Pinkie and Dash The two had different feelings as they entered, Dash walked in with confidence and pride while Pinkie walked in with enthusiasm and excitement. “Oo! Oo! What do you think he has in mind? I can’t wait for some super extra terrifying Nightmare Night scares!” Pinkie said. “There’s no way he can out do the Tantabus,” Dash said before shivering at the memory of happy flowers. “I have faith in him! I know he can scare us,” Pinkie said. “Maybe, but he’ll really have to go all out. Especially considering we’re used to dealing with threats to Equestria,” Dash said. Then they paused. “Hey do you smell that?” Dash asked. Pinkie sniffed. “Yeah…kinda smells metally,” she said. They walked closer towards the source of the smell and then froze when they saw what was causing the smell. “Is that…blood? Like…real blood?” Dash asked nervously. Before she could get an answer they heard the whirring of machinery and screaming. “Scootaloo?!” “Maud!?” the two mares yelled simultaneously. They ran forward and what they saw chilled them to the bone. Scootaloo was dead, halfway stuck in a giant machine while trapped in iron chains. Meanwhile Maud was strapped to a table and was cut in half. If seeing the corpses of ponies that they cared about deeply wasn’t enough, they then realized they were suddenly covered in blood and dressed in different outfits. Dash in a scientist’s attire, Pinkie in an outfit made of cutie marks(including Maud’s), wings, and horns. Also Dash had orange fur on her hooves. They screamed in horror at the implication. “No! NO! NO! NOOO!” Pinkie yelled. “SCOOTALOO!!! I-I-I-I-I-” Dash stuttered. Just when they thought things couldn’t get any worse, they heard disembodied voices which caused them to turn around and see ghosts of several different ponies. Maud, Trixie, Babs Seed, Coco Pommel, and more. “You…killed……us….” Maud said. Pinkie was about to say something but then she felt something in her hooves, she was suddenly holding a chainsaw and a knife. She screamed and threw them to the ground. Meanwhile several young colts and fillies approached Rainbow, all being led by Scootaloo. “You’re the one who doesn’t deserve your wings…” she said. The two were assaulted by images of them committing horrible acts of violence, all against innocent ponies who had begged for their lives but received no mercy. The two had enough before running away as the ghosts of their victims. The further they went the more blood and corpses(and cupcakes)they saw, until finally finding the exit.

Nightmare Night is a holiday where ponies dress up in costumes, go door to door for candy, while saying a certain phrase, involves spooky decorations, and is about getting scared?” I asked. “You got it! Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?!” Pinkie yelled. “Sounds just like a holiday back home,” I said. “Interesting, tell me more. I would love to see how your world’s Nightmare Night compares to ours,” Twilight said. “So basically it started as a way to protect people from evil spirits. Then after many, many years it became the holiday it is now. Dressing up and going door to door for candy. Sorry I couldn’t give more info, it’s not something I really thought to look into. Also back home it’s called Halloween,” I said. “That’s ok, just from that small bit of information I can gather that our holidays have very similar origins. Nightmare Night was originally meant to protect ponies from Nightmare Moon,” Twilight said. “I still can’t believe she used to be evil. Luna’s one of the nicest and most caring ponies I’ve met,” I said. “Thanks to us! What are you talking about?” Rainbow said, crashing in. “Nightmare Night,” I answered. “Nightmare Night is awesome! Scaring ponies is the best! I get them every year!” Rainbow said. “Knowing you, I don’t doubt it. Does Pinkie ever help with scare pranks?” I asked. “Nope! I like to stick with free candy and getting scared!” Pinkie said with a large smile. “Alright. Just curious, when it comes to scares, what kind of stuff have you done in the past?” I asked. They proceeded to explain and honestly, I was disappointed. “That’s it? Bedsheet ghosts? Fake eyes on strings? Fake skeletons? If we had magic back home, our scares would be way WAY more intense. Though I give credit to the bear in a monster costume plus Flutterbat,” I said. “Oh yeah? You think you can do better?” Dash asked. “I know I can. Good thing I’ve been studying up on illusions and hallucinations, cause come Nightmare Night you’re gonna be calling me Tantabus,” I boasted. “You really think you can do something comparable to what Princess Luna did? She’s a princess! An alicorn! You’ll be lucky to get me to jump,” Dash mocked. “You know what? I’m willing to bet. 15 bits I can scare you just as bad, if not worse than Luna unintentionally did with the Tantabus,” I said. “I’m no coward, make it double!” Dash bet. “Oh! Oh! I wanna bet too! Make it triple!” Pinkie yelled. “Alright, that's 45. Meaning if I win, I get 90. But if I somehow lose, then that’s 90 bits I owe,” I summarized. “You know what? I’ll go easy on you, you only have to pay 5 bits to me when you lose,” Dash said. “Ok, you’re gonna regret that. Pinkie? Your prize?” I asked. “All your Nightmare Night candy!” Pinkie yelled. “Alright. Twilight, you’ve overseen this bet. Making you, a princess, a witness. I Pinkie Promise that you’ll face unimaginable horrors!” I said cheerfully. [A FEW DAYS LATER] With some help, I had set up my own haunted house. Using the magic I learned, I casted a bunch of spells to make whoever was in there feel like they were experiencing the illusions for real. However because of what I had in mind, no colts or fillies were allowed in. Plus for the adults, I had waivers for them to sign. I also made some posters to promote it with some help from the Mane 6. Once the sun had set, I stood out front ready to greet any pony curious enough to enter. I was dressed up as Sombra. “Step right up everypony! Get ready to behold true terror! Enter my house of horrors! I guarantee you’ll run away screaming! It's even more terrifying than Nightmare Moon herself! So much so, no colts or fillies allowed!” I yelled. I quickly gathered a crowd, including the kids even though I said they weren’t allowed in. That’s fine, they can just stay outside. There was a lot of chatting, so I had to pull out a mike to be heard. “QUIET!!!” I yelled. Everypony shut up. “Good. Now that I have your attention, I wanted to say a few things. Since this is my first Nightmare Night, I wanted to make it memorable. How? As you all know, I’m originally from another world. As such, I wanted to bring some horrors from my world, to all of you. Nightmare Night is all about getting scared, so I hope you all are ready. I guarantee you’ll face more horrors than in any Nightmare Night before. So much so the Princess of Night herself would cower in fear!” I announced. “Quite the bold claim, can thou prove it?” I heard from behind me. Luna had arrived, in her Nightmare Moon get up. “Of course! If you don’t believe me, enter for yourself! After signing a waiver of course. Yes, it’s that intense,” I said. “Not now, we will supervise the first few trips to ensure nothing goes awry. Especially if a waiver is necessary for entrence,” she said. “Enough talk! Let’s do this!” Rainbow yelled. “Alright! Rainbow and Pinkie first!” I said. The 2 perked up, signed without reading, and walked in, I let out an evil laugh and teleported inside to the observation booth where I could keep an eye on whoever entered. When they 1st entered, they had smiles and excited looks, conversing happily. But after a short while their cheerful expressions switched to confusion, they walked forward slowly as if examining something. Then their expressions switched to horror, they shook their heads and rubbed their eyes. They muttered to each other trying to make sense of what they were seeing. “Ha ha ha….that’s not going to be enough,” I said to myself. “Is this really necessary? This doth seem like too much,” I heard Luna say behind me. Guess she followed me in. “They agreed to it, and you know that Nightmare Night is about scares,” I argued. “Very well, if thou says so,” the princess said. Just then we were interrupted by screams. We looked out the booth, and saw the 2 panicking. Both looking down at themselves in horror and screaming, then they turned their heads as if they were looking at something terrifying, and began to run. I had no idea what they were seeing, but I’m glad it was effective. After a few minutes, less than 10, they found the exit and left. “Let’s go see if they’re ok, shall we?” I asked Luna. “Yes, let’s. We must ensure thou didn’t go too far,” she said. We teleported outside, and saw the two ponies curled up with tears in their eyes. “So how’d it go?” I asked. I didn’t get a response at first, but then Dash spoke. “You win….” was all she said. “Ok….was that too much? Should I have toned it down?” I asked them. “You Pinkie Promised….you did exactly what you promised,” Pinkie said. Was she trying to say I did the right thing? “You’d rather go through that then me break my promise?” I asked. Pinkie nodded. “Ok, but for real. Should I tone it down, or what?” I asked. “We are heavily considering that thou should stop if it installs this much fear in them,” Luna said. “I mean…we did agree to it. So if anyone’s to blame it’s us. He didn’t try to hide what he’d do,” Dash said. “You know what? How about this, if anypony wants to go through the same level of terror they did, let me know. Otherwise I’ll tone it down if you decide to enter,” I told the crowd. A good majority had already left just by seeing the two exiting, the remaining looked hesitant to engage. “Now hold there, what exactly did ya make them see?” Applejack asked. “I dunno, I just casted some spells on the house to make them see scary stuff when they entered. I had no control over what they specifically saw,” I said. “What did you see, darlings?” Rarity asked. Dash and Pinkie’s eyes widened and they shook their heads, guess they didn’t want to talk about it. Just then my horn felt off, then there was a flash of light, and- "What the f-!" I yelled.

What have you done!?!” Luna yelled. “I-OW!-maybe sorta used Sombra’s spells-OWOW!–to enchant my haunted house?” I said in a guilty tone. “THOU DID WHAT!?!” Luna yelled in her royal voice. “It seemed like a good idea at the time!” I said. “Thou shouldn’t experiment with magic without a teacher. Especially since thou have no experience. We shall take care of this, ” Luna said right before getting caught off guard by a stray beam. It had bounced off a reflective service from behind her. “SHIT! WHAT NOW!?” I yelled. “Why hello there! I heard you had something special planned for Nightmare Night!” Discord said as he appeared out of nowhere. “WATCH OUT!!!” Fluttershy yelled. “Oh please! There’s no way a somepony with less magic experience than a filly can do anything to m-” he was hit. At first there was no reaction, but then I could see the panic start to settle into his eyes. Guess he wasn’t as invincible as he thought, he really needed to stop underestimating everypony. Then the pain in my head grew worse. “I CAN’T HOLD BACK ANYMORE!!! BRACE YOURSELVES!!!” I yelled before unleashing an enormous blast of dark magic.

I’m having flashbacks to when the Crystal Empire reappeared. Given that Pinkie and Rainbow were traumatized, I can only assume whatever magic he used is worse than the enchantment on the door. After hearing his warning I braced myself, preparing for the worst. Then I fell. I tried standing back up but was having trouble keeping my balance, my flank was also feeling really sore. I started kicking with my back legs to get some feeling back into them. “AHHHHHHH!!!” I heard screaming from behind me. I turned around and saw Rainbow Dash’s body full of stab and slash wounds. I thought she was dead, but then her wounds started healing on their own. “Twilight…..please…..let me go….or let me die….on of the two…..please….” she said. I’ve never been so horrified yet confused at the same time. Then a mirror appeared out of nowhere, and I got a good look at myself. I was incredibly pale, had red eyes, and was bleeding from my hindlegs, but that wasn’t the worst part. The worst part was the fact my hindlegs were replaced with blades, and they were covered in blood. The worst part wasn’t the blood from Dash just now, it was the old dried blood that implied this has happened before. “NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! THIS ISN’T REAL!!! THIS IS JUST AN ILLUSION!!!” I yelled. I bashed my head against the wall, hoping to clear my head. “Twi….please….you’re throwing one of your fits again….no wonder Spike was taken away from you for his own safety…” Dash said weakly. “SPIKE!?! NOT HIM!!! NO!!! PLEASE!!! NOT HIM!!!!!” I yelled. I started crying. As I curled up into a ball on the floor, I noticed the sliced up bodies of more ponies. The smell of blood and the wet feeling on my fur was all too real, this wasn’t a hallucination. Rarity Oh how dreadful!!! Not the magic of that brute Sombra! I remember what Twilight said about the door to the Crystal Heart, I do not wish to experience any of that! I heard him warn us and closed my eyes as the dark magic spread everywhere. I felt a chill go down my back, then an unpleasant feeling in my eye. When I opened my eyes I saw I was back in my boutique, I went to the mirror to check my eye and nearly fainted. It was gone! Replaced by an empty socket with a faint glow. That wasn’t even the worst part, the worst part was the fact my entire body was full of various scars and injuries. Some old, some more recent. One was currently bleeding, but for some odd reason I couldn’t feel it. Then my body started moving against my will, I approached my sewing materials and lifted up the sharp needles. I tried to stop myself from what was about to happen next, but I couldn’t even make myself scream. The needles sunk deep into my body, to the point they weren’t even visible anymore because they were completely embedded into my body. I wanted to scream, I wanted to faint, to do anything, but all I could was watch as I injured myself against my will. Despite not feeling the pain, I was begging for this to end. Fluttershy Oh dear, this wasn’t good. I understand wanting to be scary and be a part of Nightmare Night, but there is a limit that shouldn’t be crossed. I ducked and covered after hearing his warning. (Insert getting up confused and wondering what’s going on, I’m sorry but there’s only so many ways I can write that. I’ll just write intro skip for the rest of the segments). My shed? Ok. I felt compelled to go in for some reason, the same joy I felt when I do something with my animal friends. I walked in and what I saw horrified me. Pony skeletons lined the walls, there wasn’t a single space that wasn’t covered in blood. It was then I saw Rainbow in the middle tied to a chair, for some reason I didn’t go set her free. I was compelled to reach for a nearby chainsaw and approached Rainbow with a smile on my face. My horrified feeling slowly being replaced with a wicked sense of joy. “What did I tell you about coming in my shed?” I asked. When I got to work, I started from the bottom up. I made sure she was screaming the whole time, smiling sadistically as blood flew everywhere. Also my skeleton decorations started singing for some reason but I didn’t stop. I just kept sawing until she was completely sliced in half. Applejack What the hay was he thinkin’? What in tarnation made ‘im think this was a good idea!?!! They all looked even more exhausted than when ah tried clearing Sweet Apple Acres all on mah own, and for some reason they had collars around their necks? “Please, we need a break! None of us can go on anymore!” Apple Bloom begged. The words that came out mah mouth weren’t mine. “So yall want a break that badly, huh? Kay then, I’ll give yall a break,” ah said before picking up mah shovel and approaching them. I did what mah head told me to and started to beat them senseless. I made sure to keep going til I heard bones break. “There, now yall won’t have to work for quite a while. Enjoy your time off,” ah said. I woke up surrounded by all kinds of treasures, Rarity was trapped in a cage, the ponies of Ponyville were severely injured. I tried talking, but only growls came out. The ponies were lined up and were dropping off items, adding to the pile. One pony, Mr. Cake, begged me to let him go without giving me something. They were running low on supplies and needed to care for the kids. For some reason this made me angry, then without even thinking I lunged forward and ate him. Luna What a shame, the fact he was as proficient as he was using such magic showed he had great promise. As soon as this is over, we will see if he has interest in becoming my student. We prepared for the worst, knowing what Sombra’s magic was capable of. Before our vision even cleared, we instantly started feeling a sense of dread. When we could see, we saw the Elements looking at us in horror. “Princess Luna? How could you!?!” Twilight yelled. We felt ourselves smile against our will. “We are not Princess Luna, we are Nightmare Moon once again!” We were talking, but the words coming out weren’t ours. It was just then we tasted something in our mouth, something…metallic. Our eyes looked down and were met with a horrific sight. Our beloved sister was brutally mauled. She wasn’t dead, we could still see her breathing, but her condition could’ve fooled a passerby. She had several wounds clearly inflicted by magic, and her legs had been broken by hoof, but that wasn’t the worst part. The worst were the chunks of flesh that had been ripped off by a predator’s sharp teeth. “Wh-why did you do that to your sister?” Fluttershy asked. “Ever since discovering the tales ponies made of us for Nightmare Night, we figured we’d indulge and discover if we enjoyed the taste of flesh. We believe thou hast the answer, does thou wish to become my meal? If not, then flee. Flee and never return,” we said, still with no control over our body. Even knowing Sombra’s magic, this felt all too real. Discord Well…I’ll admit I felt that, but nothing to make a fuss about. I was about to make a witty retort but then I felt a familiar presence. Right there, just behind that building. I moved to get a closer look, then she emerged. “No. You-you’re not supposed to be here…” I said. I snapped repeatedly, but nothing happened. “Discord. Smeetums. Darling,” she grew bigger and more intimidating with each word, “You should know just how difficult it is to get rid of me.” Oh author, why have you forsaken me? “Oh Discord, the author can’t save you. The power of my malice is enough to keep them at bay,” Cosmos said. It’s true, a few bad things happened to me today, guess I know who to blame. “No! No! No!” I yelled. “Don’t worry darling, I see what mistakes I made. I need to take better care of you as my pet,” she said before turning me into a cat. I tried running away but she caught me and began petting me while smiling evilly. “Shhhhh…you're mine now. Prepare to see me unleash more malice than I ever have before! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Cosmos laughed. Starlight Well that escalated quickly, my first Nightmare Night as a redeemed pony and it all goes downhill. After getting hit by a wave of dark magic my felt fuzzy, my vision went blurry, then darkness. I woke up in an empty void surrounded by orbs, each representing a different timeline. I chuckled evilly. “Soon. One timeline down, many more to go.” Trixie Trixie understands why that pony did what he did. Using dark magic to enhance your performance, she just hopes this ends better than it did with her. When Trixie returned to her senses, she looked at her surroundings. Statues had been erected in Trixie’s image, there were some of Twilight as well showing her various positions of defeat. Trixie’s head was suddenly filled with memories, I saw through her trick with the fake amulet and defeated her. She proceeded to take over a majority of Equestria, and was currently at war with the princesses. Trixe was not a benevolent ruler, she was an evil dictator, who had no hesitation to imprison ponies or execute them.

Just to note, for number 2 the horror comes from when it ends and they realize they did horrible stuff and enjoyed it. What was your favorite hallucination? Also sorry for not doing anything for Pinkie and Dash but I didn't want to do another thing with them, so let's just say for round 2, Rainbow got 2 and Pinkie got 1 One more thing, in these illusions the ponies can feel stuff, like the imaginary blood. But can't actually feel pain. That's why Scissor Twi and Rarity aren't saying anything about being in agony. The worst you could feel is just some mild sores that you wouldn't complain about.

She glared at me. “That’s because you put just about every pony in Ponyville in our mental health ward! I haven’t gotten a chance to sit due to the massive number of patients!” she yelled. The doctor then walked in, also looking exhausted. “I’ll take it from here, go help with the other patients,” he said. Redheart nodded and walked away, Doctor Horse then turned his attention to me. “You have suffered from a magic overload, you will not be able to use any magic for quite a while. You’re lucky you didn’t suffer from any critical injuries and only received a bad headache, just take the pills and you’ll be fine,” he said. “What exactly happened?” I asked. “Your illusion spell stopped once it overloaded, you passed out after the explosion,” he said. “I see,” I said. “Anyways….Princess Luna and the 6 Elements would like to see you. I must be going, I have many more patients to attend to,” he said as he walked out the door. I took the whole bottle of painkillers and just waited. The 7 of them showed up, I was met with various looks of annoyance and nervousness. Luna had a blank expression on her face. “Thou caused quite a stir,” she said. “Be honest, how bad was it?” I asked. “Your spell spread across the entirety of Ponyville, causing everypony to suffer from horrible hallucinations!” Twilight yelled. “Sorry…..didn’t mean for things to get that out of control,” I said. “Ya better be sorry!!! You have any idea how terrifyin’ that was!?! Ah saw myself as a horrible dictator running Sweet Apple Acres with an iron hoof! Ah treated mah own family so horribly ah beat them when they asked fer a break!!! Ah took inspiration from the Flim Flam Brothers and valued money above everythin’ else!!! Wurst part is I enjoyed every second of it!!!!!!!” Applejack ranted. “Yikes. Yikes that is bad,” I said. “Understatement, darling! You had me inflicting all sorts of self harm! Therefore it is expected that mistakes will be made.” “Thanks Luna, that makes me feel a bit better,” I said. “We must say, it is impressive how much power thou had. No normal unicorn would be able to handle such excessive dark magic and only escape with a headache. Thou hast potential, and we have been wanting an apprentice upon hearing our sister taking ponies under her wing,” Luna said. “Are you saying?” I asked. “Yes. Does thou accept?” she asked. “Ok. Some accepted my apologies, some didn’t, some were too terrified of me and didn’t even want me to approach. I got an interesting response from Discord. He was actually impressed that a simple human turned pony with little experience in magic such as myself was able to essentially defeat him. He wasn’t expecting that at all. Trixie took over with the help of the Alicorn Amulet and became a ruthless dictator completely fine with imprisonment, torture, and execution. Starlight beat Twilight and took over her timeline, and plans to spread her rule to other timelines as well. The void she's in is the space between timelines where she can observe them all.
