find, obviously one that isn't poisonous."

"I want a lion cub!"

"You know that animal trafficking is illegal, right?"

Luna pouted.

"Then I'll settle for a lion's fang, but let it be a natural drop, please. I don't want any products from poachers." She wrinkled her nose as she added the last bit.

"Sure, Luna. But that doesn't mean I won't leave you gifts."

Both princesses' faces lit up as Anon searched through his backpack for their gifts.

He took out a mask and offered it to Luna.

"Luna, always so cheerful and playful, I'm giving you this mask. It's an antique, and before you say anything, I've restored it so you can wear it. A part of Loki's own power is supposed to reside in it, so be careful. Unless you want to wear it just for Halloween, of course. Also, if you ever get bored of it, keep in mind that it's worth around 10 million euros."

Both of them widened their eyes in surprise at the exorbitant price, and Anon continued to take out a golden bracelet for Celestia.

"Celestia, I offer you the Sun Bracelet, given by the god Ra to the most beautiful woman in Egypt in her time. It is said to grant clarity in decision making and shine even on the darkest of days. I offer it to you in recognition of your great responsibility and your ability to guide others. Furthermore, it is made of gold."

Celestia hesitated for a moment, but finally put the bracelet on while Luna carefully caressed the mask.

"Gee! Thanks, Y/N. It's very valuable to us though..." tried to say Luna

"Have you ever bothered to check how much your inheritance is?"

They both shook their heads.

"You should."

After a warm farewell, Anon left the office, and as they took one last look at the school he had so lovingly helped build, he remembered that they had forgotten about Sunset Shimmer, another Equestrian native. They brushed it off, though, trusting that someone else would take care of her.

( Skip time)

Anon returned at night. With control of his power, he gave herself a few minutes to enter the portal. Time was pressing.

Anon disappeared through the portal, leaving behind the school and their nieces, Princesses Celestia and Luna, with gifts and fond memories.

They knew his absence wouldn't be permanent, but still, he was filled with nostalgia. Then, with the cold night air brushing through his long, wild hair, he stepped into the portal, returning to Equestria.

Shit he had forgotten about the sirens

Wait, what was that feeling.. it's new but also was changing while traveling the portal they wondered what it was-

The void between worlds is filling...

After the first ten times traveling between worlds, you get used to the twitch that comes with traveling each time. Anonlet themselves be carried through the portal with ease like an expert, without experiencing the slightest dizziness. They had mastered the art of interdimensionality, and each trip was as fluid as passing through a door.

Sensing that he was nearing the end of the road, Anon gathered himself mentally and emerged from the other side of the portal with the same serenity with which one enters into a conversation. Magical power flowed through him, revitalizing him in a way he hadn’t felt in a long time. It was as if each trip granted him a new burst of energy, and now, he felt full of vitality and a craving for fun.

They looked around at his surroundings. He was back in Equestria, the world he had known for so long. While traveling to other worlds was exciting, he always felt a special bond with this place.

Something was different, though. They noticed that the presence of guards in the area was more intense than they remembered. Someone was taking extra precautions. A mischievous smile formed on their lips as they considered the possibilities. The idea of causing a little chaos and fun seemed tempting.

They expanded their mind, scanning their surroundings for any useful information. He discovered that Celestia was not in the castle, which was an unusual occurrence, and that there were far more guards than he expected. Furthermore, his energy was not enough to perform a large-scale teleportation at the moment. He had to be subtle and patient.

An idea began to form in his mind, a Machiavellian idea that promised fun and disorder. Two guards were chatting carefree in the castle hallway, a perfect scene for his plan.

"So when are you going to ask her out?"

"I don't know, buddy. What if she rejects me?"

"You're amazing, comrade. No one would reject you!"

The guards' conversation made him smile internally. It was the perfect time to start his prank.

"Wait, are you talking to me about your sister?" said one of the guards

Suddenly, an injured unicorn came running out of nowhere, with scratches and a furious look on its face. The change was swift and surprising.

" Cadets!" the superior shouted

Both guards stood to attention and performed the standard salute upon seeing one of their superiors.

"Yes, Captain!"

"A monster is attacking the castle!" the eldest informed "Raise your weapons and join the others, warn whoever you can. Protocol 3bw. Understood?!"

" Yes, sir!" they spoke together.

"Sir, if I may ask, what kind of monster..."

Suddenly, a giant shadow crashed at the end of the hallway, sending a few ponies flying with stunning spells.

"GIANT COCKROACH!"

The fabric is torn...

" Ģ̴̖̳̻̩͛͋I̶̧̲̬̣͒͘͘Ả̴͖̍͋̍̎̽̎̇̕͘Ṇ̶̨̨̤͍͚̓̅̚Ť̸̟̰̱̝̯̙̓̀͐̏ spider!!!"

The cadet guard blinked, he was sure that stud had said something completely different a second ago. He didn't have time to think when he saw what was looming in the hallway.

It was a giant spider, a creature that few people could face without fear. Anon laughed internally as they watched the spider wreak havoc on the castle.

Sorry arachnophobes

The two guards wasted no time and bravely charged into the fight with the others. The spider wreaked havoc, attacking anyone who moved, and the castle was filled with screams and chaos.

The "senior guard" took advantage of the confusion to calmly leave the castle. When he was at a safe distance, he transformed into a pegasus and took flight. He knew he had created a massive distraction, and it was time to get away from the place before he was caught.

Once in the air, they looked out at the chaos they had unleashed on the castle. The magical explosions, the guards running in all directions, and the screams of panic were music to their ears. They had had many adventures over the years, but few had provided them with such pure satisfaction as this one.

It was time to fade into the shadows and let Equestria deal with its own spider problem. With a sonic boom, they flew off into the horizon, laughing as they did so.

Of course, he wouldn't leave without leaving a little surprise. With a wave of his hand, he released a small firework that exploded in the night sky, creating a light show that illuminated the night and attracted even more attention from the residents of Canterlot.

The chaos in Canterlot Castle continued as Anon sped away, laughing internally. They had caused enough fun for one day, and now it was time to investigate what had happened in Equestria during their absence.

Meanwhile, in another part of the world...

"Are you sure you don't want help, Twilight?"

In the tree house was Twilight organizing the preparations entrusted to her for the next Summer Sun festival, along with the other Elements of Harmony and Spike, who as always, was drooling over Rarity.

"Yes, I'm sure. The princesses commissioned this to me, so I must finish it by myself."

"But, Sweetie, remember that you are a princess too now." Rarity said "You should relax and enjoy the comforts of being one."

As she finished her sentence, Spike burped out a scroll and handed it to Twilight, who began to read it. As she read further, her eyes grew wider and wider, and suddenly, her brow furrowed deeply. She slowly lowered the scroll and looked at Fluttershy with a puzzled expression.

"Fluttershy, can you call Discord, please?"

"What's wrong, sugar cube? " asked Applejack.

" This is a scroll from the Princess about an incident at the castle, and I need to ask Discord some questions."

Fluttershy, meanwhile, was rummaging through her mane until she pulled out a crystal whistle.

"Here it is. Discord gave me this in case I needed to call him and he wasn't around."

Fluttershy softly blew the whistle, and for a few seconds, nothing happened. Then, like an act of magic, Discord appeared in the room, holding a control in his hand that read: "IF YOU WANT TO CALL DISCORD, LORD OF CHAOS, PRESS HERE."

Twilight, with her usual lack of patience, grabbed the controller and pressed the button without even reading what it said. However, the text changed and now read, "IF IT'S THE BITTER ELEMENT OF MAGIC, IT MUST SAY 'DISCORD IS AMAZING'. PLEASE :)". Twilight whispered what was asked of her, but the text changed again: "Louder." She did it louder. "Louder." Twilight finally shouted:

"DISCORD IS AMAZING!"

Finally, Discord, the beloved draconequus, appeared in the room and looked at Twilight with a mischievous smile.

"It wasn't that hard, was it?"

Twilight just snorted and got straight to the point, showing him the scroll.

"Is this your work?"

"I'm offended that you would think that of me, my dear. I would never..."

The Lord of Chaos found himself in a completely unknown black void, a soft white light without origin illuminated the place.

A soft cry sounded behind him.

The chimera contorted his body to turn around and saw in the distance a naked body that was in a fetal position with its back to him.

He began to walk on all fours towards the figure, he didn't fly away because somehow that felt wrong.

This whole place felt wrong.

That it was all his fault.

He was just a few steps away from the figure, his black claws caressing the air around the object of his desire...

He was back.

The black void was gone and now the scent of wood he hadn't noticed until now returned to his nostrils. Twilight's dragon had changed and was now taller than her, almost reaching his own chest at normal height.

Discord took a closer look at the scroll and snatched it from Twilight's hands, beginning to examine it closely. Ignoring what had just happened to him, the Elements grew restless at Discord's sudden seriousness.

"This isn't my work. There's not a shred of chaos magic in it, and if it had been me, I'd have probably made him spit pink slime instead of making everyone dance. That's not my style."

"So if it wasn't you, who was it?"

Discord shrugged, but deep down, he had an idea of who it could have been. And what this place was. He handed the scroll to Twilight and felt the need to retreat to meditate on this.

"If you don't mind, I'll make a copy of that scroll." Without asking permission, he used his magic to make a copy "By the way, I would advise you to investigate the "Grogar Defeator"."

Readying his fingers to return to his personal dimension, Discord disappeared with a snap. The Elements eyed him suspiciously as he left.

"We can never have a quiet week, right?"
