It's been months since the events of the Starfall Islands happened, and Spike and Sonic destroyed The End together, reuniting Spike with his mother, and him beginning a new life in this world as a friend of Sonic's, and a new hero to help stop the threat of Dr Eggman.

But while that sounds exciting for some, Spike's still needed some time adjusting to being on his own now, especially since he's had to take some time with his mother Angel. She's still been recovering after she's been trapped in Cyberspace for thousands of years, waiting for the right moment to finally find him again, she had a huge history with the Ancients and the Chaos Emeralds themselves, while she still has much to tell, for now, they are just taking in what peaceful moments they have knowing there will be another threat to face one day.

Spike's been having a lot to adjust being in this new world he's in, while he's only seen a bit of it thanks to the Starfall Islands, now that he's out and able to explore more of what this world has to offer. He never thought he'd be a part of something like this in his life, but now that he's here, the more adventures he goes on with Sonic and his friends, the more he'll be growing to be more of a hero.

Spike's had time to reflect on the journey that lead him up to this point, from the enemy's he's seen back in Equestria, to what he faced back on the Starfall islands, they were really big moment's within his life, despite his friends being the ones to stop the threats in Equestria, on the Starfall Islands, it was up to him and Sonic to save the world, and he's felt really proud knowing what he was able to do there.

We open to a shot of a city within Sonic's world, there were tons of people were going about they're night minding they're own business, Eggman hasn't attacking or being much of a threat since the islands, and everyone's just been taking in the peace they can.

And as we pan to the top of a building on a starry night, we see a familiar purple dragon looking over the city with Sonic right besides him, and the dragon smiles as he see's this world he's in. The young dragon is known as Spike, and he, Sonic, and his mother Angel needed to take in some time to talk after all that's happened recently.
"Man, it's hard to believe it's already been month's since I came here, there's so much I've had to see, and yet, there's still even more I have to learn about this place." Spike said with a smile as he and Sonic sat on the rooftop to take in the sight, and right besides them was Spike's mother Angel who was taking in the sight of the real world around them.

"Indeed, you've come a long way since you came to this world son, you and Sonic did much to keep the world safe, and finally free me from Cyberspace. It's still hard to imagine that I'm in the real world again.." Angel said with a soft smile as she still was getting to used to everything looking real again, when she was merely in illusions for so long.

"Hey, when it comes to shove, saving the world is what I do. Gotta admit though, it's been really nice having some new friends along for the ride, I'm glad we got to go on that adventure together Spike, it really was something else.." Sonic said as he was eating a chili dog for a little snack.

Spike took a deep breath and sighed as he heard that, it just felt nice to be at a place where he can truly prove his worth, and whenever trouble comes, he'll be there to help.
"Yeah, it really was. Now that I'm here, I got new friends like you guys to help me out. We still got a concert happening in a couple weeks right?" Spike asked playfully as he, Sonic and Knuckles did form a band after their last adventure.

"Yep, gonna be happening in Station Square at some point, How you been doing with the vocal's Spike?" Sonic asked as he stood up and stretched himself out a bit.

"Gotten a lot better let me tell you, with this new body of mine I've had time to adjust, but since we got the free time, what do you think we'll be able to do since there hasn't been any big threat's recently?" Spike asked as they all stood up and looked over the city around them.

"I'm probably going to do another run around the globe to pass the time, best thing about going fast is that you get to see many places other's can't, what about you guys?" Sonic asked as he turned to them

"I think me and Angel are gonna just head to our new home for some rest, I'll probably go out for a run around the city before heading back, but till then, me and mom are just gonna take some more time together." Spike answered which Angel smiled at.

"Yes, I think that's a good choice too, me and my son still have a lot of catching up to do." Angel said with a smile which Sonic could understand.

"Hey don't worry about it, with how much we've had time to relax, I'm sure you'll recover in no time Angel. If you ever need help from me and my friends, you know how to call us." Sonic said as he finished up his snack to get ready to go.

"Thanks Sonic, I really appreciate this, it's just been great having a friend like you for help. But I gotta ask, when will you be introducing me to your other friends? I've only met you, Amy, Tails and Knuckles, but I've only heard about your other friends, you think we'll be able to meet them at some point?" Spike asked curiously since Sonic's said they've been busy doing they're own thing's since they came to this world.

"I'll come up with a party or something to get them together, just wait till you meet Shadow, Silver, or Blaze, I think they'll be interesting to talk with. But that's not happening for a while, I think the best you can do for now is take in what this world has to offer buddy." Sonic said as Spike looked up at the moon he's been able to see it before during his time here, but part of it was destroyed from what looked like a devastating blast, and from the side of it.. he saw what looked like a space station of sorts..

"And what about that place? What is it?" Angel asked as she saw the space station far out into space which Sonic saw too.

"Oh that? That's the Space Colony Ark, one of the most interesting places I've been too let me tell you, and the story on how the moon was destroyed? Man you guys will be in for some surprises." Sonic said with a chuckle which got them interested.

"Guess nothing's that surprising to you anymore huh?" Spike asked as Sonic was preparing to head out for another run yet again to give them time.

"You can count on that, I'll show you more places I've been too soon, but for now, I'm heading out, I'll meet up with you guys later alright?" Sonic asked as he looked back at them one last time.

"Don't get into any trouble out there Sonic." Angel warned which made Sonic chuckle a bit again.

"Don't worry about me guys, I'll talk to you later! See ya guys!" Sonic shouted as he soon boosted off and soon left the city without much of a thought again.

This made Spike and Angel sigh as they were alone together again, they've spent a lot of time trying to make up lost time to eachother, Spike's been able to tell her about the event's he's gone through in Equestria, and yet.. Spike's barely learned that much more about her..
"Well, I guess it's just us again isn't it?" Spike asked as they sat down again and looked over the massive city they were in, taking in how different it was compared to the places they've been too.

"I guess so son, whenever your friends have to go out to do they're own adventures, or what they do in they're free time, it's always us that spend the rest of the time alone.." Angel replied softly as she looked at the night sky.

Spike could see the moonlight reflect off her purple scales, Spike could just see that she's taken many scars during the time's she's fought for her life, outside of the nearly identical appearance they have, Angel had more battle scars, and looked way more experienced then he may ever be.

But as she looked at the moon, looking over the enormous crater that was caused from it, she felt herself feel a bit sad knowing how much she's missed on.
"Is everything okay mom?" Spike asked with concern as he put his claw on hers to help her.

"I.. still can hardly believe that I actually was able to reunite with you son.. I spent so long in that dimension.. fearing the possibility, that I may never meet you, and that you'd have to grow up without ever knowing.. what happened to me, or where you really came from.." Angel admitted which made Spike feel sad knowing how long he spent without even knowing her.

"I know the feeling, with all that's happened to me in Equestria, I never thought I'd meet you, but once I found that portal in that cave deep within the forest, all those structures most likely carved by the Ancients, it.. made me question what more there is for me. I spent so much of my life raised by Twilight, but I had rarely ever questioned where I came from, and now that I know.. I.. just wish I knew sooner.." Spike said with regret knowing what his mother's been through.

Angel only looked down sadly hearing that, she knew Spike still had many questions for her regarding her own past and the ancients, and it was hard to fully find a way to explain it.
"It was really hard for me son.. spending so long in a place that was nothing more then an illusion, a fictional place that could keep me safe until I finally found my way to you, when The End came and became a threat to the world, I tried my best to find a way to help.. and yet.. I was barely able to do anything.." Angel said with guilt as she smashed her fist on the ground for a moment which caused a bit of a crack to form from it.

"What was it like mom? Being in a time where the Ancient's tech was at it's highest, and you got to see so much of what they were able to do? Did you have any special ability's that could help them?" Spike asked curiously since he's wanted to know more about it.

Angel reflected on what it was like so many years ago, while it's hard to fully remember everything right now, she does remember some important stuff from it, and how much it changed her life..
"It.. was incredible son.. the Ancients were truly being's with revolutionary tech, I can only imagine what it would be like today if they survived. I spent most of my life on the Starfall Islands son, this world was completely different by the time I met them, I barely ever had anyone to talk too, I only could explore the islands surrounding it, and yet.. I never could see what lied beyond it, because there was very little that I knew about the world beyond.." Angel explained as she looked over the city again, admiring how much has progressed since her own point in time.

"Really? Then.. how were you able to have me? Spike asked curiously which was hard for her to answer.

"I.. had you by myself son.. it was quite difficult being able to, but with what little I had before I met them, I did everything I could to have someone like you, someone who could help give me joy.. after I spent so long alone.. the powers of Chaos Emeralds work wonders son, and when the Ancient's allowed me to gain more strength to fight for my home, it helped me see just how much bigger.. the universe really is out there.." Angel said as she clutched her claw and purple lightning came from her hand for a brief moment which fascinated him.

"I still find it hard to believe that I was meant to be born in a completely different point in time, now that I've finally met you, knowing what you've been through, all the stuff with the Ancients, I.. keep questioning what it would've been like if I was raised by you.. and if The End was destroyed, I question what my life would've been if you didn't have to suffer for so long, or even managed to find a way to Equestria, so we could meet far sooner.." Spike asked sadly as he still had so much to think over.

"Fate has it's ways son, I've learned a LONG time ago, but.. the least we can do now is appreciate that we made it through, and that we're together again.." Angel said with a smile before she came in and gave Spike a hug, and Spike gladly returned it since they've both been through so much.

Soon enough, they both pulled away, and looked at eachother with a smile and felt so glad to be together again, and as they saw the time, they knew they should head home now.
"Well, it's getting pretty late mom, wanna head home and call it a night?" Spike asked as he and Angel both started to stand up to leave.

"I'd like that son, I'll head to our apartment and get thing's settled, your probably gonna do another run around the city aren't you?" Angel asked with a smirk which Spike chuckled at.

"I'll only do one lap or so before meeting up with you, but I won't be long mom, I'll just make sure everything's okay." Spike assured which she hoped was true.

"Just be careful son, I'll see you at home soon, be safe." Angel said one last time before she spread her wings and took off to a their new home they recently moved into, a fancy apartment that was near the center of the city, they've spent many night's there, taking in the sight of the world they're in, and Spike always liked getting to spend time with his friends no matter what.

Spike sighed to himself as he was alone again, despite the time he's spent with his friends in this world, he's glad to have time to himself during stuff like this, he turned back to the city and smiled as he spread out his wings, and felt ready for a little lap across it.
"Alright Spike, let's beat your record!" Spike said with a smirk before he charged up some of his power and soon boosted off into the city to get have some fun.

Spike charged through the city at fast speeds as he made sure to avoid hitting any cars or obstacle's coming into his way, he slid down some stair cases and grinded on a rail that helped him go around another spiral case before he landed down near a larger building, he soon dashed his way forward in order to reach it to the top while having the time of his life.

Running at fast speeds like this is just a thrill, seeing so much go by at such a fast pace, and being able to see all the city has to offer in such a short time is a really great feeling, there's so much for Spike to explore in this world, and he's had such a blast being able go through so many places, at such fast speeds, Rainbow Dash would be proud of him.

He wished he was able to tell his friends what happened to him before he joined Sonic and crew to help fight against Eggman, and other threats to this world. He's still got a lot to catch up on given what Sonic's had to fight during the many year's he's been around, and it just made Spike eager for what he'll be facing next.

Spike ran across the side of the building and ran directly up to the rooftop as he saw the broken moon follow along with him far in the distance, and he soon made it to the top and made a high jump into the air and soon spread his wings out and started to fly across the highest points of the city while cheering with joy.

"This is awesome!" Spike cheered as he swooped across the building's and made sure not to hit anything coming his way, he could see multiple people noticing him from below, and all Spike did was strike a familiar pose alongside the view of the moon as he dove downwards and went even faster.

Spike soon slid across the rails alongside the buildings and continued to flip across them, soon sliding directly under a bridge which he barely missed, and he soon got onto a loopdy loop and ran around it before running back down to the center of the city to finish his little jog.

"Yeah!" Spike cheered as he did a one last backflip before landing on the ground skillfully, he took heavy breaths as he felt so much adrenaline rush through him, but it felt so great to go at speeds like this, and from the looks of it, he was even faster then before.

"I guess I'm getting better..." Spike told himself as he saw some people cheering for him after he did those amazing stunts, Spike only waved at them and began walking towards some of the apartment buildings in the distance to meet up with his mom.

Spike soon started to simply make his way through the street's, taking in the sights around him, this place was really simple in terms of city's that this world has, Spike's been to a few places with Sonic that are way more futuristic and advanced, but Spike enjoyed more simple places like this, especially since there's always the chance someone like Eggman could ruin it.

Spike sighed with a happy smile as he walked around the place, and saw there wasn't anything too big happening that concerned him.
"Looks like everything's normal here." Spike said as he passed by a few people respectfully who didn't mind seeing him since he's one of Sonic's friends.

But as Spike took in all of this, something began to happen, a strange.. dark portal began to form within the sky, and before anyone noticed it, it soon made a loud explosion which made a strange sound that could be heard over the city.

The blast created a shockwave of wind that blew so many people back while Spike stood his ground and didn't move as the wind blew past him and through the city.
"What?!" Spike asked with shock as he looked in the air, and to his shock, he saw a huge monsterous creature emerge from looked like a portal within time, the monster was made of a strange dark power that he hasn't seen before, and the only thing he got from the monster was a really loud roar which echoed through the city.

This started to make people scream with fear as they ran away from the monster, all the while Spike stood ready to face it, he smirked a bit and drew his sword he still got from the Titan, Knight. And the other powerful Sniper he got from Supreme, and aimed them both at the monster and stood ready to fight.
"Guess I'm gonna be a bit late!" Spike said with a smile before he charged up his powers and boosted towards the monster as it floated in the sky.

The monster screeched as it started opening up strange portals that looked to go to different points in time, and it soon began sucking multiple parts of the city into it as a way to destroy it, Spike could see some people were being sucked into it, and without hesitation, Spike quickly flew up in the sky's and grabbed every person he could to save them.

Spike ran over the debris heading towards him as it was being sucked into the portals, he grabbed any person he could and put them somewhere safer so they could escape, he then started to slash through the obstacle's with his sword, as well as shoot multiple blasts towards the larger debris of rubble that were being sucked in the air.

"What is this creature?" Spike thought to himself as the creature noticed him, and roared with pure fury drawing all of it's attention to him, it soon threw one of it's large hands at him as it opened another portal, and soon flew through it and disappeared for a brief moment, this shocked Spike for a moment before he heard a sound right below him, and he saw the hand was coming through the portal from below him!

"No you don't!" Spike screamed as he quickly avoided being struck by it, and he used that moment to use his sword and deliver a powerful slash across it's wrist which made it roar with fury. The monster soon charged up even more power, and soon started shooting strange dark orbs to him, and they instantly destroyed anything they touched like it was nothing.

This made Spike quickly roll into a ball and spin dash his way across the roof as they flew behind him and destroyed most of the buildings he was running across, Spike soon jumped out of it and slashed through any of them that almost hit him, his sword was strong enough to block each one that came to him, but it wasn't without risk of being hurt either.

"This thing is strong! I gotta end this quickly before it does any more damage!" Spike thought to himself as he ran over a much taller building and ran directly upwards, he could see the monster chasing him right from the side, and it roared with rage as it opened more portals that began throwing large rocks, or even chunks of land from other places that he recognized.

Spike made a battle cry as he managed to avoid being hit by them, and he soon made his way directly towards the top again, but this time, he did a backflip of the very top of the ledge and started falling directly towards the creature, he spread out his wings and screamed as he dove directly down to it and charged up his power.

The monster looked at him and roared as Spike flew directly into it, but as soon as Spike hit it, the monster managed to block Spike's attack and soon knock him far away from him with huge strength, Spike screamed as he went flying through multiple buildings and soon crashed into a wall which left a crater behind, and groaned as he tried getting back up to stop this.

"Gonna take more then that to take me down.." Spike said with a growl as he looked up at the monster as it rose into the sky, and it roared once again as it was starting to prepare a devastating blast, but at that moment, a purple flash of lightning instantly went by it and destroyed the orb it was forming, and soon came back and delivered a large slash to it's face to damage it.

It soon ran down the building next to it and went directly towards Spike, destroying the window's it was on thanks to it's power, and from the looks of it, Spike could easily see who it is.
"Mom?!" Spike asked hopefully as the figure landed down next to him and soon showed it's form again, and it was indeed Angel, her body was sparking with lightning as her eyes glowed green, and her power could be felt even from here. She helped Spike up and smiled seeing he's okay.

"You alright son? I didn't miss the fight now did I?" Angel asked with a smirk as they heard the monster roar again as it was still ready to fight.

"I'm fine mom, thanks to you. But let's not rest yet, we still have this thing to take care of!" Spike shouted as the monster glared at them and snarled while they stood together.

"What do you think this thing is?!" Angel asked with a growl while Spike drew his sniper again and stood his ground.

"I don't know, but it's powerful! If it's something that Eggman made, we have to destroy it!" Spike said as he got ready to attack the thing again.

"Couldn't agree more! Let's go!" Angel screamed before they both took off at the monster at their fastest speeds. Angel flew through the sky and charged through any obstacle in her way, and Spike ran across the floor and avoided whatever came in his way, and they could see the monster was getting closer by the second.

Angel took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she charged up more power, and as her body sparked with more lightning, her eyes opened up and glowed even more as she prepared a special move she knew..
"Chaos... Control!!" Angel screamed as she raised her claw out and unleashed a familiar move that Sonic knew all too well, this made everything around the both of them freeze for a brief moment to give them an advantage, but to Angel's surprise, the move didn't work on the monster they were facing which shocked her, but she tried her best to work around the situation.

"It's resistant to Chaos Control! We need to use the debris around us to reach it!" Angel screamed as she jumped across the frozen rubble around them to reach it.

"How did you learn this move?!" Spike asked with surprise as he ran below her while she glared towards the creature.

"I've learned a lot of special moves in my time! I'll teach you them later! For now, let's destroy this creature!" Angel screamed as she flew directly at the monster's face while it was focused on Spike who drew his sword.

"Got it!" Spike replied before he lunged directly at the monster again, this time, Angel managed to catch it off guard and deliver multiple strike's to it's head, and she soon flipped back and threw the debris it was using at it to prevent it from protecting itself, and Spike used this moment to charge through the air, and he made a loud scream as he delivered a powerful slash across it's body as time unfroze and all the debris that was nearby got destroyed instantly.

Spike and Angel soon landed back down in the center of the city again, the monster was recovering from it's attack, but once it did, it had enough of they're interruptions, and roared even louder as it charged up more power.
"Stay back son!" Angel shouted as the monster formed two portals in front of it, and it soon started to create a powerful force that was sucking them both in.

Spike tried standing his ground, and Angel was doing her best to avoid it, but the force was getting even stronger by the second, and it started pulling them both in much to their shock.
"No! Spike!" Angel screamed as Spike slammed his sword on the ground and held on as Angel held onto him, and Spike got an idea on how they could avoid a bad fate.

"Mom! Get down!" Spike screamed as he used his free claw to take out the Sniper he had, and he charged up a powerful shot and fired at the creature just before they both finally slipped and began falling into the portals that lead to different places.

"Mom!!" Spike screamed as he and her were being pulled away from eachother because of the creature, and Angel raised her claw out one last time as they tried to save eachother.

"I'll find my way back to you! Just hang on!" Angel screamed as she soon got pulled into a portal that lead to a white void on the other side which horrified Spike.

"No!" Spike screamed with terror before he got pulled into a portal too that lead to another point in time, and they soon both closed as the monster was free to cause destruction. The monster soon charged up more power around it again, and it soon opened a massive portal over the entire city as everything fades to white...

Spike feels himself falling through a void in time as he spirals around and tries desperately to escape it, Spike screams as he feels himself falling at speeds even faster then he's ever gone, and as he continues to fall, he sees multiple memory's, and places from his past flash by him, almost as if he was going through time itself.
"What's.. going.. on?!" Spike screamed as he fell through the void even more until he feel's himself fall into another portal that lead to another point in time..

Spike groaned as he felt extremely weak after he took a hard fall, wherever it was that he ended up, it didn't give him a soft landing at all.
"Ugh.. what.. happened?" Spike asked weakly as he opened up his eyes, and he was soon greeted with a starry night sky with the destroyed moon still being seen, which means he must still be in Sonic's world somehow.

"W.. what? Where am I?" Spike asked with worry as he quickly got back up to see where he was, he looked to be in an open field that didn't have any signs of a city nearby, he could see an aurora borealis in the sky too, and it amazed him with the beautiful light it gave off.

But it didn't hold his attention for long, as he remembered what happened just before he ended up here, it instantly made him snap out of it and he tried figuring out what to do.

"Mom, that monster! I need to find out where they are!" Spike said with worry as he looked around for any place that could be a good start, but as he looked around, he felt a strange orange light come up behind him before he even knew it, and soon enough, he saw a familiar emerald be held right by the side of his head as a new voice spoke to him.

"Where did you come from?" The voice asked in an aggressive tone which made Spike quickly flip ahead before turning around to face the person he heard. But to his shock, he saw what looked like another hedgehog, one that looked like Sonic. But he looked pretty different, he had black fur with red spines along his quill's, and had some golden ring's around his gloves that looked to hold extreme power, and as Spike looked closer at him, he saw he had a Chaos Emerald in his hand too, and Spike looked very surprised to see him here.

"S.. sorry for the shock, I'm not supposed to be here, I don't mean to cause any harm here, honest." Spike replied as the figure soon lowered his hand and inspected him closer.

"I don't think I've seen you around here, who are you? And where did you come from?" The hedgehog asked again while still sounding ready as if he were a threat to him.

That made Spike try to think of a reason to explain why he's here, but if he's anything like Sonic, or at least knows him too, then Spike just decided to tell him it honestly.

"I'm Spike, I'm a dragon. Sorry for the concern here, but I got sucked in a portal that lead me here from a strange monster, I got separated from my mother, have you seen her?" Spike asked hopefully which interested this hedgehog.

"No, I haven't, I saw you fall through the sky from that portal you described, guess that means your telling the truth." He replied which made Spike interested in seeing him too.

"I am being honest sir. I don't mean to cause any trouble here, this wasn't my fault, I got sent here because of a strange monster that somehow could control time." Spike replied as he figured that's what it could do since he's here, and it looks to be at an earlier point in this world then he thinks.

"A monster that can control time? Interesting.." The hedgehog replied as he now had his full attention with this dragon in front of him, and looking closer at him, he hasn't met this person before, and wondered who he is exactly.

"I hope you don't mind me asking this, but, who are you?" Spike asked as the two stood across from eachother as the figure crossed his arms and looked directly at him.

"I'm Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog." Shadow introduced which made Spike looked shocked as he recognized that name as thing's fade to black..

This one will have Spike team up with Shadow and go through Shadow Generations, where he'll go through multiple parts of Shadow's own history, both past and future, while also going through places he's familiar with too to face Black Doom and defeat him for good, And for Spike's mother Angel, she's gonna be teaming up with Sonic and Classic Sonic for Sonic Generations to fight against the Time Eater.

I hope this is a good start to this sequel story here, I have a lot of plans to help flesh out Angel's character more, help us see what she can do, and her relationship's with Spike and the rest of the Sonic cast, there's a lot I'm gonna be doing for this story, and I just hope that what I'm doing here so far is interesting, I'm gonna try doing my best to make it a great story, the next chapter will be on Dark Beginning's, and I just hope that this is interesting to you guys, thanks for reading this everyone and have a good day!
