If Discord wasn't reformed

Lord Tirek roamed through the dark streets of Ponyville, draining ponies of their magic.

He eventually came across a unicorn that was packaging something, he approached the unicorn intent on draining him of his magic until...............

"Tirek, I presume?" The unicorn turned around to reveal Discord's goat head smiling at him, to which Tirek stepped back in confusion.

"Discord. You're free?" Tirek asked the spirit of disharmony, to which he responded by turning into a parrot.

"As a bird." Discord replied.

"Well, I commend you on your escape." Tirek congratulated as he took a bow, however Discord merely turned into his default form.

"I'm afraid the feeling isn't mutual." Discord stated as he snapped his fingers, causing handcuffs to appear around Tirek's arms.

Enraged, Tirek fired a blast at Discord, however he merely split his face to avoid the blast, before re-emerging it back together.

"Oh, I should have known you would want to have Equestria all to yourself." Tirek grimaced, as Discord was wearing a police outfit while spinning a baton around.

"Oh, silly old Centaur, if I wanted you out of the picture do you really think I would keep you in chains over sending you back to Tartarus myself? No no no no no, I've come to make a bargain." Discord stated, as he dropped his baton and took off his police uniform while approaching the Centaur.

"What?" Tirek didn't know what the Draconeqqus had to offer him.

"You see, my return did not come without a price. The tree of harmony appears to have gotten stronger, and because of that my magic is now restrained to mere parlor tricks instead of grand destruction." Discord stated, as he pulled a cat out of a top hat, which burst into a million cards.

"It is keeping me from spreading chaos everywhere in Equestria, and because of my restriction I am unable to destroy the tree myself. However, a being like you with almost all the magic of Equestria in your finger tips would have the power to blast that darn tree into oblivion." Discord stated.

Tirek tilted his head while listening to Discord's explanation, figuring out where he was going with all this.

"Here's what I propose: I help you round up all those ponies to drain the magic right out of, in exchange that you destroy that overly shiny plant once you have the strength to do it." Discord told the demon Centaur.

"After that, we could split this place, fifty/fifty. You rule the land on one half, and I spread chaos on the other. How does that sound?" Discord asked Tirek, before holding out his hand to shake on it.

Tirek stepped back a bit, unsure if he should trust Discord. "What's the catch?" Tirek asked, figuring there must be one to this little deal.

"No catches, this is a genuine offer from someone who's trying to be......... Well, not a friend, as that would be too sappy. Something like, an acquaintance?" Discord offered, as he waved his hand a bit desperately trying to get Tirek to shake on it.

Tirek hesitated a bit, before stopping to think about this offer with consideration...............

Meanwhile..................

Twilight arrived in the Canterlot throne room after receiving an urgent letter from the princesses.

"I came as quickly as I could! Is something wrong? Is it Tirek?!" Twilight asked the princesses.

"I'm afraid that we may have underestimated how deadly our threat has become." Celestia lamented, as the scene transitions to show a theatre applauding until the curtains open to reveal Discord in a magician outfit.

He then places his top hat on the floor, and taps it a bit before it begins to rise up, revealing Tirek underneath a sheet.

"Tirek has made an alliance with Discord, and is using him to take more magic." Celestia stated, as the scene progressed to show Tirek draining the magic from everypony in the audience, as Discord clapped from a box seat above.

The energy from the magic caused Tirek to grow stronger, and larger.

The scene then cut back to Twilight in the throne room.

"But why didn't the guards stop him?! What happened to them?!" Twilight asked the princesses why the guards couldn't stop Tirek although they actually never did anything useful ever.

"With Discord by his side, his magic has shown to be too unstable to confront directly, allowing Tirek to drain their magic as well." Celestia explained, as the scene cut to show Discord halting an army of guards with a giant shield, before Tirek sneaks up on them and drains their magic.

"Tirek has drained enough magic that he now has the strength to steal flight as well. Without Pegasi to control the weather, there will be no rain in Equestria." Celestia stated, as the scene cut to show the wonderbolts flying in to stop Discord and Tirek, only for Discord to freeze all of them in place while dressed like a waiter, as if he was giving a patron their order.

"There is word he has gone after Earth ponies as well. Without their strength, they will not be able to tend the land." Celestia stated, as the scene showed Discord rounding up a herd of appleloosians with a fishing rod while dressed like a fisherman, Tirek then walks out of a saloon and stares at the Earth ponies with a wicked grin.

The scene then cut back to the Canterlot throne room.

"Ponies will no longer be in control of their world. That power will belong solely to Tirek." Princess Luna stated.

"There is no doubt that Tirek is after Alicorn magic. With Discord by his side, we will not be able to stop him from taking it." Celestia stated.

"Once it is in his possession, his power will know no bounds, and all hope will be lost." Luna lamented.

"But there is one solution. It is only by making this sacrifice that Equestria and the lands beyond might be saved..................... We must rid ourselves of our magic before Tirek has a chance to steal it from us." Celestia stated, as Twilight gasped in shock at this sudden command from the princess.

Meanwhile......................

Discord stared as Tirek absorbed energy from a group of helpless ponies, until he suddenly felt a strange sensation in his being, something he haven't felt in a long time............

"That can't be right........." Discord pondered to himself.

"What can't be right?" Tirek asked the chaos lord as he overheard his worries.

"This hasn't happened to me in a millennia, but it would seem that I sense the princesses have transferred their magic to another............." Discord pondered.

"And I assume this is part of their plan to ensure that I can't drain them of their magic? By giving it up themselves? Pathetic..........." Tirek scorned.

"Perhaps............. Though it could be part of something bigger........... Whatever the case, we should head to Canterlot castle now, so they don't have a chance to catch us off guard." Discord stated, as several guards tackled him, but quickly dispersed into hundreds of birds as he emerged as a snake that grew into his base form.

Tirek merely chuckled at the sight of this, "You always had a deranged sense of humor." Tirek applauded, as Discord took off his head and bowed it as if it were a top hat.

Tirek then proceeded to charge Canterlot castle as Discord followed.

Later..........

The Canterlot guard guarded the bridge as they noticed the sun and moon moving topsy turvy, until suddenly the guards were lifted up in the air as Shining Armor's helmet floated from his head.

"Shining Armor, why, whatever are you doing here?" Discord politely asked as he wore Shining's helmet.

"Back off!" Shining Armor threatened the lord of chaos.

"It's more then Discord you need to worry about captain." Tirek warned the captain, as he drained a guard of his magic before tossing him aside.

Shining then blasted magic towards Tirek, but Tirek merely caught it with his hand before eating it.

Then Tirek grabbed Shining by the muzzle and drained him of his magic as Discord watched sadistically.

As Shining Armor fell to the floor, Tirek wrapped his arm around Discord.

"Why don't you have a little fun? I won't stand in your way." Tirek offered the Draconequus.

"As much as I'd love to let loose, I'm afraid that as long as the tree remains standing my power is limited to mere puppet shows and magic tricks." Discord demonstrated by turning his hands into puppets of Princess Luna and Princess Celestia beating each other up.

"Very well then......" Tirek sighed.

"Instead, I will make SURE that the princesses are taken care of." Discord instructed Tirek, as he gave a quick nod and they both headed to the throne room.

Meanwhile, Princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadance all laid down on the floor magicless. Until they heard stomping approaching the throne room.

Lord Tirek smashed through the wall grabbing the doors before tossing them aside.

"My friend here says that you gave up your magic so I couldn't steal it from you, you call GIVING UP a plan?!" Tirek mocked the princesses, only for them to give a slight nod in acknowledgement.

"How does it feel? Knowing that soon every pegasus, Earth Pony, and Unicorn will be weak and powerless, and that there is NOTHING you can do to stop it?!" Tirek threatened the princesses as he lifted them with his stolen magic.

"You will not prevail Tirek." Celestia warned.

"Give my regards to Cerberus." Tirek stated, before he sent all three princesses to Tartarus through a portal he created.

"You forgot to mention the trees destruction, you will go through with that right?" Discord asked, as his eyes flashed a bit of red as a hint of a threat.

"Of course, I just didn't give away such crucial information to our enemies. Just in case they somehow find a way to escape." Tirek assured Discord.

"I've got my eye on you Tirek, we PROMISED we would split this place fifty/fifty didn't we?" Discord stated, as his eye grew massive to look at Tirek while two fifty icons flashed beside him.

"I wouldn't have it any other way my jovial compadre, but we don't have any more time! With the princesses out of the way we can now-" Tirek was about plan their next move, until his eye suddenly caught the stain glass of a purple Alicorn Princess.

"Is this meant to be HUMORUS?!" Tirek lashed out at the lord of chaos.

"Oh no! I haven't touched that one yet." Discord told Tirek.

"There's a fourth? And you didn't tell me this?!" Tirek yelled at the Draconequus.

"Well, I just needed to get the firm knowledge that this is a TEAM effort, and I think disposing of the boring, old, lame, princesses grants me that knowledge." Discord assured Tirek that he was just about to let him know of the fourth princess.

"Then where can we find this fourth princess? Where is her castle?!" Tirek demanded knowledge as he grabbed Discord by the throat.

"Oh no there is no castle, Princess Twilight Sparkle is a RECENT Alicorn who lives in the golden oak library." Discord informed Tirek, before the Centaur let go of the Draconequus.

"Not for much longer......." Tirek threatened, as he melted the glass portrait with his magic as he marched toward his intended target.

Meanwhile...............

The mane five plus Spike were waiting for Twilight to return and give them good news.

"Alright, y'all. I think we've warned everypony to stay inside." Applejack assured her friends.

"I'm sure Twilight will catch Tirek and this will all be over soon." Fluttershy told her friends.

"I just wish the princesses could have sent us to help instead of grabbing Twilight for their attention alone, what do they have to hide from us?" Dash pondered with her friends.

"Maybe the fact that I'm BACK!" Discord caught the mane five plus Spike by surprise, as he manifested a giant cage around them.

The ponies plus dragon squirmed through the bars trying to escape, but to no avail.

"Ta-da!" Discord presented the victims to Tirek.

"You've gathered up all of them?" Tirek asked Discord for conformation.

"And her little dragon too." Discord rubbed Spike's chin, before he tried to bite his fingers.

"Teaming up with Discord?! That's a cheap move beardy!" Dash yelled at Tirek.

"He helped me grow strong, he provided the means by which I can obtain Princess Twilight's magic. And now it's YOUR turn." Tirek stated, as he begun to drain the ponies and dragon of their magic as Discord watched with glee.

As the cage fell to the ground with the ponies completely drained, Tirek begun to grow more powerful and gained a few pounds plus a mohawk.

"You really think she'd do anything for them?" Tirek asked Discord.

"If Twilight has magic to give, it will be yours. Soon there won't be a Pegasus, Earth Pony or Unicorn who will be able to stand up against us." Discord proudly stated, before Tirek nodded to hunt down Princess Twilight Sparkle and take her magic............

Meanwhile............

Twilight stood between two giant rocks, annoyed by how unstable her teleportation was with the magic of four Alicorns.

"PRINCESS TWILIGHT!!!" Twilight gasped with fear at the sound of her name being roared.

"Tirek!" Twilight charged her magic to escape.

"YOU HAVE SOMETHING THAT BELONGS TO ME!" Tirek roared, goading Twilight to come out of hiding.

Twilight destroyed the rocks as she tried to fly away from Tirek, whooshing past him.

She eventually flew back like a boomerang before crashing to the ground and hitting Lord Tirek.

They both stared at each other intensely.

"You're going to give me what I want." Tirek stated, as he attempted to drain Twilight of her magic.

However, Twilight teleported out of draining distance before firing a magic laser at Tirek, sending him landing into a nearby rock.

As Tirek got up, Twilight landed to the ground and stared at Tirek with contempt.

"Now I see what your fellow Princesses have done." Tirek mocked, as both he and Twilight charged at each other to duel for the Alicorn magic.

Later, after an epic showdown.......

Twilight and Tirek got up from their injuries, at an impasse from their combined magic and strength.

"Give it up Tirek! You won't get this magic!" Twilight stated to the magic hungry Centaur.

"If you won't give it to me willingly, then I shall take it by force! Discord! Subdue her so I can drain her magic!" Tirek ordered the spirit of disharmony.

"Well...... I would, but should I?" Discord pondered.

"Discord! We promised we would rule on two halves!" Tirek yelled.

"Yes we did, but I remember you promising that you would annihilate that overgrown tree as soon as you had the power to do it, and instead you chose to seek even more power when you could have kept your word. Not to mention the fact that you boss me around and treat me as a servant to you when we're supposed to be equals in this debacle. So why should I help you now?" Discord asked.

"Discord! You know I was getting to it!" Tirek stated.

"Sorry Tirek, but you're on your own. I'll just have to look for another way to destroy the tree of harmony. Toddles!" Discord bid, before he teleported away from the scene.

"DISCORD!!!" Tirek roared at the chaos spirits betrayal, before turning around and seeing Twilight charging up a powerful spell.

"What are you doing?!" Tirek yelled at the purple Alicorn.

"Sending you back where you belong." Twilight stated, before she fired the spell at Tirek.

As Tirek screamed in agony, he could feel his power being ripped away from him as he slowly descended back to Tartarus.

The magic Tirek stolen was then returned to their original users, as the princesses were freed from their imprisonment.

As the mane five plus Spike gained back their magic, Twilight flew back to them in desperation.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't help you! The princesses needed me to contain their magic so Tirek couldn't steal it!" Twilight told her friends, as they looked at her in contemplation.

"We know you were only doing as you were told Sugarcube, but we still should have been there for you." Applejack told Twilight, as they all hugged it out to cool down.

"I better return the princesses magic." Twilight stated, before she flew off to do just that.

However, unbeknownst to the ponies, Discord silently watched disguised as a tree.

"You may have won this time Twilight Sparkle, but that tree is going to go, and when it does, everyone and everything you know is going to change, FOREVER....... I just need to wait until the time is right................"
