My Little Demi: Friendship Is Magic REBOOT

A unicorn is seen galloping across the streets bumping and pushing any pony in her way. Many ponies either get annoyed or shrug it off assuming she was just another one of those weird ponies. The unicorn makes it to what is assumed her home. She opens the door and quickly closes it behind her as soon as she steps in.

"I'm here!" the unicorn says.

The head of a pink dragon pops out from one of the doorways. The dragon then runs up to the unicorn and hugs her hoof.

"Hey hey, take it easy!" the unicorn says chuckling as she pats the dragon's head.

"So... did you find any book of information about dragons?" the dragon asks.

"Sure did!" the unicorn says.

"Let's go read it!! I can't wait to see if there are any dragons like me!" the dragon says excitedly.

"I know, DemiSpike... I know." DemiTwi says walking off into the built-in library in their home.

DemiSpike follows behind DemiTwi excited to see if there are any other dragons like him. DemiTwi lays the book on the table and opens it.

"Dragons with extra horns... dragons with other types of fire..." DemiTwi continues reading through the book with DemiSpike.

After a bit of reading for any information that could help them, they are met with nothing as their results. DemiSpike has a small frown looking at the ground disappointed. DemiTwi wraps a hoof around DemiSpike and pulls him a bit closer to her.

"Hey, it's okay. Even if there are no other dragons with fur... you are still adorable and special." DemiTwi says attempting to comfort him.

DemiSpike then has a small smile on his face.

"I guess... I just don't know why I have fur..." DemiSpike says.

"Hehe, I don't know either, but it makes you adorable! I wouldn't have it any other way." DemiTwi says.

DemiTwi closes the book and sets it to the side.

"Hey, DemiTwi?" DemiSpike suddenly says.

"Hm? Yeah? What's up?" DemiTwi asks tilting her head a bit.

"When... are you going to try and make friends? Don't... you get lonely here?" DemiSpike asks.

DemiTwi looks at him a bit surprised.

"Hehe, silly. Friendship isn't really my thing. Friendship in my opinion is... well... not worth my time. Besides, I already have you as a company here and I have studying to help with my knowledge! That's it for me really." DemiTwi says.

"I guess..." DemiSpike says.

"Hey, I'll be going out to get some food for us. Do you wanna come with me?" DemiTwi says with a smile.

"No no... I'll be okay here..." DemiSpike says quickly.

DemiTwi nods and heads on over to the front door. She doesn't question DemiSpike's quick response because she already knows the reason. DemiSpike had always been insecure about his fur due to the fact he was the only dragon to ever have fur. DemiTwi then opens the door and exits. She makes her way to the Canterlot food market and quickly completes her current objective. As soon as she exits the food market she is encountered by a pony with a friendly smile.

"Heyy!" the random earth pony says.

DemiTwi looked at them with a blank expression and then forced a smile. DemiTwi, due to not wanting to socialize with other ponies and make friends, never had very good skills at communicating with other ponies. The only ever communication or socializing she did was with her family or the princess through her letters about her findings in research. The pony and DemiTwi both stand in front of each other awkwardly. The pony then suddenly breaks the silence after a good minute or two of standing in front of each other quietly.

"Do you wanna be friends?" the pony asks.

DemiTwi freezes at this question. She didn't wanna make friends. She didn't even know how to make friends. DemiTwi's mind suddenly goes blank now knowing what to say. She leaves the pony without a response for a minute until she finally thinks about what to say.

"Uhm... sorry but uh..."

The pony listens closely waiting to hear what DemiTwi had to say.

"I'm... uhm... I don't really know how to make friends... I also uh... uh... am really busy! Busy! I really need to get going... my uh... family must be waiting-"

"Oh, you don't know how to make friends? That's okay! I'll teach you how to make friends!" the pony says.

DemiTwi's forced smile then starts to falter a bit. Listening to the pony teach her how to make friends just makes her stressed even more. Before the pony can continue, DemiTwi's horn lights up. The pony stops and looks up at her horn.

"What are you doing?" the pony asks confused about DemiTwi's sudden use of magic.

DemiTwi then quickly teleports away from the pony. The pony's eyes close due to the flash of magic. She opened her eyes only to see that DemiTwi had disappeared right in front of her very eyes. The pony looks around only to see DemiTwi in the distance running off. The pony shrugs it off and trots away to make friends with another pony who possibly wants to be her friend as well.

DemiTwi gallops until she gets back to her home. She is then hit with a wave of relief escaping the conversation with the random earth pony and the possibility of hurting the pony's feelings with her not wanting to have friends. She opens the door and enters her home. She closes the door behind her and trots towards the room DemiSpike is in.

"Oh, DemiSpike! I have your favorite!" DemiTwi says with an exaggerated tone.

DemiSpike looks up at her and runs over.

"Here you go, bud." DemiTwi says handing DemiSpike his meal.

"Thank you, DemiTwi!!" DemiSpike says eating.

It isn't long before the sun sets, and the moon rises. DemiTwi sends DemiSpike to bed while she reads in the library. DemiTwi looks up at the window and to the moon. She then thinks to herself...

"What more do I need? Friends? Nope! All I need is right here... that is all I need."

Little did she know... an adventure is awaiting her.
