My Little Pony: When Friendship Shimmers - Rewriting Fate

The Grand Galloping Gala; known for being one of the most anticipated events in all of Equestria; wanted to be visited by ponies the country over. And yet today, it's usual guest list now hosted a swarm of undead zombie ponies, and a mysterious figure Alli called "Gorzon".

"Who are you? And why are these undead ponies here?" Celestia asked.

"Why are there undead ponies at the Grand Galloping Gala? The better question is, why shouldn't there be?" The Mysterious figure asked back.

"What kind of twisted logic is that?" Celestia asked.

"Don't bother trying to wrap your head around him, Tia." Alli said. "That being is an undead shapeshifter that alligns with no one whose only motive is to destroy all mortal life; a true psychopath who calls himself the master of darkness."

The mysterious figure gave off a laugh, but one that was emotionless; making it sound very, very evil. "Psychopath? Are you sure your not referring to your biological mother, Empress Alli?" The undead being asked. "And what kind of introduction was that? I can do one better: I am the one who brings terror to the masses, an undead shapeshifter whose motives are as dark as a starless & moonless night. I am the master of darkness, the one, the only, Gorzon!"

Twilight and everyone else was doing their best to fight back against the undead horde. "I hate to admit it, but I think I like Alli's description a bit better." The purple unicorn stated.

"Aw...how boring." Gorzon said. "At least I've done my part to make this Grand Galloping Gala a night to remember. After all, whose going to forget the time a horde of undead zombie ponies attacked the Grand Galloping Gala?" He then gave off another one of his emotionless evil laughs.

"Geez, is he loco in the koko or what?" Pinkie Pie asked, as everyone started to make a dent in the undead forces.

"I think we're winning." Shining Armor who was there at the gala said.

Suddenly the undead ponies who had been seemingly defeated, rose again, and seemed fully restored. "...What in Tartarus?!" Night Wing exclaimed.

"Do you honestly think you can stop the undead? You can't. No matter how many times you defeat them, they'll just get right back up for me." Gorzon said.

"There's got to be some way to--" Shining Armor noticed something. "--Ahah!" He then rushed over, and used his hind legs to cause a sceptor to topple over; causing the jewel on top of it to break.

When it did, the undead horde turned to ashes. "...I was really, really hoping none of you would've found that..." Gorzon said. "Oh well. I've already done what I needed to do here tonight. You may have won the battle, but you will not win the war against me." He concluded.

"You are not going anywhere." Celestia said.

Suddenly, Gomma rushed in. "E-empress Alli, I-I just found Valarie outside in the gardens and seriously wounded."

Gorzon then gave off another emotionless evil laugh. "I was wondering how long it'd take for some creature to find my handiwork. Seems you'll be too preoccupied with Valarie now." The undead shapeshifter said. "But know this: You haven't seen the last of me." The monitor Gorzon had been using retracted.

"Valarie!" Alli exclaimed and quickly rushed out, followed by everyone else; Gorzon's emotionless evil laugh filling the castle as they headed outside.

Every one at the gala soon rushed to the Gardens, where Valarie was still laying. "Valarie!" Alli said.

"A-alli...I-I'm sorry you have to see me like this...I-I don't think I'm going to last much longer..." Valarie said.

Alli's eyes began to fill up with tears. "I'll make sure the one who did this to you pays for what they did Valarie."

"Y-you can't make a promise you won't be able to keep." Valarie said. "The one who did this...they were...The Reaper..."

Just then, Valarie's entire body vanished and turned into pure code. "Wh-what just happened to her?" Twilight asked.

"Did you forget Twilight? Digimon don't die; at least not like ponies do." Marina started. "When a Digimon suffers injuries as severe as what Gorzon did to Valarie, their bodies turn into code; and their consciousness is later reborn when their new self hatches from a Digi-egg." The Black Gatomon continued. "But when that happens, their memories of their previous life will be gone."

"I do have to wonder...why did Valarie call Gorzon 'The Reaper'?" Alli asked.

"It doesn't matter sis. We'll make sure Gorzon faces justice for this." Marina said.

Alli smiled. "Thanks sis. I am going to miss Valarie though."

"I know you will sis." Marina said as the camera began to zoom out. "I know you will."

Meanwhile, in an unknown location, Gorzon stared at a group of five torches. Each one was labeled with a different word.

BETRAYAL

SADNESS

GREED

CRUELTY

DECIET

The torch marked "Betrayal" was burning with an ethereal red flame, and in a few moments, the torch marked "Sadness" began to burn with an ethereal blue flame. "Two down, three to go..." Gorzon said as he looked at the pentagram centered within the five torches. "Once all five torches are lit, I can incite the incantation that will bring forth the collector of souls known only as The Reaper. And then, the mortal race will cease to exist." The undead being said and gave off an emotionless evil laugh that continued even into the end-credits for the episode; completely replacing the credits music.
