Sonata and Adagio want to find the happiness their sister had found.
The Siren’s history and siren lore is loosely based on parts of:

Both by same author. Artistic license has been taken.
Many see Sonata as simple and naïve. But sometimes wisdom can be mistaken as foolishness.

Note: Adagio’s nickname is Dagi but it is pronounced like Dodgy, so that is how I have written to make it easier on my poor mind. I double checked it with author of the above references. Thank you.
Epilogue One More Joy
Adagio had ridden with Aria and Mike to Sonata and Fluttershy’s. So on the ride back, Mike and Aria were chatting away, not really noticing Adagio’s uncharacteristic silence.
When they arrived at the Chips house, Adagio Hugged and kissed Mike and Aria and crossed the lawn to her own dark house.
Removing her keys from her purse she approached her own door. But before she unlocked the door she saw the small package against the door.
Aria looked at the label and smiled.
Inside, Aria went upstairs to take a shower, put on some comfy pajamas. She then went into the kitchen to make a cup of Chamomile tea.
Sitting on the sofa with the reading light on, she opened the package and read over the included form letter from the Camelot Archives Office. Adagio smiled so hard it hurt but she didn’t care. She had in her possession the one thing she knew that could get her the job she wanted. Not so much needed.
“So they finally believed me,” said Aria out loud.
She then opened the part that held a large framed document.
It was a diploma with the ribbons and seal of the Canterlot Academy of Music. It was a modern award but actually dated over six hundred years ago.
But the most important part was the inscription:
The smile actually hurt as she sat in her living room in the subdued lighting and the quiet that she now craved.
To be continued…
Prologue Where We Left Off
Adagio was acting mad, but she was really disappointed and painfully jealous. Sonata, didn’t want to leave but Adagio was pulling her by the hand.
Halfway down the path to the gate, Sonata stopped and easily pulled her hand free of Adagio’s grip. She was, after all, the strongest of the three. Sonata then turned around and stood there looking back at the happy lights coming through the windows of Aria’s house.
She was thinking how happy Aria was. She felt the joy of being with the children. Not just playing with them but they looking to her as family and an adult that they loved. Even in fun, they were taking her seriously.
It made her happy, a happiness she’d never felt before, even at an all-you-can-eat taco bar. She was truly feeling Aria’s happiness, even if it were just a sample of it vicariously.
She looked at Adagio.
“Dodgy,” there were tears in her eyes as she reached to her neck then handed her choker with her gem to Adagio, “I’m not going either.”
“The Tartarus you’re not, Nat!”
“I want what Aria has!” demanded Sonata, “I want a husband and a family! I want children!
I can’t have that in Equestria.
And a predator is always starving, I don’t want to feel that way ever again. I want to be happy. As happy as Aria! I’m sorry Dodgy.”
Sonata quickly kissed Adagio and hugged her before Adagio could react. However before Adagio could say anything, Sonata ran to the still unlocked door and went into Aria’s house, closing the door behind herself. There was excited noise from within.
Adagio stomped off madder than she’d ever been, which was saying something. She went straight to CHS where she went through the portal and was determined she’d never return to this world that’d taken everything from her.
Her voice.
Her powers…
And now her sisters!
She went to step through the portal but then she realized, she hadn’t moved from the spot in front of Aria’s house.
Cruelly, it’d all had played out in her mind.
Adagio was looking down at Sonata’s gem. There were tears pouring down on her hand and onto the gem. In her long life, she’d never been this sad and lonely as she felt now. Nor had she ever cried this hard.
But Sonata was right, she realized that she’d always felt sad, incomplete, angry and hungry. And seeing Aria’s joy put it into stark contrast.
Try as she might, she couldn’t get her feet to take her out the gate and into the street.
She just stood there crying a paroxysm of sobs, hearing sounds of joy from within.
Then with a great force of will, two gems fell to the sidewalk. And with all the strength of the siren, her heel came down on them. They were pulverized to dust. Adagio bent over and scooped up as much as she could, her foot scattered the rest.
She’d have to apologize later for the crack in the path.
As Micro, Aria and the girls were hugging and welcoming Sonata. Suddenly and unexpectedly, the front door opened.
Adagio was standing in the doorway still crying. In her hand was a bit of red crystalline dust which she poured out then wiped her hand clean. Aria and Sonata realized what it was. A breeze blew it away before it touched the porch.
Aria and Sonata noticed Adagio’s choker was gone.
“May I come in?” said Adagio, tears pouring down her cheeks. “I really don’t have anywhere I can go now. And I don’t want to be without any of my sisters again!”
The sisters hugged Adagio with tears of joy. Two little girls hugged the Aunts and Micro put his hands on the newcomer’s shoulders in welcome.
Adagio had never felt such joy in her long life!
Author's Note
This is the second in my Reformed Sirens Series.
About 6 months later…
Sonata stretched as the sun shown through her window, she sat up. After six months she was still happy that she now had her own room and her own bed she didn’t have to share if she didn’t want to, although she hadn’t up to this point. With one exception. And not competing to find the best place to sleep in the van. It was the first time ever that they’d had a home of their own.
And now she had a job she enjoyed. Not like the past, making money and lodging by allowing herself to be used. It was disgusting that from almost the beginning, some men thought that because they paid for your ‘favors’, they were entitled to do whatever they wanted to you.
The first man that made the mistake and thought it was appropriate to abuse her was met with Sonata catching his hand mid-action and asking him not to do that. That was followed by him laughing and slapping her hard with the back of his other hand. He quit laughing when she returned the slap hard enough to fracture and dislocate his jaw.
She knew that this was not Equus where she couldn’t slip back into the sea and leave no trace. So she couldn’t have easily gotten away with slapping him hard enough to snap his neck.
But now, it’d been about four hundred years since she’d had a bright, clean and pretty room of her own.
Adagio thought the choice of wallpaper was a little juvenile with the fluffy kitties and puppies. But it made Sonata happy so she didn’t care. Plus her nieces, Aria’s children, had helped her pick it out. The girls were attaching themselves to Sonata not only as a playmate, but almost like a 2nd mother.
Sonata loved them more than tacos.
The house that she and Adagio were sharing was next door to Aria and Mike’s home. Their sister and brother-in-law had insisted that they buy them the vacant house next to theirs. Aria thought it best to have them close as they made the adjustment.
It’d been easy for Aria. She had her motivation in the form of a smart and humble man. Now she was hoping that she could help her sisters to find some happiness as well.
It wasn’t like Adagio, Sonata and even Aria were without money. They had actually a respectable sum in the Bank of Equestria. Believe it or not, it was Sonata’s idea. And over a thousand year period they had accumulated a tidy sum.
There were two problems.
First, it was required all three sisters to withdraw any of the money. That way one couldn’t empty the sum on a whim and the reason Aria had lived above a brothel and worked at a diner. She had left the sisters so that she couldn’t gain any funds that way. But neither could Adagio or Sonata.
And second, because they had lived ‘on the run’, it was easy to deposit but hard to withdraw.
But the interest had built up over the years.
The house had taken several weeks to get set up the way Adagio and Sonata wanted. Most of the décor reflected musical and nautical themes as per Adagio’s wishes. But some were quite whimsical reflecting Sonata’s tastes. They’d even taken down the fence that divided the back yards so the families could interact more easily.
“Sonata!” came the voice from downstairs, “get your arse down here or you can make your own breakfast!”
“Coming!” shouted Sonata.
Sonata stretched and the covers fell from her as she sat up. As she stood up, she looked at her nude self in the full length mirror. She’d never said anything to Aria or Adagio but she liked this curvy body so much better than her siren body. What Sonata didn’t know was that Aria and Adagio thought the same about themselves.
Adagio heard footsteps coming down the stair.
“Good morning Dodgy,” said Sonata, embracing Adagio from behind. One hand ‘just happened’ to be on her breast, and she was kissing Adagio on the neck in her favorite spot. Adagio didn’t mind.
“Smells so good…” Giggled Sonata, “so does the food.”
“Thank you,” said Adagio smiling, it was something Adagio was doing so much more than in the past. Adagio really liked the feeling. She turned in the embrace to face her sister, then with shock, “NAT! You know the girls1 are coming over, how do you know that they’re not already here? Get your arse upstairs and get dressed!”
“But you said to come down stairs right away.”
“You can take some time to put your bloody clothes on!”
“You didn’t mind last night in my room!”
Adagio blushed brightly. Sonata giggled and groped Adagio’s arse. Then she let go and went to the stair. Sonata had done this because Adagio was so insistent for her to come down to breakfast.
Plus it was a tease.
Sonata went back up the stair, Adagio was smiling as her hands rubbed her own breast and arse where her sister just had a feel, as she watched Sonata’s arse and her ‘goodies’ all on display as she walked away. They’d never told anyone, but in the past, from time to time, they’d had ‘slept’ with each other. Yes they were sisters, but not sisters by blood. And they all needed relief in times of stress when they were on the run. Plus it did reinforce the bond between them.
But now there were nights that the two would watch a movie, get distracted, start making out and the next morning they were in the same bed.
Sonata came down stairs in her work uniform. Of course she was working at the local Enchilada Gong . Adagio was afraid that Sonata would get fired for eating all the profits. But Sonata was smarter than she acted. She had a great way with the customers and made sure that the product was up to her standards of tastiness.
Plus everyone loved her.
“Don’t forget that I’ll have the girls over today because of the funeral.” Said Adagio, “I know they may’ve wanted to have you watch them, but I told them that you had to work. Plus they like my voice lessons.”
“I know Dodgy,” said Sonata, “give the little angels kisses for me.”
Adagio just nodded as she sat at the table and set the plates in front of her and Sonata.
Sonata took Adagio’s hand leaned over and gave her a quick girly kiss.
“Thank you for cooking, Dodgy, I love how you take care of me now.”
“Well,” said Adagio snickering, “I have to cook, or I’ll have to eat taco’s morning, noon and night!”
Sonata and Adagio laughed together. They both were still amazed how happy and closer they and Aria had become, it felt so good.
After eating, Sonata washed, dried and put the dishes away. Adagio then walked her sister to the door and surprised Sonata with a long and loving kiss. Yes, it would be disturbing to many that ‘sisters’ were kissing, tongue and all. But they were sisters in the pod and out of necessity, but not by blood. So it could be forgiven.
“I’m sorry that I took you and Aria for granted for so long.”
“It’s okay, Dodgy. We three have made up and put the past in the past.” Sonata kissed Adagio an equal kiss. “But the loving we now share is nice. And if you ever find a guy, it’d be okay if you gave him all your attention.”
“I don’t think so Nat,” said Adagio smiling.
Adagio and Sonata had become that much closer, to an extent, after Aria left them about fifteen years ago. Even as assertive and pushy as Adagio had been and how cold Aria had been to Sonata, they only had become closer to their sister.
Adagio and Aria may have been cold and domineering in the past, but Faust help anyone else who might belittle or try to take advantage of Sonata, other than themselves.
‘That’s our job!’ they’d joke.
The two laughed as they opened the door in time to see their nieces about to enter. The girls looked at their aunts and hugged and kissed them both.
“I’ll see you later, girls” said Sonata.
“Goodbye auntie Nat,” said little Adagio.
“Bring us back some tacos please!” said little Sonata.
“I don’t know if your mother likes Nat doing that,” said Adagio.
But Sonata winked.
“You know I will,” said Sonata, “and if your mother says anything, she won’t get any, neither will auntie Dodgy!”
They all laughed as Sonata walked away to catch the bus to work.
As Sonata walked by Aria’s house, her sister was standing on the porch.
“Have a good day at work, Nat.”
“Thanks Aria, give my love to Mike.”
Sonata continued around the corner and to the bus stop on the other end of the block, just as the bus was arriving. She showed her bus pass and took a seat. In their past, the only time they paid attention to their surroundings was to figure the best exit route out of town. But it’d been a couple hundred years since they had to flee crowds with torches and pitchforks. But then there was the police and deputy sheriffs to avoid. But she now enjoyed watching people and the parks.
The bus stopped in front of the Enchilada Gong and Sonata exited the conveyance. Sonata took out her key, opened the door and went in to start prepping for the day.
“Sonata!” said the boss, “I’m happy to know you’ll always be here on time. I count on you so much.”
“Thank you sir,” said Sonata as she started her pre-opening duties.
“I have a bit of news for you.”
“What’s that sir?”
“I’m sorry,” said the boss, “but with how hard you work and as much pride you put into your job, not to mention never complaining on whatever duties I give you, I’m sorry to say I can’t pay you as much as I have been.”
Sonata felt let down a bit, but her smile never wavered.
“That’s okay, sir,” said Sonata.
“Yes, but it was something I felt led to do. So as of now, you have a three bit an hour raise.” The boss chuckled to see her face brighten even more.
“Thank you, sir,” said Sonata.
“Well it’s only fair that the new Assistant Manager gets a pay that matches.”
“Assistant Manager ?”
The boss shook his head. Sonata forgot herself and rushed and hugged the man. Almost too tight.
“Wow! What a grip you have!”
“Sorry sir,” said Sonata blushing.
“This is contingent on one thing,” said the man.
Sonata was almost afraid that this was a setup for some physical favor.
“What’s that sir?”
“That you call me Bill, you’re management now after all.” He handed her a new name badge.
ENCHILADA GONG
Sonata Dusk
Assistant Manager
She hugged him again, albeit not as tight.
“Okay Sonata, we need to get the restaurant ready to open.”
“No problem… Bill”
Sonata was known for her smile, but today, all her co-workers were almost blinded by the extra large smile she wore. She didn’t brag about the promotion, but all the others noticed the new name badge, and would congratulate her.
ACT TWO The Sorrow Of Two Widows
The Equestria Flag was folded respectfully and ceremoniously. The officer saluted the flag before receiving it from the NCO. It was passed to the officer and the NCO saluted the flag. Then with marching-like movements, the officer did an About Face and walked solemnly to the widow, who was holding an infant. The officer kneeled down and presented the flag to her. The woman handed her baby to her mother, seated beside her.
“Mrs. Wood, a grateful Equestria presents you with the flag your husband fought so valiantly to defend,” said the officer.
Then he displayed a medal in it’s presentation case.
“The Queen bestows, posthumously, the Equestrian Pink Heart of Courage , our nation's highest honor, for giving his life to save his entire platoon.”
She reached for the flag and medal and clutched them tightly to her chest, trying to hold back the tears.
The officer stood, saluted and marched away for the rest of the graveside service. There was a gun salute of three volleys which got the baby crying. The widow put the items in her lap and took her baby from her mother and cried with the infant. She didn’t hear much of the rest of the service.
With the service over, the widow was taken to Aria and Micro Chips’ house for a reception. There was gathered the widow’s friends and her husband’s friends as well. Twilight and Sunset Sparkle-Shimmer, Rainbow and Applejack Apple, Pinkie and Cheese Sandwich also Rarity. There were others as well, they were all at the Chip’s home because Sandal Wood had been Micro’s best friend since elementary school.
There was quiet conversation and words of comfort which the widow received with the best smile she could manage. Her child was being passed between family and friends. Aria and Micro’s daughters were being watched by Adagio for the funeral, Sonata would’ve done it but she’d had to work.
Everyone was slightly afraid of letting Pinkie and Cheese plan the reception, but it was done tastefully and respectfully.
As people ate finger foods and sipped coffee or punch, they would sit with the widow and talk quietly with her about their fond memories of Sandal Wood from high school, their wedding and other times.
The thing they most avoided is how Sandal didn’t get to meet his son. Being he’d been deployed to the war in the Arimaspi Territory just before his wife gave birth.
But soon enough, the widow said she needed some fresh air. Everybody understood that she needed to get away from this for a moment so they let her go outside and sit on the porch swing.
Sonata had got off the bus just on the next block over. Adagio and she had bought a new van, more like a RV, to replace the old piece of junk they’d lived out of for years in the past. Sonata didn’t know how to drive and didn’t care to learn. So she’d often have Aria drive her as she took the girls to school. But she took the bus because she knew that Aria and Micro had the funeral reception today.
Sonata was walking the self-same sidewalk that she and Adagio had walked when they were looking for Aria six months ago to let her know that they’d found a way for them to return to their Equestria. Now every time she’d walk this way, she always felt that it may lead to some new discovery.
As she turned the corner, she saw someone she knew sitting on Aria’s front porch swing. The person was crying hard. Instead of going home, she walked up Aria’s path, up the three steps to the porch. There she sat by the woman, put her bag of tacos down and put an arm around her and spoke softly to her.
“Oh Fluttershy, I’m so sorry,” said Sonata. “Believe it or not, I know your pain.”
“How could you know!” said Fluttershy bitterly lashing out. “All you’ve ever done was caused pain in the past!”
Sonata stifled a sob. Fluttershy couldn’t tell if it was because what or how she’d said it or something else. But she hadn’t pulled away from Sonata either.
“In… In the past, I had a husband. He perished in the Griffin War,” Sonata said, her voice starting to crack.
“The Griffin War? That was over four hundred years ago!” said Fluttershy astonished. Then she remembered that Sonata was not quite human, or at least she hadn’t been.
“I…” Fluttershy’s voice softened. “I didn’t know.”
Fluttershy took Sonata’s hand as they sat close.
“He was a handsome officer and his love kept me from having to feed off of negative emotions. I guess love really is stronger than hate.”
“What happened?” asked Fluttershy sympathetically .
Sonata was starting to cry.
“He fell in the final battle as he led the last charge against the Griffin despot, he was mortally wounded as he personally dispatched the evil tyrant.”
Sonata released Fluttershy’s hand and reached into her purse to take out of a protective pouch, a medal. It was the Equestrian Pink Heart of Courage . It was an older version of what had been presented to Fluttershy this morning. Fluttershy was quiet as she absorbed this. Then a thought hit her.
“He… He was General Silver Star?” said Fluttershy astonished. “I… I’ve seen paintings of him!”
Another memory hit Fluttershy.
“Wait! I remember the portrait that hangs in almost every school. I never realized… You’re the one they call The Blue Lady in the painting. I don’t know how I’d never recognized you before!”
“I’m sure that my sisters and I were distracting you,” said Sonata sniffling. She took a couple of napkins out of the food bag and handed one to Fluttershy and they both wiped their eyes and noses.
“Oh Sonata,” said Fluttershy, taking Sonata’s hand again, her voice had become a mixture of pain, and regret, “you really do know. I’m so sorry as well.”
The two embraced and cried hard on each other.
Aria had been at the screen door and overheard the whole thing. She didn’t know how she didn’t remember this. Aria reflected that she had always been the most apathetic to the feelings of her sister.
Sonata had been the only one of them that had ever taken a husband.
A tear rolled down her cheek. Not so much for the sorrow of the past, but she had remembered how cold she and Adagio had been to Sonata when she lost Silver Star, especially herself.
Only now did she realize the pain Sonata had suffered for centuries after, remembering how Sonata never smiled for years after that. All she and Adagio would tell her is to stop acting like that:
‘He was just a human!’
‘What horrible bitches we really were… What a horrible bitch I really was,’ thought Aria ashamedly to herself remembering that she had always been the colder of the three. ‘We never tried to understand the pain Nat went through. I don’t know how Nat never hated us for that.’
Aria went back in to the reception, hugged Mike and had a quiet cry of shame. Mike held her without asking anything, he was sure Aria would tell him later. Now, he was here for his wife, who had episodes like this in the past.
Sonata and Fluttershy got control of their crying just hugging the other.
“I have to go home and change out of my work clothes, plus give the girls the tacos I promised.” Said Sonata, then she reached into the paper bag and handed a taco to Fluttershy who smiled and gave a small chuckle at the gesture. “Would it be okay to come back over here after I do that?”
“Of course, Sonata,” said Fluttershy, her gentle voice returning, “I’d really like that.”
They gave each other a girly kiss and Sonata got up and walked off to the house next door.
Fluttershy returned to the reception.
Sonata entered her home and she was immediately set upon by two little girls who hugged her tightly.
“Auntie Nat!” they cried out.
Sonata bent over and hugged the girls warmly, she was trying to not show she’d been crying.
“Hello girls!” said Sonata.
She kissed both of them and stood up, reaching into her apron pocket, she brought out two large cookies and gave them to the girls. Then she put the bag of tacos on the table.
“Thank you auntie Nat!” they said and scurried away to the kitchen to get some milk.
Adagio was finishing a phone call. When done, she half-hardly scolded Sonata.
“You are spoiling the girls, Nat. Not only that, but you’re spoiling their dinner.”
“They are my nieces too, Dodgy,” said Sonata giggling, “and I’ll spoil them all I want.”
“Well get changed,” said Adagio, “that was Aria and she said that Fluttershy was expecting you back over there.”
“Okay Dodgy,” said Sonata giving her sister an extended hug. Then she turned and went upstairs to change.
They still had some of the sense of the sirens. With that, Adagio could detect the sadness that was in Sonata’s heart.
‘Silver Star,’ thought Adagio to herself. She was scolding herself badly. ‘Oh Nat, how blind we were, how can we ever make it up to you?’
Sonata entered Aria’s house and she was hugged by her sister. It was an extended hug and Sonata felt her sister’s regrets. Quietly she found a seat in a corner as to not interrupt the conversations that were going on. But soon, Sonata was called over by Fluttershy and motioned her to sit. Fluttershy handed her infant to Sonata. The baby was getting quite fussy. But almost like magic, the child was enraptured by the person holding him.
“He’s beautiful, Fluttershy,” said Sonata. “I’m sorry, but what’s his name?”
Fluttershy’s hand rested on Sonata’s arm as she held the child.
“His father had wanted to name a boy Pine,” said Fluttershy. “He’d always loved that name.”
“A very strong name for a very nice baby,” replied Sonata as she hugged the child and kissed his forehead, the child laughed. Fluttershy could tell that Sonata was holding back tears. “I wish I could’ve had a child. You don’t know how lucky you are.”
In the midst of this grief, Fluttershy was presented a thought that helped take a tiny bit of the sting of loss away. More than any other ‘words of comfort’ received today. She was only realizing that Sandal was still with her through their child.
Finding someone, who before now, she never thought she could have anything in common with. Now this onetime adversary had more in common with her than all her friends.
Through the rest of the reception, Fluttershy and Sonata sat together talking quietly, passing the baby when some of the friends weren’t there talking to Fluttershy. As people were starting to leave, Fluttershy looked strangely at Sonata.
“Sonata,” said Fluttershy, “this has brought back so much hurt, and I guess for both of us. Sandal left for the war almost nine months ago, and I’ve just had Pine and myself at home. Mother comes by often but dad’s health isn’t the best so she has to go home at night, leaving me alone with the baby. And my brother, though I love him, in things like this… actually in everything like this, he’s next to worthless.
I know in the past, you and I weren’t on the best terms, but from what I’ve seen with Aria and what she tells me, you aren’t the person I knew back at CHS.”
“That is so true,” said Sonata with a smile.
“You don’t have to do it if you’re uncomfortable, but would you come over for the night? After what had happened today, I really don’t want to be alone. And I think you can really understand that.”
Sonata smiled and hugged Fluttershy warmly.
“I understand,” said Sonata smiling. “I’ll have to let Dodgy know, she worries. And I don’t have to work for the next couple days.”
Fluttershy smiled and hugged Sonata again.
“Give Aria your address and Dodgy will drive me,” said Sonata.
“Are you going to be okay, Nat?” asked Adagio driving to the address Aria had relayed to her.
“Yes Dodgy, I actually think it’ll help me as much as it could Fluttershy.”
“About that,” said Adagio sadly, “Aria and I are so sorry about the way we acted in the past.”
“I know the two of you acted like that because you never really loved anyone in that way. In a way, I was sad for the two of you.”
“That doesn’t excuse us,” said Adagio.
“No, but I loved you then and still do. If you can’t forgive a sister, who can you?”
Adagio pulled into the driveway of the address she was given. She turned quickly and hugged Sonata.
“I love you Nat and so does Aria. We don’t deserve a sister like you.”
“I love the both of you as well,” said Sonata, kissing Adagio.
Sonata got out at Fluttershy’s address. It was a very nice house, just two levels but larger than her own. Sonata waved to Adagio as she drove off. She adjusted the bag on her shoulder as she walked to the front of the house, where she knocked on the door.
ACT THREE Nothing But Everything In Common
Fluttershy was quickly at the door and beckoned Sonata to come in. They exchanged a friendly hug, then Fluttershy led Sonata up to a spare bedroom where she put her bag, then they went down to the living room to a sofa and sat. There was already two glasses of wine along with some leftover finger foods from the reception. Fluttershy handed one glass of wine to Sonata. They both took a sip and smiled at each other.
“I’m so glad you came, Sonata. I haven’t had people over in quite a while, except my mother.”
“I’m glad as well, I don’t get out much except to go to work or to go out with Dodgy or Aria, Mike and the girls.”
“Sounds like a very nice family.”
“The best I’ve had in over a thousand years,” replied Sonata.
Fluttershy sat quiet for a moment.
“You and your sisters are really over a thousand years old?”
“Yes, actually older, but we, or at least, I don’t think of it that way.”
“How so?” asked Fluttershy.
“Well, back on Equuis…”
“Equuis?” interrupted Fluttershy.
“You know about Equestria, right?”
Fluttershy nodded.
“Well Equestria is the main kingdom on Equuis. But Equuis it the name of the world. There’s more there than just the land of Equestria.”
“Oh,” said Fluttershy in understanding.
“For many hundreds of years, none of us remember how many, we lived as sirens. You saw a ghostly form of us at the Battle of the Bands . That is until we were banished here a little over a thousand years ago by an Equestrian wizard. Here we took on the form of you humans. Yes we still had our powers and immortality. We lived our life on the run for over ten centuries. Causing hate and anger, never staying in one place too long. The exception was a little over four hundred years ago when I fell in love with Silver Star.
I was with him twenty nine years and my sisters tried to stay in the background. With the war going on, there was enough negative emotions that they didn’t have to ‘hunt’ the way we had. They only had to be near. That’s how I came to meet and fall in love with Silver Star. We were married and tried to make a life as much as a soldier could.
All the while, Adagio and Aria were trying to get me to leave. But I stayed with my husband until he was killed.”
Sonata stopped, her eyes were filling with tears. Fluttershy handed Sonata a tissue and kept one for herself. Sonata continued, having to wipe her tears once in a while.
“We lived like that up until the Battle of the Bands . You know what happened there. We were panicked, we thought we were going to die with our gems shattered, and if were we back on Equuis we would’ve.
Things got hard for us, we couldn’t sing like we used to. We were so depressed, Aria had enough and left us.
It took us fourteen years of searching for a way to return to Equuis and a way to get our powers back, and then to find Aria.
We did find a way and we searched and finally found Aria. But to our surprise, Aria had changed totally. She’d met Mike and fell in love. She’d gotten rid of what was left of her siren stone, which turned out to be the magic that kept Dodgy, Aria and me from conceiving children in the past.
When we discovered this, after some disagreements, Dodgy and I destroyed what was left of our gems.
You can say that one life ended when we were banished here, another life ended when we destroyed our gems and became fully human. So you don’t need to think of me, or us as ancient creatures. We’re now just women for all intents and purposes, about the same age as you and your friends.”
Fluttershy had an odd look on her face.
“What’s wrong?”
“That’s a lot to take in,” said Fluttershy. “Do you regret making the decision to give all that up?”
Sonata took Fluttershy’s hand and looked into her eyes.
“Not one bit. We’re happier now than ever before. And we still have some of our powers.”
“Like what?”
“Well, even though we can’t sing like before, we still have perfect pitch. We can accurately sense what people are feeling and best of all…”
Sonata let go of Fluttershy’s hand, stood and bent down and gripped a leg of the couch with one hand and without getting off balance, Sonata lifted the sofa and Fluttershy, apparently with ease. Fluttershy’s head almost bumped the ceiling. She squealed like a little girl. Sonata was afraid that she scared Fluttershy, but from the smile, she knew different.
“Oh my gosh!” said Fluttershy as Sonata sat her back down and sat with Fluttershy again. Fluttershy quickly took Sonata’s hand. “Maybe we should’ve been nicer back at CHS!”
Fluttershy and Sonata laughed, they hugged the other as they got their mirth under control.
The laughing stopped, they loosened their embrace, looked into each other’s eyes, and smiled. Neither one knew why they wanted to kiss the other, but they thought it was inappropriate. At least at this time.
“Also, we haven’t decided if we need to see a dentist.”
“What for?” asked Fluttershy.
Sonata smiled very wide and showed that her canines were long like fangs.
“Wow, I guess I need to be careful!” said Fluttershy.
“It’s okay, Fluttershy. I only nibble!” Said Sonata with a wink and grin.
Sonata and Fluttershy giggled at what was being hinted at.
“So where’s Pine?” asked Sonata, looking around.
“My mother took him home with her. She said I needed some time to myself.”
“Too bad,” said Sonata with a smile. “I love children.”
They smiled again and released the embrace.
They both decided that it best to talk about other things. There was more wine and there was more talk.
Fluttershy would talk about what she and her friends had done after the Battle of the Bands . Sonata talked about her life on the run after the Battle of the Bands with her sisters, living, mostly, out of on old van. Trying to make some money performing or teaching music.
Laughs, talks and more wine. After the fifth bottle, they quit counting. This went late into the night. Neither remembered when they stopped and turned in.
The light was bright from the outside when Sonata slowly woke up. She was warm and comfortable. She realized, that although she’d brought pajamas, she was naked, just like how she slept at home. But she then noticed the feel of breasts against her own. A warm arm draped across her and her own arm around someone in bed with her.
Her eyes shot open. She and Fluttershy were in each other’s arms. Fluttershy’s smile would’ve made the angels jealous.
‘Oh my Faust! What the fuck have we done?’ Thought Sonata, hoping that her choice of words weren’t apropos.
Sonata didn’t want to move so she didn’t wake up Fluttershy because her arm was under Fluttershy’s pillow and therefor her head. But, it was a thrill to be holding someone so nice and pretty. And her breasts against her own was arousing. Other than her ‘sisters’, it was a feeling she’d not had for sometime.
Her mind was so busy that she hadn’t noticed that Fluttershy’s eyes were open.
“What’s wrong, Sonata?”
“You’re so nice and sweet, I don’t want to have ruined any friendship that had just started!”
“You haven’t,” said Fluttershy. “I don’t want you to think I’m some whore. My heart needed someone who understood my pain. I knew from when we first started talking, you understood because you’ve felt it, or still feeling it.”
“Thanks,” said Sonata, starting to tear up.
“It’s okay Sonata,” said Fluttershy. And then she gave Sonata a small but honest kiss. “Don’t be offended if we don’t do this again. Or at least anytime soon.”
However, she and Sonata hugged and shared a kiss.
“I don’t want to do anything to ruin this,” said Sonata. “But do you think it’d be okay if we hung out together?”
“I’d be hurt if you didn’t want to,” said Fluttershy smiling.
They agreed to get up and take a shower, they walked to the bathroom. Fluttershy turned on the water to let it warm. Sonata and Fluttershy held hands and just looked at the other, not always in the eyes. When ready, Fluttershy opened the shower door, Sonata watched. Fluttershy stopped, turned and said:
“Get in here silly.”
Sonata smiled, she didn’t have to be told twice.
As they showered, they took turns washing the other. More an excuse to run their hands over the other. But it felt so good that the two embraced and kissed deep an long. Yes there was some heavy petting involved. Neither one minded.
They dried each other off and went into Fluttershy’s bedroom to get dressed. But they again watched the other closely.
When dressed, Sonata cooked breakfast for them. It was delicious, Fluttershy hardly ever had anyone cook for her. When done, they cleaned up together and put away the dishes and went into Fluttershy’s living room.
Sonata was sitting on a sofa and Fluttershy brought them out coffee, she sat by Sonata. They sat quiet for a bit. Just sipping coffee and holding hands.
“Sonata,” said Fluttershy, “I hope you don’t think bad of me for this.”
“No Fluttershy,” said Sonata kissing Fluttershy’s cheek, “I only wished I’d someone to have comforted me when Silver Lance died.”
“Oh Sonata!” Said Fluttershy as she embraced her.
Sonata tried not to hug too tightly, as Fluttershy joined in the crying.
The day was spent with talk, laughter and just having a good time getting to know each other better. Both thought that it was funny how two people who almost destroyed the other had woke up in bed together after a night of tender lovemaking.
Fluttershy’s mother arrived with the baby and the mother was happy to meet Sonata. She mentioned how happy her daughter looked. Sonata held the little boy who giggled at every facial expression of the former Siren. Apparently, she hadn’t lost the power to charm.
It was a pleasant afternoon spent with Fluttershy’s mother along with the baby. After Fluttershy’s mother had left, Fluttershy insisted that she make dinner because Sonata cooked the night before. Sonata didn’t mind, it gave her time to play with Pine, who was totally enraptured with her.
Before dinner was ready, Fluttershy came in the room, took Pine and sat on the sofa. Something that had Sonata curious the night before became clear. Fluttershy held Pine, then she raised her shirt, unfastened a flap on her bra exposing part of the breast and the nipple. She put Pine to the breast where he started suckling right away.
“Fluttershy!” said Sonata, “how beautiful! I have heard of this, but had never seen it.”
Fluttershy just smiled.
“So that sweet liquid I got from sucking your nipple was…”
“My milk.”
“I didn’t take too much, did I? I hope Pine gets enough!”
Fluttershy laughed.
“Sonata, my body produces it all the time. If nothing else you help from my breasts not to become engorged and painful.”
Sonata watched the look on Pine’s face and the look on Fluttershy’s face as she looked at her son.
“I think it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Sirens do not reproduce like ponies or humans. We fed on emotional energy only. We are all females so no ‘sex’ involved and there are none of these!” Sonata said cupping her breasts.
Fluttershy giggled and had a sly smile. She raised the other side of her shirt, opened her bra, allowed Pine to suckle the other side, but she didn’t cover the previous side.
“Fluttershy!” laughed Sonata, who leaned over and licked a drop of milk on the vacant side.
Both women laughed and kissed carefully as not to disturb Pine.
ACT FOUR You Can’t Choose Your Family
Weeks become months and Sonata, Fluttershy and Pine were becoming close, they were dining with Adagio, Aria and sometimes the entire Chips family, or they were over at Fluttershy’s. Little Sonata and Adagio loved to play with Pine and the infant loved the girls. All were becoming a happy family. But something happened to put a kink in the new happiness.
Fluttershy was chuckling at things Aria and Mike’s children were saying. She couldn’t wait for Pine to be that age and see what he’d say. Especially if Sonata were still in the picture, which she was hoping.
She and Sonata were becoming closer by the day and Pine adored her.
Fluttershy’s parents were a little hesitant at first. But as they got to know her, they fell in love with her too.
Being that Sandal was an orphan, there wasn’t any problems with his side of the family.
Fluttershy was also thinking of how much she was kissing Sonata… In front of the family!
“Oh Sonata!” giggled Fluttershy still feeling the kiss on her mouth.
But like a bucket of ice water down her back, the joy was immediately squashed when she pulled up to her home and her driveway was blocked by a battered and rusty car. There was plenty of room for two cars, but it was parked at the very entrance of the driveway, and not even straight.
“Faustdamnit!”
Fluttershy was not one to curse, but in this case, it was apropos.
“Why’s Zephyr here?”
Normally she has heads up (from her parents) of his coming.
Fluttershy had to park on the street in front of the home. Her ire increased as she walked up to the home and the front door was wide open.
Fluttershy stepped into her living room and found it in disarray. Her television was moved to a corner (near the kitchen or at least where the food was) The coffee table was in front of the TV. Zephyr was actively dragging her couch towards that corner, scuffing the floor as he went!
Most of the other furniture was moved about haphazardly. Pine’s playpen was up against a wall and the love seat was pushed up against it. She saw that ALL her pictures were taken off the wall and in a pile. The wedding picture of her and Sandal had the glass cracked from rough handling! On the walls were pictures of Zeph, both photos and poorly painted portraits of himself.
“Zephyr Breeze! What in the name of Tartarus happened here?”
Zeph saw his sister, stopped and sat as he sprawled himself out on the couch.
“Oh hey Flutter-Bee,” he said as if nothing was wrong. “Where were you? I need help doing this!”
“Why?” said Fluttershy sputtering.
“I had to be comfortable if I’m going to live here, right?”
“Live here‽” said Fluttershy but she was interrupted by a knock at the door.
“That’s probably the pizza, go pay for it.”
Fluttershy was totally flabbergasted at the chutzpah.
Fluttershy turned to go to the door, trying to collect her wits.
It was more than just a pizza, there were wings, garlic bread and beer.
“That’s 50 bits please ma’am.”
Fluttershy paid and before she could do anything, Zeph had swiftly grabbed the food and went to eat without even a ‘thanks sis’.
To avoid violence, Fluttershy stomped up to her bedroom.
But soon…
“ZEPHYR BREEZE SHY!” came the shout from above.
Zephyr heard his name, looked toward the stair, but he didn’t move from his spot.
‘If Flutter-Bee needs something, she knows where I am,’ he thought.
Fluttershy screamed his name louder.
Zephyr rolled his eyes, got up slowly and came slowly up the stairs grumbling.
“What’s so important that I have to miss my program?”
Fluttershy was livid, she was trying her best not to go berserk on the little brother. She was standing at the open door of her bedroom, It was a complete mess. Drawers to the dresser were hanging open. Her walk in closet was equally ransacked. Pine’s crib was full of books and magazines.
Zeph’s bags and things on the bed.
“What have you done to my room?”
“I needed the extra space and quick access to a bathroom. I knew you’d understand.”
“Where’s my things?” Asked Fluttershy totally baffled.
“In your bedroom”
“THIS IS MY BEDROOM!”
“No,” said Zeph, not understanding why his sister was so upset. “Your new bedroom is down the hall.”
Zeph led her to the guest bedroom, there some of her things were on the bed, along with Pine’s clothing, toys and blankets.
“Where is Pine supposed to sleep?”
“Who?” Asked Zeph, totally at a loss.
“Pine, my baby!”
“Is that thing still around?” Said Zeph in a cavalier manner. “I need my sleep so you need to make sure it doesn’t make much noise in the morning.”
“What… How… Who???” Babbled Fluttershy totally at a loss. “That’s my son, your nephew !”
“Well don’t expect me to change any diapers.” Zeph said apathetically. Fluttershy thought how she’d make sure her brother wasn’t anywhere near Pine.
Zephyr just turned to go down stairs.
Fluttershy was musing. ‘Equestria abolished the death penalty a century ago in favor of life in prison.
But who’d look after Pine?’
“ZEPHYR! DRAG YOUR SORRY ARSE BACK HERE NOW!” Screamed Fluttershy, following her brother to the stair, in front of her room.
“What now?” said Zeph, irked that he was summoned back.
Zeph was silenced with a wave of Fluttershy’s hand. She took a long breath and let it out slowly. She was pondering if prison had daycare.
“Listen brother,” started Fluttershy, “I understand that you need somewhere to stay, temporarily.”
“Temporarily?”
“Temporarily! This is Pine’s and my home. The furniture is where I want it! The master bedroom is My bedroom. If you want to stay here, you will move everything back to where it was. You will take down all of your pictures and you will get all your things into the other bedroom.
And you will reimburse me the 50 bits for your ‘dinner’!”
“But Flutter-Bee?”
Fluttershy spun around, the daggers in her eyes could kill her brother if they were real.
“You will start by moving your car further up the driveway so I can park. Next you will take ALL of your things out of MY room and put them in the guest bedroom.
In the morning, you will put the furniture back where it was!”
Fluttershy took another, deep breath, sans thoughts of prison, and let it out slowly.
“As not to hurt you,” said Fluttershy trying to calm down, “I’m going back out. When I return, have your things out of MY room and my stuff back. And all those pictures off the walls. DON’T TOUCH MINE! You already broke a very important one.”
Fluttershy stomped down the stair and out the door, leaving a very forlorn Zephyr, not understanding why his sister was being so unreasonable . He was looking as if he was about to cry (which he was). He was amazed that his sister wasn’t the pushover she was in the past.
Adagio was doing late night reading of a magazine when there was a knock at the door. She got up to answer it.
“Fluttershy! What a pleasant surprise,” said Adagio giving her sisters girlfriend a hug, “come in, Nat is upstairs, but you know the way”
That last part was delivered with a wink. But Adagio noticed there was no mirth on Fluttershy’s face.
Fluttershy entered and Adagio closed the door.
“What’s wrong?”
“Family,” said Fluttershy.
“Oh Faust! I know that one,” said Adagio, chuckling.
“Thanks Adagio,” said Fluttershy who actually smiled.
“Hey, you’re almost family now, you can call me Dodgy.” Said Adagio taking Fluttershy’s hand.
“Thanks… Dodgy, may I go up stairs?”
“You don’t have to ask,” said Adagio giving Fluttershy another quick hug of comfort. “And I know Nat has given you a key. So you don’t have to knock and don’t worry. You won’t see anything you haven’t seen in the past!”
Despite herself, Fluttershy giggled remembering what Sonata had told her about intimate interactions with her pseudo-sister. She’d even walked in on Sonata and Adagio doing some kissing and heavy petting. Fluttershy was surprised that it wasn’t lewd, dirty or shocking. And she wasn’t jealous. Plus Adagio has some nice boobs.
Fluttershy went up to Sonata’s room and knocked on the door.
Sonata opened the door wondering who might be knocking. She was surprised that Fluttershy was there. The look on her face didn’t go unnoticed. Sonata gently pulled her girlfriend in and closed the door.
She turned to face Fluttershy who grabbed Sonata and hugged her tightly. The former Siren could feel the mixed emotions Fluttershy was sending. The most worrying of all was the emotions of hate being squashed by one of pity and family love. Fluttershy was fighting these back heroically.
“Fluttershy! What’s wrong?” Then almost panicked, “Has something happen to Pine?”
“No honey, nothing not quite that bad. Pine is at my mum’s. My narcissistic, lazy and disrespectful brother showed up at my home, has the place in disarray. He moved Pine’s and my things into the guest room and his junk into my room! He’d ordered food and expected me to pay the 50 bits!”
Fluttershy was red in the face and almost out of breath.
Sonata pulled her close and gave a deep intimate kiss. Fluttershy relaxed and melted into the kiss.
“Let’s give him time to fix everything,” said Sonata.
“How love,” said Fluttershy.
Sonata kissed Fluttershy again, Fluttershy understood what her love meant as Sonata started unbuttoning Fluttershy’s blouse. Fluttershy started opening Sonata’s jeans. It was almost a dance as they kissed walked and undressed the other, then they tumbled onto the bed. A mixed trail of clothing and underwear led to the happy bed.
“I love you Sonata,” said Fluttershy, not for the first time.
“I love you Fluttershy,” Said Sonata.
‘I love you,’ was the mantra for the night.
Downstairs, Adagio could hear sounds from up in Sonata’s room and her Siren sense could feel overwhelming love.
“Way to go, Nat,” said Adagio smiling and reading her magazine.
ACT FIVE Getting Things Straight
Fluttershy awoke to being held and Sonata’s raspberry eyes were looking at her.
“Sonata, don’t you sleep?”
“Yes, but I don’t think Sirens required as much sleep as humans. I get tired quicker than I did in the past. But I still don’t need as much sleep as you. Besides, I get time to listen to you snore!”
“I don’t snore!” Said Fluttershy only playfully indignant. She lightly pushed Sonata back, but her hand had “just happened” to have landed on Sonata’s breast. Fluttershy didn’t pull back.
Sonata looked down at Fluttershy’s hand and then into her eyes. A massive kiss ensued. Sonata’s hand met her lover’s breasts. After all, fair is fair.
“Fluttershy,” said Sonata, “as much as I’d like to make you squeal again, you have a brother to take care of.”
“Yes, my love,” answered Fluttershy, “and my mother is bringing Pine home today and I don’t want him near Zephyr, but my mother is wise enough to not leave the child with a more immature child.”
The two laughed and got up. Sonata was licking off the milk on her hand.
“And thank you for helping me to not become engorged.” Fluttershy giggled, “Helping with the breast pump and taking care of the leftovers !”
“My pleasure,” said Sonata giving Fluttershy a kiss.
They finished getting dressed, went downstairs, and got the saved breast milk from the fridge and both kissed Adagio and left to see what damage Zephyr had done, or undone.
Fluttershy and Sonata arrive at Fluttershy’s home. Zeph had yet to move his car.
“Darn him!” said Fluttershy. Sonata giggled at the not using profanity.
“What’s wrong, love?”
“I told my brother to move his car so I could park.”
“I have this,” said Sonata giving her girlfriend a small kiss. “Don’t go anywhere, okay?"
“No problem.”
Sonata got out of the car and walked over, looking at the car, she intertwined her fingers and popped the knuckles. Then she bent over and with one hand, picked up the drive side of the car and walked away as easily as pulling a child’s toy wagon. About ten minutes later, Sonata returned, not even winded.
“What did you do?”
“I just parked his car about half a mile down the road,” said Sonata with a wicked smile. “I hope he doesn’t get a ticket for parking in front of a fire hydrant.”
“Oh you!” Giggled Fluttershy.
The two entered the house. The furniture was still unmoved. The TV was still left on and the atrocious portraits of Zeph were still on the wall. Fluttershy looked at Sonata with an exasperated look. Sonata only took Fluttershy’s hand and kissed it.
In the kitchen, they placed the saved breast milk into the fridge, retrieved a large trash bag then they removed all the offending ‘art’ and placed the bag outside by the trash can (they were going to allow Zeph to retrieve them). Without any effort at all, Sonata was able to lift and place everything back where it belonged. Zeph’s trash from the previous nights meal they collected and placed in another bag.
Then they proceeded to the stairs and went up.
It was now about 10:00 and they found Zephyr sprawled out on Fluttershy’s bed, uncovered and naked. Fluttershy was embarrassed and looked away. She was about to say something but Sonata stopped her.
Sonata walked over to the bed and nudged the sleeping clown awake.
Zephyr felt something and opened his eyes. There was a very attractive woman looking down at him.
“Hey baby, you come to get some of my magic?” said Zeph, starting to fondle himself thinking he was about to get lucky.
Unfortunately for him, the only luck he was about to get was bad luck.
“Get out of the bed,” said Sonata calmly.
“Wouldn’t you rather get in bed with me?” trying to sound sexy but only coming off as pathetic.
“Last chance,” said Sonata.
“Now don’t be that way, I know you want some of this,” he said, obviously playing with his ‘member’.
But Sonata’s actions were not as expected by the fool. Sonata grabbed the bed and easily lifted the one side spilling Zephyr on the floor.
Zeph stood facing Sonata.
“What gives?” Said the imbecile.
“Your sister told you to do something when she left. You obviously didn’t pay attention to what she said. Now you're going to cover your nasty, ugly arse and tiny dick, then get your shit out of this room and place it outside the guest room. Fluttershy and I will take care of her stuff.
Do you understand?”
Zephyr nodded his head.
“Don’t I get breakfast first?”
“NOW!” Shouted Sonata in a voice that shook the home.
Fluttershy had never saw her brother move that fast.
Sonata and Fluttershy made coffee and were sitting at the dining room table just talking and holding hands.
Zeph came downstairs sooner than the girls expected.
“Done already?” Asked Fluttershy.
“Not yet,” said Zeph, “I can’t work on an empty stomach. What are you fixing?”
“Nothing,” said Sonata, “we ate at my place.”
“Then I’ll take 3 eggs, bacon, toast, coffee and juice,” said Zeph, sitting at the table.
“You can fix yourself something from the kitchen,” answered his sister.
Zephyr looked incredulous at the two women. But seeing that they weren’t going to do anything, he sulked off into the kitchen. It wasn’t long before he was back out with a bowl of cereal.
After a few bites, Zeph spoke up.
“Sis, there’s something wrong with the milk, it tastes funny.”
“I just bought a new gallon yesterday,” said Fluttershy confused. But Sonata’s face suddenly showed concern.
“Gallon?” said Zeph, “I just got the milk from the little bottles.”
Fluttershy didn’t know if she should be revolted or laugh. Sonata knew, she started laughing.
“What’s so funny,” asked Zeph, still eating the cereal.
“That’s Pine’s milk,” said Fluttershy,
“So? I think he can share.”
“It’s Pine’s breast milk,” said Sonata. Like most things, this just went over Zeph’s head.
“Never heard of that brand, is it organic or something?”
“Breast milk,” said Sonata reaching and placing a hand under one of Fluttershy’s breasts, “from your sister’s breasts.”
Zeph stopped with a mouthful. His greenish complexion was turning about as pale as his obviously colored hair. It was obvious that he was about to spit out the mouthful.
Sonata stood up quickly, fire was in her eyes. That didn’t frighten Zeph as much as the fangs Sonata was now showing.
“By Faust!” Sonata emitted a growl that would have made the old Adagio proud. “If you spit that out, you will be licking it off the table, floor or wall until it’s clean, understand‽ Swallow it, NOW! And so that you won’t waste it, you will finish your cereal and drink the milk, All the milk !”
Fluttershy had called her mother and told her that she’d pick up Pine. Then she drove Sonata to work, Sonata had brought her uniform with her when they were going to Fluttershy’s.
“Thank you for being there for me,” said Fluttershy.
“It really was my pleasure. I’m so glad we found each other,” answered Sonata.
The two hugged and shared a very respectable kiss.
“Call me later?” Asked Fluttershy.
“Count on it!”
Before getting out of the car, Sonata bent over the seat and kissed Pine in his car seat.
“I’ll see you too,” said Sonata to the infant. Pine just giggled.
As she climbed out of the car, Sonata turned around.
“I love you Fluttershy,” said Sonata with that infectious smile of hers.
“I love you too Sonata.”
Sonata closed the car door and waved as Fluttershy drove off.
Her fellow employees could see just how happy Sonata was, more than her normal self.
Fluttershy mused on the past couple of days and how there was the possibility that a person could have two soul-mates in a life. And Faust forgive it, is it possible that she was more in love with Sonata than she had been with Sandal? She loved Sandal with all her body, mind and soul and she was sure that Sandal loved her just as much. He was everything she needed in a mate.
He had taught her what love was, not friendship, she already knew all about that. But what physical and emotional love was. He had been the first man she’d ever given herself to.
But as with any heterosexual relationship, there was a factor that the other couldn’t have any way of knowing. This was the inner needs of the opposite sex. Not ‘the way they liked it’ but needs of the body that there weren’t any words that could explain. These factors were understood and for the most part accepted.
Fluttershy never considered herself to be a lesbian or bisexual. But with Sonata it was more than that. Here was someone who had felt her pain of love and violent loss. Who’s life was left empty, almost. Fluttershy had Pine to help her retain her sanity. But thinking on Sonata, losing her husband in battle and no child to cling to, it was perhaps why Sonata was so…
Evil?
No, with what she’s seen with Sonata, Adagio and Aria. Fluttershy was able to see it differently.
Misguided perhaps.
Apparently her girlfriend was needing Fluttershy more than Fluttershy needed Sonata.
ACT SIX Things Get Out Of Hand
Later that day...
Fluttershy drove up to her house and saw in her yard and flowerbeds six motorcycles.
“Faustdamn that Zephyr!” she cursed loud enough to wake up Pine. “Zephyr is out of here!”
Fluttershy gathered up Pine’s diaper bag and her son and walked to the door.
As she got to the door, some biker thug slung open the door, grabbed her arm pulling her inside almost violent enough to drop her baby.
“’Bout fuckin’ time you got here,” he growled, “we’re all hungry.”
“Then get something to eat, and not here,” that was met with a backhand to the face.
“Flutter-Bee,” said Zephyr, almost sympathetically, “these guys don’t play. You better put him upstairs and do what they say.”
Fluttershy was about to come back with something but Zeph’s look warned her not to.
Fluttershy took out her phone but one of the bikers snatched it out of her hand and broke it in two.
“Move it, bitch!” He bellowed, as she headed to the stair, another ripped her purse from around her shoulder.
“I said move it!” said the man, booting her arse.
Fluttershy ran up the stair.
“Hey guys,” said Zephyr, “you didn’t have to be so hard on her, she’s my sister.”
“Listen Z Man,” said one of the bikers, “if you want to be one of us, you need to suck it up. We don’t care if she’s your mother, she’s just a bitch. A life support system for a pussy!”
Zeph looked down and didn’t say anything else. He knew that this was going to cost him. Perhaps more than he was now willing to pay.
Fluttershy was putting Pine to sleep in the new nursery she and Sonata had just set up when she heard from below:
“Hurry up cunt! We’re hungry!”
Fluttershy had about cleaned out her pantry when they got done. She washed all the dishes and pots and pans. She could have done it with her tears. Then she went to her room, closed the door and lay on the bed and cried.
The worst thing was the largest (and drunkest) biker forced her locked door open splintering the door jam.
“There you are Bitch!” He said removing his pants. “Time for some dessert, the rest of the boys will be up for theirs later.”
He tore her clothing off ripping everything, then he threw himself on her and proceeded to penetrate her. As he started humping her as she mercifully passed out which didn’t concern the brute a bit…
Sonata woke up to the sound of her phone. She didn’t recognize the number and almost didn’t answer. But for some reason, she did.
“Hello?”
“Listen quick, I don’t have much time.”
“Zephyr? Why are you calling? And how did you get my number?”
“Just listen! I’m in the bathroom and I don’t have time.”
There was the sound of knocking.
“Ya about finished? Big Jake will need the bathroom to clean up after fucking the cunt. Willie will be needing it next. So hurry up! I want my turn.”
“What was that about?”
“I invited some guys over and they are trashing the place. They had Flutter-Bee cook for them and now I’m afraid they are doing something bad wrong to her… Hello?” The phone had went dead.
“ADAGIO!” Screamed Sonata, “Go get Aria, quick!”
“Why?”
“They're hurting Fluttershy!”
Aria told her husband he had to stay with the girls, plus she didn’t want him to see what she might have to do.
“I’d go faster Sonata,” said Adagio, “but the last thing we want is the cops to stop us. Not that we can’t handle ourselves but it would slow us down.”
As they pulled up in front of the house, they saw what had alerted Fluttershy.
“Faust on a stick!” swore Adagio, “I know we need to hurry, but we have to take care of those bikes!”
It took less than five minutes to mangle the bikes beyond operation or repair, and were thrown in a pile in the street.
“Let me do the talking,” said Adagio, almost like the past. But she had another reason, Aria was doing her best to keep Sonata collected. “Lets go. Remember, we can’t kill them. Understand Nat?”
Sonata nodded her head.
“Yes, Dodgy.” Came Sonata’s controlled response.
At Adagio’s instructions, they three of them opened their blouses enough to be inviting. They knocked on the door.
Someone none of them knew opened the door. He was wearing bikers leathers and smelled of beer.
In a flirtatious voice, Adagio answered.
“Is this where we can find Zephyr? He called needing some girls.”
The biker looked over at Zeph.
“Tartarus, ya ain’t worthless after all.”
Zeph just smiled.
“We can’t party on the doorstep.” Said Aria, caressing the man’s cheek, fighting the urge to snap his head off.
They were led in.
There were only four down here until someone came down the stair there was blood on his hands.
“Damn bitch had to be ruffed up to play along,” he laughed and all the bikers laughed. “Willie has her now.”
It was all Sonata could do to control herself and all Aria could do to keep her from tearing away. Sonata was the smallest but yet the strongest of the group.
“Nat, not now, we'll take care of them,” whispered Aria. She felt Sonata relax a bit.
“Who’s the bitches?” said the new guy.
“Girls the Z-man called.”
“Good, I’m still hungry.” He grabbed Adagio who allowed him to kiss her. The others acted as if they were going to as well.
But Adagio shouted: “NOW! Nat, upstairs!”
Sonata tore past one man and he was violently pushed aside. Sonata could feel ribs snap. It incapacitated him.
Five more to go.
‘Serves the arse right!’ she thought.
Sonata opened Fluttershy’s door in time to see the brute slap Fluttershy as he got off of her. It was obvious he had completed the deed.
“Is this where the party is?” Asked Sonata innocently. Trying not to tip her hand. She saw Fluttershy crying on the bed, ‘at least she’s awake,’ thought Sonata. She saw Sonata at the door, Sonata sbarely hook her head. It was all Fluttershy could do not to react.
“Oh,” said the drunken slob, approaching Sonata.
“Honey are you ready for the best time of your life?” Asked Sonata in a sexy voice.
“Tartarus yes!” Said the biker advancing on the new woman. He was going toward Sonata who was offering a hug.
As he approached, Sonata smiled. Then she grabbed his throat and his penis and lifted his 110 Kg body over her head without any trouble.
“Well too fuckin’ bad!” Roared Sonata, “screw what Dodgy said!”
Sonata threw the man, half naked through an unopened second story window out into the yard.
Sonata checked over Fluttershy, she could tell that there were no broken bones. So she covered her with a blanket, scooped her up and brought her down stairs.
Downstairs Sonata saw the six injured and unconscious men in a pile. They’d retrieved the one from out on the lawn.
“How is she?” Asked Aria holding Zephyr by the neck almost one meter off the ground. He was red but he was breathing.
“Where’s Dodgy?”
“When she finished instructing these arseholes the error of their ways, she went up after you,” said Aria
“Where’s Pine?” Asked a week voice. It was Fluttershy.
“He’s fine,” said Adagio, carrying the infant in her arms, he was giggling at Dodgy tickling him.
“Auntie Dodgy saw Auntie Nat was having a good time so I checked to make sure the little Angel was alright. He was fine after I changed him.”
Sonata and Aria looked at each other, they didn’t know that Adagio knew how to change a nappy.
“What?” said Dodgy, perceiving her sisters’ astonishment, “when you’ve lived over one thousand years around humans, you pick up a thing or two.” Then looking at Aria, “put that pile of filth down!”
Aria lifted Zephyr higher then let him fall.
Zephyr rubbed his throat and looked at everyone (not even thinking to ask how his sister was).
“I guess I can go now,” the imbecile said getting up and taking a step toward the door. But Aria grabbed his shoulder, hard enough to make the joint pop and the arse cry. “What’s that for?”
“Look around you, you sorry son of a Kraken!” Said Sonata, trying not to yell as she was still holding Fluttershy. “You caused all this, your sister told me everything. And It’s obvious, you said that these guys are here because of you. You’re going to have to answer for your actions.”
Then Fluttershy spoke.
“Please put me down honey.”
“Are you sure?” Asked Sonata. Fluttershy nodded her head.
“Okay, but I’m staying right with you.”
Sonata put Fluttershy down.
“Come here Zephyr.”
“Yes, Fluttershy?” said Zeph as he approached.
“You know our parents will be told about this.”
“Yes, but Flutter-Bee…”
“It’s Fluttershy! You have no right to call me that cutesy name or any thing else. I should have my Sonata and her sisters tear you apart!”
Zephyr looked at the girls, all three were displaying fangs. Zeph was about to mess himself.
The three former Sirens were looking at each other then at Zeph.
“But there would be too much explaining for us to have to do,” said Adagio.
“And the clean up takes so long, and we haven’t eaten a human in centuries,” said Aria.
“But I think that’s up to my love,” said Sonata, “what do you think, Fluttershy?”
Fluttershy slapped her brother as hard as she could, then for good measure she did it again.
Flashing blue lights shown through the open door.
LAST ACT The New Dawn
Months later…
Fluttershy had only been this nervous one time in her life, a happy nervous. She had gone to her friend Rarity to have her old wedding dress altered for the occasion. Rarity gave that look of disapproval that only she could give.
“You’re kidding right? Right?” Asked the fashionista. “First of all, that’s yours and Sandal’s wedding dress, yes it’s special, but this is a different special. You’re starting a new life with a new partner. A partner neither of us would have expected just a few years ago.
And Darling, I don’t remember you this happy the first time, not that you weren’t happy then.
Plus I don’t think I could have done anything to the dress to compensate for this.”
Rarity playfully nudged Fluttershy’s expanding belly. Then almost timidly she said.
“By the way, Fluttershy Darling, You never said how Sonata took the news. It must not have been too bad, being you’re getting married.”
Six months earlier...
Fluttershy was nervously watching Pine play on the floor. He was crawling fast and kept trying to stand. This was joyful, but the news of her follow up appointment, because of the assault, was taking the edge of what should be the happiness of watching her son. Usually Sonata would go to these appointments with her, but the manager of the Enchilada Gong was on vacation so she had to fill in, she being the assistant manager. In a way, Fluttershy was glad her partner didn’t come this time.
The front door opened, right on time. Fluttershy’s blood ran cold.
“Honey! I’m home!” said Sonata snickering, “I’ve always wanted to say that.”
Sonata had, only days ago, moved in with Fluttershy and Pine. Pine heard her voice and his face lit up as he crawled quickly to Sonata.
Sonata picked up the baby and tossed him in the air, luckily the ceilings were high. When she caught the infant she hugged him and covered his face with kisses. The child squealed with glee. She then, carrying the baby as she walked to Fluttershy, gave her a deep kiss. The smile mostly returned to her face. Still having the senses of the siren, Sonata could feel something different.
“What’s wrong Fluttershy?” asked Sonata.
Fluttershy looked down and was silent.
“Honey, was there something wrong with your appointment?”
Fluttershy nodded her head.
“What?”
Fluttershy handed Sonata the lab results from her appointment.
“I don’t believe it!” Said Sonata, who put down Pine and turned and left through the door.
Fluttershy’s worst dream was coming true! Sandal had left her and died, through no fault of her own. Now Sonata had just left, again through no fault of her own. She began to cry.
It was only about five minutes, but to Fluttershy, it was an eternity. Sonata appeared in the door, she was followed in by Aria and Adagio.
“Is it true?” demanded Adagio.
Fluttershy was frightened, Adagio sounded like her old self. A slight overtone of threat was perceived in her voice. Here were the Sirens, they still had the power to destroy herself, Pine and the entire house.
Fluttershy timidly nodded her head. She waited for the ‘Hammer to fall’. But that changed quickly.
“We’re gonna have a baby!” exclaimed Sonata.
The sisters grabbed Sonata and hugged her then they rushed to Fluttershy and hugged her as well. Very careful not to hug too tightly, but it was tight, but it felt warm and loving.
Sonata and Fluttershy kissed deep and long in spite of the audience.
The present…
“Wow Fluttershy! That sounds so sweet, and who would have ever guessed!” Said Rarity happily. “Now trust me, you’ll look fabulous!”
The two hugged and laughed.
Some months later…
Fluttershy and Sonata brought the new baby home after Fluttershy gave birth to a beautiful daughter. The aunts were waiting for them. Along with the once enemies now close friends and their mates from CHS. When Fluttershy was made comfortable, and the baby fed, the extended family gathered around.
“Okay Sonata, Fluttershy, is her name going to be secret forever Darling?” Said Rarity, always the inquisitive one.
“Sonata told me that you three gave up so much including immortality to live with ones you could truly love.” Said Fluttershy, “and Aria gave her two daughters names of her sisters so the names could go on.”
“She obviously is not my blood,” said Sonata, “but we all will love her as if she is.”
“So we decided on…” Said Fluttershy holding the new daughter close.
“Aria Blaze Dusk,”
Tears were in Aria’s (The Elder) eyes as in Adagio’s. There were quiet murmurs of approval.
There was a quiet almost party catered by Pinkie. No one stayed too long, Fluttershy and little Aria needed their rest. After Sonata thanked all the came and hugged and kissed the sisters, the little family settled in for the night.
