Special Chapter: The Harp and the Mouse, the Victim and the Villain
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDan and Brendan, not the god one, just the human one, were exploring a new location they found for any clues. The location wasn't anything special, just a school called Canterlot High. "Dan... I hate to break it to you but we've found nothing this whole search... are we sure that Bad Guy's even here?" Brendan asked as Dan shook his head.
"No... I'm not sure, Bren. I'm just... not sure. Bad Guy and the Ultimate Trimmer have to be somewhere though! The god wouldn't have sent us on this quest otherwise!" Dan said as he held a glorious harp made from solid gold. Dan looked in the direction of a bush he heard shaking while Brendan grabbed the cord of a mouse, with its cursor poking out to make it an effective weapon, and got ready to fight. What came through the bush wasn't a monster but instead just a bunny. Dan and Brendan lowered their guards and put their respective weapons away. "By god, Bad Guy has really fricked us up that even the smallest sound makes us tense up..." Dan stated as Brendan nodded his head.
Dan has started going his own way as Brendan did his own thing. Dan kept his harp at the ready just in case. He eventually bumped into someone, "Oof, sorry 'bout that. Kinda on edge so I wasn't looking where I was going," Dan said as he looked at who he knocked down. There were many strange things he saw in Brendan(The god one)'s world, but never did he think he would see a girl with yellow skin and hair that reminds the blue haired man of bacon, "Uh... again, sorry but... I've... never seen a human like you before," Dan relayed to her.
She slowly got up, "Sunset Shimmer. Haven't seen you around before, must be new to town," Sunset said as noises come from nearby. Dan immediately got a good grip on his harp as the first enemy in a long while made itself clear. It was a strange one however but nonetheless had the energy all monsters did. The enemy rushed to damage Dan but he played his harp in such a harmonious way that the enemy stood... that's it. The enemy stood there. Seems this enemy is immune to sound based attacks. Oh well. Dan's body got covered in a light blue glow as he jumped up before landing the enemy five seperate times causing the enemy to fade into light. Dan looked to Sunset, "Yeah, you could say I'm new to town, came here on a mission to find someone. Not you, no worries," Dan said as Sunset nodded before running off towards Canterlot High.
Dan's now sure that Bad Guy's in the area because of the monsters.
Meanwhile... with human Brendan.
Brendan had been walking through the school house for a while, finding nothing of note. He kept his mouse cord held in case he needed it, and it seemed he would due to the presence of "Computer +" enemies.
Swinging his mouse around by the cord, he fought and defeated the enemies as well as recovered the drops. It was nothing he needed but still good to have. It was then that three kids came from the room. All three were little girls but they all have different skin colors. One had yellow skin, one had orange skin, and one had basically pure white skin. "We're... we're sorry 'bout that... we were just tryin' ta look somethin' up on the computers..." The one with the yellow skin said in a rather thick country accent.
"Hey hey, no worries, I'm used to combat so it isn't that bad to fight monsters, the name's Brendan, you three are?" Brendan asked as the three fillies had grins... but the white one had a more... sinister grin.
In fact, it was the white one who did all the introductions. The yellow one was named Apple Bloom, the orange one was named Scootaloo and the white one was Sweetie Belle. All three kids were very curious ones and so they were going to look up what it meant if inanimate things came to life. "I can tell you. They've become monsters through the use of dark energies, Computer +s are a threat I've faced before so I knew how to defeat them," Brendan explained as he watched as the faces of the fillies become either shock... or knowing. "You know, for a kid Sweetie Belle, you seem to not be very worried that your home could be under threat, is there something you want to say?" Brendan said with a hint of agression.
"Oh, nothing much just that you won't find who you're after... here. Your enemy isn't in this part of the world and I'd say you should leave but now that you know monsters are here, I know that you won't. Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, let's leave the kind person alone..." Sweetie Belle says, "We have our own things to do," she added in a sinister tone before she and her friends walked off.
Later that night...
Sweetie Belle sits in a dark room, several multiple bats sitting all around, as Sunset Shimmer enters the room. "Sunset. Have a seat," Sweetie Belle said commandingly as Sunset does as asked.
"What is it you called me for?" Sunset asked.
Sweetie Belle smirked while looking from the shadows, "Batty told me that you encountered a blue haired man who killed a Soundproofer, am I correct in assuming that you let it happen?" She said as Sunset gulped while nodding. "So you let that harp player defeat a Soundproofer... I'm disappointed. Heavily disappointed. You want that magic, you do as asked. I need you to find that Brendan-forsaken cloak and this time forgo the failing part, understand Sunset Shimmer?" Sweetie Belle said Sunset's name in a strained tone, as if she's holding back just yelling at the poor pony-turned-human.
"Y-yes SB... I... understand," Sunset said, fear in her voice unrivaled. Sweetie Belle smiled as she poked her face from the shadows.
"Good girl..."
