Bethesda had faced many challenges over the last decade and a half.

But now they face a very… unique problem.

Their owner is a horse.

With Elder Scrolls IV having been pushed back yet again Microsoft sold the company to the co-ruler of the extra-dimensional land of Equestria.

Princess Luna.

In exchange for half a billion bits (two and a half billion dollars) the Princess of the Night, otherwise known as the Princess of Gamers became the sole owner of Bethesda which had separated from its parent company in the process.

Now the Princess seeks to bring about a new golden age for the company. To do this she had enlisted the help of the Main Six, Equestria’s for most experts in problem fixing.

Not that many of them were very enthusiastic about the idea.

“With all due respect Princess Luna, we don’t know anything about making video games. How could we possibly help?” Twilight asked.

While being able to visit the human world and learn everything she could about it naturally excited the Princess of Nerds Friendship more than the idea of Big Mac covered in sweat and olive oil (don’t judge her all AJ’s friends get excited at that) she knew squat about video games.

“Fear not friends, we have faith in your abilities to aid in our open world rpg making plans” Luna stated, her voice dripping with royal confidence.

The Main Six looked at each other, first with doubt but eventually the former genocidal maniac’s confidence became infectious.

“Alright Princess, we’ll do our best” Rainbow said with the usual cockiness she was known for.

“Good, now we have delegated various tasks that we believe suit each of you. Applejack and Rainbow Dash, you shall work on Fallout 5, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity, you shall work on Elder Scrolls: Hammerfell-“ Luna said, being interrupted as she dished out tasks.

“Ooh ooh ooh! What about me! What about me!?” Pinkie said, raising her hoof high in the air.

“Pinkie don’t interrupt the princess” Rainbow whispered.

“You Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy have the most important of tasks” Luna continued, unphased by the interruption “emotional support ponies”

Upon hearing their jobs, both mares tilted their heads in confusion.

“We have observed that after the thirteenth hour of their sixteen hour shifts productivity among the coding serfs tends to decrease steadily” Luna explained.

With a unanimous jaw drop, the Mane Six looked with shocked expressions at the alicorn.

“What?” Luna asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Princess, we know you have been away for a long time and aren’t that up to date with labour laws-“ Twilight began.

“We know all about labour laws Twilight Sparkle, we are the law and the serfs are the labour. We are not just a pretty face” Luna interrupted.

“Yeah well that’s how it was Princess. But I run a farm and even I don’t work that many hours” Applejack explained.

“No wonder the Equestrian economy is in the gutter, recent generations don’t know the true virtue of hard work” Luna huffed.

Being unable to change the Princess of Boomer’s mind (and Twilight ripping part of her mane out trying to explain what a union was) the Mane Six got to work on Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5.

With the Mane Six going off to their various projects, Luna hosted a meeting with Todd Howard. Due to his years of experience as the former executive producer she had kept him on as an advisor.

“Tell me Sir Todd of Howard. Why did you release three separate “special editions” of Skyrim?” Luna asked, referencing the Special Edition, Legendary Edition and Anniversary. Not including the releases on separate consoles or VR.

“It just works” Todd Howard explained.

After hours of the Princess listening to the great wisdom of the game creator, the Main Six returned, the first two groups bringing a disk each while Pinkie and Fluttershy brought nothing.

Although Pinkie was dressed in a fur hat with a hammer and sickle badge on it.

“You’re done already? But Sir Todd of Howard took years to simply announce Elder Scrolls VI” Luna asked, surprised at the progress they made.

“Yep! Here you go Princess, two sequels way beyond 20% cooler then the last ones” Rainbow bragged.

“But how?” Luna asked.

“Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeh, the Magic of Friendship” Twilight explained.

“Seems legit” Todd nodded.

“Also apparently Bethesda got something called “Microsoft Money” before you bought it” Twilight continued.

“Well, we are pleased with your speed. May we see the gam-“ Luna began before Pinkie barged to the front of the group.

“Not so fast you capitalist dog!” The pink pony declared.

“Pinkie!”

“Sugar-cube don’t!”

“Don’t listen to them Pinks keep going!”

Despite her friends' efforts to stop her, Pinkie stepped forward to stand directly in front of Luna.

Standing twice the earth pony’s height, Luna loomed over Pinkie.

“Pinkamina, think very carefully about what you say next. I AM your Princess” Luna stated, the aura of authority surrounding her.

“I am Pinkamina no longer! I am Comrade Pinkie of the Bethesda Revolutionary Party! And I have demands from our members!” Pinkie stated, pulling out a sheet of paper from the parts of her mane that her fur hat failed to cover.

Slamming it on Luna’s desk Pinkie sat while the Princess began reading it.

  1. A 40 hour work week.

  2. Being paid in dollars instead of grains and sugar.

  3. Weekly head pats for fluffy ponies.

“These are outrageous! We will never submit to this nonsense!” Luna refused, slamming the paper back on the desk.

“Wait, is that why my desk is covered in ants?” Todd asked as he read over the alicorn’s shoulder.

“Not now Sir Todd of Howard!” Luna snapped.

“If these needs are not met we will strike until you bend the heel!” Pinkie threatened.

“Then we will find new serfs employees and fire those treasonous fools” Luna threatened.

She wouldn’t, but she’d make it look like she was going to in order to scare them into submission.

“Well if that’s how you wanna play it” Pinkie said, pulling out some photos and putting them on Luna’s desk.

The girls couldn’t see it, but they saw a look of horror on Luna’s face.

“Where did you get these!?” Luna gasped.

“Not important, if you do now meet our demands I will show these to Princess Celestia” Pinkie threatened, a sweet smile in her face.

Creating a meme worthy frown, Luna let out a long and heavy groan.

“Fine! We will let our employees become lazy and have to buy their own bread” Luna relented.

“Yay! Thank you Princess!” Pinkie thanked, a squeaking sound playing as she smiled.

“Yes yes, now let us test the games. Sir Todd, our royal gamer console” Luna said, eyes rolling as she did.

“Uuuuh, we don’t have a console. This is a business office” Todd Howard explained.

“Oh for buck sake why don’t you all just line up and rut me!” Luna snapped as the list of inconveniences started growing.

“Hey Pinkie, what was in those photos that had the Princess so scared?” Rainbow asked, whispering as the Princess of the Night ranted to Todd Howard.

“Pictures of her and Big Mac’s secret dates they go on each weekend” Pinkie whispered back.

“Wait what?” Applejack asked, overhearing their conversation.

AN: Loony can’t win can she? Still she got what we’ve waited years for due to the power of plot convenience.

Also the Mane Six (minus AJ) simp for Big Mac in this universe because I find it funny.
