Mellow Glow's Journal
Learning & Experimenting : Day - 02
Previous ChapterNext ChapterMellow Glow slowly opened her eyes to the warm embrace of the setting sun, the vibrant hues of the sky casting a soft glow over the landscape. She took a deep breath, filling her new lungs with the crisp, sweet air of Equestria. It was unlike anything she'd ever experienced, the scent of freshly bloomed flowers and the faint hint of oak trees wafting through the breeze. Her heart raced with excitement as she took in the beauty of her new world.
As she sat up, the grass beneath her shimmered in the light, each blade looking like a tiny thread of gold. She stretched out her new wings, feeling the nice breeze as they unfurled with a gentle Cold Air. The sensation was alien, yet comforting, like slipping into a favorite blanket on a cold night. She looked down at her hooves, still not quite used to the idea of them being part of her, and gave a little experimental tap on the ground.
The hill she'd landed on was more than just a patch of grass; it was a living tapestry of color, with wildflowers scattered across it like a painter's palette. The village of Ponyville lay in the valley below, the lights from the windows twinkling like stars. It looked so peaceful, so inviting. She couldn't wait to explore it all.
But first, she had to get a handle on these Abilities First including future Plans and creating their own Backstory. The pouch at her side was already a treasure trove of possibilities, and she had a feeling she'd be using it often. The thought of never having to worry about brushing her teeth again brought a smile to her lips. That was one less thing to stress over in this new life. And the analyze status window? That was going to be a game-changer.
With the last of the daylight guiding her, Mellow Glow began to practice her new skills. She focused on the Leaves and the 1 Wooded Block she took out of their Pouch, the knowledge flooding her mind like a rush of adrenaline. In no time at all, she had crafted a Journal with Enchantments, feeling a sense of pride in her creation. It was a small thing, but it was a start to write down everything she experience on their future Journey including being able to take pictures and other stuff with their Journal.
The other book the enity had given her was a goldmine of information. She read through the pages, her eyes widening with every new fact she discovered. It was going to take time to learn it all, but she was determined to make the most of her new life. After all, she had a whole new world to explore, and she wasn't going to let a little thing like not being able to choose her species or appearance hold her back and... being in the Wrong Gender also...
But for now, she had a more pressing matter to attend to. She doesn't feel comfortable being Naked despite having a Nice Soft Coat and Feathers Covering her Body, she just feels Weird not Wearing any Clothes. And what better way to do that than with a pair of stylish socks and slip-on shoes? She rummaged through her pouch and pulled out a ball of yarn, a set of knitting needles, and a pair of shears. Using her newfound knowledge of fabrication, she began to knit with surprising ease. The yarn slipped through her hooves as if they'd been made for knitting all along. It seems every time she use her Auto Skills they have an easier time grabbing stuff with their Hooves but when she's not using it they have a hard time Gripping Stuff.
Mellow Glow focused on the task at Hooves, the rhythmic clicking of the needles a soothing soundtrack to her thoughts. As the socks began to take shape, she couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. It wasn't long before she had a pair of brilliant lavender socks with a sky-blue trim, matching her existing Pouch perfectly. She slipped them on, feeling the warmth and comfort that only freshly knitted socks could provide. The slip-on shoes were next, a pair of lightweight yet durable shoes with a soft sole to muffle the sound of her hooves on the ground.
Her new socks and shoes feeling surprisingly natural against the cool grass. She took a few tentative steps before breaking into a jog, then a full-blown run. Her hooves barely touched the ground as she sprinted across the hill, the wind whipping through her mane. It was liberating, a feeling of pure freedom that she hadn't felt in a long time.
But she couldn't stay Distracted the hill forever. With a sigh, she sat back down and finished the last details of her shoes, adding a small enchantment to make them waterproof and etc including grabbing her Sky Blue Ribbon in their Mane to Enchanted Protects on it from Head Damage including Protecting their Brain from any Impact or Harmful Magic.
While the Socks she knitted is Insect Repellent and It help keep biting insects like Mosquitoes, Ticks, Ants, Flies, Chiggers, and Midges away from your Feet, Legs, Ankles, Hooves, etc away from your Body. It has Enchanted Shield on it so it will cover the Entire users Body, form Insects that are not Welcome in your Personal Space without Permission.
She Plan to get new Glasses in Ponyville later including making a Commission from Rarity to make her Design Clothing for her on the drawing they made.
But First she Decided to Practice her Rainbow Fire Breathing in the Middle of the Hill. She took a Deep Breath in and Felt the Heat in her Chest, She opens her Mouth and Unleashed a Beautiful Burst of Rainbow Colored Flame. It shot out like a Laser Beam into the Sky. It was mesmerizing, like watching a kaleidoscope of colors dance in the air.
As she practiced, she began to feel the rhythm of her breathing and the flow of the flames. Each breath brought forth a new pattern of colors, swirling and twisting together in a fiery ballet. She giggled to herself, feeling like a child playing with a new toy. But she knew that this power wasn't just for show. It was a tool, a defense mechanism, and a part of her identity as a hybrid.
Even though her Appearance looks like a Completely normal Filly, but they will definitely notice her unique quirks and behaviors that that a Quadrupedalism Creature will not do since she was Originally a Human being.
Mellow Glow Practiced for Hours, creating Rainbow Flame Hearts, Stars, Spiral's and even a shape of a Dragon!
Once she felt satisfied with her Rainbow Flame Practice, she decided to move on to her Earth Pony Magic. She picked up a few rocks and placed them in a row on the ground. She took a deep breath and focused her Magic into her hooves, willing them to move. To her delight, the rocks began to wobble and then levitate in the air, creating a small arc as they followed her hoof's movement. She laughed out loud, feeling the joy of discovery and mastery.
Mellow Glow spent hours experimenting with her newfound abilities, pushing the boundaries of what she could do with the rocks. She tried stacking them into towers, balancing them on her wings, and even making them dance in a little conga line. Her imagination ran wild as she thought of all the practical and fun applications she could use her magic for.
After growing Plants building mud Castle including finding gems in rocks on the hill, Mellow Glow felt a gentle tug on her pouch. She looked down to see a small, glowing scroll appear out of nowhere. It was a message from the enity, reminding her to be careful with her magic and not to reveal her true origins and should make a Backstory soon since she has 1 more day.
The scroll also included a map of Equestria with a red X marked on a place called "The Everfree Forest" and a warning in bold letters: "DO NOT GO HERE!" It was clear that the enity had a sense of humor, but she knew the seriousness of the warning. She rolled the scroll back up and placed it safely in her pouch, promising herself to heed the advice.
With the second day of her new life in Equestria she lay down on the soft grass, her thoughts racing with excitement for the adventures ahead. She couldn't wait to explore this world and meet the creatures that she had only ever seen in her favorite show.
As she lay there, she felt a strange tingling in her body, a sign that she was about to experience a magic surge. She reached into her pouch and pulled out the small bottle of Suppression Surge Pills. Popping one into her mouth, she chewed it up and felt the immediate relief. The magic that had been building up within her dissipated like steam from a kettle, leaving her feeling slightly dizzy but much more in control. She knew she'd have to be careful with her magic, lest she cause trouble for herself or others.
Feeling thirsty from the exertion of her magic practice, Mellow Glow looked around for a way to quench her thirst. With a thought, she used her Pegasi Magic to conjured a tiny cloud above her head and focused her magic into it, condensing the water into a perfect little droplet that fell into her waiting mouth. The water was cool and refreshing, tasting faintly of mint and strawberries. She laughed, surprised by the delightful flavor. It seems that even her basic magic had some unexpected perks.
The sun had almost set, casting a warm glow across the hill. She decided it was time to plan things out tomorrow. She had one more day to come up with a backstory that would explain her sudden appearance and unique abilities without revealing her true origins. As she stood, she took a moment to appreciate the quiet beauty of her surroundings, the only sound the distant chirping of crickets and the rustle of the wind through the grass.
But for now, hunger gnawed at her stomach, reminding her that she hadn't eaten anything since arriving in this new world. She glanced around the hill, spotting various berries and plants that looked familiar from the show. But she was a picky eater and didn't know if they were edible. Plus, she didn't want to take the risk of getting sick on her first day.
Her stomach rumbling againt the scent of sweet berries filled her nose, making her mouth water. She carefully approached the bush totally forgetting her precious thoughts, her hooves making almost no sound on the soft grass. Using her Earth Pony magic, she tapped the ground gently, and a small patch of berries levitated towards her. She picked them up with her mouth, savoring their sweetness. It was surprisingly easy to manipulate the berries with her tongue and teeth, despite having no hands.
As she ate, she contemplated her options for food. She could use her pouch to grab some snacks from home or even whip up a full meal, but there was something about foraging in the wild that felt right. Plus, she didn't want to rely on her pouch for everything. It was a powerful tool, but she didn't want to abuse it.
With a twinkle in her eye, she decided to use her pouch for a different purpose. She focused on the feeling of knowledge rushing into her mind and thought of cooking. Instantly, a recipe for a berry tart popped into her head. She picked more berries, her hooves moving with surprising dexterity. Using her magic, she pulled out a small, flat stone from the earth and placed it over a patch of dry grass. While taking a big breath she summoned a tiny rainbow flame from her mouth. The grass sizzled and caught fire, creating a makeshift oven.
Gathering more ingredients from her pouch, she mixed them with the berries, creating a delicious paste. She spread it onto the stone, which was now hot enough to bake on. With a sprinkle of magic, she conjured a crust that formed around the berry mixture. The scent of baking pastry filled the air, making her stomach growl even louder.
After a few minutes, she pulled the stone out of the fire and let the tart cool. The crust was golden brown, and the berries bubbled invitingly. She took a bite, and the flavors exploded in her mouth. It was heavenly, a perfect blend of sweet and tart that made her want to dance in joy. She had done it. She had cooked with her own skills and magic.
The sun had fully set now, casting a warm glow over the landscape. Mellow Glow felt a sense of peace wash over her. This was her world now, and she was going to make the most of it. With a full stomach and a newfound sense of purpose, she lay down on the hill, her wings folded beneath her. The stars twinkled in the sky, and she whispered a silent thanks to the enity who had brought her here.
Tomorrow would be another day of thinking on what to do, after all she hadn't made their Backstory Yet after crafting and Enchanting stuff all day long and Learning how different Equestria is from the Show they watched in her past life.
And thought of starting a new business with her unique skills. But for now, she was content to bask in the glow of her second successful night in Equestria. She closed her eyes and let the gentle whispers of the night lull her to sleep, dreaming of the adventures that awaited her.
