A few hours later, and it was now time for the sun to be up. Alli makred the place where Valarie's body had been digitized with a headstone.

"In memory of Valarie; trusted friend, loving foster mother" is what the tombstone read.

"Valarie's consciousness may be getting reborn, but it won't be the same when it does." Alli said.

"I don't think we've ever had a funeral without a body before." A white unicorn stallion said.

"...Prince Blueblood." Sunset said, voice laced with venom.

"Now now Sunset; there's no need for that hostility." Rarity said. "It's great to see you again, Blueblood, despite the circumstances."

"It's great to see you again too Rarity. How's Sweetie?" Blueblood asked.

Sunset wasn't sure what she was hearing right now. "Oh you know, kids." Rarity said. "I think she'd enjoy a visit from you at some point in Ponyville."

"What an excellent idea, I think I'll take you up on that offer." Blueblood said. He then turned his attention to the tombstone. "...Still strange how we are holding a funeral and yet, there is no body to bury."

"Niece of mine, I told you Digimon don't die like ponies do." Celestia said.

"Besides, this is important to Alli." Luna said.

"I did my best to do as you ponies tend to do." Alli said. "I hope I did it right."

Marina put a paw on her sister's shoulder. "You did well enough for her memory, sis."

"There is one other conern though: The key to Dilerance's cell; it wasn't left behind when Valarie's body digitized." Alli said.

"...Valarie had a key to Dilerance's cell?" Marina asked.

"It's the only copy of that key too. The only two people who knew Valarie had the key, was Valarie of course, and me." Alli said. "And that scares me."

Just then, something began beeping on Alli's person. "Isn't that your Digivice going off?" Marina asked.

Alli checked it. "Video message?" Alli was confused, but let it play.

Just then, a digital screen popped out of Alli's digivice, and showed Dilerance. "Oh no..." Marina said, worridly.

"Happy Birthday to you~" Dilerance's message began with her singing.

"...Wait what?" Pinkie Pie was confused.

"Happy birthday to you~" Dilerance continued to sing.

"Sh-she didn't..." Alli said.

"Happy birthday, Empress Alli~" Dilerance continued to sing.

"She would; the bitch..." Marina said.

"Happy birthday to you~" Dilerance finished her song. "And many more."

"Wh-what is she--" Pinkie Pie was still confused.

"Sorry we couldn't have our usual meeting on your special day, daughter of mine." Dilarance said. "But now that I know about Marina's betrayal to me seven years ago; the day the rebels defeated me; I not only plan on breaking you thoroughly this time, but I am so going to make sure your sister is digitized just like your foster mom was." The video message ended with Dilarance laughing.

"N-no...that-that means that today...today is..." Pinkie Pie was putting the pieces together.

"My birthday..." Alli said.

"And as Marina informed me...the day Dilerance decided to make the day of Alli's annual visitation to her mother..." Fluttershy said.

"So then...that's why..." Pinkie Pie said.

"Dammit...Dilerance has gone too far..." Alli said.
