My Little Pony: When Friendship Shimmers - Rewriting Fate

Several years would pass in Equees and the Digital World. These years would see Sunset doing her part to encouraging Twilight to make friends with Moondancer, which is relevent because right now, Twilight is at Moondancer's birthday party with Spike having brought a little something for Moondancer. Spike being the name of the dragon Twilight managed to hatch from the dragon egg.

"Twilight, did you get anything?" Moondancer asked.

"Sadly I wasn't really able to find anything. I'm sorry." Twilight said.

"That's fine actually." Moondancer said. "Because I'm happy that you actually attended this year."

Moondancer's statement might have come off as shocking, but the truth of the matter is, Twilight hadn't come to Moondancer's birthday party the past two years. Sunset practically begged Twilight to go this year, despite Twilight's nervousness around new ponies.

As Twilight continued to enjoy the party, meanwhile across the land of Equees at the HQ for The Knight's Order, a cermony was taking place.

"As the leader of The Knight's Order, I, Captain Garrison hereby knight our newest member Zalmeno into a Moogle Knight." Garrison said, passing over the outfit of a Moogle Knight onto Zalmeno who gladly took the outfit.

"Newbie certainly earned it, I'd said." The Nu Mou of Garrison's unit said. "He's got the heart of a knight for sure."

"Agreed kupo." The Moogle Knight that was part of Garrison's unit said. "Something about him is a little familiar to me though, kupo."

"Is that so?" The Bangaa of Garrison's unit asked.

"I just can't exactly place him right now, kupo." The Moogle Knight said.

Zalmeno was changing into the new outfit. "As part of my thanks for helping me sort out The Knight's Order, I shall appoint you to my personal unit effective immediately." Garrison stated. "As such, allow me to introduce everyone: First, there's the Nu Mou Scholar Hark."

"That would be me yes." The Nu Mu said. "Part of my duties is to provide intel on the various beasts we encounter."

"Hey, no interrupting." Garrison said. "We also have the Bangaa Defender known as Charles, and a veteran moogle knight known as Cinnamon."

It took a lot of willpower for Zalmeno not to jump out of his clothes right then and there. Cinnamon?! What are the chances I'd find him here again of all places?! Zalmeno thought to himself. It's the same Moogle Knight that I fought all that time ago, kupo.

Cinnamon was looking at Zalmeno. I swear, it feels like I've seen this guy before, kupo Cinnamon thought to himself. But there's no way I could've encountered him before; it'd be hard to forget a moogle that's got the spirit of a knight, kupo.

"I've also got your first mission, Zalmeno." Garrison said. "Rumors abound the slums of Goug about a crystal having landed there three years ago. We don't know any more than that."

"Is there anything special about the crystal, kupo?" Zalmeno asked.

"I have determined that the crystal is very likely a behemoth's crystal." Hark said. "If one of those beasts were to find it's way onto Equees, the results would be catastrophic to say the least."

"Indeed." Garrison said. "We can't allow that crystal to fall into the hands of evil. Therefore, your first mission is to determine where the crystal is, and if need be, convince the current owner of it to part with it."

"I will make sure I succeed at my mission, kupo!" Zalmeno said.

"Good, the fate of the world depends on you finding that crystal." Garrison said.

Back with Twilight, Sunset was soon rushing up to the party. "Sunset, where have you been? You've almost missed the entire party." Moondancer said.

"Yeah, well, I wish I could stay." Sunset said. "Princess Celestia would like Twilight and I to go to Ponyville to oversee the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration happening the day after tomorrow. As such, we need to leave tonight."

"Aw...I had a feeling this would happen at some point..." Moondancer said.

"It'll be fine; I'll make sure if nothing else, Twilight writes you a letter detaling everything that happened." Sunset said.

"How exactly are we going to get to Ponyville in the middle of the night?" Twilight asked.

"HELLO!" It was Alli. "You must be Twilight Sparkle. Name's Alli."

"It's nice to meet you." Twilight said.

"I should hope so: Aren't you the ruler of Digital Capital?" Moondancer asked.

"That's correct. My official title is Empress Alli." Alli said. "However, I don't mind the two students of Tia addressing me simply as 'Alli'."

"Okay, you have to be super good friends with Princess Celestia to want us to not call you 'Empress Alli'." Sunset said.

"Like I told you before, it's complicated." Alli said. "But don't you worry, the time for me to uncomplicate the complications is fast approaching."

Twilight wasn't sure what Alli meant, but deep down, Twilight had a feeling. She didn't want to say anything on the event she was wrong, but there was a chance that Alli had some relationship to Nightmare Moon; or at least, to the pony who became Nightmare Moon.
