While things were happening in Equees, the digital world was seeing something that wasn't punishment nor was it a hall outside the borders of Equestria.

The Digital Capital was once again seeing it's typical share of things, but inside the castle, Empress Alli was with Lars as they rode an elevator. Only, instead of heading up, the elevator was heading down.

"It's that time of the year again, isn't it Empress?" Lars questioned.

"I always regret coming down here. Even still, this is just part of the deal that was agreed upon so she would leave me alone." Alli said.

Soon, the elevator doors opened up, and up ahead was only a single cell. Unlike the other cells contained within this castle, this cell was special as it held one particular prisoner: A much more menacing looking digimon than any other.

"Well, look whose come down to visit. Has it really been a whole year already? Time sure flies down here~" The Digimon said; their voice laced with venom.

"...It's nice to see your doing well, mother." Alli said. "At least you've been eating the meals you've been given."

"Not the best, but I'll take what I can get." Alli's mother said.

"These are your rules in regard to prison food, not mine. I'm only keeping them because I can see where the idea of punishing the inmates here comes from, even if it was turned on it's head because of you." Alli said.

"Admit it, despite all your efforts to get out from my influence, you enjoy the torture~" Alli's mother teased.

Lars suddenly glared. "How dare you talk to Empress Alli that way?! She's nothing like you!" Lars said.

"And whose this I see with you? Have you finally decided to get a playmate?" Alli's Mother asked. "I wonder, have you been using your hypnosis on him?"

Lars looked pensive but then...

"THAT'S ENOUGH!"

Alli had yelled so loud, that her own mother was suddenly taken aback by it. "Every year...every year you keep trying to push me; to see how far you can take me." Alli said. "Well, this year, you've hit the limits on what I can tolerate. Congratulations on that I suppose..." Suddenly Alli was glaring at her own mother. "...Dilerance..."

"Now I'm hurt; you'd dare call--"

"YOU ARE NOT MY TRUE MOTHER!" Alli suddenly interrupted Dilerance. "Valarie, she's my real mother. You may have been the one who gave birth to me, but it was Valarie who raised me like a real mother should." Alli said.

Dilerance was speechless. Here was her own biological daughter, basically denouncing Dilerance as her mother. "E-empress Alli..." Lars said.

"I was trying my best to see if we could ever truely be a family again." Alli said. "The three of us, you, me, and my sister. Yet, ironically, despite all your tactics, you failed to get me to stoop to your level."

"Who's to say the three of us still can't be a family again?" Dilerance said.

"I do." A female voice said. Suddenly, a second Black Gatomon approuched the cage.

"M-Marina? Y-your out of jail? How?!" Dilerance was confused.

"Because unlike you, I've spent the time in jail reflecting on all the things we did to Alli; to my sister!" Marina said. "And when she visited me last year, I apologized for the way I was to her. I wanted to start over with her, be her sister for real."

"You can't be serious!" Dilerance said.

"But I am. I have a life now. A real, proper, and happy life. Hell, I've even got a boyfriend. Not some toy to use to make babies, but a genuine proper boyfriend!" Marina said. "I wouldn't be surprised if in the coming months, he decides to propose to me. I'd say yes in a heartbeat. And you know why?" She suddenly looked like she was serious. "Because I LOVE the life I'm living; and I wouldn't trade it for the world."

Marina then left, leaving Dilerance completly speechless. "It's so funny. You were the one I took over Digital Capital from. You had all the control, but now, it's all gone." Alli said. "I'm no longer the only one whose escaped from under your thumb, Marina has too."

"H-how...w-why..." Dilerance had clearly been defanged completely.

"See, I don't need to impose stricter rules on you for your little push just now, Dilerance." Alli said. "You've become punished enough from seeing both your daughters escaping your evil ways." She then smiled. "And that's a reality you'll never escape from."

Alli and Lars then left the special cell, all while a completely defeated Dilerance was left to stew in her own thoughts of failure.
