My Little Pony: Equestria Girls-Crystal problem

The next bus arrived soon after.

When the door opened, the bus driver, seeing the girls, greeted them.

"Hello girls."

The girls were talking to each other before they heard the bus driver.

Surprised to hear the voice, they recognized the bus driver and turned their heads towards him and greeted him.

"Hello Uncle Bob. How was your day?" asked Applejack.

"Kind of average..." shrugged Bob, "And yours?"

Pinkie stepped forward and said with beaming happiness:

"We helped set up for the Halloween party, and now we're off to the Crystal Lake cave!"

"So late?" asked Bob, puzzled, "But why?.... And who is that guy? Is he with you?"

"This is mister Sombra..." said Pinkie beaming happily as she pulled Sombra to her side, who shook hands with Bob, and Pinkie continued, "and we're going there because..." she took a deep breath and started.

Because yesterday, a strange event happened with 4 other students in the CPA, and they told Principal Cadance, who passed the message on to Principal Celestia personally, and Dean Luna, who all three contacted us this morning about it, and then, because we couldn't answer, Sunset wrote to Princess Twilight, who lives in another world, and since she couldn't help either, she contacted a friend of his, I mean him, -pointing to Sombra, -who came to this world, and after a little getting to know him, he checked out the problem, and then after giving us some information, Twilight used the information he provided to put this gadget together, -pointing to the Rezonator, -and hopefully we'll find the source of the problem! " - she finished her speech with a big breath.

"Wow, all that in one breath! ..., -started clapping Rainbow Dash -Congratulations!"

"That must be a record!" announced Pinkie with a smile after she stopped breathing heavily.

At this statement, a few people giggled, or laughed tearfully, or slapped themselves in the face at Pinkie's silliness.

"I get it now...!" said Bob with a shrug of his shoulders, "Get in, we'll be there in half an hour."

"How come you're not surprised by that, may I ask?" asked Sombra, puzzled.

""Heh, I've heard stranger things." replied Bob.

Then Sombra wondered what kind of things Bob had heard, and they boarded the bus and Sunset bought a ticket for Sombra, which he thanked her for.

After they were about to sit down, Sombra asked them who Bob was and why he was pretending that what had happened was completely normal.

They tell him that Bob is an acquaintance and friend of theirs.

They have known him since he cured Applejack's dog about 3 months ago, when he was buying apples at her farm.

Her dog had eaten something that made her feel sick. He realised from the symptoms that her illness was the same as the illness his dog was suffering from.

He then concocted a remedy in the farm's Kitchen and fed it to the dog, and after less than an hour her symptoms had gone and she was feeling better.

Since then, he and the Apple family have been good friends.

Applejack's friends also got to know him around the same time.

And why Bob is so indifferent about it, they don't know.

They arrived half an hour later.

When the bus reached the bus stop at the entrance to the path to the cave, the others got off the bus and Bob called out to the others.

"If you miss the 7 p.m. bus, call me," he mimed making a phone call with his hand, "and I'll come get you in my van. And it doesn't matter when you call."

"Thanks Uncle Bob!" said Applejack with a smile.

Bob then wished them good luck and, waving to them who waved back, said goodbye, closed the bus door and left.

Shortly afterwards, they head towards a path with tall trees along its edges.

The leaves of the trees were a beautiful yellow-reddish autumnal colour.

The path leading to the cave was illuminated by flashlight, due to the lack of light and the dark time, as the only natural light source was the moonlight shining through the tall trees.

As they walk, Sombra asks Sunset a simple, yet interesting question.

"Sunset, may I ask you a question?"

"Go ahead, what is it?"

"This question has been on my mind ever since Twilight told me about you...

How did you know that Twilight has the element of magic in her element of harmony? I asked Twilight that, but she couldn't answer me either!"

"To be honest, I had a dream in which I saw the mirror was in the Crystal Empire, and that the element of harmony had turned into a crown... Exactly like the one in its current state, which was also in the Empire."

"A dream!" everyone but Sunset was surprised, "did you really do it for a dream? "-asked Twilight, with raised eyebrows.

"I know it's a stupid reason, but I felt like I had to try!"

"So because of a simple hunch and a random dream that miraculously turned out to be true, you steal a crown of great power?" asked Twilight, puzzled, "Well, I'm sorry, but that really is a stupid reason! ...

And what was the plan if you got caught...Because you obviously had a plan."

"Well," Sunset said with an awkward smile as she stroked the back of his neck with the back of her hand, "Actually, it all just came spontaneously.

I just felt like I had to do this and stuff...

But on some level, I'm glad I did it," she looks lovingly at her friends, "because it gave me something I needed...YOUR FRIENDS!"

At this, her friends hugged her, while Sombra smiled again at the fact that friendship had healed more than just his heart.

After the friendly hug ended, they continued on their way.

Soon after, they arrive at the entrance to the lake cave, where they notice that it is closed.

In front of the yellow and black striped ribbon is a sign that reads:

"Cave closed for safety reasons. Scheduled to reopen on 15 November!

Do NOT enter before the scheduled entrance!"

"Now which way?" asked Sunset to Twilight, "I guess we're not going to break any laws or risk our lives to find out where the signal is coming from!"

"Of course, No," said Twilight firmly, "and the machine says our journey continues that way." she pointed towards the narrow path beside the cave.

Following Twilight, they set off along the peaceful path towards their aim...

About 5-10 minutes later, they reach a rocky area where, after a short while, they see a cave entrance, two metres high, with a huge rock in front of it, completely blocking it.

"Is the signal coming from behind the fallen rock?" asked Rarity.

"According to the machine, yes!" replied Twilight, "But how are we going to get in there?" she asked as she pointed towards the cave.

"And if we clear that big rock?" asked Applejack.

"It hasn't been touched so far for safety reasons," Twilight explained as she adjusted her glasses, "and since we're not experts, we could get seriously hurt!

Plus, the experts have determined that there could be a 10 metre long corridor that could have collapsed... Or even more than that.

Mostly because of this, and also because a few years ago, the researchers used a cave detector to find out that it was not worth exploring, as there was nothing surprising behind the collapsed tunnel!"

"If not, why is the signal coming from behind it? Maybe there is another entrance?" asked Sombra.

"They couldn't find one..." she broke off her explanation as the ground suddenly shook beneath her feet.

"What's happening?" asked Sunset, and soon her question was answered.

For, shortly after, flame-coloured crystals erupt from the ground, quickly creating a dome with a hole in the top around the group.

This causes them to panic, and as Twilight almost drops the device, Sombra spits out with a nervous and surprised look on his face, "thermally expanding flame crystal!"

But, before she can say anything, a dark green smoke begins to ooze from the crystal, which, before she can do anything about it, puts them to sleep.

After they are completely asleep, the huge rock in front of the cave entrance begins to shake, then moves away, clearing the entrance.

The robot then walks out and heads straight for the team's " prison ".

It hits the crystal with great force, causing it to shatter as if it had never been there.

He then grabs Sombra and pulls him out, shattering the Rezonator in the process, and then, after pulling Sombra far enough away, he presses a few buttons to re-create a crystal dome around the girls.

When he's done, he will return to the cave with Sombra.

After a few hours, the girls wake up, almost simultaneously, while holding their heads.

"What happened...?" asked Sunset, then noticing the crystal wall around them, "Oh no, we're trapped! What do we do now?"

Twilight meanwhile spots the radar on the ground and sadly spits it out:

"Well, I don't know, but unfortunately the radar is broken...

Mister Sombra, what do we do now...?" she looked around but couldn't find him, "Oh no, where is Sombra?" she asked in a frightened tone, then looked at each other with a frightened expression.

Then, 10 minutes later, Sombra finds himself in a dimly lit cave after slowly opening his eyes.

"Where am I?" he asks, as his headache makes him want to hold his head, but he notices that his hands are tied to the armrest of a chair.

He soon realizes that his legs are tied to the leg of the chair.

He tries to free himself, but soon realizes that this is impossible.

He then begins to look around as best he can, and notices someone standing with his back to him in front of a yellow crystal, apparently staring at it, hands clasped behind his back.

"Hey, who are you, and what do you want?" he asks irritably.

Hearing this voice, the person begins to speak to him, in a sinister tone:

"Are you awake again? And so quickly..., he shook his head, -This is the second time, Nemesis!"

"Nemesis...?" asked Sombra, puzzled, with tilted head and raised eyebrows, "Do we know each other?"

"Too well Sombra, Too well!"

"How the hell do you know my name!" asked Sombra, surprised and a little irritated.

"Don't you recognize me?" he chuckled sinisterly, "Perhaps I do, little prince..." he turned and then pointed his yellow, non-machine eyes at Sombra, who was startled by this, finding it familiar.

But he also quickly noticed the black substance oozing from the robot's body.

He quickly put the two together in his mind, and then fear began to gnaw at his stomach.

"That's impossible...It can't be true," he protested, but deep down he knew it was true, for he soon found out the answer.

You...You...You are..., -he didn't want to say it, but he finally had to, - THE SHADOWLEADER!
