With the three members of Team Rocket they were in another disguise hiding themselves from the other people and they were talking to their boss, Giovanni, over a hologram.

"Good news boss. We've arrived in the Kalos region on time and according to plan." Meowth said.

"Our goal is to catch as many rare and strong Pokémon as possible." James said.

"And we're totally committed to that goal. You can count on us." Jessie said.

"Good. I'm certain the Pokémon that you catch will be important to our work. Get to it." Giovanni said.

"Sir." said the three members.

Meanwhile with Ash and his friends, Ash was talking to a friend of his over the phone saying that they have arrived safely in the Kalos region. When he was done he ran out to Twilight, Spike, Clemont and Bonnie.

"Hi Ash, didn't you tell me that you and Twilight were heading to the Santalune Gym first?" Clemont asked Ash.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure the gym leader should be back by now." Ash said.

"Well according to the town map in order to get to Santalune city we'll have to go through Route 4." Twilight said.

"Then Route 4 it is. Come on let's go!" Ash said to Twilight and Spike.

"Wait! We're coming too." Clemont said.

"Are you sure?" Spike said.

"We're certain of it." Clemont said.

So with that said the 5 of them went to Route 4 when Pikachu and Froakie heard a sound coming from a tree when something fell on Pikachu. When Pikachu saw a berry a electric bolt came from the tree, hit the berry and then hit Bonnie.

"What was that?" Ash said.

Then Twilight heard another sound coming from the bushes. So she carefully went over to the bushes and saw a Pokémon with one of its ears curled up.

"Who's that Pokémon?" Twilight said as she brought out her pokedex.

After Buneary's pokedex entry...

"Wow." Twilight said.

Then Spike came over.

What is it Twilight?" Spike said.

"Look at that Spike." Twilight said.

They saw that Buneary was practicing one of its moves on a huge rock. Then Twilight decides to catch it. Meanwhile with Ash, Clemont and Bonnie they saw a electric Pokémon called a Dedenne, but just as Bonnie was about to give the berry to it another Pokémon flew it and took the berry from Bonnie's hand.

"Hey what's the big idea!? I've never seen that Pokémon before either." Ash said.

"It's a Fletchling." Clemont Said.

"No fair! That berry belongs to Dedenne!" Bonnie shouted.

Then Fletchling ate the berry and that made Dedenne cry and ran away. Meanwhile with Twilight and Spike Twilight's Fennekin was battling that Buneary until with one last move from Fennekin Beneary was defeated.

"Now's your chance Twilight! Catch it!" Spike said as Twilight brought one of her Pokeballs from her saddle bags.

"Go Pokeball!" Twilight said as she uses her magic to throw the pokeball toward Buneary. It went inside and after a few shakes she caught it.

"Yes, this is my first Pokémon that I caught Spike." Twilight said to Spike.

"Well let's go tell Ash." Spike said.

So Twilight and Spike went back to Ash and his friends and when they got back they saw that Ash was trying to get Froakie to listen to him. Then Fletchling used a move called Razor Wind to attack but the group dodged it.

"Hey Froakie. I understand, you want to get even with Fletchling for making Bonnie sad." Ash said.

Then Bonnie came up to Froakie and said "Is that true? Thank you Froakie!"

"But you can't do that without a plan. Okay Fletchling can fly so first we need to figure out a way to lure it in." Ash said.

So Twilight just thought of something, about Froakie's jumping skills. So she walked up to Ash and whispered her plan to him. Meanwhile with the three members of Team Rocket they found a new Pokémon floating in the air called an Inkay and James decided to use some bait and it worked.

"Inkay took the bait, watch this!" James said as he threw his Pokeball at Inkay and after a few shakes he caught it.

Meanwhile with Ash's group he decided to use Froakie this time to catch Fletchling.

"Great this whole area will be the battlefield. It's full of high and low places and with your awesome jumping skills you'll be great." Ash explained to Froakie.

"I think I know what he means by that." Twilight said.

"What do you mean by that?" Bonnie said.

"Just watch." Twilight said.

"Go Froakie! Jump above Fletchling! Ready?" Ash said to Froakie.

And soon Froakie started to use the different ledge heights to catch up with Fletchling. Once when it was high enough Froakie started to attack and one time it lured Fletchling in with a decoy. Ash tried to catch it but it escaped so Froakie jumped up to its level and used Water Pulse to finish it off.

"This time for sure. Go pokeball!" Ash said as he threw his pokeball again at Fletchling and this time he caught it.

After the battle Froakie was exhausted so they all decided to camp out near a forest to take a nice break but before Twilight could take a break she saw something sparkle in the grass a few feet ahead of her. When she saw it it was a brown marble like thing she was curious about what it is so she put it in her saddle bags until she showed it to the professor back in Lumiose city.

"Twilight, come on!" Spike shouted.

"Coming Spike!" Twilight said.

And soon our heroes journey to Santalune City continues.

I decided to have Twilight catch a Pokémon that can Mega Evolve. So I chose one of my favorite normal types.
