Chapter 20: Promises

“What time are you coming home?” Fluttershy asked me.

“Somewhere around eight. You know, the usual time.” I said getting out of my car. “Why? What do you have planned?”

But spring break was coming up and we are finally going to have some good time to spend with each other, maybe even go to the beach.
“Peter!” I heard my boss shout my name, snapping me out of my train of thought.

“Yes mister Bronsick?” I said looking up at him.

“Get back to work; you’ve been sitting there for the last ten minutes doing nothing.” He angrily yelled at me.

“Sorry, I’ll get back to work right away.” I said turning to face my computer monitor.

“And don’t forget! Today you’re working an extra two hours.” He said before leaving.

“Son of a bitch…” I muttered.

“What was that?!?” He said turning around quickly.
“Nothing sir…” I said before picking up my first call of the day.

Finally after 9 hours of work I was finally home but due to how busy the day was I wasn’t able to tell Fluttershy I was working the extra two hours, surely she would be upset.

“Fluttershy…” I called out as I entered the house, leaving my coat and keys by a chair that was placed next to the door.

There was no answer so I walked into the kitchen where I saw evidence of the night Fluttershy had planned. Some candles were placed in the middle of the table with two plates on each side. One with traces of food on it.

“Damn it…” I whispered as I mentally hit myself for doing this to Fluttershy.

So you guys really thought the story was done? Well think again! Consider this as act two if you want? Anyway there is "clop" in this but only a quick scene since I wasn't in the mood to fully develop it. And yes. I will be updating more frequently again.
