Prologue

It was a sunny day in Nevada but not the kind that would make you a shade fanatic, no, it was the kind of day that had a cool crisp air, no dust either; anybody would be happy and smiling in such a day, anybody that is, but Alexander Tenner.

“Ah, a new job – so… just tell me the target’s name and its whereabouts, so I can kill him pronto”, said Alexander in a bored tone.

“Oh, straight to the chase! Very well then, Mister Tenner, your target is located at the old mine”, said a shrouded figure.

“Ahem!… and how do I get there?”, asked Alexander.

“It’s easy, just take the highway and go on for about 30 miles.”

“Ok, then tell me the name of this guy.”

“Very well! Hmm,… his name is….”

BOOM!!!..., a bomb planted in the casino exploded right next to Alexander.

“Ouch! my head… what happened?”, asked Alexander. “Good, my throwing knives and sword are here but where is my pistol… Ah damn it, I left it in the car. Well then, let’s see now what my injuries are and why the fuck am I in a tropical forest.”

Alexander then tried to move, only to be surprised that he was not injured at all, which could not have been possible, but since he was in a forest, a tropical forest by the way, he just disregarded it.

“OK, so let's recap: I was in a casino in Nevada and a bomb exploded; I am alive and still have my weapons. Up till now, nothing weird and I woke up in a forest, impossible that may seem; this is definitely weird!"

He looked around and saw a hill without any trees on it so he thought it would be a good idea to climb it to find out where he was but boy was he wrong

Alexander climbed a hill and found himself attacked by a wild animal thing which would not usually have scared him, had it been a proper wild animal. Little did he know that this thing was a manticore.

“Oh shit!” was the only words he could say, before the manticore charged at him. He managed to dodge the manticore and

started running like hell and through some stroke of luck to lose the manticore by diving in some vegetation.

"Few that was close." Said Alexander

Alexander heard a scream and started running towards the source of it hoping it would be some sign of civilization but was completely caught of guard by what he saw A blue pony with pink mane and tail and a lotus on it's flank was screaming for its life as it was chased by the same thing that almost got him merely two minutes ago Alexander grabbed a rock and threw it at the manticore soon enough the creature started chasing him. he managed to escape yet again from the manticore but not without getting three cuts on his back.

"That was too close for comfort" muttered Alexander to no one in particular

“Thank you, kind sir” said the pony with the lotus on its flank.

"Woaaa. how did you... how the hell did you find me?"

well i followed the trail of destroyed trees that the manticore left behind.

"Oh... ok, horsey, can you tell me who are you, where the fuck am I, and where is the nearest town?”

“Pony and nearest town is Ponyville and at the moment you are in the Everfree Forest.”

“Ok, Pony, and what are you doing here?”

“I was gathering some herbs for the spa and was about to head back to Ponyville, then the manticore attacked and you know the rest”.

“OK, so lead on”.

“Very well. Oh, and might I ask what are you doing with those weapons?”

“It’s because of the job”.

“What is your job?”

“I am a bodyguard” lied Alexander.

“Oh goody, so you protect people! I’m happy to meet you. My name is Lotus Blossom.”

“Alexander Tanner”.
