Chapter 26: Cyber Ragnarok's Rampage

On a US Air Force Plane, Aaron and Smolder were sitting on a bench next to a Government Agent who had a tablet in his hands. Aaron and Smolder were both in Dragon form.

"Five years ago, you two fought against this menace, as you call him, Ragnarok," the government agent said. "But it seems that he has come back somehow." He then showed the footage of Ragnarok rampaging through the streets of Washington, DC.

"Washington, DC?!" Aaron asked. "My grandparents live there!"

"Most likely, he's also gonna target the President," the government agent said. "The US Army, Marines and Air Force are doing their best to keep the beast at bay and evacuate the city. The people are all getting out safely from that monster's reign."

"Who would bring Ragnarok back to life?" Smolder asked. "And make him a cyborg dragon for cryin' out loud?"

"We may have a hunch," the government agent said, showing someone following Ragnarok in a Jeep Wrangler. It was General Crest. "I believe you remember this man."

"It's that jackass general!" Aaron said.

"General Quentin T Crest," the government agent said. "He's been busy since he got fired by President Biden for disorderly conduct. He abducted scientists who specialize in cybernetics, probably threatened them as well, and he had stolen a lot of money from the Las Vegas Strip."

"We heard about that robbery months ago," Smolder said. "Now we know who's responsible for all of this."

"And he probably needed the money to pay for all those cybernetics," Aaron said. "Which means Ragnarok will also have weapons, making him more dangerous."

"He's not the only dragon with upgrades," Smolder said. "Our dragon fire has evolved. You can create weapons and shields with your fire, and I can crystallize life forms."

"So Ragnarok has no idea what we can do since he's been gone for five years," Aaron said.

"We're near the drop spot," came the pilot's voice. Then the back of the ship started opening. Aaron and Smolder then got up and started walking towards the ramp.

"Good luck, kids!" the Government Agent said.

"We got this," Smolder said. "Would be easier if we had our friends here."

"True," Aaron said. "But, they're not. We're on our own." Then Aaron and Smolder jumped out of the plane and started descending towards where Ragnarok was.

Ragnarok was walking down 14th Street NW towards the White House. A bunch of Army and Navy Soldiers were firing their guns at Ragnarok. Even some were in tanks. And in the air were a bunch of Air Force jets firing bullets and missiles at Ragnarok.

Everything fired at Ragnarok was deflected by some sort of force field technology. Ragnarok laughed at the failed attempts of attacks by the Army, Air Force and Marines. He then said, "You pathetic humans have no chance of defeating me now!"

A bunch of jet fighters then released some missiles towards Ragnarok. Ragnarok saw the missiles coming towards him with his cybernetic eye. It showed him how to take out the missiles, telling him to use his fire breath on the missiles. He then used his fire breath, but it wasn't fire that came out of his mouth. It was a laser beam. The laser beam destroyed all the missiles.

"What was that?!" Ragnarok asked when he was surprised by his laser beam breath.

General Crest was watching from the Jeep Wrangler on a laptop. He then said, "That's a laser beam cannon my scientists installed into your mouth since your fire breath is gone. Thought you could use an upgrade."

Ragnarok smiled at that and said, "This I like." He then saw the men and tanks on the ground. He then used his laser beam breath to fire at the men on the ground. But all of them got out of the way, including the men in the tanks. Ragnarok then laughed and said, "I am UNSTOPPABLE!! NOTHING CAN STOP ME!!"

Then he looked towards the white house and words in his cybernetic eye said, "Target Acquired." But then something got in front of his eye. It was Aaron.

"Ragnarok!" Aaron said.

Then the cybernetic eye scanned Aaron, indicating him as "Jade Dragon".

"YOU!!" Ragnarok said, getting angry. He then tried smacking down Aaron but he got out of the way. "I HATE YOU!! I HATE YOU!!"

"Listen, pal, you got what you deserved that day!" Aaron said. "You tried to hurt my friends! And that's not okay with me!" Aaron then dodged another swing from Ragnarok. "You're not going to hurt anyone else!"

"We'll see about that!" Ragnarok said. Then missile launchers came out from his chest area and fired upon Aaron. Aaron got shocked about it. Aaron then used his fire breath as the missiles were coming right towards him. The missiles exploded as they made contact.

Smolder saw that happening and shouted, "NOOOOO!!"

"I GOT HIM!!" Ragnarok shouted. "I finally got him!" He then looked towards where Aaron was as the smoke cleared. Where Aaron was, there was a large, kite-shaped shield made of blue fire in its place. It then dissipated and showed Aaron unscratched. "WHAT?!"

"Yeah, I evolved since you last saw me, Ragnarok," Aaron said, smirking. "Evolved dragon fire!"

Smolder was shocked to see Aaron still alive. But then she smiled at that and said, "I almost forgot about that." She then flew up to the fight.

Aaron noticed Smolder flying up towards him and Ragnarok, and he shouted, "Aaron! Disarm his weapons!"

Smolder nodded and flew towards Ragnarok. She then used her evolved dragon fire and crystallized Ragnarok's weapons. Ragnarok's cybernetic eye started beeping. He then saw his personal body scanners saying, "Weapons clogged."

"Who dares to clog my weapons?!" Ragnarok asked. He then saw that the weapons on his body were clogged by burning purple crystals. "What?! Why you..." Ragnarok then tried activating those weapons that were clogged.

General Crest then noticed it on his laptop and said, "No! Don't! They'll get...!" The clogged weapons fired, but the crystals prevented them from firing, and caused explosions. The weapons got destroyed and are unable to be used again. Ragnarok's body scan shows that the weapons were destroyed.

"WHAT?!" Ragnarok asked. "How?!"

From the Jeep, General Crust said, "If the weapons are clogged, don't fire with those same weapons!"

Ragnarok then looked around for who clogged his weapons. He then saw Smolder flying past his view. Ragnarok then looked towards her and then he grabbed her.

"GAAAAH!" Smolder cried out.

Aaron looked towards Ragnarok and saw him trying to crush Smolder in his organic arm. He then shouted, "Smolder!" He then flew towards Ragnarok to save Smolder. But Ragnarok saw Aaron coming towards him. He then threw Smolder towards Aaron, which shot him out of the sky and went towards a condemned building. Aaron and Smolder then collided with the building and the two got buried by the debris.

Ragnarok laughed at that and said, "The Dragons... are done!"

"Great," General Crust said in Ragnarok's head. "Now to persuade the President to do our bidding." Ragnarok then continued walking towards the White House.

In Orlando, the remaining members of the Young 6, Marissa, Liam, Tony and Jessica were in the living room of the main part of the house that Aaron and Smolder lived in. All of them were worried about Aaron and Smolder when they saw what was happening on the news. Along with other students of Summer Valley High. Paul, Kyle, Megan, Slab and the entire Cheerleading Squad. Even Principal Sanders was watching the news on her computer.

"Aaron," Marissa said.

"We gotta get there to help them!" Gallus said.

"We won't be able to get to them in time," Liam said. "DC is 850 Miles away from here. It'll be a long flight and a longer drive. We wouldn't be able to make it."

Gallus then thought of something. He then said, "Who says anything about flying or driving?" Sandbar, Silverstream, Yona, Ocellus, Marissa and Liam looked at Gallus with raised eyebrows.

Back in Washington, DC, under the rubble of the condemned building, Aaron and Smolder were pinned under the building, but Aaron was knocked out. Smolder was trying her best to get herself unpinned.

"C'mon," Smolder said, trying to push herself up and to move the rubble that was pinning her and Aaron down. "Gotta get... out!" Smolder was trying her best to get out from under the rubble. "I want out!" But then her arms gave out and she lost her grip on the ground. She then tried breathing out.

Smolder looked towards Aaron and started shedding tears. She then looked down at the ground, hanging her head in defeat. Smolder remembered every adventure she went on with her friends, and some adventures with Aaron. She then remembered when Aaron first fought Ragnarok with his own Greed Induced Bigness. She then remembered what Aaron said back in the hotel in Los Angeles.

"When I knew that Ragnarok was going to hurt my friends, and go after my loved ones, I knew I had no choice but to go big. I concentrated my greed into protective instincts. All I wanted in those moments was to protect my friends."

Smolder then went wide eyed. Which then led to determination. She then tried pushing herself up, saying, "C'mon, Smolder. You can do it. I want... to get out!" The rubble was starting to feel lighter to her. "I want... to help innocent people!" She successfully got up and held up the rubble above her and Aaron. "I want... to help Aaron save the world! I want..." She then started getting bigger. "I want... I want..." Then her eyes started glowing. "SMOLDER WANT!!"

Ragnarok had successfully made it to the White House. He was ready to bring the White House down. But General Crest had him stand down until he could give him new orders. General Crest was standing in front of the White House with the Jeep behind him.

President Trump was standing in front of the White House, guarded by his security officers with machine guns pointed at General Crest. Then Trump said, "This is your last chance to stand down, General Crest. Stand down."

"Oh, I don't think so, Mr. President," General Crest said. "Former President Joe Biden had me dishonorably discharged for trying to save the world. That was the wrong thing to do! You are going to put me in charge of the entire Department of Defense, or else..." He then pointed at Ragnarok. "My ultimate weapon just might have a new target."

"You were discredited for going against Joe Biden's orders," Trump said. "And now, you're are being charged for Terrorism. I will not allow it."

"Alright, you had your chance," General Crest said. "Cyber Ragnarok... fire upon him with your laser breath."

Ragnarok then looked towards the President and he got ready to use his Laser Breath on the President. But then, Ragnarok was punched in the right cheek and was knocked over. Then a giant orange dragon with purple fins came into sight.

"Smolder!" the President said.

"WHAT?!" General Crest shouted.

Smolder was now as tall as Ragnarok. She then turned towards the White House and extended her left arm and opened it up, revealing Aaron, who was still unconscious, in her hand.

"It's Aaron," the President said. "Get him out of her hand." Then the guards put their guns away and then they went onto Smolder's hand to get Aaron out of it. They carried Aaron out of her hand and took him into the White House. "He's out of your hand! Now go get him!" Smolder nodded and went after Ragnarok.

"No!" General Crest said. He then pulled out his gun, but more guards came in and tried shooting General Crest. Crest then ran and slid over the hood of his truck to get to cover. He then pulled out a pistol and tried shooting the guards. But he was still a lousy shot.

Meanwhile, with Smolder, she was trying to keep Ragnarok away from the White House. Smolder was punching Ragnarok in the face left and right, trying to keep him from attacking. But then he grabbed both of Smolder's arms, and held them in place. Smolder was surprised at this.

"You foolish little girl," Ragnarok said. "You forget, only a Jade Dragon can defeat me! And you... are no... Jade... Dragon!" He then headbutted Smolder, causing her to lower her defense. Then Ragnarok pushed Smolder down and then he stepped on her chest. He was trying to crush Smolder's heart. Smolder was roaring in pain.

Back in the White House, Aaron woke up from being unconscious. He saw that he was being carried by two of the President's Security Guards towards the bunker.

"We're almost to the bunker," the guard on Aaron's left said.

"Where's Smolder?" Aaron asked.

"Aaron," the President said. "You were nearly killed by that Cyborg Dragon. I'm not sending you back out there."

"But I'm the only one who has a chance against him," Aaron said. "I have to go back out there."

"We're not taking that risk," the President said.

"That wasn't a request," Aaron said. He then sweep kicked the two guards and flew past President Trump and back outside to continue his battle against Ragnarok.

Smolder was trying her best to get Ragnarok off of her, but she was failing. Ragnarok looked down at Smolder and was getting ready to punch Smolder's head with his cybernetic arm.

"Goodbye, little girl," Ragnarok said. Then a fireball came in and hit Ragnarok's face, making him shout in pain. "Gah!!" He then got off of Smolder. She then got up and started breathing heavily. She then looked towards where the fireball came from and saw Aaron coming towards her.

"Smolder!" Aaron said. "You okay?!" Smolder snarled and nodded. "Guess you figured it out yourself. I'll take care of Ragnarok, you take care of Crest."

Smolder then reverted back to normal size and started hovering in place. She then started breathing heavier. She then said, "I think he crushed one of my ribs."

"We'll get it X-rayed later," Aaron said. "Now, go." Smolder nodded, but then the sound of a car driving quickly towards them came in. They saw General Crest coming in. He stopped the car and pulled out a gun and aimed it towards Aaron and Smolder.

"You two ruined my life!" General Crest said. "And I'm here to get my revenge!"

"Why would you partner up with Ragnarok?!" Aaron asked.

"Yeah," Smolder said. "Ragnarok doesn't work well with others for centuries."

"You think I would partner up with that beast?!" General Crest asked. "I'm in full control of him!" He then brought out the remote that controls certain parts of Ragnarok's cybernetics. "I hold all the power! And there's nothing he can do about it!"

"Is that so?" came Ragnarok's voice. Aaron, Smolder and General Crest looked towards the voice and saw him raising his organic arm up, getting ready to smash General Crest. "I don't think so!" He then brought it down to crush General Crest.

"NOOOOOOOO...!!" General Crest shouted before being crushed by Ragnarok's fist.

"Oooooh!" Aaron and Smolder cringed.

"What a way to go," Aaron said, Smolder nodding agreement.

Ragnarok then raised his arm, revealing General Crest crushed in place. He was dead. And the remote he had was still intact. Ragnarok then tried attacking the two teenage dragons. Aaron and Smolder then started flying low. They went to Crest's corpse and Aaron took the remote that he had and they headed out of there before Ragnarok could crush them both.

Aaron and Smolder then flew to the courtyard of the Smithsonian, both of them tired. Smolder then put a hand to a spot on her torso and cringed in pain.

"You okay?" Aaron asked.

"I'm... I'm okay," Smolder said. "I just... need to..." Just then, the sound of fingers snapping came in and Smolder felt something weird. She then tapped on where the pain was coming from, and it was no longer there. "Huh? What happened to the pain?"

"You can thank me for that," came Discord's voice. Aaron and Smolder looked towards the voice and saw him, along with the Mane 6, the rest of the Young 6, Marissa, Liam, Tony, Jessica, Paul, Kyle, Megan, Slab, Maddie, the Cheerleaders and the Basketball Team all standing in front of them.

"What are you all doing here?" Aaron asked.

"You looked like you needed some help," Gallus said.

"So we came here to help," Sandbar said.

"You're our friends," Paul said. "You helped us."

"Now it's time we return the favor," Kyle said.

"Aaron, you are a big hero here on Earth and back in Equestria," Twilight said. "You need a lot of help."

"She's right, Aaron," Smolder said. "Ragnarok is way tougher than he was last time. We need some serious help."

"Perhaps this can help," Aaron said, holding up the remote General Crest had. "What does it do?"

"Perhaps the scientists who were forced to help him can answer that," Smolder said. She then looked towards Discord. Discord rolled his eyes and then he snapped his eagle talon fingers, bringing in the scientists that were forced to bring Ragnarok online.

"Whoa!" the first scientist said. "What happened?" Then he was grabbed by Smolder.

"Okay, pal," Smolder said. "You are gonna tell me..."

"The beast has a kill switch that can stop his heart for a few seconds," the scientist said.

"Sheesh," Smolder said. "I wasn't even done with the threat."

"Ragnarok has a device surrounding his heart that can stop his heart for just a few seconds," the scientist said. "It can only be activated by that remote you have and has to be within 50 yards from him."

"That would give us the opportunity to strike him when he comes in for an attack," Aaron said. "But how are we able to stop him?"

"The head," the scientist said. "You must cut off his head. The beast won't be able to react to anything if his head is chopped off."

"Then let's do it," Aaron said, tossing the remote to Gallus. "Stay close and out of sight." Gallus nodded. Then the Equestrians started heading towards Ragnarok.

Ragnarok then tried going back towards the White House, but then he was ambushed by Aaron and Smolder, both in giant form.

"You two again!" Ragnarok said. "Prepare to die!" He then tried releasing a laser beam from his mouth. But Gallus was behind him. He then pushed the button on the remote, causing Ragnarok to gasp. "What's... happening?!"

Aaron then punched Ragnarok back, sending him down to land on his back. Then Smolder used her dragon fire to encase Ragnarok in burning purple crystal.

Ragnarok roared and shouted, "YOU... YOU BOTH WILL REGRET THIS!!" He then saw Aaron coming up with the Mane 6, the rest of the Young 6 and Discord hovering up in front of him. "YOU ALL WILL REGRET THIS!!" Aaron then used his Dragon Fire to forge a sword and got ready to chop off Ragnarok's head.

"Every creature, cover your eyes!" Twilight called out. Which everyone did. Then Aaron chopped off Ragnarok's head. Ragnarok's head then started rolling down the street. Ragnarok's cybernetic eye was still glowing, but then it started dimming down. It was now dark. Ragnarok was dead... again. Aaron, who was back to his normal size, the Mane 6, the Young 6 and Discord all stood in front of the White House after the battle.

"Let's go tell the President," Aaron said. Then they all went towards the White House to tell the President about Ragnarok.

Well, Ragnarok is gone. Hopefully for good. Washington, DC would still be a mess, but it'll be fixed. See you all next time.
