Luigi...and Twilight's Mansion
Chapter 10: Bright Lights, Fun Sights and Deadly Frights
Previous ChapterNext Chapter“Ok, the rooms on the first floor made sense, I can see the magic rooms but this? This doesn’t belong in a palace!” I exclaimed.
“If you only saw the floors on my last adventure, this is nothing compared to them,” Luigi said.
“How did they even fit a Ferris wheel inside this castle?” I asked as we overlooked this haunted amusement park. They had all sorts of rides and attractions somehow in a palace. I didn’t question the logic because this wasn’t the time, I could do that later. “So, where do we even start to look?” I asked Luigi.
“Hm, I think it’s best if we just looked around…” Luigi said as we followed this yellow path below our legs and it led us to this ticket booth…and this massive statue of King Boo and Hellen.
“Wow, I will say, that’s an impressive statue, is that what King Boo looks like?” I asked.
“Yes, excpt far more terrifying…” Luigi said nervously.
“We got to get into that park!” I said as we tried to look around. “Wait, I see a door!” I said as I pointed to what looked like a door, the only issue? The statue of the two villains was blocking it completely, making any effort impossible. “So, we’re blocked? Just like that?” I asked when I felt the sound of a vibration.
“I think this is rather important,” Luigi said as he held the Virtual Boo in his hand. “Hey Egad, yep, we’re blocked, we’ll be there soon,” Luigi said as he got out the TV. Brace yourself,” Luigi said as we went through the TV, only this time, I didn’t feel like I was about to throw up thankfully.
“Luigi, Twilight, I presume your adventure is going well?” Egad asked with joy in his voice. “
As well as it can be, we found out something that could be bad news,” Luigi said.
“What is that old boy?” Egad asked.
“King Boo and Hellen released the magic sisters from my last adventure,” Luigi explained.
“I had a gut feeling that was bound to happen, was it harder to defeat them since I don’t see any energy spikes?” Egad asked.
“Well, it was easier with Twilight but still challenging,” Luigi said.
“Yes, those sisters weren’t playing games,” I said nervously.
“Hm, I sense that any returning ghost you two face will be harder than they once were back at The Last Resort, I can’t say what or if any more have returned but you’ll just have to wait and see, nevertheless, I sense that a statue has blocked your path?” Egad asked.
“Yes, this huge statue of King Boo and Hellen kinda prevents us from moving into that amusement park,” I explained.
“Not to worry, I have a solution!” Egad said as he picked up this plug with some sort of string on it.
“I give you, the Super Suction!” Egad said as he gave this device to Luigi.
“You remember the Super Suction back at the hotel, yes? This device is identical except that it can be used anywhere in the palace, but there is a small catch,” Egad explained.
“And what is this catch?” I asked.
“To use it anywhere, you need to attach it to Twilight’s horn, requiring some of your magic to power it up,” Egad explained.
“So I have to reduce my magic to use it?” I asked loudly.
“No, no, it won’t deplete your magic, it’ll just use it as an energy source, though I’m not fully sure what it’ll do to you Twilight,” Egad explained.
“Hm, I suppose we don’t have a better option right now,” I said.
“Don’t worry Twilight, I won’t let anything bad happen to you,” Luigi said as I felt his hand on my back as it comforted me.
“Now, I think you two have some redecorating to do,” Egad said.
“We do, we better do it now,” Luigi said as we were about to head back through the TV when we felt like the floor below us was starting to shake. “Uh, what’s that?” Luigi asked extremely worriedly.
“Nothing good,” Egad said as he typed something onto his monitor and showed it to us. “I’m detecting something extremely frightening is happening to this world, take a look outside!” Egad exclaimed as he showed us this picture of what seemed to be a purple reef in the sky.
“What is that?” Me and Luigi nervously asked.
“That appears to be a dimensional reef, something that splits the dimension we’re currently in and the space between another dimension, except now it’s starting to dissolve the space between,” Egad explained.
“So, is our world and other worlds on the line now?” Luigi asked nervously.
“There’s still so much I have yet to figure out and I can’t jump to conclusions, I have reason to think those ghosts are behind this but there are not enough answers, just try your hardest to defeat them quickly, maybe that’ll stop this before something catastrophic happens,” Egad explained.
“Wait…do you think…it’s because of me?” I asked nervously.
“No, this seems to have started before you entered this world, only now are the visible signs showing,” Egad explained.
“It’s not your fault Twilight, if anything, you’ve been helping more than not,” Luigi said as his words helped a little.
“Nevertheless, you two should get back in that palace and stop those ghosts before anything worse starts to happen,” Egad explained.
“Will do professor,” I said as me and Luigi said our goodbyes as we entered the TV once more and we reappeared back at the ticket booth. “Never mind, there’s the headache again,” I said, holding my head.
“Alright, how does this thing work?” Luigi asked as we looked at the Super Suction.
“Hm, I think I need to wrap the wire around me for it to work?” I asked.
“Right, let’s try that,” Luigi said as he then wrapped the wire around my horn and my magic then connected to the Super Suction while Luigi’s poultergust then began to glow a bright yellow.
“Oh, I love to do this!” Luigi said as he aimed the vacuum at the statue and slowly started to break the stature apart, sucking the remains into the poultergust one by one, even breaking apart the walls and floor until the door could be entered. When he was done, his poultergust stopped glowing as I felt my magic returning to me…as I fell to the ground and my head hit the floor.
