Midnight and Friends

by WiltedBloom2013
A dream that lead to death, a treasure that lead to obsess, and a curse that is a blessing... with time magic and pure luck on their sides!

Chattering. A noise common in Changeling hives. Clashing. A noise often heard when sword clash during battles. And both were sounds Midnight, the self-proclaimed Equestrian Last Resort, were very familiar with. He watched the Canterlot wedding, knowing that Chrysalis was pretending to be Cadence. He watched as the Changelings stole the ponies away and replaced them. And he watch as Chrysalis tried to win with the power of Gorgar's bell and the power of two other beings. And he didn't fight unless Chrysalis was alone. But she never was... except once.

Rolling. The sound of a stone trap in a long forgotten temple. Flapping. The noises of a pegasus' wings as they fly or hover. Flighty knew she triggered a trap, her treasure hunting always got her in danger but with Midnight as a best friend, she knew how to effectively escape from traps like this from ancient cilivizations that wanted their treasures super safe. Not safe enough to escape Flighty. Her little doll buddy in her mane that looks exactly like her best friend knowingly smiling as Flighty fleed from the ruins. One day.

The moon shines a positive light on all bat ponies, but one was gifted with the "Curse of the Moon". This one was Dusk. The Curse of the Moon manifests as a small grey marking under the pony's eye as Dusk knew both the powers and disadvantages of this "curse". With how rarely the curse is gifted, many assume it to be a sign that Bat Ponies were either going to vanish or become the dominate race... but Dusk didn't want either option so he ran off.
