Previous ChapterNext ChapterMellow and Snookie groaned as the sun peeked over the horizon, its warm rays tickling their faces. The two of them had barely moved since the night before, nestled against the sturdy tree in Ponyville Park. Despite the comfort of the spider's web blanket, memories yesterday even had been rushing through, filled with glittering lights ✨️and the sound of applause and crazy ass music they had attended to help B. Sharp and Funnel Web with the whole team of Models...
The fashion show had been a whirlwind of goth theme clothing and glamour. Mellow had felt like a Celebrity in her outfit, a masterful combination of Funnel Web fabric design and Snookie's Spider Flair, had turned heads. And Snookie, her eight legs adorned with intricate jewelry, had stolen the show with her acrobatic web-spinning display. They had returned to the park exhausted, their bodies aching from the excitement.
Now, with the ☀️ sun growing bolder in its attempt to wake them, they both slowly opened their eyes. Snookie stretched her legs languidly, the early morning dew sparkling like tiny diamonds on her fur. Mellow yawned, her wings stretching out in a lazy arc. "Guess we should get up," she murmured sleepily.
They took their time, savoring the last moments of their slumber. Snookie lazily climbed back onto Mellow's mane, the pegasus's warmth a stark contrast to the cool morning air. Mellow yawned again and used Hygiene Rune to clean themselves. As she gently feels the Magic untangles her Mane and Tail to their usual style while getting rid of the Temporary Dye, Snookie began to weave a new, more complex web, her legs moving with surprising dexterity. The pattern was unlike anything she had created before, a testament to the inspiration she had drawn from the fashion show.
The park was slowly coming to life around them. Birds sang their morning tunes, and the distant sound of ponies beginning their daily routines filled the air. Finally, with a deep breath, Mellow pushed herself up from the ground, her wings fluttering to shake off the last remnants of sleep. Snookie followed suit, the web dissipating into the morning light. They looked at each other, a silent agreement passing between them. It was time to face the day.
The two new friends set off into the town, the cobblestone streets glistening with dew. Mellow's stomach rumbled, reminding her that she hadn't had breakfast yet. "Let's grab something to eat," she suggested to Snookie, who nodded eagerly. They had heard of a bakery nearby that served the most heavenly muffins, and it was calling their names.
As they approached the bakery, the smell of freshly baked goods wafted out to greet them, making their stomachs growl even louder. The bell above the door jingled cheerfully as they entered, and the pony behind the counter looked up with a welcoming smile. "Good morning!" she called out. "What can I get you two today?"
Mellow returned the smile, her eyes scanning the display. "Two of those strawberry muffins 🍓🧁, please," she said, pointing to the ones that looked especially plump and inviting.
"And a cup of sweet tea 🍵 for me,
and... what do you want, Snookie?"
The spider considered for a moment before pointing a leg at a tray of sugared donuts 🍩.
*One of those, please* she squeaked while holding a signed webs, making the pony chuckle.
They sat down at a small table by the window, the warmth of the bakery wrapping around them like a hug. As they munched on their breakfast.
While they were enjoying their strawberry muffins, Mellow noticed a News Griffon selling newspapers outside, their wings flapping to get the attention of the early risers. Curious about what was happening in the world, Mellow decided to get her attention by waving her hooves through the bakery window. The griffon spotted her and flew over, landing gracefully on the sill. She had a sharp beak and piercing eyes that darted from Mellow to Snookie with curiosity.
"One newspaper, please," Mellow said, her voice still groggy from sleep.
The griffon nodded and handed her the latest edition.
Mellow fished out some bits from her Mary Poppins pouch, dropping them into the griffon's waiting claws with a clink. "Thank you," she said, taking the newspaper. Snookie sat up on her hind legs, her interest piqued by the exchange.
Mellow unfolded the newspaper, her eyes scanning the pages for any mention of the Fashion Show. Her heart fluttered with excitement when she found it. "Hoity Toity's Fashion Corner," the headline read. She began to read aloud enough for Snookie to hear, her voice growing more animated as she went. "Last night's Gothic Fashion Show was nothing short of enchanting! The designs were darkly whimsical, a delightful twist on the typical Equestrian fare. And let's not forget the mysterious fashion model who stole the show with her... elusive companion!"
Her eyes widened in shock when she saw the article included an illustration of herself and Snookie, the spider's details perfectly captured. The artist had even managed to convey Snookie's unique charm. The text continued, "The duo's performance was truly mesmerizing. The model, a young Pegasi with a flair for the dramatic, glided across the stage with the grace of a swan, while the spider... well, I've never seen anything quite like it!"
The article was positive, and she felt a warm glow spread through her. The writer had been kind and had even praised her for her innovative use of the web including mentioning the other Models so they won't be left out. The town was abuzz with whispers about the identity of the model. Some speculated that it was a new talent from Canterlot, while others thought it was a local pony from Cloudsdale with a flair for the dramatic. Mellow couldn't help but feel a bit giddy at the mystery she had unintentionally become.
But with every bit of excitement, there was also a tinge of worry. She had hoped the clothing they had worn during the show would be enough to obscure their identities, especially with the temporary dye job Funnel Web had given her to match the Gothic theme. However, Snookie was a different story. As the only Eclipses Spider in Equestria, she was quite the rare sight, and her performance had been anything but subtle. If anyone recognized her, it could lead to unwanted attention.
Mellow folded the newspaper and put it in her Pouch deciding it was best not to draw any more attention to themselves. Snookie had already caught the eye of a few ponies and Yakes passing by the window, their curiosity piqued by the unusual sight. "We should get going," she murmured to Snookie. "The more creatures see us together, the greater the risk."
The spider nodded and quickly stayed hidden in Mellow Mane while she stood to exited the bakery, the bell chiming their departure. The cool air outside was a stark contrast to the warmth inside, but the smell of breakfast cooking in various kitchens was heavenly. They walked down the street, trying to blend in with the morning crowd.
"Alright, Snookie, we need to find Rarity's Carousel Boutique," Mellow whispered, her eyes searching the brightly colored buildings. "I don't want to be recognized without my proper attire."
They asked a friendly-Anthro Cat for directions, who pointed them towards the town square. The square was bustling with activity, a testament to the early hour. As they approached, they spotted a building that looked like a giant carousel. The sign above the door read "Rarity's Carousel Boutique" in fancy, swirling letters. Relief washed over Mellow. This was the place she needed to be.
Mellow's heart raced as they entered the boutique. The walls were lined with racks of beautiful clothes, each one more stunning than the last. The floor was a mosaic of colorful tiles, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of fabric and perfume. Snookie peeked out from Mellow's mane, her eight eyes taking in the extravagance.
"Welcome to Carousel Boutique!" a voice chimed from behind the counter. "How may I help you today?"
Mellow's heart skipped a beat 💓 as she saw Rarity herself, a unicorn with a mane and tail that shimmered like the night sky. She took a deep breath and stepped forward, her voice quivering with a mix of excitement and nerves. "Hi... I... I was wondering if you could help me with... something..."
Rarity looked at her with a curious smile, her eyes sparkling with kindness. "Of course, dear. What do you have in mind?"
Mellow tried to push aside her shyness, focusing on the task at Hoove. "Well, I have this Ruffle T-shirt design from my home country, Zokanwa. It's supposed to be stylish and help with our... our body temperature," she said, her accent thick as molasses. "I'd like to commission a custom piece, if that's possible?"
Rarity's smile grew wider. "How delightful! I always liked a new challenge of creating something from outside my Country. Tell me more!"
Mellow pulled out a sketch 📙 from her pouch, the paper a little crumpled from the journey. It depicted a T-shirt with intricate ruffles and strategically placed holes in the sleeves. "You see, we have these holes to keep us cool in our different climate," she explained, her voice growing more confident. "And I want it to be in these colors, please." She pointed to a few swatches of fabric in the store, colors that that matches her Slip on Shoes and Pouch.
Rarity studied the sketch with a professional eye. "This is quite unique," she said, her voice filled with genuine admiration.
Mellow felt a swell of pride in her chest. "It's something we wear back in Zokanwa. It's not just for looks, it's practical too."
"Fashion with function," Rarity mused. "I love it! Now, let's get you measured, shall we?"
Without missing a beat, Rarity led Mellow to the dressing room. To Mellow's relief, she didn't question the bipedal stance or get scared of the spider on her mane.
The room was cozy and well-lit, with a full-length mirror and a measuring tape hanging from a hook. Rarity instructed her to stand still while she took her measurements, her movements swift and precise. As she worked, she peppered Mellow with questions about Zokanwa, and Mellow found herself spinning tales of her homeland with ease. It was a surprisingly pleasant experience, being measured by a pony with such a gentle touch and genuine curiosity.
Once Rarity was satisfied with the measurements, she gave Mellow a warm smile. "Perfect! I'll get to work on your commission right away. It should be ready in a couple of days. Will you be staying in Ponyville?"
Mellow nodded. "Yeah, I've got some stuff to take care of before I leave. Plus, I need to visit the hospital to get some help with my... hooves." She said it nonchalantly, but the words felt heavy on her tongue. She hadn't told anyone about her grip issue yet.
Rarity's expression softened. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Is it serious?"
Mellow tried to laugh it off. "It's just a little problem with gripping things. Nothing to worry about, really."
"Well, if there's anything I can do to help, just let me know," Rarity offered.
Mellow thanked her, feeling a little lighter. It was a small act of kindness, but it meant the world to her. With a promise to return in a few days, she left the boutique with Snookie in tow, her heart racing. Because HOLLY SH×T! She have meet Rarity!!! She had actually talked to her!!!
They had barely walked a block when they heard a distant commotion, the sound of panicking voices and hooves. Without a second thought, Mellow's Helpful Natural Instincts kicked in for all the Years of her past life always putting her family first before herself including helping her Teachers with Tasks like a favorite Teachers Pet.
She took off in the direction of the chaos. As they rounded the corner, they saw a carriage that had lost control, barreling down the cobblestone street. The driver was clinging on for dear life, and a foal had fallen from its seat, trapped beneath the carriage.
Mellow's eyes widened, and she knew she had to act. She didn't care about her own safety; she just needed to help. With a surge of Determination, she shot forward, her wings 🪽 unknowingly propelling her like a rocket. She grabbed the reins with her teeth and pulled with all her might, trying to bring the carriage to a stop. The effort was a little futile, she couldn't save the carriage from tipping over. However, she managed to pull the foal free and into her arms, giving it to the frantic parents who had rushed over, And Free the Draver from the reins.
She didn't notice the weight of the carriage was about to toppled over, pinning Mellow's hind legs. Snookie watched in horror as the world around them grew darker, the weight of the carriage pressing down on her friend. She knew she had to do something, so with a fierce determination, the spider began to pull and tug at the heavy wooden frame. 🪵🪟
Miraculously, Snookie managed to free Mellow from the wreckage just as she lost consciousness. The crowd gasped as the young pegasus colt collapsed to the ground, unconscious but alive. Someone had already called for a doctor, and soon a team of medical ponies rushed to the scene. They carefully lifted Mellow onto a stretcher, her legs with multiple cuts and bruises.
The last thing Mellow heard before the world went black was the sound of Snookie's panicked squeaks. She had never felt so vulnerable and yet so alive.
The next thing she knew, she was being wheeled into the bustling Ponyville Hospital, surrounded by a blur of white coats and concerned faces. Her mind was a jumble of thoughts and sensations, the pain from her injuries was a dull throb that was quickly drowned out by the sounds of machines and the smell of antiseptic.
As she was being rolled into a room, she caught a glimpse of Snookie, her legs wrapped in bandages, looking utterly defeated and worried. Mellow felt a pang of guilt—she didn't want Snookie to worry about her, and now here they were, in the very place she had feared to take her...
The doctor, a kind-looking earth pony with a stethoscope around her neck, approached Mellow with a gentle smile. "Don't worry, dear," she said, her voice soothing. "You're going to be just fine. You've got quite the guardian angel in that little spider 🕷 of yours."
Mellow managed a weak nod before the world faded away once more, her thoughts swirling like the colors in a kaleidoscope And fall into unconscious again...
When she awoke, she found herself in a cozy hospital room, her legs bandaged 🤕. Snookie was perched on the bedside table, looking up at her with all 4 eyes full of relief.
"Snookie," she croaked out, her throat dry from the ordeal. "Snookie, I'm so sorry," she murmured, reaching out to gently stroke the spider's back with her hoof. "I didn't mean to scare you like that."
Snookie scurried over to her and nuzzled against her cheek. *It's alright, Mellow* she squeaked while showing the signed webs. *You're safe now.*

The door to the room creaked open, and in stepped Nurse Redheart, a gentle earth pony with a clipboard and a concerned expression. "Good to see you're awake," she said, her voice as warm as a freshly baked muffin. "How are you feeling?"
Mellow took a deep breath, wincing at the sting in her chest. "I've been better," she admitted.
Nurse Redheart nodded, her eyes scanning over the chart at the end of the bed. "Well, you gave us quite the scare," she said with a gentle smile. "But you're going to be okay. You've got some bruises and scrapes, but nothing a bit of rest and TLC won't fix."
[TLC is an abbreviation for `tender loving care.]
Mellow nodded, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. She had made it out alive, and she had Snookie by her side.
"Now, I need to get some basic information from you," the nurse said, her pencil poised above the clipboard. "Name, age, where you're from?"
Mellow swallowed, her heart racing as she tried to remember her Backstory but quickly realized that she didn't need to rush. "I'm Mellow Glow and I'm From Zokanwa, and I'm 9 years old."
Nurse Redheart scribbled it down, her expression one of professional curiosity. "I've never heard of Zokanwa," she said, not unkindly. "But Ponyville is quite the melting pot, isn't it?"
They talked for a bit longer, and explains how different their body functions while she had always struggled with her hoof grip. It was something she'd had since birth, and she had learned to adapt but in reality, it was more of a hindrance than she'd ever imagined.
Nurse Redheart's expression grew thoughtful as she scribbled down notes. "Well, we'll do our best to help with that," she gave Mellow a warm smile. "Alright, sweetie. Time to get some rest Your body has been through quite the ordeal. I'll have someone come in with some water and food for you later. Just push this button if you need anything." said, her voice filled with determination."
Mellow nodded gratefully and closed her eyes, feeling the comforting weight of Snookie curling up beside her. Mellow Quickly drifted off into a fitful slumber.
[The Hospital Staffs POV of Mellow]
Nurse Redheart stepped out of the room and into the hallway and went into the Exams Room, where she was met by a flurry of questions from the doctors and nurses who had heard about the peculiar patient. "What Country is this little Colt from?" One asked, his brows furrowed in confusion.
Another doctor, a stallion with a mane of silver streaks, looked up from the x-rays he was studying. "It's definitely a Pegasi, but the biological structure is unlike anything we've seen before," he mused. "Look at these... these are 🔥 Fire Gas Pouches that Dragons usually have in their stomach and... what is that? Is that smooze residue in the blood work?" He said curiously while a Young Filly wearing a Nurse Cap wave the Paper in surprise "And Look at this Part of his Body! He doesn't have any basic urinate and defecate that most Creatures have!?!"
One of the Nurse Stallions look at the x-ray "And the Muffin he ate a while ago is just... floating around... in his body..." he held up the picture to every creature to see.
The nurse nodded. "Yes, it's definitely not typical Pegasi anatomy," she said, her voice filled with wonder. "But we'll do everything we can to help him recover."
The doctor who had spoken first, a young earth pony with a pink mane, leaned against the wall, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern. "But what do we do if his body doesn't respond to our treatments? We don't know his Medical History, and we can't just guess at what will work."
The silver-maned stallion looked over the charts again, his eyes scanning the unfamiliar patterns of scars and limbs. "We'll have to treat him as a first ever hybrid," he said firmly. "We'll start with the basics: keep him hydrated, patch up those cuts, and keep a close eye on any signs of infection."
The team of medical staff nodded, their eyes wide with the excitement of a new challenge. They were the best in Ponyville, and they weren't about to let a little thing like Unknown Biology of Species Differences stand in their way. They quickly got to work, whispering theories and hypotheses to each other as they moved efficiently through the hospital halls.
Snookie remained vigilant by Mellow's side, watching as the doctors and nurses bustled around, poking and prodding, whispering about her friend. She felt a strong mix of fear and protectiveness, her eight legs tingling with the need to act. But she knew she had to trust these strangers—they were the only ones who could help Mellow now.
☀️Days turned into nights🌙, and Mellow remained unconscious, her body working tirelessly to heal. Snookie didn't leave her side, spinning a small web around her hooves to keep her steady and safe. The hospital staff had grown fond of the little spider, bringing her snacks and treats, whispering kind words to her as they passed.
The medical team had indeed discovered that this unknown colt had a unique blend of dragon and smooze in her bloodline. It was a rare and fascinating find, something that would be talked about in medical circles for years to come. They had to adjust their treatments accordingly, using a combination of pegasus, dragon, and even some smooze-specific remedies to aid in her recovery.
(They had to ask Discord for help since Smooze don't live near Equestria at all.)
While taking care of Mellow some of the Staff slowly realized that they might have to deal with more Hybrids in the future since Equestria now have many different creatures living together in Harmony, a Pony might fall in love with a Yak and create another Hybrid or a Zebra who fall in love with a Dragon and etc the Possibility is endless! They all agreed that they should inform the other Hospitals 🏥 to prepare to deal with that real possibility, since Mellow is living Proof the Hybrids Foals are possible.
And slowly, oh so slowly, Mellow began to mend. Her cuts closed, the bruises fading like a stormy sky after rain 🌧. Her legs grew stronger, the thin shreds of soft dragon scales on her hooves shimmering with newfound vitality. Snookie watched over her, a silent sentinel, her heart swelling with hope and love.
The day Mellow finally woke up, the room was bathed in the warm glow of the morning sun. She blinked her eyes open, and Snookie was the first thing she saw, looking back at her with all four eyes filled with joy. "Snookie," she murmured, her voice hoarse from disuse.
The spider scurried up to her face and gave her a gentle nuzzle, her legs dancing with excitement. And Squeaks of Joy Mellow managed a small smile despite the pain. Unaware of the creatures outside the door.
The nurse and doctor looked at each other, their expressions a mix of relief and amazement. They had done it—they had saved the life of a Foreign Pegasi Hybrid, a creature they had never expected to encounter. And as they watched the bond between the little Colt and his spider, they knew it's time for Nurse Redheart to ask some questions, they left curious on what the Files will say about him.
[Patient Files]
Patient Name: Unknown (Mellow Glow)
Age: 9
Species: Unidentified Pegasi Hybrid
Gender: Colt (Refer that their TransFilly)
Origin: Zokanwa (Unknown Location)
Description
Mellow Glow is a unique individual, presenting with a distinct blend of Pegasi and Dragon anatomy. Notable features include the presence of fire gas pouches, similar to those found in dragons, within the patient's stomach cavity. The patient also shows traces of smooze residue in the bloodstream, suggesting a possible third hereditary factor. The overall structure of the patient's skeletal system, musculature, and organs are not entirely consistent with typical Pegasus anatomy.
The patient's legs display a mix of dragon bones inside their body with Pegasi features on the outside, with the lower section being covered in a soft, smooze-like material, which appears to be both flexible and resilient. The hooves are like typical Pegasi Structure, but the palm of the hooves hinting at a potential Earth Pony lineage. The wings are very Solf with the occasionally glinting from the sunlight you can see some of the Feathers are Shining like Dragon Scales, unlike any Pegasi documented in Equestria, they seem to be [REDACTED] than average.
The patient's skin has a faint luminescent quality, which may be due to the smooze presence. Including very Thin shreds of soft scales, adding an ethereal glow to the patient's form. The mane and tail are unusually thick and somehow soft at the same time and resistant to standard grooming tools, requiring special care.
They have an unusual amount of Magic in their Manna Pool than a Average Unicorn Foal, the Spider showed us the Pills 💊 that their Owner had in their Pouch, we will measure and exam the dose of the Meds if they ever need a Refill.
Conditions and Treatments
The patient was admitted with severe bruising and lacerations on the hind legs due to a carriage accident. The injuries were extensive, requiring multiple surgeries to repair.
The presence of smooze residue in the patient's blood posed a significant challenge, as the medical team had to develop a specialized cocktail of potions and drugs to counteract its effects without causing harm to the patient.
The patient's unique physiology made it difficult to determine the correct course of action for pain relief and infection prevention. After consultation with experts, including asking Discord for help with the Smooze lineage, a combination of magical and medical treatments were administered.
Due to the patient's lack of typical urinary and digestive systems, a custom diet has been developed to provide the necessary nutrients without causing discomfort. The patient will require ongoing monitoring to ensure proper digestion and hydration.
The patient's body has shown remarkable regenerative abilities, with injuries healing at a rate faster or slower depending on the nutrients level they have in their body, than any recorded pegasi. This could be attributed to the hybrid nature.
Prognosis
The patient's recovery is expected to be lengthy but promising. The medical team will continue to monitor the patient's progress and adapt treatments as needed. We've been told by Rarity that they have a Hoof Gripping Problem when she came to visit, Nursery Rhyme volunteered to help with Mellow's physical therapy since He has no grip on his hooves. Either a birth defect or caused by an unknown illness in infancy...
The presence of the spider, has been noted as a positive factor in the patient's recovery. The bond between the two seems to provide comfort and reassurance to the patient despite him being unconscious. We later find out that the Spider's name is Snookie, she must permanently remain in the hospital room, provided she does not interfere with medical procedures.
Physical Examination
- Status: Conscious, but heavily sedated. Multiple bruises and lacerations sustained from carriage accident.
- Wings: Functional and intact, but show signs of previous trauma.
- Body: Despite having similar quadruped Appearance their body seems to be structured in a bipedal stance.
- Locals: We asked some some creatures if they actually walked in a bipedal stance and it seems we are correct.
Additional Notes
The patient speaks with a unique accent, which suggests a different linguistic background.
The patient has shown remarkable intelligence and a quick learning curve, adapting to new concepts and information with ease.
Nursery Rhyme volunteered to Feed Mellow while I went out to find some Spider Food.
Patient is accompanied by a Intelligent Spider named Snookie, who displays high levels of empathy and care for the patient.
We found out that Snookie is a Eclipses Spider Native to Mellow Home Country.
Both patient and companion are to be treated with Caution but Kindness.
Treatment Plan
Treat injuries with a combination of Pegasi-specific healing spells and potions, adjusted for dragon physiology including their Smooze lineage.
Turns out they have Earth Pony Lineage when we took a closer look and examed his Hooves.
Continuous monitoring of the patient's health, focusing on the stability of the dragon fire pouches.
Address the patient's hooves grip issue with physical therapy and possibly have someone their age to help them.
Keep the patient's room illuminated to prevent any negative effects from the lack of external light sources.
Mellow's Suppression Surge Pills are surprisingly complex, make sure to Follow Measurement and Drugs Carefully.
