Our heroes are now on their way to the Sycamore Pokémon lab to get Froakie healed up.

"This way! Hurry up!" Bonnie said.

"Okay! Froakie you've got to hang in there!" Ash said.

Then Bonnie turned to her brother and said "Clemont... go faster!"

"I'm running as fast as I can... Ash, Twilight, Spike don't wait for me... go ahead." Clemont said as he was running slowly.

"You got it Clemont." Twilight said.

"I can't believe how slow my brother is." Bonnie said.

Meanwhile with Team Rocket they have landed in a tree when they heard Bonnie's voice.

"Guys, this way." Bonnie said.

"Right!" Ash said.

"That's it the Sycamore Pokémon lab!" Bonnie said.

"Sycamore Pokémon lab?" Jessie said.

"It must be for studying Pokémon." James said.

"I'll wager all the strong and rare Pokémon in there would make you fall over." Meowth said.

Ash and his friends got into the lab looking for the Professor.

"Hello, Professor Sycamore, are you in here?" Twilight said.

" *Yawn* Coming. Huh?" Sycamore said as he walked to the entrance.

Ash looked at the Professor and said "Are you the Professor?"

Then the Professor saw that Froakie was injured.

"Froakie NO!" Sycamore said as he ran toward the group.

"You know this Froakie Professor?" Ash said.

"I sure do. Sophie come quick! We've been so worried about you. Your trainer has been in recent contact with us." Sycamore said as he picked Froakie up.

Then one of the Professors helpers named Sophie came running in.

"Froakie needs help." Sycamore said.

"Right!" Sophie said.

"Thanks Professor. We've been worried about Froakie too. So is Froakie's trainer on the way here now?" Ash said.

Then the Professor said to Ash. "I'm afraid not. He contacted us to let us know that he wanted to give up Froakie."

"Wait... give up Froakie?" Twilight said.

"I'm afraid so my little pony." Sycamore said.

Then Clemont came into the lab exhausted.

"You're so slow!" Bonnie said to her brother.

Then Clemont asked. "How's Froakie?"

When they went into another room they saw that Froakie was still being healed up by the healing machine.

"Poor Froakie." Ash said.

Then the Professor walked to the group and said. "There's nothing to worry about. Sophie is the absolute best as what she does."

"Great." Ash said.

Then they all sat down and introduced themselves.

"I'm Professor Sycamore. I'm a Pokémon researcher working here in Kalos." Sycamore said to the group.

"My name is Twilight Sparkle, but just call me Twilight Professor and this is my number one assistant Spike." Twilight said as she introduced herself and Spike to the Professor.

"Nice to meet you." Spike said.

"My name is Ash and this is my partner Pikachu." Ash said.

"My name is Bonnie and this is my big brother Clemont." Bonnie said.

"It's truly an honor to meet you Professor Sycamore." Clemont said.

"Spike and I got here today from Ponyville in Equestria that is in another world." Twilight said.

"Wow! From another world?" Sycamore said.

"That's right." Twilight said.

"And Pikachu and I got here from Pallet Town in the Kanto region."

"From Kanto?" Sycamore said.

"Right, I'm traveling on a journey so that I can become a Pokémon master." Ash said

"Then welcome. Forgive me for not thanking you yet for saving Froakie. I'm truly thankful." Sycamore said.

"The truth is Froakie saved us. So what's the deal with Froakie's trainer? What happened that would make him give Froakie up?" Ash asked the Professor.

Then the Professor explained about Froakie and about how several trainers returned it to him.

"Wait, you mean more than one?" Spike asked.

"I'm sure Froakie acts that way for a reason." Sycamore said.

Then they heard a Pokémon cry coming rom close by and they saw a Pokémon that Ash and Pikachu recognized. A Garchomp. They all went over see and/or pet the dragon-type Pokémon.

"Professor?" Clemont said. "I've heard a lot about your research on Pokémon evolution. Is it true?"

"Yeah, there are a lot more Pokémon living in my lab than Garchomp." Sycamore said.

As they went to see the other Pokémon Ash stayed behind for a little bit to see and thank Froakie for saving Pikachu. In the park Twilight, Spike and Bonnie were looking at the other Pokémon when Ash walked in. Then Twilight asked the professor about his research.

"Professor, what kind of evolution are you researching?" Twilight asked.

"Well if I told you that some Pokémon may have an additional evolutionary stage. What would you say?" Sycamore said.

"Are you serious?" Ash said.

"So you're say that Garchomp can still evolve!?" Clemont said.

"Possibly, that's my research." Sycamore said.

"Wow." Twilight said.

"Unbelievable." Clemont added.

"You see there are several reports about certain Pokémon evolving in a way that we researchers referred to it as Mega Evolution." Sycamore said.

"Mega Evolution?" Ash said.

Then the Professor continued. "A lot of it is still a mystery. But we believe that a strong bond between Pokémon and trainer as well as a special stone play an important role when evolving."

"Strong bond huh?" Ash said.

"And what's more a Pokémon is able to return to its previous form after it evolves this way." Sycamore said.

"It's a temporary evolution?!" Twilight said.

"That's right." Sycamore said."

But what they don't know is that Team Rocket was listening to every word that they said. So they decided to capture all of the Pokémon, including Pikachu, to learn about Mega Evolution. So they got into their disguises and went through the doors.

"We're here to do some research on Mega Evolution!" Jessie said.

When the group walked towards the three of them Twilight was suspicious about them. Then she saw the colored hair of Jessie and James and immediately know that they are not researchers.

"Nice try, but you are not fooling me... Team Rocket!" Twilight said as she used her magic to pull off the disguises.

"WHAT!?!" Ash said as he was surprised.

"How did you know it was us?!" James asked Twilight.

"When we first saw you I recognized the color of the hairs that you two have and plus I know your voices." Twilight said.

Then Twilight used her magic to launch them out of the lab and into the air again. Ash, Professor Sycamore, Clemont and Bonnie were surprised at to what Twilight did to them.

"Twilight, that was amazing! Even I couldn't see past their disguises." Ash said and Pikachu agrees.

"I agree with your friend here Twilight." Sycamore said. "And for that I decided to give you and your assistant Pokémon of your own."

Twilight and Spike were surprised to hear that they were given their own Pokémon. So they went with the professor to get their Pokémon. When they were given pokeballs the professor told them what Pokémon they are.

"Twilight, the one you have is one of the starter Pokémon new trainers can choose from. And for you Spike your Pokémon is a dragon type. Why don't you throw your pokeballs and see." Sycamore said.

So they did what the Professor said they threw their pokeballs and out comes a yellow and red fox Pokémon and for Spike it is a black and blue dragon Pokémon.

"Twilight, that is a Fennekin which is a fire type Pokémon, and Spike you have a deino which is a dragon and dark type.

"Thanks Professor." Both Twilight and Spike said.

So after a goods night's sleep at the professors lab Froakie decided to go with Ash and Pikachu and Twilight and spike agrees to go with Ash and Pikachu on his journey and soon Twilight wants to enter the Kalos league with Ash. So the lot of them were going to the Pokémon Center with Clemont and Bonnie leading the way to it.

"Good morning." said the nurse.

"Good morning to you Nurse Joy." Ash said.

"At this Pokémon Center helping Pokémon in need is our number one goal. We're here for trainers and Pokémon alike." Nurse Joy said.

"I was hoping that you can help me and my friend register for the Kalos League." Ash said.

"I sure can." Nurse Joy said. "If you please touch this panel with your Pokedex."

"I'll go first." Twilight said.

After Twilight got registered it was Ash's turn and once they got registered they got badge cases from a Pokémon called Wigglytuff.

"You two are all registered. Good luck, train hard, and always do your best." Nurse Joy said.

And so with that said Ash's and Twilight's journey to the Kalos region begins.
