Isolated and Silenced

In Twilight Sparkle's castle, The Mane Six are gathered around the Cutie Map. For the past few weeks, there hadn’t been any missions for the Mane Six, well not beyond Equestria at least.

“We hadn’t had any missions outside of Equestria for the past few weeks, Twilight.” said Rainbow Dash.

“Yeah, Twilight. What’s going on?” asked Applejack, sounding very confused.

Twilight looks at the Cutie Map. The Cutie Map doesn’t do much, well not at first. But then, the Cutie Map starts to glow, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie’s cutie marks both appear on the map and they move to a group of islands in the South Celestial Sea.

“Eeeeeeeee, I’m on a mission!” squealed Pinkie Pie as she looked at her cutie mark on the map.

“Alright! Look at that. I’m finally on a mission after not being on one for a while” said Rainbow Dash with a cocky tone.

Just then, Rainbow Dash looks closer at the group of islands and she becomes very confused. Pinkie Pie also walks up to the Cutie Map and she’s also a bit confused about it.

“Uhhhhh, Twilight? What are those islands?” asked Rainbow Dash.

“These are a group of islands that are a part of the Overland.” replied Twilight Sparkle.

“The Overland? What’s that? Where is it?” asked Pinkie Pie excitedly as she jumped around.

“The Overland is a kingdom located in the South Celestial Sea. It consists of 10,000 islands big and small.” said Twilight Sparkle.

“10,000 islands?! That’s a lot of islands!” exclaimed Pinkie Pie before Rainbow Dash shushed her.

“Shush Pinkie!” said Rainbow Dash with an annoyed tone.

“Anyways, like I said. The Overland is a kingdom with 10,000 islands located in the South Celestial Sea. Each different island has a different culture or in some cases, multiple cultures.” explained Twilight Sparkle.

“Ooooooh, how many cultures?” asked Pinkie Pie.

“I heard there are over 1,000 different cultures in the Overland.” said Twilight Sparkle.

“1,000 cultures in one kingdom?! But that’s a lot of cultures for just one kingdom.” exclaimed Rainbow Dash.

“Well if the Overland is a kingdom, then who’s the ruler?” asked Rarity.

“Princess Ikatan, better known as Princess Ika is the ruler of the Overland. She has been a ruler since she was 12 years old.”

“Did you just say she was 12 years old when she succeeded her mom?” asked Applejack.

“How old is Princess Ika now?” asked Fluttershy.

“She is 29 years old now.” replied Twilight Sparkle.

Suddenly, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie’s cutie marks glowed on the map, indicating that it was time for Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash to go to the Overland.

“Well, it is time for you and Pinkie to go to the Overland. You don’t want to be late for your friendship mission do you?” said Twilight Sparkle.

“Nope, we don’t want to be late for our mission! Right Rainbow Dash?” said Pinkie Pie as she turned to face Rainbow Dash.

“Uh… Yeah…… we don’t want to be late for our friendship mission…” replied Rainbow Dash with an unamused look on her face. She doesn’t seem too happy to be paired up with Pinkie Pie for this friendship mission.
