If Discord wasn't reformed

Starlight Glimmer, with the help of Spike, started off setting everything up for the spell-venger hunt.

When they kicked off the Spell-venger hunt, they went to Twilight's observatory to watch the teams.

Meanwhile, Smolder and Ocellus were wandering a hallway in search for an artifact.

"I hope you know where you're going."

"To the helm of Yksler!"

"Eh, works for me."

"In our book, it says Yksler was an honorable yak warrior. Any enemies that saw him put down their weapons in peace. I think his artifact must be in one of these suits of armor."

Smolder spotted a helmet on one of the suits.

"I'm guessing that one."

Their magic shields lit up when they approached, confirming it as the artifact.

"Yes! One down, five to go!"

Meanwhile, Starlight and Spike were watching from the observatory.

"Awww, Ocellus and Smolder found their first artifact! Wait. What's that?"

The suit of armor begins to slowly approach Smolder and Ocellus.

"Uh, I don't think that's part of the spell-venger hunt!"

The armor charged for them, but they ran out of the way and hit the wall before giving chase.

"The school is haunted!"

"And not cool!"

Starlight and Spike could only gasp in horror.....

Meanwhile.....

"We're totally gonna win this spell-venger hunt!"

"Yeah, I doubt that. But at least I know where one of the artifacts is. Saw Spike hide it yesterday."

Gallus's shield lit up near a portrait, so they opened it.

"The crown of Grover! Score!"

"They say it's magic and King Grover used it to become the first ruler of Griffonstone. I know, pretty sweet, right?"

"You paid attention in class!"

"What?! I-If you ever tell an-"

The portrait suddenly slammed shut, as the image of King Grover begun to animate.

"3D painting!"

The portrait then growled at them as it flew off the walls, causing Gallus and Silverstream to run away in terror.

Then, all of the other portraits begun to animate, chasing after unsuspecting students participating in the spell-venger hunt.

However, amidst all the chaos, Starlight and Spike looked through the telescope, and saw none other then the spirit of Discord, laughing maniacally at the chaos he's creating.

"Oh no.... He's back!" Starlight exclaimed.

"Why would Discord be trying to scare the students? What does he want?" Spike wondered.

"I don't know, but we have to put a stop to him before he hurts anypony!" Starlight exclaimed, as she bought back down the lift.

Meanwhile....

"Hmm... What Yona look for?"

"The Shell of Knuckerbocker. It's like a seashell, but if you blow into it, you call a dragon! There's a sweet poem in our book about it. 'Climb to the heights with dragon flight.' Gasp! Like flight of stairs!"

"Yona take pony word for it."

She stepped on the stairs, but it was mushy and liquified.

Sandbar begun to sink too.

"What's happening?!"

"Yona not know! But Yona do know Yona not like spell-venger hunt!"

Discord laughed evilly, as he teleported the shell of Knuckerbocker to him, before exiting through a wall.

The school was in complete chaos, students were running from living suits of armor, flying portraits, and were sliding through the floor.

However, as soon as Starlight and Spike arrived at the scene of the crime, the chaos just..... Stopped.....

All of the students looked confused as to why everything just suddenly turned back to normal so suddenly.....

"Temporary head mare Starlight, what just happened?!" A student asked.

"It was Discord." She answered.

Everycreature gasped in shock and horror of the lord of chaos's presence being to blame.

"Stay calm everycreature! We're going to make sure he can't hurt anypony, though I don't know why he would cause chaos so suddenly only to leave unless......"

"Unless it was a distraction?" Spike finished the sentence.

However, Twilight and her friends soon returned with some bad news....

"Our friendship mission wasn't real! It lead us straight to a dead end!" The friendship princess exclaimed.

"It was some kind of glamor spell on our cutie marks!" Dash explained.

"I think I know whose fault THAT is...." Starlight stated.

Meanwhile, Discord floated beneath the caverns of the school of friendship, as he manifested back into his physical form.

He then examined all the artifacts of the spell-venger hunt that he stole.....

"Now I have everything I need for that little brat....."
