The alarm on my charged Iphone blares loudly in my bedroom and when it did, my eyes groggily adjusted to the brightness of the ceiling whilst I grunted in bed and got up to my feet as I headed to the bathroom. When I arrived inside, I relieved and washed myself, and I went back to the my bedroom in which I unplugged my phone from the charger; I looked at the time and knew one thing: It's time to open my store

Oh sorry, I need some introductions, my name is Jose DeMott and I'm 22 years old, and if you ask me on where I live, reader? Then, I'm currently living in Equestria and to be exact, Ponyville; I was born in Quezon City, Philippines but had to move to San Francisco, California, USA along with my parents, Ronaldo and Danielle as well as my younger brother, Andoy. When I was young, my parents told me that they once had a Sari-Sari Store back in Quezon City and I was fascinated by their stories, even showing me and Andoy pictures of their store which caused me to love having a Sari-Sari Store someday

When we heard of the portals to a magical land called Equestria open for Earth so that people and Equestrians can visit for fun or for work, I took the opportunity to live there instead of any other place; I could recall on them asking me if I want to be in pony form or in normal form and when I asked on what my pony form would be, they said I would turn into an Earth Pony stallion with a yellow-orange coat, a short chestnut mane and tail, and a cutie mark of a cash register. But I decided to keep my normal form since there are some advantages and disadvantages of being an Earth Pony and I'm not complaining about it to be honest

I went to Equestria and then headed towards Ponyville which is well known for many antics and where Twilight Sparkle and her friends did adventures, big and small. There, I went to the town hall and there I met Mayor Mare in which I told her that I wanted to set up my house as well as a small store in there too and she acknowledged it. She then called out the real estate agent and had me sign the documents for me so that I can move in to my new home and when it was done, they showed me my house and it was exactly I needed; Afterwards, I paid the exact amount of bits that I exchanged my Dollars to Bits and settled in to my new home

Over the next months, I built up my own Sari-Sari Store containing local goods in Equestria and some imported goods from the Philippines and America. When it was done, I had a soft opening of the store and almost every creature in Equestria and Beyond wanted to buy some snacks, drinks, frozen foods, school supplies, etc.; Word got out of my small store and now, almost every Equestrian wanted to visit it and buy some goods inside this foreign store

But anyways, I'm losing track here, so back to where I was right now; I went downstairs and had breakfast which were Eggo Chocolate Chip Waffles that were topped with butter and maple syrup along with a cup of Milo with milk and finally washing it down with a glass of water in order to get rid of the sugar in my body. After breakfast, I headed back upstairs and took a bath, wore a new set of clothes which were a plain white, short-sleeved shirt, black shorts, and my red Converse Chuck Taylors. When I was done, I looked at my phone and the time now read, "8:00 AM", and I knew that it was time to open the store in order to start business

I headed outside and then, I opened the binds of my Sari-Sari Store as well as picking up the local newspaper and flipping the CLOSED sign to OPEN. I then patiently waited for customers to arrive and sure enough, many ponies and other creatures entered my store, buying some food, drinks, body care, or whatever they feel that it's a need or want thing likely. I gave some customers their exact change and helped others who have trouble with anything. This has been a normal routine that I've gotten used to and I feel like I've already known everypony living in this place

I checked my phone and the time now read, "10:30 AM", and it has gotten a bit boring lately, so with no time to waste, I decided to pass the time while waiting for a customer/s to arrive in my store as I left a bit and entered my house so that I can get my Ipad and watch some videos or play some games. But when I arrived back to my store, I heard 3 voices talking and those voices started to come closer and closer, thus knowing that they were arriving at the store to buy something

"Okay, it says "Jose's Sari-Sari Store", and 'Sari-Sari' means 'variety' in Ponish, right?", said a mare with a bit of a high pitch voice that reminds me of a cute anime character to be honest

"Yup! And it looks like that this one is different since this is from our homeland of Equestria, rather than the Philippines when we visited that beautiful country for our little vacation. Can you believe it?! A Sari-Sari Store in the land of Equestria and to be exact, Ponyville!", another mare with a voice that sounded like those young women in a mall, chatting away like it's nothing personal to them

"Okay, ladies; let's not waste time and head inside so that we can buy something, got it?", a stallion's deep voice came last in my ears and the mares nodded in unison with "Mhm's"

I then saw the silhouettes of 3 ponies that I've never seen before and they were in the forms of an Earth Pony stallion, a Pegasus mare, and last but not the least, a unicorn mare. They were checking on some products that were local to them and others that we're foreign to their land, their eyes brimming with curiosity over the imported goods whilst trying to think on what to buy. After a long time, the unicorn decided to buy some Lucky Me Original Instant Pancit Canton while the Pegasus chose 2 cans of Sunkist Strawberry Lemonade Soda for herself and her friend, and last but not the least, the Earth Pony picked out a bag of Chippy BBQ corn chips and a bottle of water

The trio headed towards the counter and the Earth Pony stallion volunteered to greet me as he cleared his throat and spoke to me, "Magandang umaga po, Sir. Kumusta na kayo?"

"Okay lang. There's no need to use Tagalog since I can speak English too.", I replied back and that caused him to be surprised along with his 2 friends

"Oh, we're sorry.", the Pegasus mare profusely apologized to me, "We thought that you wouldn't speak Pon- English I mean, so that's why we had to learn Tagalog in order to communicate with you"

I smiled and dismissingly waved my hand, "It's okay. Though I'm impressed that you've visited my birthplace despite me, moving to another country. I assume that you've seen such beautiful landmarks in there?", I asked

"We sure did!", the unicorn mare giddily replied with a big smile on her face, "Your country is a beautiful land to visit and the Filipinos are so hospitable to us too.", she then remembered something, "Oh I almost forgot! Introductions. My name is Diamond Jubilee and these are my friends, Little Cloud and Shine Treat", she pointed her hoof to them and her friends waved at me

I chuckled at their cheerful personalities as I introduced myself, "Well then, my name is Jose DeMott and I'm the owner of this place. You're welcome to visit here anytime."

"Thanks", they said in unison

And with that, they decided to pay up and I gave them their change. The ponies then left the store, saying goodbye to me and waving their hooves and I responded by waving my hand at them. Equestria never disappointed me since the day I resided in here and set up my store and I know that surprises can come in anytime and anywhere

But little did I know that I will be getting a massive surprise to someones I've never seen again since I visited them for the holidays.
